Aren't Dojo Duel rooms already a thing?...

    Edit: yep, they are.

Yeah there are Dueling rooms but they are shadowed by everything else, due to not "winning" anything besides just having a fun time with friends. With no profit, there is no playerbase. That's what he meant making duels a part of warframe. Add more stuff and allowing it to gain more popularity.

I find myself incredibly apathetic to the thought...  Dojo dueling is pretty much set up in a way for you to use your maxed out weapons on each other for three rounds.  While it's all right to introduce that to a Clan which is where you can learn how to better build your weapons and warframes.  PUG'ing it will end up with a lot of hard feelings coming out of it.

Better to keep Conclave where it is and allow for a level playing field rather than Dojo and creating a whole lot of needless butthurt.

Yeah, that's the point, u have maxed out weapons, so u don't know when the opponent might get lucky on a crit, the option of using slide instead of hacking the opponent passively spamming combos. That's dojo duels, somewhere where melee can be used to it's full potential, instead of looking like ai where the one with the stronger combo wins. U should really give it a shot (without trying to make it boring by force), max ur frame and weapon and give it a shot with a friend, u may come to change ur opinion.

How would you even know if someone has a riven equipped? Sounds like BS to me.

xD we have been dueling for sometime now, and it's easy for us to notice when a melee is performing better than it should. It's just pretty easy in general to know if ppl have melee rivens or not. U in for the tournament doe?

Unfortunately, each duel gets sucked out into a separate "instance" whenever they start the duel. I don't know if they fixed this in U 21.1.0 but it's very annoying and prevents onlookers and bystanders from watching, will makes it really boring.

However, the new "friendly fire" mode in the Simulacrum (added in u 21.1.0) makes for some really cool, fairly bug-free PvP experiences that can experienced by an entire squad. It's an awesome addition and I think this should be explored as new way for players to interact, demonstrate weapon builds, troll each other, etc. I like the way dojo duels were before but ever since Chains of Harrow it's been completely screwed up, tbh.

Not rly, we can still invite u from the duel "instance", it's pretty much the same now, w8 no it's much better for different stuff. Anyway like i said don't worry about watching the fights, we will take care of anything, just tell me whether u wanna join or not (if yes give me ur discord)

Hi. Im not really a social player and I keep seeing this discord thing all over the forums? Im guessing its some sort of chat server but i might be wrong. Id like to join PvP duels though. What is this discord thing really?

Im really sorry im kinda dumb, but any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Well discord is kind of like skype, just a chat, with calls and all, and we kind of need to have ppl in there so we don't forget who we have xD. See if u can create a discord acc , it's pretty ez.

  6. TDG is hosting a Dojo Dueling tournament, with the following rules:
    - Melee Only

    - Riven mods are not allowed if u bring a riven we will know, u can't hide it and you'll be disqualified .

    - Maiming,Auto parry and Reflection (Reflex guard,Parry,Reflection) mods are not allowed .

    - No companions or sentinels allowed .

    - Viral damage is NOT allowed since it bugs the game so using it also gets you disqualified .

This pretty much sums up all the rules u need to know about dueling, please don't be toxic and try to have fun we're hosting these tournaments to get people into duels and enjoy some pvp in warframe :)thank you for reading our rules and best of luck inside the ring !

Reply with ur discord name and u will be a member of the tournament. The tournament starts in 1 week, if we can get at least 5 ppl till then , the tournament will take place.

  7. Hmm, where do i start this, oh DuelMasters is 1 of the very few if not the only clan that focuses on Dojo Duels (Melee Only). We have majority of the research done, but the reason anyone who likes duels, be it a pro or a newcomer who doesn't fully understand it, should join us is.... the current 2nd Strongest Dueler On PC is part of our clan and he'd be glad to teach anyone how duels work or how to get better. As the previous thread mentioned, it's not a requirement to be a dueler, we also have discord (again not a requirement).

It doesn't matter whether you'r a pro looking for a challenge or a newcomer looking for knowledge and training in Melee Only Duels or on Warframe itself, DuelMasters is the right clan for you.

That's not how duels work. You don't bring a nuke to a boxing match just because you have one. You gotta at least try to make it worth some effort instead of meandering yourself through the game like pve. Bring a bow, maybe a sniper, or simply have a melee game like the rest of us, or hell even try to use non concealed explosives throwing weapons and be ninja like. You don't have to play like you must do "EVERYTHING IN MY POWER TO WIN AT ALL COSTS BECAUSE THE WORLD IS AT STAKE". Just play the game

That was a fun example, 10/10 for that xD. The main thing is, it is really hard to beat melee weapons man, last time someone brought ignis to fight 1 of the members of TDG he was cut down before he could start firing or deal any significant dmg.

Why? Furax has short range but nice slam attacks, its slow so you have to actually land hits to make a difference and it isn't OP so the match isn't over in 2 seconds.  It would require great skill on both sides to make a good duel between furax wielders.

That said, yes, I was trolling.

Furax was not the problem man, the problem is "furax" is not a melee build.

I really like using the ack and brunt or cerata.

I tend to hold block and wait for an opening, the moment they attack you side roll then hit with that opening combo that reaches far enough. Alternatively, both have a pretty good aerial attack, so if a stalemate happens, you can just startle your enemy with a quick bulletjump+aerial melee combo

    Hmm...radiation?

  11. Hey guys, i have been dueling for a while now so i was wondering, which is the best build for melee only Dojo Duels where maiming and reflection are banned, rn the best build i know is Crit (u all know the basic crit build) and Gas dmg, i'd like to hear your ideas on the best build for this.

    Dojo duels 101.

    1.Grab AOE weapon

    2.Fire AOE weapon

    4. Grofit

They need the same stats and restrictions as Conclave and they need MUCH larger dueling rooms and a ton of different versions.

It's a Melee Only no abilities duel, it's not hard to make duels fair.

Not every duel does what?  The only thing I can think is that you're referring to my third bullet point.  If that's the case, then OK, but it's not been my experience with PvP in this game.

Sry i meant not every dueler does that, some can be rly helpful (2nd point)

Have you not read enough from everyone to form your own list? It's really not that hard.

Regardless, Dojo Duels aren't balanced, sorry. Not normally, anyways, as I've stated time and time again.

You can play with your group of friends in a heavily edited version of the base Dojo Duel, wherein you apply a ridiculous amount of rules to make things fair. That doesn't make the system fair, that makes your edited version of it fair.

Well u CAN do it, no effort not anything, the same as u can do a lot pve more fun.

All I have witnessed is one person instagibbing the other.

It really is just a race to see who can successfully land their gimmick first.

Not everything that looks simple really is, sometimes the most simple things can be quite damn fun and competitive.

    My issues are as follows:

    • I find it boring - it's not my cup of tea
    • I have an issue with how duelers sneer at others for not having enough skill and other insults when someone expresses the opinion of the bullet above
    • (Previously unexpressed) latency in host connections can cause issues that favor certain participants over others

Like I said before, if you like dueling, have fun with it.  I don't.  Just don't look down on others and sneer at them because they don't like what you like.

Not every duel does that though.
