in a game where almost every frame has some form of survivability on their own and do enough damage to clear enemies out before they're even hurt, drawing aggros pretty useless. Wukong's defy only does this because he needs to take dmg to charge it.

Drawing aggro would allow iron skin to charge up without having to use ironclad charge.

I mean don't see a point in it drawing aggro. I think just having the range and damage scale off of iron skin would make it more useful than an aggro drawer.

Anything that draws aggro is good imo. Especially for a frame like Rhino.

They are both good at different things.  Ivara is my go to for many mission types.  But I'm finding Garuda to be fun to play.

    Fun is important.

Ivara is fun... I dont care for Garuda, prefer atlas  Its preference. Each to their own.

I was given a lovely gift this holidays. I was given Ivara and all of her thing and accessories.  It also came with a ton of plat.

She looks good. And she plays just like Ivara should.

But then something happened.  I bought Garuda.  And now Ivara is sort of....nowhere for me.  Its all Garuda all the time.  She's just so....I don't know how to describe her.   Yes yes. Her claws need some love.  So very very true.

But this is the first frame where I feel like I'm playing a something thematic and powerful.

I just love her.  And if it for Ivara Id never would have even  considered her.  But I watched a video from Quite Shallow and I was like.  This could be fun.  Now just adore her.

That being said.  These claws.  I want to use them exclusively.  And I feel like they need something.  Exalted yes.  But I almost think something is lacking. Im using a slash and viral but it does not compete with my other melee.

    Otherwise. Great work.

    Ivara is better

    1. I'd just like iron skin to be innately recast able, no burst damage.

    2. Maybe change stomps augment to be percentage

    3. An increase base of energy from 100-130/150 would be nice.

    4. Maybe have his passives damage and range scale with iron skin. I know his passives a meme, like really bad, but just a little something might make it more... well anything aside from a full blown passive change.

    Maybe it could draw aggro

Rhino has damage, cc, survivability, and team support.

Vauban had cc before his rework, which is why he also got team support and damage with his rework.

Rhino has dmg? No. Hes an epic support but his abilities dont do any substantial dmg.

The Gram had a bug with the combo system that they patched. The Redeemer Prime is just the primed Redeemer and the Silva and Aegis Prime is, again, just the primed Silva and Aegis, the original weapons have exactly the same features, those are not Prime abilities.

And even then, what? Even if I missed the Zhuge, that's only 5 Prime Accesses out of 26 that have any kind of special attribute. And even those releases were not consistent; you have Valkyr, which was the first with two special weapons, then they skipped over Banshee and Oberon, Hydroid had the Ballistica, Mirage was skipped, Zephyr had the Tiberon, Limbo the Pyrana, skipped both Chroma and Mesa, and then Wukong with the Zhuge. This is not a trend, this is not a precedent. This is not a usual occurrence, heck, it's not even half of the Prime Accesses that exist since Valkyr's one started the concept.

The weapons that have those functions are unique and the Tekko is not. Heck, the Tekko Prime doesn't even get the extra Status Chance for being equipped with Atlas, like the base Tekko does, so it's functionally even less special.

Have fun with the glowing phantom blades, though, at least it gets a cool little visual, that's more than the other 45 or so other Prime weapons got.

The gram effect was intended originally.

What were the specials on the Zhuge and Ninkondi? How about the Stradavar and Tipedo? The Akjagara and Redeemer? The Rubico and the Gram?

So those were the last four before this, as in the entire last year didn’t have weapons with unique effects.

Prime weapons with effects are and were in the vast minority. I count five, maybe six if you count the Euphona (I don’t because it’s a unique weapon, not an existing one with a new ability) in the years before that. Oberon didn’t get one, Valkyr actually got two, three Primes in a row were released with a unique function on one weapon, but that’s it. Literally five total Prime Access packs have had weapons with unique features out of twenty six Primes released.

You want a unique effect, but wanting isn’t getting. It definitely isn’t need.

And any argument about precedent is not in your favour because precedent says you don’t need one either.

The gram had a special combo ability that didn't wrk properly so they had to hot fix it out, rubico was a part of the same prime access and its usually just one weapon. As far as the others u listed... Zhuge had explosive arrows, ninkondi was in that access so zhuge was the one with the special ability. Redeemer and akjagara were in the sane access and as far as special function... The Redeemer prime is a melee and a shotgun, i mean thats pretty special right?

🙂 Also silva and aegis prime have a special ability... Look it up lol

I'm not going to go back and look at every prime access to check, but assuming you're right I'd guess it's just because

     - not every individual prime weapon gets a unique perk,

     - there was only one weapon this time,

     - and you were unlucky.  😉

Hopefully the weapon is good enough without it, or will be once more melee 3.0 hits.

To be clear though, I have nothing against it getting a special prime perk...as long as it's not limited to any specific frame.

You havnt played long eh, lol

If it's merely for flare or role-play, then why is a signature buff needed in the first place? If it's for practical effect, why limit it to one frame?  If the effect is inconsequential, why go to the trouble of creating it?

Lol, honestly I'm completely biased as I actually detest the system itself.  The truth is, as long as each buff is hard-limited to one specific frame, I'm happier with it limited to weapons that (by and large) don't matter.

I'm not completely sure this isn't still in DEs plans, so you may still get your wish.

Every prime access... Everyone in a long list of prime accesses....

At least one weapon has a special ability or function. This was s the first prime access in a long time that doesn't. Even before signature weapons, this was the case.

No, not everything needs a signature ability.

Not everything no... But frame specific weapons do. Its a trend DE started, they should keep it going with Tekko and Atlas... Or stop it right here.

It doesn't need one, it literally does not need one.

The Tekko was already the currently best weapon in the Fist category and DE still primed it, just because Atlas likes to punch things.

Regardless... It should have a signature ability.

rhino has good damage better than most frames and he also has a good CC.  Vauban has a useless 1 and 2 and an under tuned 3 & 4 Rhino has a ok but usefull (with augment) 1 an good defensive 2, and an ecsalent 3 and 4

Think Rhino has good damage? Now its confirmed... Your trolling.

  14. 13 hours ago, spirit_of_76 said:

if you are a competent player you don't need more armor or damage out put.  if rhino is under tuned then Vauban definitely is I know that his kit is strong but it is lacking in comparison to other frames with similar parts in their kit hence why he needs buffs.  Rhino is very good at the moment for all non endurance content (you know the entire game) unlike a cretin french man

Non endurance content... Exactly. He needs a buff so that he can do long endurance runs more effectively. U made my point. Vauban does need a rework... I never said he doesn't. I said he's an incredibly good frame and he is... But the community as a whole prefers dmg dealers over cc frames. Which ofc is why rhino needs a buff too...

I know how he is used the issue is that he is the least effective (useful) tool in an arsenal and can take less damage than Oberon with out renewal.

If your a competent player he wont take any damage. Anyway, Rhino needs sum love... More armor and more damage output would be nice.
