I've already used bladestorm. 18 enemies might not be a lot, but since that with the right build, you can reduce the length of the animation by A LOT, spamming it compensates.

adnif an enemy gets downed, you simply stop spamming.

Whatever downsite bladestorm might have is astronomically small to its positive sides.

Well, let's take into consideration Ash's other 3 abilities.

Shuriken is nice, especially with syndicate mods. Smokescreen is crap because of the super low duration, and not worth modding for. Teleport is all right, although sometimes buggy.

In his whole kit, Bladestorm as an ultimate seems fine paired with his other abilities. Smokescreen needs a duration buff, and that's about it.

Let's also take into consideration that if you mod Ash that way, it is your choice to do so. Is having the "right build" not a reward? Should I not get the satisfaction of a strong ability after formaing, potatoing, and modding? I mean, those corrupted mods do take some effort to get, as do the forma, as does all the time spent re-leveing.

Regardless of whether that happened or not, I dont consider a nerf to an ability that grants invincibility AND completely desintegrates mor than 18 enemies with a VERY high level cap something bad.

18 enemies is not a lot. The invincibility is a double edged sword-if someone gets downed, you can't pick them up. Back when bladestorm was actually broken and targeted infinite enemies, you would be stuck bladestorming while teammates died. The same case can happen here if you are stuck bladestorming. The invincibility is needed because of the teleporting, but you lose mobility for power duration which I think is fine.

look, its orange and apples. Atlas one is ok because it doesn't disturb or interrupt other people. Ash's 4 is not because it does all those things. It is irritating not to be able to play the game because someone is doing it for you.

Atlas doesn't interrupt people? Is that the metric we are using? Because in that case, please nerf WoF, because it actually is a P42W button.(No nerfs, I'm being sarcastic. Frames need buffs.)

If someone else is playing the game for you, why are you playing public? If you hate how other people use their frames, play solo. That option is there. I mean, I don't care about "kill stealing" because I've played enough hours that if someone actually helps, it's a blessing.

Don't get angry because someone is doing something more effectively then you. If you keep putting yourself in a position like that, it's your fault.

is that button "4" when you are playing ash?

Is that button 1 when playing Atlas?

Please tell me why this is a problem. Actually, don't bother. I know I'm not going to convince you that it's totally okay to have a fun, stylish ability that is effective and uses a button in a game that's about killing as many things as possible.

    In short:
PVE: You are bashed if :
             -You dont follow the "META"
             -Use to powerful guns
             -Use weak guns
-To actually play the game and not pressing one button over and over (example: Trin, Nekros)
PVP: There is a chance you get "nice" whispers after a match if:
             -You use your powers
-Win game with more Oro than kills
             -You perfromance is worse
-Or simply you dare to kill somebody from the "Daikyu bulletjump nyx elitisim"

These are my experiences if I go public. What are yours?

I find the opposite with PVE. I get bashed if I use powers, over and over. I mean, if we're gonna talk crap about hitting one button over and over, Atlas goes into that territory and I don't think there is anything wrong with that.

What is wrong with hitting a button repeatedly?

I don't know anyone that has gotten bashed for not following meta. In fact, most people get angry if you suggest something related to meta, and tell you to tryhard somewhere else. I don't understand it, but I guess I'm just old or something.

  6. I've been telling people this since the Saryn nerf. No one cares unless it is a frame they play, that they know, that they've sunk many forma and hours into.

It's like people telling me to get over how much crappier X brand of chips is now, the chips that I love and have loved for a long time. Is this person a fan of X chips? No, they like Y. They have no objective qualifications to say X is fine and I'm a tinfoiler, yet they continue anyway. Until their chips are messed with, then suddenly they are angry.

Balance will not exist in Warframe until Enemies have a level cap. This is the truest statement you will ever read on these forums.

You know what was less fun than Solitaire? Sitting in an Interception mission and waiting for the bar to move across the screen while a Mirage on a macro spammed Prism.

Now, thanks to a nerf, we actually have to *gasp* interact with enemies to win Interception missions.

Seriously, what is the point of playing a game about action and combat when some abilities can absolutely remove action and combat?

Are you implying that sitting in an interception for ages is fun, regardless of the method used?

Interception is horrifically boring. In fact, most endless missions are terribly boring, only on the note that after a few hundred hours grinding for X or Y, you become honest to god bored. It becomes repetitious. You fall asleep during these missions. Have you fallen asleep during survival? After the horror story that was farming Ash Prime and seeing Void survival in my sleep, I can clearly say that even with satisfactory skills and/or weapons, the grind makes it horrific and will literally turn anything in this game into something NOT FUN. These recent nerfs have reduced ways to bypass the grind that is KILLING THE GAME. The grind is what kills the FUN in this game. There is a difference between content that is skill-gated, and RNG/time-gated. Warframe is FILLED to the brim with the latter, and has very rare examples of the prior.

I say that as a vet with 1600 hours(steam logged). The last honest to god satisfactory moment I had, bless my heart, was the Tactical Alert for Tempo Royale. My god, that was fun. That was difficult, and fun, and there were so many ways to do it. It pushed frames to the limit, and when I finished it, it felt like a challenge @(*()$ won.

Back to my original point, DE has trivialized their own game by ramping up the grind to an insane extent, and then nerfing frames that excelled at bypassing grind. And I say that having played many MMOs, where the grind was real. At least Vindictus had truly satisfying gameplay without the fear of nerfs because something hit too hard against the endless grindwall. Warframe has lost that, and while having a truly original and interesting IP, is ruining itself with these shenanigans that do not address core issues.

So is the point of all these reworks to turn every frame that was great at one thing into frames that are mediocre at a couple things? Are we eventually gonna wind up with a bunch of frames that are all mediocre at a couple different things, but aren't particularly great at anything? I don't know about you but I have more fun playing an uberbeast, knowing that I worked hard to get my frames that way. No thanks to "The Meh-ening" every frame will just be meh from now on.

Pretty much, yes. Anytime anything is efficient, or, you know, actually works, people on these very forums ask for it to be nerfed. In a PVE game.

It has been this way for years.

You're talking about end game content with level 300 enemies. Rare exception bud. This game has plenty of content where you don't "get killed through shields and health (you forgot armor) with one shot from across the map" stop putting your expectations on everyone else lol. Would you have DE completely redesign the game? Would you rather enemies didn't scale with time? I assure you that the alternative is much worse for this game.

What about Raids? NM raids? Sorties? Are they content that should be ignored? Should our expectations, as players who play this end-game content, be ignored? Do you realize what you are saying here? You're telling players not to do X content even though it exists within the game because it's too hard?

It would be like telling me I can't do Torment V in D3 because it's "not balanced" to starting gear.

I would have DE make an enemy level cap, or at least lessen the curve of enemy difficulty in higher levels, because after a certain point it skyrockets.

  10. Maybe if end-game enemies weren't so broken op (inb4 lol don't do 60mins of t4s, what about raids? NM raids?), people wouldn't be so upset at the only major way of surviving got nerfed into the ground.

There is no point trying to rework frames when DE refuses to touch enemy scaling and BS. It's just going to be people wanting "cheese"(effective abilities that dont' require a street figher combo to use) nerfed.

  11. They made a healer suck at healing, and don't see the problem with it.

I have literally never encountered a community that thinks that would be ok in any way, shape, or form.

I doubt they will give us back Bless Trin. They rarely go back on nerfs, and even if people bring up good reasons to rollback, DE takes it so personal that they fall back on the "its our game we do what we want" behavior, which just divides them and players even more.

  12. Stealth nerf spotted! inb4 thread lock.

I don't understand nerfing Hydriod. He was already super niche, then got loot nerf'd, and now a stealth nerf? Really? For what purpose, I mean, why is there such an importance on nerfing frames when u19 is looming around the corner?

You ...  forgot that nightmare raids even exist and that blessing was annihilated as well. I saw once that blind already couldn't save Mirage in nightmare in a split second when bless ran out and napalm spawned from the closed hangars' door behind her basically one-hit killing mirage, and saying gg to the raid since at this exact moment she was on the pad and the core was on the electrified part of the rail. Fcn shade didn't help because it takes forever for it to even notice that there's an enemy near you. It literally took one second to fail the whole raid even with the blessing, even with the shade and having quick thinking on the frame. And there was no human factor because you can't possibly do anything to a napalm that hides behind the null's field , you can't move from the button, can't do sht at this point just die and fail.

I'm going to quote this so it can be emphasized again. These recent nerfs were nerfs for players to beat endgame content. Even though people called Prism and Bless a crutch, the timing was so important in Raids and ESPECIALLY NM raids that if there was one second screwup, it would be over.

We need more CC abilities that can deal with the BS that is high level enemies. Especially with how many different units with CC abilities are being thrown at you anymore.

  14. Do you even realize it's low MR players who haven't gone past Jupiter that are crying for nerfs? Not the vets. Not the players who have been here for hundreds of hours.

Actually, the people crying for nerfs seems concentrated on this forum, for some reason. It's very strange!

yea, DE seems to move forward with their own vision no matter how negatively it effects the players, or screws up already working setups. They have an idea and they will go through with it until either its finished and now everybody has the setup DE decided works...or we just move on to something else. That's what i do these days...just move onto the next weapon or frame that is still enjoyable.

    This, basically.

Also the irony in Mag's rework making her AMAZING at killing everything that isn't Corpus. I don't know how that happened but it did. And @marshmellory is correct, with 4x cp she does become useless. It's a really weird spot to be in.

  16. Equinox's abilities that aren't rest or maim do need a buff to make them more usable. But they are still in an okay spot, and a favorite frame of mine to use. Granted I had to forma Equinox multiple times and the nerf to neg duration last year screwed up their build, but hey, whatever I guess.

I don't think Equinox is a bad frame. They are pretty good, all around, just needs a little buffing here and there to make the other abilities as useful.

  17. It was broken stuff dealing with broken enemies, and so was legitimized. Now we just have broken enemies, and fewer ways to act against them.

It's also S#&$ for people who put in all the time to forma and re-forma things to get a specific build, then DE changes something and that person is stuck. There should at least be a free polarity change option for affected frames.
