  1. So as what the title says, specifically, the crosshair needs to be addressed properly while aiming down on your weapons on warframes with bulky fashions.

Take a look at this link:
    https://imgur.com/gallery/x3xIzqH

And here are seem to be links of related concerns whom have already voiced out before:

    As for suggestions:

    1. Either have an option in the settings that make your aim shoulder armor go invisible/fade while aiming (as what the other post have already suggested), so it happens regardless of what shoulder attachments players are wearing as long as this option is enabled.
    2. Or have a radius around the aiming crosshair do an x-ray assist that can also be changed in radius effect. For reference to this idea, try playing V-Rising while indoors and notice how external elements that should have been blocking the view of your character while at a distant pan does it.

  2. The stagger animation coming from the recoil of the Archgun's Charged Shot is highly undesirable and should be changed with a more acceptable recoil.

There are 2 Archguns that are suffering from the heavy recoil animation, the Velocitus and Corvas. The reason why I think it is a problem is due to how the heavy recoil waste precious milliseconds in making dodge rolls or bullet jumping, something space ninjas shouldn't be constricted mobility-wise. Secondly, it breaks the zoom aim right after a charge shot. I find it nauseating for not too long if I were to zoom then charge shot and lose the zoom from the heavy recoil everytime. And third, the appeal to its DPS. Velocitus suffers heavily from the fact that it needs a full charge shot to deal a damage a rail gun deserves but with heavy recoil right after its charge shot, would constrict a lot of movement. Using a series of uncharged shot also leaves out too low DPS. Corvas on the otherhand, its series of uncharged shots out-DPS a series of charged shots.

So in order to fix this issue, I would like to propose a different way to provide charged shot recoil without sacrificing mobility and visual consistency (the zoom). You can replace the heavy recoil stagger animation from charged shot with lowered accuracy and higher recoil per shot instead. With this, it will still provide same experience like how are they used in Archwing missions, maintain space ninja mobility, and still has a way to define itself as a heavy weapon both in DPS form, and recoil from charged shot.

When client, when operator and on pressing 5, you get teleported to umbra instead. I kept void dashing from point A to point B about 4-5 times in a row, because reflexes, and game kept teleporting me back to umbra, which is standing back on point A.

Sometimes when leaving the operator form, you might get stuck in the floor or just completely fall through the map. Easily noticeable on simulacrum.

I did notice those two problems especially as a high latency client. Definitely a bug or a result of a rather subpar scripting.

dont forget about getting knocked back into your frame from operator as soon as you jump out in high level play
i wish they'd put it back to him just going inert like the other frames when he gets rekt
not being able to use my tenno blows

I guess that's one of the sub-cases for what I said, unless you meant something

One quick point: the Arcane Trickery effect is a passive of Skiajati, the sword, not of Excalibur Umbra.

Personally all I think that needs to happen is some slight tuning to Umbra's auto pilot mode (which you noted), and some sort of buff to Radial Howl to offset the longer cast time. The rest of your complaints seem to be just artistic or FX based, which I'm not going to comment on since art is subjective.

OH! I will take note of this. Thank you!

  5. 💬PREFACE:
As there are alot of players out there with their own set of opinions, this post will slowly evolve as new opinions are built and formed from understanding others. This may also be cross referencing to other posts of different genres (e.g. a post about bugs and issues), as a lever to prove a statement.  It may not be able to cover the whole matter about Excal Umbra, but let's hope we can do so in order for this post to reach DE and acknowledge it. And do note that I have also inputted my own opinion and may be deemed as 'trash', because not everyone shares the same opinion. This post exist to provide my two shiniest cents to DE (engraved with the name of those who have influenced my opinions ofc.). So thank you all, and let us begin!

    💡THE FEEDBACK:

    ✔️The Good:

    • Interesting Umbra Polarity
    • Good stats
    • Very fashionable
    • Has a hidden passive akin to Arcane Trickery (That passive actually belongs to the Skiajati, thank you GeoffFromAccounting for clearing that up)
    • Comes with Umbral Mods.

    The Bad:

    • Subpar auto-pilot mode.
    • Unappealing Radial Howl SFX
    • Presence of 3 Umbra Polarities restricts build versatility
    • Non-Auxiliary neck scarf
    • Non-Universal Set Animations

    ⁉️The Ugly:

    • Possesses 3 "one of a kind" polarities (Think twice before removing)
    • Erratic Camera Control upon Transference In and Out (Prevalent on non-host, mid-high latency players)
    • Can cause Transference Static upon quick Transference (More susceptible to higher latency players)
    • Baro Ki' Teer is not impressed at all. (Well..)

Overall, it feels to me that Excalibur Umbra needs alot more improvements mechanical wise, and alot of justification for the others to reach to a point of agreement.

    🔎THE CASE POINTS:

    Umbra Polarities and Umbral Mods:

It strikes me that there are such things as Umbra Polarities. Even more, the fabled Umbral or Sacrificial Mods. Designed to be anti-Sentient and powered up as a set, they're seemingly one of a kind out there, at which holds a few matters at hand. One is how the Umbral/Sacrificial set mods are dependent of each other to become powerful, Two is their rather ridiculous mod drain rate of each ( 16 drain for each of those). Three is the current situation that only Excalibur Umbra and his blade, the Skiajati possess those Umbra Polarities, and Four, the fact that Umbra Polarities are currently unobtainable by any means besides the currently given. I have a feeling players would be wanting a way to apply an Umbra polarity into their other warframes because of how much potential those mods can carry over to them for min-max builds. It's something that a Nidus user would rejoice using, or someone who is curious about Inaros having an immense health pool. On my side, I think these mods and polarities serve as an introduction that in the near future, we, the players would be visiting that Sentient Outpost in the Tau System, soon. However, the question being raised by many players are: Will there be an Umbra Forma? or Will the Forma grant Umbra polarity?

    Howling all we Want:

One of the more prevalent complaints are that Radial Howl is generally slower than Radial Blind when it comes to casting animation. With 0.9 second casting animation of Excalibur/ Excal Prime  versus 1.8 second casting animation of Excalibur Umbra, this has come to a problem among many players, when reflex is needed on a high level conflict, and 1.8 seconds is just too long to cast, they would be plummeting down to the floor. That is the known complaints of the Radial Howl. However for me, my problem does not reside with its casting speed, as Radial Javelin has been a problem for me too when it comes to casting speed, but I am rather ticked at the explosion sound effect at the end of the Radial Howl. It sounds the same as Excalibur's Radial Blind. My suggestion? Can we have the Radial Howl's explosion SFX pitch toned down to achieve that deep sound like its other skills?

    Not for Baro Ki'Teer's Service:

Although I have never come to confirm this myself, however this conversation got me intrigued. In summary, it basically points that Excalibur Umbra doesn't have any special interactions with Baro Ki'Teer.  This special interaction are triggered if either you have a Primed weapon or frame equipped or having Inaros equipped. It may be interesting if there would be a special interaction between Baro Ki'Teer and Excalibur Umbra.

It's Summer. Do I really need a neck warmer?:

Excalibur Umbra's fashion-framing is very potent. Even by default itself, it almost never failed to cool in front of its audiences. Until its scarf gets in the way of 95% of the Syandanas. I wanted my Excalibur Umbra to don the Dax Syandana, but with the scarf on the way, it feels too cluttered and the clipping issue is a big aesthetic no for me. Then I remembered Nekros' Mortos Bind, and Valkyr Prime's Cordalla Prime. I wasn't the first one who have thought of this, it was thanks to these guys in bringing it up, and I have come to agree with them as well. But, can we have Excalibur Umbra's scarf as an equippable Auxiliary in the Appearance section?

Turn right in 50m. Recalculating... Turn left in 200m o.o :

It was debatable when it comes to Excalibur Umbra's sentience after Transference. Many have said that the Umbra AI is too unintelligent, prone to deaths, frequently pulling their operators back in to their frame only then to meet their final demise in the front end of a Grineer baguette. According to the Warframe Wiki: "While Transference is active, the Warframe becomes invulnerable to damage from all sources; however if the Warframe is currently using a channeled ability, it will still receive 10% damage from all sources". This is not true however for Excalibur Umbra, as even with Transference active, it still take full damage. And then again, if they are to receive a 90% damage reduction that leads to a rather very tanky Umbra frame, potentially resulting in a laidback playstyle. To my understanding, upon Transference activation, it quickly deletes your standstill frame then spawns in a specter version of your Umbra frame, but inheriting the stats of your frame, weapons, and etc. Your sentinel would also be following your Umbra frame of course, but I feel like that kind of scripting that leads to this kind of problem (This is just hypothetical for me.). But asides that, I would like a compromise of the Specter AI and the effects of Transference to warframes. It may be nice if Excalibur Umbra on auto-pilot mode were to have around 40 to 60% damage reduction for being a Transference thing and  having a specter-like AI. Unless the specter AI is going to be improved, then I fear that this is the least thing that can be done without tipping the scales too much.

    🚧EDIT LOGS:
I will continue to work on this as soon as clarity has come to my mind. I am still in need of recollecting my thoughts:

    (6/18/18): Initial posting
(6/18/18) #2: Crossed out a statement, and very tiny change to formatting...

  6. Hi! I would like to report that either it is too difficult to locate the Cephalon Fragments in the Plains of Eidolon or they do not spawn at all. I have come to know this via Codex, when viewing the Fragments >> Cephalon Tab; there are now 4 new entries at which all  are Plains of Eidolon Fragments.

To clarify: No, it is not the Thousand Year Glass Fish. It is a possible new set of Cephalon Fragments to be found in PoE.

So I went to the plains with a Khora Frame with Loot Detector and Thief's Wit, in addition to having two of my companions equip Animal Instincts (I heard they stack) in order to have a maximum range for hunting Cephalon Fragments. To my vain, I could not find them even after several attempts.

So I'm not sure if it was either intentional to have new entries, an actual bug in Cephalon Fragments not showing up, simply difficult to find it. As a lore hunter, I feel rather irritated in not being able to complete it. Hope to find some light into this case.

    THANK YOU.

EDIT (6/17/2018): Clarified, Emphasized, Corrected, Added things.

  7. To my understanding, DE are pulling Raid Trials back to optimize its spaghetti coding, and are redesigning the levels to make full of use of what has become a staple in Warframe  It's unfortunate that the lack of proper advertisement has made raid trials unpopular among newer players. However if it was not for this underrated feature, then the existence of a certain great community would have been all for naught.

I am a MR 24 player. I have only completed The Law of Retribution twice. not once for Jordas Verdict, and not once for LoR Nightmare Trial. At first, I was afraid to reach out to other players, to ask if they can guide me to the severe world of Trials. Eventually I manned up, thank you Recruitment chat tab. At my first finish, a year go with a group of total strangers, I couldn't feel ecstatic, because all I felt was confused, so I got this Sevati Sekhara badge, but I did not hold it with pride. My other tries were a fluke because I kept on disconnecting, and I felt ashamed for that (At this point, I blame my ISP) and I have not tried Trials for quite a while since. It was around this year that I huddled together with my little ghost clan to form a team of 6 to try it once again. And this time, we succeeded with a veritable amount of knowledge, sense of accomplishment, and team coordination. It was my teammate's first time receive the badge and they held it with pride. But for me, although I had it a long time ago, it only felt like that I just got it for real.

It must have been problematic for DE to be hearing alot  of feed backs like how buggy the raid trials are. And with their experience in creating the Plains of Eidolon, they surely would like to take it back, optimize, then bring it back as Trials 2.0. An example as I have heard before, DE wanted to create a level where Bullet Jumping is to be fully utilized. Probably a little bit more open space or a wider feel to give a feeling that no matter how you freely move, this is just feels hugely insane and stuff. Not to mention that being years old, it might have alot of unfavorable codes that DE may cringe at, so they had to fix it! They knew that if they are going to do this, it will cause an uproar, but DE had persist, as the Trial itself is crying for help with its run-breaking instabilities.

Warframe takes pride in being a cooperative shooter game, and yet the Trials never seem to have receive the main spotlight for being the pinnacle of team coordination. Certainly, DE wanted to do something about it and popularize it  like, "This is the apex of gameplay. Can you challenge it with your band of 8 mischievous space ninjas?" instead of quietly collecting molds by the Market, when it should have been at a more public appearance like  the Navigation tab itself, alongside Sorties, Syndicate Missions, Fissures, Alerts, Invasions, Ghoul Bounties and more! So that newer players can realize that this greatness exist too and aim to reach the summit of raiding.

But what I notice too is that for years of Raid Trials existence, it created something wonderful, the Raid Community. For something that lurks in a shadow for an extended amount of time, these are the people who truly appreciate the experience of working as a team, and teaching their fellow newer players the ropes, and bring the raids it to us. Raid School Bus is an example of it, and they have huddled together with tons of players, veterans and beginners to complete Raid Trials on a daily basis and conduct special education on the process of each stages of each Trials. This is so wonderful to hear of how Trials have created a very healthy community, at which I think has becoming an advertisement of the existence of Raid Trials itself. Kudos to the raid community.

I'm not here to debate on what should or should not have happened, as there are so many factors for me to consider . I can never say this as well on behalf of anyone, because I do not know how you people feel about this either. I'm also upset that it has to come to this, because ever since my second time, I always planned to do it at a more frequent basis with my ghost clan. But. I am grateful for this. DE wanted to give us a great experience as much as possible, but they don't want others to feel left out. They wanted everyone to be able to enjoy it. and if this current situation continue, DE won't feel happy about it. But:

Thank you for challenging us to our limits with these missions.
Thank you for creating a wonderful community.
Thank you for being frustrating at times.
Thank you for managing to get me out of my comfort zone.
Thank you for giving us such a prestige when we complete it for the first time.
Thank you for letting us being part of that experience.
And thank you for bringing us together.

I will be waiting for Trials 2.0. optimized and ready to kick my space ninja butt. That's all for me. Do your best, DE!

  8. An interesting perspective... If PRIME are to be represented as the first, therefore the original, then..:

Gersemi Valkyr Deluxe Skin may have been predated even before the Orokin Empire, just like the Excalibur Proto-Armor Skin, or Nyx Nemesis Armor.

Based on the in-game description of the Exclibur Proto-Armor Skin, it says:

Discovering the precise nature of this recently uncovered armored prototype has proved elusive. Initial attempts at dating point to ancient origins, perhaps even predating Orokin Empire.

so if the Proto armor were to exist first, then Excalibur Prime may have been inspired from the Proto-armor itself, then there goes the normal Excaliburs later on, right? We all know that the Proto Armor IS NOT a warframe, but rather an exoskeletal armor, that Hayden Tenno wears.

So let's look at Valkyr Prime. Valkyr Prime have some striking resemblance with normal experimented Valkyr, that it has lead to some people to think that it's a paradox, of how a Valkyr Prime may be actually based on the normal variant, where being PRIME is a statement of being the first. But WHAT IF:

Gersemi Valkyr also predates Orokin Empire? think of it as either the stone-aged warframe (That will create a contradiction to Excalibur's lore. Cuz Excalibur's the FIRST WARFRAME.). OR another exoskeleton armor, that just happens to be not shown in Dark Sector. So the Orokin Empire may have been inspired by this pristine-conditioned Gersemi 'armor' , and hence created their Valkyr Prime.

Then how would the normal Valkyr fare? Here's my speculation:

Corpus seem to have a vast amount knowledge about the Orokin Empire. I mean, look at Alad V, during the Second Dream Quest. He's been spouting lots of implications that he knew something, that players do not know (yet...) Probably from Orokin database, the Corpus may have obtained a schematic of the Valkyr Prime, and started on that. By capturing Warframes, and using their components, the Corpus have began experimenting, and trying to copy Valkyr Prime's design, with their Corpus Technology. Hence, creating Valkyr.

Corpus are technologically advanced, and to be able to create Zanuka, which is an enemy with Warframe components, that's quite impressive. Probably the Valkyr was one of their better experiments that went fluke, since Valkyr's a berserker-themed warframe, so ladelah, her appearance is similar to how Valkyr Prime appeared in the trailer.

Gersemi Valkyr >>> Valkyr Prime >>> Normal Valkyr

This is how would I approach it, IF we are considering Gersemi Valkyrs design to be part of the lore. Otherwise, disregard it, if it will just appear as canon, just like some other premium skins.

  9. There is an option to change equipment and loadout through the Arsenal Option at the Relay. However this presented feature is not available in Clan Dojos somewhat.

I believe that what Dreaper23 want is that for the Arsenal option to be available as in Clan Dojos, at which would love so to happen as well. :)

  10. I've made some field testing with Sarpa, since an action has been taken about the issue of it firing "blanks".

After some testing, it seems to me that the bug still exist. It can be replicated by:

Performing Automatic Rhumba combo of the Bullet Dance stance:
    [E], [down]+[E], [E], [E], [E], [E]

I have faith in Sarpa, and I hope that this current issue will be re-fixed

  11. At first it was all about the grammar, and not taking enough coffee when they decided to put up a hotfix.

    Then this guy has spoken.

The number of people not getting that reference is too damn high!

Now I cannot unhear the DE singing to this song anymore!

ANYHOW, Thank you for the hotfix! Take a coffee break!

  12. I ought to approached this challenge a bit differently, so instead of a single 'political orokin figure', I looked at it more as supporting a political party, in this case of mine, the Corpus as a faction party. I wanted to promote that the Tennos should support the whole Corpus party (not only Hek, Tyl Regor, but as well as all of them as whole). ^__^""

So this is the Corpus Council of 2016!

VOTE FOR THEM. (and me, hehe.)

And thank you, fellow Tennos. I have enjoyed creating this piece of work.
