  1. lotus just pops up and says "no." when you press! calm down satan. for real though Abbreviated Abilities is by far the worst of the modifiers.. 75% is brutal.. I feel like it could be 50% and it's still be bad, but not THAT bad..
  2. from what was said on devshorts, I'd say it's happening, at least as a toggle, which is how it should be. functionally, yes, but only with the option enabled. plus the vast majority of semi-autos have a fire rate cap that will only let you fire them so fast, so it's not gonna turn a Veldt into a Grakata or anything like that.: as someone fortunate enough to have no physical problems, I can pull the trigger multiple times on most guns before the gun is actually allowed to fire again (also, years of playing shooters tends to wear out the resistance on controller triggers and make them more sensitive, and I don't bother using the Haptic Feedback settings because I'm so used to playing without them from my PS3/4 days before we even had that, that it's normal for me.) as long as semi/burst class weapons have limits that automatics don't, they'll still remain in their lane.
  3. Kuva Stug please, just for the memes. Tenet weapon can be whatever, but I think a Tenet Convectrix would be interesting, that's not a weapon that gets a lot of love but has a lot of potential with better stats. anything but holokeys (I don't bother with twitch so i gotta farm those things myself). it better have good stats, whatever it is... not gonna happen, on account that Liches/sisters don't have the animations for Spearguns; hence why Tenet Ferrox got given to Ergo Glast's offerings, even though it's not a melee weapon. you'd be better off hoping for either a Prisma Javlok from Baro or a Javlok Wraith, if DE ever bother adding a new event weapon. Vulkar has a wrath version, so seems unlikely. Tenet Lanka would be pretty neat though (and a popular choice for long-time Eidolon Hunters). "can we have an upgraded Opticor?" "you already got an upgraded Opticor with the Vandal" "yes, but what about second Upgraded Opticor?"
  4. I wouldn't be against it, because grinding for Cortege/Morgha kinda sucked, especially when Mausolon turned out to be free AND a straight up better weapon than either of those two.. but I doubt it: they basically just gave enemy Bonewidows the Morgha to make them a bit more different from Voidrigs (and in my experience, Rogue Bonewidows tend to just spam their 3 and use their Swords rather than shoot most of the time.) the bonewidow changes I want are for OURS, the power gap between her and Voidrig is still so wide you could park the Zariman in it!
  5. I run Energize and Steadfast on mine. Energize kicks in every so often to fill her energy, and while it's not guaranteed, Steadfast gives you a chance to be able to cast her 4 multiple times if needs be. I'm not running Zenurik these days so it really helps to keep her casting.
  6. I wouldn't say she's forgotten, but I would say the honeymoon period is over; she's not the newest frame, and once 2-3 more frames are released, the only people really left playing her are the genuine fans of that frame, it also doesn't help that she isn't the most accessible of frames, requiring a specific dojo room for the parts and frequent farming of a mode with zero variation to get the specific resource needed to build her. I still like her, one of my favourite casters, but as others have said, she doesn't necessarily do anything other frames can't do. she's one of many in the warframe roster, not much more, but at least she has a strong kit, which is more than can be said for some other frames like Caliban/Nyx.
  7. Quick guide to Sevagoth: quick guide to Nekros: quick guide to Octavia: quick guide to Styanax whatever one interests you I guess! I don't know how long you've been playing or what your preferred playstyle is, so I'd say just go for what you feel like, every frame is capable of doing like 99% of content anyway, it all just comes down to how you build them with mods etc. you mentioned you Like Volt though, maybe give Gyre a look? she is another electric-themed frame with a very different set of abilities, but I really like her, you might too! we have several! if you want a straight up cannon like ripped off a pirate ship, the Zarr is pretty good: ammo is limited but it's very effective. the Ogris is a more traditional rocket launcher, again, limited ammo but very effective. the Acceltra is an assault rifle that fires micro-missiles, so not hittign as hard per shot, but lots of tiny rockets at once look awesome as hell. still limited ammo compared to other assault rifles, but not nearly as much as the other options. we also have secondary rocket launchers, the Angstrum and the Kulstar (which has cluster munitions). if you want to complete the rocket theme, you can also add the Jat Kittag hammer as your melee weapon: it's a jet-powered hammer, and every bit as fun as it sounds IMO!
  8. nope, this is far too reasonable and logical, get out of here with this crap, RABBLERABBLERABBLE /s personally I don't mind the randomized loadouts, since I've invested in a lot fof gear. I do think some of the modifiers *could* be tweaked a little though, or maybe throw in just one small positive modifier so it doesn't feel like you're being thrown to the wolves if your rolls are all bad lol.
  9. shared reactant would be nice; it's already a thing for Void Storms (railjack missions), so there's really no reason it shouldn't be added into the main Fissures. I highly doubt we'd ever get a free way to open relics, but being able to trade them in to a kiosk for Void Traces/Ducats... now THAT would be nice!
  10. I've been anticipating *something* to happen since the Deadlock Protocol with regards to a "corpus Civil War, as Parvos and Nef's factions would vie for control, and all other Corpus would be forced to choose a side (even if it's only the side they think they'll profit from the most). Alad would have the luxury of being able to choose who to side with, if anyone, or to play both sides against the middle. but since you mention it, Parvos would likely approve of Alad, since he is always hungry for new ventures, doesn't let sentiment get in his way and has a lot of money behind him already. he could be very useful to Parvos, and having the founder to back him up would allow Alad to make some moves of his own. either way, the Corpus have a lot of interesting characters and storylines goign on, I only wish I could say the same about the Grineer..
  11. banshee I disagree with: she can still be pretty damn powerful, I've taken her to Netracells and she's kicked a LOT of ass with a Resonance build. enemy level don't mena S#&$ when you make them practically glow with weak spots. Caliban definitely needs some love, he's usable but doens't really excel at anything at all.. he's a jack of all trades without actually being good at any of them. Trinity, i think is a wider issue, that being the answer to the question "what place is there, if any, for a specialized support frame in Warframe 2024?". I think this should be pondered at length first, before making any tweaks to trinity's kit, as her pure-support nature is what defines her, and changing that is a very drastic course of action to take IMO. I doubt people want to see her become yet another frame with 1 DPS, 1CC and 1 Support ability, or similar, even if a more versatile kit makes her stronger. personally I'd like Valkyr to get seen next, a tanky buffer frame has no place being mediocre, and it might tempt DE to start looking at the wider problems with Exalted weapons..
  12. I dunno, I'd say Genshin's are far more straightforward: Anemo = Air/Oxygen Geo = earth/inert solid Electro = Electricity/lightning Dendro = pure life energy/vitality: Hydro = water Pyro = Heat/Fire Cryo = Ice/cold. warframe's elements are bit more unusual, since how does adding cold to toxin make viral? typically freezing viruses would either kill them or put them into an inert state, right? I doubt DE is ever gonna actually reveal such intricacies of how elements work in warframe, it's just gonna be one of those thigns that separates us from the academic types such as Loid and Albrecht Entrati.
  13. well, that's probably because they weren't. the Derelict used to be it's own region of the map on the far right side, but when Heart of Deimos came out DE decided to make those missions the nodes for Deimos instead (probably to save time/they didn't have any plans for Deimos' own Tileset other than Cambion Drift). also Deimos was pretty much an Orokin and Entrati Stronghold until the very end, so it sort of makes sense that there's an old orokin fleet in orbit. this. who's to say that the labs didn't look totally different in both aesthetics and scale before the Murmur broke in? and I'd honestly have been disappointed if wally of all people couldn't have a crazy mind-blowing tileset that doesn't conform to known laws of physics. wally DGAF about your physics!
  14. to get what people are asking for, especially a non-humanoid frame, it's more work than DE are willing to put up with in terms of animations. how would a quadruped frame even hold a gun? or melee attack? best we're getting is frames like Voruna where they can program one of their abilities to have a unique stance/animation, but only for that ability. I also don't get why people want to mimic enemies, when functionally all that does is make you invisible to other enemies.. which we can already do... and the one playable grineer we have is also one of the least liked parts about the game lol.
  15. what, you DON'T like having to go 1000m between objectives in the labs? it can be annoying, sure, but at least we're in a game that has incredibly fast movement speed. imagine if we could only move as fast as Kahl and have zero parkour.. eh, I dunno about late joining, but I do think that those who join after the start of a fissure should get a few reactants, it's not exactly fair to be punished for joinign a mission in progress and being unable to open your relic on that first rotation. also, I disagree about everyone wanting Rot C, that's only for specific rewards, and when it comes to Fissures especially, you're hard pressed to find randoms who will go longer than 5 mins/waves, you need a premade to guarantee that. Forma is a contentious point due to its monetization; I wouldn't expect any leeway from DE on this front at all. at best, they'd also monetize universal formas. I get wanting that, but I'm not sure direct stat increases would be the way to go about it. personally I'd prefer more unique cosmetics like the True Master Sumdali: it's a way of being able to show rank without it negatively affecting anybody (unless they're super petty about it). doesn't really apply to me on console, but more options wouldn't be a bad thing, and some of the potatoes out there need all the help they can get lol. I suppose the only deciding factor is how quickly/cheaply this could be implemented in terms of time/expense, if at all. this is something I'm hoping they'd retoractively add, since they did it with Zariman and Syndicate pickups. would make Cetus Wisps an easier farm for new players as well.. I dunno if I agree with this, one one hand I get wanting the benefits, but also "hallway heroes" are still an issue sometimes and affinity range is one of only a few factors that can reign them in.. picture this: there are plenty people who still don't know how Netracell kill zones work, or that if players group together, the spawns group together as well, makign it easier to get reactant in fissure missions... and you want to give them MORE reason to run off on their own (not having to stick around to ensure they get affinity/focus)? yeah, no thanks. this would work better on some weapons than others, especially ones where the incarnon is a totally different fire mode from the standard mode. also, while I get it might be frustrating to lose your entire incarnon charge to a wrong button press, that's just a case of "you goofed, accept it". headshots are easy enough to come by anyway, so I don't see this as a big issue.
  16. it may also have to do with investment. some people are hesitant to put forma into a the basic frame, knowing they'll get primed later on. as for the topic: - I love Protea's kit, not too keen on her Prime appearance, but I have her Deluxe Skin so will probably just run that. - Velox Prime will be nice, high RoF machine pistols are always fun, especially if the prime has a much bigger magazine. - Okina Prime is an interesting second weapon choice I didn't originally expect to see until maybe Kullervo Prime, while I like the weapon itself, I know I'm not gonna like the farm (needing two handles and two blades, both of which will likely be uncommon/rare parts).
  17. the only thing Rhino needs is a better passive. the rest of his kit is perfect. dude's an immortal buffer with good CC I've always wanted him to have actual momentum: as you keep running he gets faster and becomes able to just bowl people out of the way, just by running into them. he can't run as fast as volt or Gauss, but should be able to ragdoll people like Grendel's meatball form. bonus damage if you do it with iron skin on, and maybe it could synergize with Rhino charge: - activating Rhino Charge and then moving immediately takes you to full sprint, skipping the gradual speed-up mechanic. - performing Rhino Charge while sprinting makes the charge do more damage. - anything breakable with melee should break when rhino runs into it. I want to be the kool aid guy. I want to sprint into a bunch of containers and hear car crash noises. essentially, the only thing he's missing is WEIGHT: he's described as the heaviest warframe and I want to feel like I can throw that weight around and it mean something with him.
  18. I guess it's what we're used to. I've never touched a gaming PC in my life. I know M+K is faster, and probably better in every way once you're practiced with it, but my smol console pleb brain is too smooth to understand. also Xbox controllers are insanely huge and having an offset stick will never not bother me. - sincerely, a lifetime PS user.
  19. a few slapdash ideas: Laser Gyre - Razor Gyre augment: Caliban's Razor Gyre now emits lasers in all directions, gradually increasing in damage output to a set maximum. (yes, now YOU can be the Disco of Death!) Prolonged Wrath - Sentient Wrath Augment: enemeis lifted by the ability will remain there for an additional 5 secos on top of standard power duration. (for a more CC-oriented Caliban build) Chromatic Wrath - Sentient Wrath Augment: when cast, any status effects that Caliban's passive has adapted towards are cleansed from him and reflected back onto affected enemies (Uno reverse card for Status!) Titanic Progeny - Lethal Progeny Augment: ability now only summons a single large Symbilist that acts as a bodyguard, remaining close to Caliban and shielding him from harm while attacking with its laser. Everlasting Progeny -Lethal Progeny Augment: increases Conculyst's damage based on a set % of Caliban's Melee weapon damage, and each Conculyst kill adds 5 secs to the ability duration. Volatile Progeny -Lethal Progeny Augment: the ability now summons 3 explosive Vomvalysts which seek out enemies and detonate in proximity to enemies, dealing high elemental damage. Fusion Repeater - Fusion Strike Augment: Caliban can cast the ability while moving, but it drains energy over time. honestly, I really want Caliban to get some decent augments at some point, if he's not getting a rework any time soon (maybe before his Prime hopefully?)
  20. old frame reworks all the way. look, maybe people don't really want to admit it, but DE are scraping around for ideas these days. our newest frame and the next frame don't even have warframe-sounding names: "Dante" and "Jade"? do these names make you excited? they don't excite me at all. and while there have been some exceptions like Kullervo and Styanax, a lot of frames have all been given kits that are not really specialized, instead having one CC power , one DPS power one survivability/DR skill and then something thematic for the last one. I'll be honest, a lot of the frames released in the last couple of years have been rather samey IMO. I get far more excited for reworks than new frames because it makes you wonder exactly HOW they're gonna be tweaked, and to what level? are they changing the power or just buffing it? how will they compare to the previous version of the frame? will they synergize with other frames well or not? it's far more interesting than "oh, another frame", which for the most part I'm probably gonna use as MR fodder and not really care about until they get either a decent skin or an augment that seems interesting. we've covered basically every possible theme with our current roster already, and the age of some of the oldest frames is really starting to show. the more frames we get, the harder it is for the forgotten ones to keep up. even new-ish frames like Caliban are pretty much forgotten about, to say nothing of the likes of Trinity and Nyx. there are also so many frames now, primes included, it would take YEARS of playing, non-stop, for a new player to get them all, so it's not like the game will be all that starved for content either. if it were my game, I'd hold off on developing new frames for a year or two and spend that time on reworking the ones we currently have. I know people will say "but how you gonna make money with no new frames?" there are still plenty ways: priming existing frames, cosmetics, new game modes.. these thigns can still continue, and there would be more time to develop these thigns because that time isn't being spent on making sure the newest frame isn't garbage or OP upon release (and then sometimes failing in that regard anyway). I think DE are *slowly* starting to learn the value of reworks though, perhaps if they can try to consistently rework one or two old frames with each new release, we might finally reach a point where every frame truly feels viable. I'm sure plenty of people will now proceed to disagree with my point of view, but from where I'm sitting, the writing has been on the wall for quite some time, and the problem of older frames being totally forgotten is only goign to get worse, not better, unless something is actively done about it.
  21. it is hard.. especially with randoms, but the trick is... PICK. UP. THE. DAMN. GLYPHS. there's a modifier that makes the defense objective take damage over time (on top of any damage enemies deal to it), which can only be halted by picking up the glyphs. even when you pick up 50 to reinforce, after a couple seconds it will start losing health again. you HAVE to grab the glyphs the MOMENT they appear, I cannot stress this enough. one person should be focusing on it almost exclusively, watching the minimap and beelining for any glyph icons that pop up. you can also summon your Necramech in the defense, so you can just get someone to wipe out the enemies with Voidrig's 4 , and also make quicker work of the rogue Necramech Eximus: make sure you kill that too as you really don't want the rotations to last more than 90 secs if you can help it, because that's more time spent without glyphs, which means more damage to the objective and more chance of failing. it's rough as hell but it's totally doable, a premade or at least some communicating to get one glyph-runner and one mech user is pretty much essential.
  22. the eternal truths of warframe aesthetics: - fashionframe is endgame - metallic accents will always be coloured gold at some point. - Liger's deluxe skins will always look hella weird in one way or another. - genderbent frames won't happen.
  23. I think it's definitely gonna happen, i just hope they make some improvements to the system, rather than just reskinning Kuva Liches/Sisters of Parvos (but that's probably what we'll get).
  24. out of those I'd have taken Citrine, Zarr and Atterax. the melee options aren't great but Kuva Zarr and Tenet Detron are to tier if you have them. I'll admit the -75% power duration of Abbreviated abilities was definitely brutal, but Citrine requires upkeep anyway and I'd have powerful weapons to fall back on. the defense was brutal, I will admit. the trick is to make sure that somebody is picking up the floating glyphs as it temporarily stops the health decay on the objective. you can also use Necramechs in the defense mission which makes clearing mobs and defeating the rogue eximus necramech a lot easier. I assure you, it IS possible to do it with the recommended gear.. but it can be difficult. if it's too difficult, there's no shame in taking a step back: the vosfor rewards aren't exactly valuable either, and there will always be more shards in future.
  25. yeah, DE want the game to *technically* run on anything, but the fact is that over time, older consoles are just gonna struggle more and more and eventually there's got to be a point where they drop support for the last-gen. console and PC gamers alike all have to move with the times at some point, just gotta hope you can afford an upgrade when the time comes, or start saving up for one.
