The truth is that Warframe isn't newbies friendly, especially if they are alergic to wikipedia. I started almost 5 years ago, before many of new mechanics were introduced (even before daily login give you reward), and even then it wass complicated game. So many weapons, so many frames, so many mods... Best advice? Stick to your friend, join some noob-friendly clan and don't rush. Take your time on learning new things, don't even try to learn everything at once. This is common way that leads to uninstalling this game. You like excal? Then play excal, it is pretty nice frame for new players, really.

You don't always want to have big globe. Standard one (100% range) is just enough in 99% of missions. Why? It have to protect main objective, not whole map. Exception is build with max range, where you spam snowglobe and crush enemies on walls.

Only i have problems with server connection? I download like 100 megabytes of update, then get disconnected from update server, automatic download retry, again downloading 100 megabytes, disconnection and so on...
