  1. I hope by the time the next Codex Art Contest arrives I'll become more used to digital art. This was my first time participating in a contest like this and also my first time actually finishing art on the computer so of course I wasn't able to get in the top 20 or in the honourable mentions but that just makes me look forward more for the next time :D

  2. My FIRST digital artwork ever finished. I don't think it's really that good, but I gotta start somewhere, I guess. There's absolutely zero chance of me winning but I'm glad I'm finally able to actually participate.

The reason I chose to draw/paint Equinox is because I feel like Equinox and her two forms perfectly symbolize the synergy between offensive and defensive/supportive abilities. The contrast of night and day also fits the theme very well (and also because she's easy to draw).

More like Ether reaper. The Anku is the only half decent scythe of the bunch, not the opposite.

The Reaper Prime is stronger than the Anku in every way, and the Hate has 2.5x crit damage. The Ether Reaper is, yes worse than the Anku. However, Rakta Ether Reaper doesn't sound any better than Rakta Dark Dagger, unless you shorten it to Rakta Reaper which would actually be pretty awesome.

I agree but keep in mind that theres a syndicate mod for the Hek and theres the Vaykor Hek...

Yeah. The Vaykor Hek was unexpected and I thought it would've been Vaykor Grinlok, but it fit Steel Meridian's weapon theme at the time, being the weapons of the Grustrag Three (for some reason).

So when the syndicate weapons were revealed, I was mostly quite happy overall, but there was one thing that kinda irked me a little. The Rakta Dark Dagger just doesn't really fit. I like daggers, and a Rakta Dagger would be cool, but there's something else that would make much more sense to be the Rakta melee.

    Rakta Anku

    - Scythes fit the theme of death and destruction more.

    - Anku has been overshadowed by the other scythes since the scythe buff.

    - Anku is in the same family as the Ballistica.

    - Rakta Anku sounds better, especially since Anku is named after Ankou, the personification of death in Breton mythology, and I'm sure Red Veil would love that.

    - Syndicate effects on a scythe would be amazing.

    Rakta Dark Dagger

    - Name's a bit too long for a syndicate weapon.

    - Dark Dagger already has a syndicate mod.

    - If they wanted a dagger the Karyst would've fit much more, with it being an assassin's weapon and not having a syndicate mod yet.

I mean, I like the Dark Dagger, but I don't think it really should become a syndicate melee. It just feels kinda redundant to me.

Here's my entry. Im coming back to the game after a 2 year hiatus and everythings so shiny and new. Decided to go with a rhino stomp + peacemaker, and a slow mo loki flying through the air for maximum John Woo-ness

but yea, Warframes are really fun to paint. Can totally see painting more of these guys in my down time :D

Oh my goodness that is amazing. I wanna try making something for this contest but I know there's no way I can top anything like this. Great job!

  7. So after the rather long download, the update is a lot better than what I've heard from people. The changes are nice, the new star chart is interesting and the market is well organized, with the exception of the plat and crafting menus that may be confusing for new players. The buffs to the Twin Basolk and the Dark Split-Sword are much appreciated.

  8. Lots of new additions and revisions in this update! Very nice.

Although I must wonder... WHY in the world, would you lower VOLT PRIME'S MOBILITY!!?? I know it's just for Conclave, but the Warframe of lightning and speed shouldn't be slower than other warframes :/

Do controllers have room for that button? I would probably not bind that button at all if I had limited options. Everyone has the context button.

Ah, I forgot about controllers. Nevermind what I said then :P

As long as opting out of speed isn't by rolling.

Rolling is a speed increasing maneuver which synergizes with speed, and should not cancel speed.

Maybe speed, Banish and other similar buffs could be canceled by holding the context/use key (default x) for 3 seconds.

Such as, "Hold Context to cancel most recently applied buff"

Another option is to use the switch shoulder button. Nobody uses the switch shoulder button while using speed.

  11. So now with the release of these new mods that deal aoe damage after killing an enemy that scales based on health, Combustion Beam feels quite outdated. Here's my idea of what it can be like now.

Killing an enemy causes them to explode, dealing +600 damage (+35% Enemy Max Health) Blast damage with 25% chance to deal knockdown in a +15 meter radius.

The percentages and numbers can of course change, but this is just an idea.
