  1. Khora proposed changes.

    With the release of khora it is very clear that a lot of the community is disappointed in her kit here are a few changes that I think will make the frame more appealing for more players.

    Whiplash

    Whiplash is very underwhelming compared to other pseudo exalted melee abilities in the game, It currently gains stat bonuses from your equipped melee mods including rivens and excludes things such as your melee combo counter, whiplash deals bonus damage on ensnared enemies.

    Maybe making it so we can multi cast whiplash so we do multiple lashes with the whip and each lash gets a multiplier for its damage just like atlases one that might make the ability more viable.

    Ensnare

    This ability allows the player to ensnare a single enemy stunning them who then will latch to other enemies close by and will then drag them in stunning them in the process.

    This ability compared to other CC abilities in the game is very underwhelming, making it so we could cast ensnare on a surface ensnaring that area, and any enemy caught in the initial ensnare would make this ability a little bit better If you take into consideration that the already ensnared enemies would be dragging enemies into the ensnared area ensnaring them too, maybe adding a damage over time effect to ensnared enemies that scales with power strength would be nice too.

    Venari

    Khora’s 3 allows her to summon Venari, recasting the ability will allow the player to swap Venari between three different modes, attack, defence and healing.

    In my opinion Venari and her attack, defence and healing mode is fine but more could be added to this ability to create more build diversity on the frame, For example an aura buff that differs depending on the mode e.g Attack mode grants a damage aura buff, defence mode gives a damage reduction buff and healing mode gives a passive healing buff kind of like rejuvenation. 

    You COULD remove the duration from Venari and make it so that she lasts until she dies OR you could do the opposite and remove the health from Venari and make her purely based of duration, Personally I would prefer the second option so I can cast, get my buffs and forget about her.

    Strangle dome

    This ability will allow the player to create a dome that will pull in and hard CC enemies who are caught in the initial cast or get close to the dome.

    Strangle dome right now in my opinion is probably Khora’s best ability however a lot of players dislike it and it’s understandable why, It is just an annoying version of vauban’s bastille that deals minimal damage once you stack it against higher level or armoured enemies.

    Instead of the ability rag dolling the enemies and making them fly about the place make them just hang from the top of the dome, this will make them an easier target to shoot and the ability won’t seem as annoying.

    Summary

    Khora is a very underwhelming casual frame the damage on her one is poor when you compare it to a frame such as atlas who’s one scales with more use, creating a similar method of scaling damage for whiplash would make this ability better.

    Ensnare right now does not really fit the flow of the game as the player is forced to target a single enemy then is stuck in an animation while casting on this one enemy, the CC effect takes a while to spread and is underwhelming compared to other CC frames or abilities in the game, making it so you could ensnare or lock down an area with this ability that will ensnare enemies as they enter would make it a little bit better, adding a damage over time effect to this ability will also make it more appealing, If we could also cast it while on the move it would make this ability feel a lot better.

    Venari on her own is okay but she dies easy versus high level enemies, making her duration based so the player can cast and forget would make this ability more appealing especially if you pair that with the purposed aura buffs being the damage, defensive and passive healing buff. Make the effects of these buffs effected by power strength and how close allies have to be to Venari to receive the buff effected by range (just like chroma)

    Strangle dome is a good ability but players find it annoying because of how enemies rag doll in the dome, because the ability in my opinion is the most appealing in the kit it almost forces me to mod for duration and range (taking a hit to my strength) increasing the base duration of this ability and adding the aura buffs to vinari would greatly improve build diversity when it comes to this frame again this is just in my opinion.

    Also making it so the dome is cast where we are aiming would make the ability less annoying to use.

    I believe the selected streamers the post is talking about is people who were sponsored to stream the game such as KingGothalion or Summit1G who may have not known how to get the achievement when they did their streams OR it was still bugged at that point for them too. 

  4. Pretty good actually, only advice i can give is cut the length of your initial intro by like 2 seconds kind of dragged on a little bit, Keep in mind newer players recommending what elements to use versus said bosses can go a long way in terms of aiding a players DPS.

    Yes i'm stupid lol, But then you could just bring disarm loki + Vauban and maybe a frost for better safe than sorry measures CC them all and boom infinite power cells.

So DE announced in one of the past Dev streams that there would be a custom game type game mode where clan war lords would be able to create custom games for us to play in, This in my opinion is a welcome addition to the game as it offers players endless opportunities and content creators breathing room to make pretty thumbnails as agayguyplays mentioned in the previous second stream podcast he asked DE Reb for the ability to start the mission with no enemies involved to make content creation easier on the player.

    As much as this is a really good addition to the game their is room for exploitation if the rewards system is not handled appropriately for example if the regular drop table for excavation was brought into these custom games all the warlord would have to do is turn up the level of the mission to that of hirachons, remove all enemies from the mission for an extremely easy endo farm which would be a huge problem for the games progression and create a loot cave or viver (refering to a place players go to frequently for most efficient XP/Resource farm) basically another draco lol. 

    For this to be a good addition I think that these missions should give the player the ability to scale up the difficulty much like The divisions underground missions where you can choose how difficulty ranging from normal - hard - challenging - heroic and depending on what level of difficulty you play on determines the gear score of the loot you get at the end, if a reward was implemented in that benefited clans be it something such as the ability to speed up clan research or down scale the amount of resources required for larger clans to start new research I think that would be a good addition if we are basing this entire system around clans. 

    Personally tho I think that this should be an option open to all players that should include lunaro, conclave, raids, void survival, defense etc to allow for some really cool custom missions like a manic only raid, imagine how insane that would be :P 

    Maybe i'm asking for a bit much but i'm just here to spark discussion.

    To avoid this, I recommend make the op a bit longer. Anything said in your video should be repeated in the thread, if it's important. People should be able to participate in the thread without watching the video, and they should feel like they don't have to watch the video while reading the thread. Also make sure to participate in the discussion yourself. Even then, some people will complain, but if you're respectful to them it probably won't derail the thread too badly. Hopefully this helps!

     

    As for the subject, I'm worried that we'll get less than we expect. DE tried to give us more than we asked for, and that's why it's taken so long, because they kept scrapping things. I'm worried that they'll end up saying "we can't try to do this much, people are rioting as it is. Let's just push this out with a nice quest and the new tileset, and tell them we'll release some cool new stuff a little later."

    I'll take all of this into consideration with my next post.

    Idunno man, I wanna like OP and have some fun discussions but it would help if he participated in other people's discussions sometimes and didn't act like we're all 4chan or something.
