  1. This has been happening to me, on 3 different machines with different configurations with all caches optimized and verified, on all three the game has been periodically freezing for anywhere from 5 to 15 seconds at random times.

The test was on following machines:

Intel G640 with GTX 750, 16GB DDR3 1864 MHz RAM installed on WD 7200 RPM 2 TB HDD,

    Core i7 3770k with RX 570, 16GB DDR4 2933 MHz RAM installed on Toshiba 480GB SSD,

    Core i5 12600kf with GTX 2080ti, 32GB DDR5 5000 MHz RAM, installed on SanDisk 512GB NVMe SSD.

On all machines every driver and firmware were up to date, and the game has been freezing on all of them. Something wrong with the game.

Only 1 stream has happened so far, the first stream had an issue and didn't start until 30 minutes after the initial time but the streamer pinned a notice so if you just started the stream right at 2pm and turned it off at 2:30 you will not get anything

Edit: 2nd stream starting now from the time of this post

I caught the late 30 min after the notice and STILL didn't get anything. The other stream was going without drops for a while, then they started.

Also I live on GMT+4  24:00 time and get really confused by ET and am/pm time, the streamers schedule on twitch didn't show the warframe streams at all for me.

Edit: got the drop and.... It gives me "Error Occurred: Drop was not claimed."

  3. Before the 33.6 update the game ran fine at 60-70 fps for me on my workplace PC. After the update I get massive stuttering (hitching/skipping) every half of a second that make the game almost completel unplayable. I noticed that it does not look so bad while the character is stationary, at least I can aim and shoot, but as soon as I start moving the game starts stuttering like mad, it feels like I'm playing at ~7-10 fps despite FPS counter saying it's 55-60.

Lowering and disabling all settings or switching engines to classic and back did not help, the FPS counter goes up to 70-80, but the insane stuttering remains, in fact I think the stuttering was even worse on classic engne.

Last update made the game almost unplayable for me.

Hey OrkydBlack! Are you currently playing the Duviri Paradox quest?

Just to spell out the rest of Saske's post, it should unlock again after finishing the Duviri quest.

Finished the quest and the doors are still locked for me

This was done a long time ago (Circa 2014 I think), I remember the dev post complete with RNG distribution images showing "streakyness" is their prior implementation. IIRC they switched to a standard pseudo-random number generator that was proved to have an even distribution. I tried to look for it but I don't think it was DE_steve who posted it

That said humans are terrible at assessing randomness and will see patterns in almost anything, and truly random distributions can be very very streaky when repeated enough, especially for the short duration events (continue to roll until X happens)

The random number geneerator is one thing. It may have even distribution, and be fine. But the way reward algorithm uses said generated number has a significant bearing on the in-game outcome.

The distribution of Nyx drops I have shows that the distribution is very uneven since I have about 50% more Nyx Neuroptics than I have Chassis, and I have quite a lot of them due to not selling them for ages. They do have equal drop chance, and with amount I have, they should be statistically within 5-10% difference wiith "proved to have an even distribution", had the algorithm been built to have number ranges associated with each position drop chance, rather than rolling positions in sequence (proper distribution)

In practice the distribution is very clearly uneven, in official drop tables that supposedly taken directly from files, Nyx Neuroptics are entered into the DB before Chassis, and I have 50% more of Neuroptics, despite them having same drop chance.

Exact same situation can be seen with Oberon Neuroptics and Systems that too drop from same source, have same drop chance, yet I have twice as many Neuroptics (101) than Systems (49),  despite them dropping from same source and having same drop chance.  And lo and behold, Neuroptics are entered into database before Systems.

The bias towards the earlier database entires is fairly clear to me, and that's why I called for re-examination of the algorithm that presides over the RNG, as it is very apparent that it does not use proper distribution, and some simpler algorithm is used instead, more biased towards earlier entries.

  6. For a long time I have suspected that something isn't right with Warframe's RNG, as it seems to prefer certain items over the others when they supposedly have equal chances of appearing. So something is weird with the algorithm that choses the rewards. It may have RNG and drop precentages written into it, but the way it is structured may present different drops in reality. My observations over 3500+ hours of play time suggest that items positioned earlier on the drop table have better chances of being chosen than the ones lower in position, even if they have similar chances assigned to them. My guess is that algorithm rolls the dice for each position on the table sequentially, and stops when it hits a "drop this" condition. This would skew the numbers in the way similar to what I observed.

This is all speculation, but I'd really like the devteam to take a thorough look at their RNG system, and maybe implement a "mercy" system for drops that have not appeared for too long.

  7. To add to all of the above, many "shine" effects seem to be completely broken: In Granum Void before the pyramid time bonuses were glowing brightly. Now they are so dim they are almost invisible while you move until you get to about 3-4 m near them which makes them impossible to spot from distance.JGbtllj.png

Anotherr thing: on my machine, exiting one of the Orb Valis indoors installations resulted in blinding white image without ability to see anything, and the solution to that was to disable adaptive exposure and HDR, since that no longer an option, I am unlikely to be able to play Orb Valis again since I quite literally can't see anything.

  8. So My clan had 3 people at the start of event, and we all did 4k runs, with one running 6k, so the end score was 14k.

Today I did a longer run to get to 20k, and got 11k score, which should have updated my clan score up to 21k.

But that did not happen - my clan highscore remained 14 k, as if my new score somehow did not count toward clan progress.
