Best they could done is make Sigils a separated slot above Focus in the gear menu, this way i won't need to check every single frame i have to see if they have the sigil i want, and there is quite number of frames in this game, if you choose Hexis sigils, all frames you play would get REP for them until you change it.

Not only that, it would make easier to know what sigils you have or not, fishing the sigil you want on the current sigil tab is a nightmare if you have lots and lots sigils.

This isn't a half bad idea either!

I just check my sigil if I want to know this. It does not take much effort to find out. I am yet to find a group that objects to waiting the five seconds it takes to check and change.

    • That said, I am not sure why we don’t have this already. It wouldn’t hurt, assuming it was small and out of the way.

Totally understand your point of view! However, your last sentence there is partially why I think it's worth bringing up. It seems rather obvious, don't you think? Not game-breakingly terrible that we don't have it, but something that also wouldn't hurt to have, and it might even help people out from time to time.

Like I said, I'm the kind of person who tends to space out and just go without any extra thought to things like sigils and such.

  3. So, I tend to focus on my Syndicate standing quite a bit. Sometimes, keeping track of what syndicate I'm representing can be a slight bit of a hassle.

    Occasionally I hop on, switch warframes, and play the game without realizing which Syndicate I'm representing until I'm already 2 hours or so into my play session. It also doesn't help that I like to make the colors of everything on my warframe blend in one way or another. Sometimes those sigils are hidden in all the colors, complex geometry, and beneath attachments like syandanas because I tend to put them on the back. ^^;

I imagine I'm not the only one who experiences this, so I'd like to suggest a small change to the HUD that may help. Simply put an icon somewhere on the screen that indicates the Syndicate faction you're currently representing with your sigil. I personally would like to see this put into the HUD when viewing any part of the arsenal (especially the overview), so one could have another chance to see it, and make a snap judgement to either dip in and change it, or leave it the way it is, not forcing them to do either in order to get the information they need (which would be helpful in the situation of being in a group who is waiting for you to finish changing things up for the next mission).

To see this icon on the HUD at all when playing the game (maybe even have an option to turn it off for those who don't care as much) would be fantastic in and of itself, and I think a decent little addition to the in game HUD.

This event has a warframe tied behind it. If they'd let it time out without unlocking, there would have been a business ending backlash about going full pay2win from a huge part of the community.

There's a very simple solution to this problem. Don't put an entire Warframe behind an event like this, and definitely don't RELEASE the Warframe onto the market DAYS, if not WEEKS, before it can be farmed in game.

All this being said, I understand the problems a lot of people are coming at this with. I'm personally not too upset over it, but I do think it sucks that DE would artificially inflate the progress for this event, or any event for that matter. The fact that they HAVE to artificially inflate it at all is evidence to me that it's not a well thought through event. What kind of game is Warframe if people aren't doing the events, but are still eventually being rewarded for their completion? A waiting game. That's pretty easy, but also pretty boring, and it undermines the efforts of the people who WERE doing the event.

I think this whole situation is just a result of DE not properly communicating what exactly the rewards for this event were, and perhaps not putting in enough of an incentive for players to go out and scan the data hashes. Even just a little reward, like 2-3 Diluted Thermia per data hash scanned might have been enough to get people to scan these things more.

    ===UPDATE: Dec 19 @ 12:45pm===

    Hi all,

Thanks for your patience and understanding as we get this sorted! As of the PC hotfix this morning, the toggle has officially been removed.

Removing the toggle was the first step as we investigated alternatives. Since this is the first time we’ve experienced this issue with a Prime, we weren’t sure of the timeline, especially with the holidays just around the corner. But, good news, a solution has been found!

Basically, we have taken Prime details from Mesa Prime and have attached them to her base model -- this altered base model will be used instead of the Mesa Prime model for the toggle. Since this is the first time an alternative model is being used for the toggle, extra set up may be required, but we are hoping to get this out soon.

TL;DR: the toggle will return, and will no longer cause broken textures!

Thank you for working to fix it. For future reference, being clear about working on fixing a problem, or wanting to "investigate alternative fixes" to the problem will put your user base more at ease than only acknowledging that there is a problem. We do appreciate the work the team does, we just like to be reassured that the problems we have are being taken care of.

I’m okay with this. I’d rather let the prime frames look really gorgeous and have a lot of effort put into them rather than have the primes be hashed out all for the sake of skins that NOT EVERYBODY buys, for the record.

If I want to use the Tennogen skin I’ll just use the tennogen skin, no big deal. The Prime is awesome, it’s like its own deluxe in a way, and the Tennogen skins are awesome. As long as there are metal bits I’ll be fine (once body is separately colored from Helmet, I’ll even be able to use the devil skin parts more and mix and match with them!)

The precedent for primes thus far has been set, and that precedent is "All Primes are able to use their prime details on their tennogen skins, or they can turn them off." You see, that last part is important here, for you specifically, because YOU can turn them off if you don't like them. But screw the people who do want them, right? Screw the people who took money out of their wallet to support an DE, and an artist they clearly liked the work of, right? Mind-boggling.

For every primed warframe to be able to use their primed details with their tennogen except Mesa Prime is a slap in the face not only to everyone who loves Mesa, but to everyone who loves Mesa and were looking forward to using their Tennogen skins on Mesa Prime with ALL of the bells and whistles that came with every other Primed Warframe.

For you to say that you're okay with this shows a serious lack of foresight on your part, especially since DE already had an option for people like who you "don't want primed details on their tennogen" with the inclusion of the toggle feature. Encouraging DE to take options away from other people is not just mind-boggling, but it's actively counterproductive to your own interests. DE isn't going to get praise and support by undermining the standards they've already set for themselves, and they're certainly not going to encourage the community to buy primed access or tennogen if they're not willing to provide the proper support for either.

Man, after reading all screaming in here, the devs have implied that they may work on a fix. As it sits, just having a prime toggle not working doesn't fully impact how you want to customize your frames.

I'm still going to buy tennogen, and customize to my heart's content.

It's just a little prime toggle that got removed for now. Not permanently.

I wonder if some of these people are taking into account how much the devs are busting there Clem Primes getting us content as fast as they do. They have loads of new content they are working on and a simple prime toggle can easily be put on a back burner until the content that requires much more attention gets taken care of.

I'm sure the devs are working on it, though it's just not a major game breaking priority right now.

If they're working on it, they're doing a poor job of communicating that fact, and that's what people are upset with most of all it seems.

"We’ll do our due diligence for future Primes to turn off the toggle prior to release if model discrepancies make the toggle unusable."

That's a direct quote from the OP before it got edited, and nothing in the edit made it seem like that philosophy changed or was corrected. Rebecca made a comment on twitter that didn't help the situation much either.

People just want them to say the words "We are working on fixing it" or "We will be trying to make Primed details work on Mesa Prime tennogen in time". And they're not. And they're implying that they're not going to from the looks of it.

Am I the only one here who thinks this reaction of "That's it, this one prime has #*!%ed up prime details so we can't use it with Tennogen, I'm never going to buy Tennogen ever again because this one mistake/issue" is a bit over the top? Since they added the toggle option, every prime has worked (with that Valkyr issue that was fixed), and DE has explained why this time something went wrong. Don't get me wrong, it does seem to be a lack of foresight by DE to not realize that the model is so different that it would affect other skins, but then again, most of us here are not developers, and if this is a legitimately complex issue then we are just going to have to accept that.

I get that people want to fashion frame the way they want, and I encourage DE to be accepting of community feedback and ideas of how to fix this issue, and be clearer about their intentions in terms of time instead of a vague "in the future" but really guys, this update has been out for less than a day. Seems a bit early to be throwing in the towel already.

People aren't throwing in the towel. They're trying to get a definitive "this will be fixed" out of DE, and everything we've gotten from them so far seems to be rather defeatist on their part. Nothing I've read thus far has given me an idea that they want to even try to fix this, let alone that they're actively working on doing so, or planning on doing so after the holidays.

From the sounds of, "We’ll do our due diligence for future Primes to turn off the toggle prior to release if model discrepancies make the toggle unusable," in the original post, the philosophy going forward seems like it might be "we'll work really hard on the primed warframes and how they look by default, and if primed details don't work on tennogen, tennogen users be damned". I like to think that DE would have the sense for maintaining the status quo they've set for tennogen and prime details thus far (that being ALL tennogen can use primed details), but I can understand why people are frustrated with all of the non-responses they've been getting from DE thus far.

Regardless of the fact whether or not it's a tough issue to crack, they've cracked tough issues before, and it's not inconceivable that there are ways to tackle the issue, and several work-arounds that are completely within DE's grasp, like, for example, getting the tennogen creators to rebuild their skins but for Mesa prime, and just making sure everyone who owns THAT tennogen is able to use the Prime variant on Mesa Prime. DE isn't poor, and they can afford to pay the creators for that, guaranteed.

EDIT: The fix I just suggested is something that could definitely work, but it's also a "worst case scenario," "we can't get tennogen as it currently is to work on this primed warframe" type of fix. Break glass in case of emergency, and I think it's very possible there's a simpler solution to the whole issue that wouldn't require rebuilding several skins.

I totally understand why it's upsetting as there's a clear precedent for toggles working in the past, but I want to offer a bit of extra clarity here since you mentioned Valkyr.

The issue with Valkyr Prime details (and other texture issues with Primes) is completely separate from the issue here. Those were set up incorrectly and were a bug -- Mesa's are set up properly, that's not the problem unfortunately. We have never had this problem come up with Prime details on a TennoGen skin since previous Primes stayed fairly true to the original Warframe's model. This is the first time that Prime and the original model are so different that the Prime details simply don't line up properly, resulting in the texture problems that are currently live. 😞

The toggle is being removed because of how 'broken' the Prime toggle is. That's all the info I have at the moment.

The info people want to hear is, "this will be fixed given time" and, "we will work with due diligence to make sure all future primes are capable of using primed details on tennogen".

Kinda sucks to be someone who uses Mesa Tennogen, or someone who wants to buy Mesa Tennogen, only to learn (out of nowhere I might add) that you'll not be able to use a feature all previous primes were capable of using. It's also not a good call to throw in the idea that some future primed warframes may not be able to use this feature as well. People kinda wanna know that the precedent isn't going to be changed on a whim.

  10. As the title says. Gilding my kitgun skipped the naming process. Now if I want to name it, I have to spend plat to do so. Maybe there's something about the modular system that I didn't know? If so it's definitely something that doesn't seem to be clearly communicated unless I really missed something. I do have 6 total kitguns now, so I dunno if that would have caused this, intentional or not.

  11. I've been to a particular animal conservation start node a few times now, and every time I've activated it, the tracking portion of the conservation doesn't start. It doesn't even put the yellow circle on the map. It's the only node I've had issues with, but I'm sure I haven't hit every single node in Orb Vallis, so there could be more. The location I'm speaking of is just south east of reflector control, on a slope leading up to some giant mushrooms.

Here are some pictures for better reference (hopefully it works). The waypoint on the map is exactly where the trail start node is.
