  1. The only thing DE needs to do to drastically drain the market of Platinum is to make Tennogen purchaseable with plats and to make the real value of plat known and stable, lowering its price to 1/4, and removing discounts whatsoever (so that it's always on a 75% discount). I, personally, would propably spend 10-15k of plat yearly on Tennogen alone, and being able to buy platinum whenever I want to without having to wait for discount would make me buy it more often. Also, reworking rivens to work more like Incarnons which are awesome, to destroy plat hoarding rivens traders. And obviously to make great cosmetic packs purchaseable with platinum, not collections like this one. Pulling stunts like with this collection is going to only garner dissatisfaction and will make the game bleed players.
  2. Huh? Are we really playing the same game? If you want slots for weapons, pets, warframes, you need platinum. Everything is time-gated, everything needs bazillion of formas which most people just buy with plats because of how annoying and slow they are to get. Warframe was never truly free, and will never be, because somehow they need to make their ends meet. Truly free games are for example Dota2, Lol, or an oldschool Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. Every single plat you earn through trading someone had to buy, and what you're bartering here is your time. A classic example of a stockholm syndrome. I play the game, I like it, I support the devs by buying platinum. But this collection that the topic is about is an amalgamation of corporate greed and disassociation with your playerbase. Your type of mental gymnastics is why we can't have nice, fairly priced things anymore (with a few exceptions like Witcher saga, BG3, Fromsoft games)
  3. Nobody in their right mind, or at least anyone who values their own work and money, buys platinum without a discount, as it is very overpriced. With 75% discount it's a barely acceptable price. So this argument is completely invalid. 50$ gets you 4300 plats. I already did the rest of the math in my previous post. The basic moral of this story is to stop feeding corporate greed. It's because of people that buy this stuff simply because they have an overabundance of resources and don't know the value of money is why we can't have decent corporations that respect their customers anymore, with a few exceptions. People buying into this garbage and then performing some weird mental gymnastics to justify it make the whole gaming industry worse for everyone.
  4. Okay, my biggest gripe with this is how exactly am I supposed to feel as a player that supports you? Past 2 months I've bought platinum in the amount of 4300 three times, each on discount. Which means I've purchased 12900 platinum for 150$. Is this bundle supposed to show me that that wasn't enough? I can't just buy a cool new skin you've prepared for your 10 year anniversary with those for what reason exactly? Corporate greed? Just don't do those anymore. Prime access? Cool, even though it's a 1/10 idea, sure, we got used to that greedy move and looked past it. But locking another type of thing behind non-platinum time-gated fake fomo paywalls feels awful, scummy. Tell those chinese investors it's not going to be good for your PR, it's not Asia. If you want to earn a bit more just release them for a bit more platinum with a bundle-only deal with some cool side cosmetics, creating a trade with the player that feels fair and respectful, not a scam or a grift, which is very insulting for me at least as you're basicly grifting people that love you and what you do. "You want to support us, right? Cmon, pay us unreasonable amounts of money for a few cosmetics, you love our game, you like us, surely it's fine, right?" No, it isn't. I've just spent 150$ supporting your game and your message is : "You want those two cool new skins? Sorry, but you have to pay more, your previous purchase holds no value in this situation." It feels insulting. How is this supposed to encourage me to pay you more money in the future? look at this deal from a player's perspective. How is the Zenith bundle supposed to be equal in value to 7740 platinum? Previously it was 2 skins + random stuff and 600plat, now it's up to 2100. So in your mind the pack you're offering is equivalent in value to 5640 platinum (btw, nobody buys plats without discount, as plat is around 4x overpriced, don't even start with the argument that plat's real value is higher, no it is not)? How detached from your own game's economy and your players you must be to believe that. And it was even worse in the beginning! 7140plat, which is insane to think someone actually greenlit this idea. To sum it up, as a player that regularly supported you financially over the years I take this whole ordeal as an insult. I can't find any good intent in this campaign, even if I try really hard. It was pure corporate greed. And it feels really bad to someone who has supported you over the years. Please, don't do this anymore. If you release cosmetics other than prime ones, just let us buy them with platinum. That's what we bought the platinum for in the first place.
  5. Greetings, I've come back to Warframe after almost 5 years of a break. I've always thought that the Rivens were an interesting mechanic, but it's way too random. The RNG tends to be excruciating. I think you could make this more interactive and balanced if you just rework the system. I'm not sure if the folks that already invested a lot into Kuva Grinding will like it, but I think grind&RNG-gating such an interesting and promising feature as creating your own mods is healthy for the game. The grind is okay by itself, but its mix with RNG makes it just a horrible experience. Here are my thoughts on how you could rework the whole riven mechanic. It'd be a lot of work to implement, but it'd be an interactive way to upgrade your weapon, in a progressive-grind based system that's rewarding you linearly for the time you've invested into your riven: 1) Riven Imprinting - once you have an unveiled riven, you unveil the quest on it and then you can put it on any weapon of that type to imprint the riven. Imprinted riven will always be for the weapon it has been put on and had its quest done. This reduces the randomness of rivens, eliminates Riven "mafia" hoarders and lets players fiddle with rivens for weapons they actually want and love without having to deal with scalpers 2) Standardize the maximum values for each stat and quantify the resulting bonuses. For example, set a max stat boost for weapon crit damage to 100%, then if a weapon has disposition of 1.5, the dmg bonus will be 150%, or if the disposition is 0.65 the dmg will be 65%, etc. instead of 123.5% and 63.1%. If you have a specific stat on a riven, it should always be maxed out. I've been grinding tenet/kuva weapons and getting 25% out of 60% on my first kuva weapon feels so bad. I've always had bad luck but damn. Please don't make mechanics like that. This is one of the reasons I stopped playing warframe 5 years ago in the first place. Mechanics that don't respect me as a player and my time. Mechanics that make me feel bad about something that is completely outside of my control. 3) Rank up rivens by spending KUVA, not ENDO. 4) Add Riven Tiers, up to 3. You start with a 1 stat slot riven on tier 1, and new quests like when unveiling are appearing now on the riven. Progressively more difficult or grindy with each tier, finishing them lets you rank up your rivens and unlock new stat slots. They could be as easy as kill X enemies or something, doesn't necessarily have to be a skill-based quest, but those are also welcome. Unless it's a Dargyn quest.... EDIT: You can reroll the quest with Riven Slivers! Plus advancing from rank to rank can cost Kuva and/or Riven Slivers 5) With Kuva and resources like Fieldron, Detonite, Mutagen Mass, Argons etc and Riven Slivers you can craft thingies to set each slot to any stat you want. The blueprint for those could be purchased in Iron Wake. 6) Optional: Players can activate Corrupted Overdrive by infusing it with a special ingredient, that boosts your disposition for the weapon by a DE set amount per each wepon individually, but it activates negative stat slot for your Riven. The negative stat is also decided by DE per weapon, to make it an actual, real negative stat that you will feel. DE could add a few to choose from, but not "-%dmg" types, but lower range, slower projectile velocity, lower reload speed etc, to make the weapon feel different, or maybe even something more creative like changing the behaviour of projectiles. It's something completely different, but I believe it'd be so much more interactive, fair and rewarding than what we have now. The only problem is that there's a lot of folks that invested a lot into current rivens. Not sure how to handle that.
