    News to me.

Canada is still technically an american country.  Just not a part of THE united states of america.

As for OP, DE's staff are going to be working from home in the coming weeks.  They don't plan on shutting down the game, but have mentioned that some updates might get pushed back a little bit due to everyone taking time to transition from working from their offices to their homes.

The fragment (in the live game in your codex) for that picture of Ropalolyst (one of two different Ropalolysts) does say the following:

      Hide contents

A fragment of the ancient Sentient that once terrorized these plains.

I suppose I could argue that it's an outdated teaser for an upcoming boss, but that isn't interesting.

I still believe they are more standard units than anything.  The Earth sentient was probably capable of creating them as Hunhow can create Battalyst and Conculysts and Natah her Mimics.  All the larger scale sentients seem to be able to create smaller splinter variants of themselves so its possible that there were Ropalolysts helping the Earth sentient take the Unum.

I'd like to think the codex is referring to one specific Ropalolyst rather than all of them.  Especially considering they show up in large numbers in The New War trailer.

The Codex may not classify Ropalolyst as Eidolon, but there is/was indeed a Ropalolyst variant at Cetus. We saw it during the Mask of the Revenant quest! And I wager that it was a part of the original sentient (hence another Eidolon). Here's a picture from the Fragment picture (from wiki):

Notice that the head is different than Jupiter's Ropalolyst.

Well, they were originally planned to be a new type of Eidolon, hence why the one in the pic above has some of the Unum tower's flesh attached to it's missing head similar to the bipedal variants using trees and rocks to replace missing limbs.

That being said, these original ideas were scrapped and the boss moved to Jupiter so I'm not sure how legit this evidence is anymore.  The pic above and the 3D model that appears during the Revilement quest were both added into the game way before the actual boss was added, so eh idk.

Personally I think it's more of a standard heavy unit along the lines of what the Battalyst and Conculysts are.

  4. Something kind of interesting is that the Vomvalysts on the sentient ship (which was referred to as the "Sentient Maw" on the dev's million subscriber celebration stream), is that they only appear from these strange cocoon/egg like structures.  They don't spawn like normal enemies and wont show as an enemy on our radar until they acutally exit the structure.  These Vomvalysts are also much more resilient than the ones on the plains which could just be chocked up to them appearing in higher level missions, but since there is a distinction between "Vomvalyst" and "Eidolon Vomvalyst" I like to think they are typically supposed to be much stronger than what we see on Earth.

As i see it stuff is vaulted for years, this is something really weird to me.
If its a Business Model, does that mean DE has money problems? i mean there is so much stuff you can buy in game, and Merchandise and all that.
Subscription like things such as 30day boosters and all that...
I wonder if it is really necessary to put stuff away for years...

Limited run items usually sell better than stuff that isn't.  People see that somethings back for a limited time they are more likely to buy it so they don't miss out when said item goes away.  So it kinda makes sense, even though all the vaulted stuff could probably be added to the game without actually diluting any drop tables.

  6. There is no lore tied to it.  Its simply a business thing rather than a lore thing.  For what it's worth, when a frame or weapon gets vaulted, their relics still stay in our inventory, so you could either trade for those parts or relics if you don't have any.  It's not ideal, but its not as bad as it used to be before the vault was opened for the first time.

Be thankful you lost a riven and not a sculpture, liches don't give those back, meanwhile you can deal with your lich and get the riven back.

They do give them back.  It's a visual bug that makes it look like they won't return them but if you check your inventory, you'll see everything gets returned.

  8. Since corrosive damage already strips armor permanently when it procs, I suggest that heat applies an armor reduction that only lasts as long as the proc itself.  This way, both fire and corrosive still remain unique in how they affect enemies.

While corrosive damage appears to corrode armor away, heat could weaken the armor by making it more malleable, thus allowing weapons to more easily penetrate.  And when the proc ends, the armor cools and becomes hard again, gaining back it's original resistance.

Wisp's four already strips armour. What will the benefit in fire procs be?

It only strips when she has the green mote active, and I believe it happens like every 2 seconds or something.  So the fire proc on top of that will increase the sped at which it could strip armor.  She could in theory strip armor from multiple enemies in the same time it would currently take to strip the armor from one.  It would allow us to play more fast and loose when using her 4th ability.  At least in theory.

Edit: Wisp's armor strip actually applies every .5 seconds

  10. Are you seeking him out as soon as you enter the plains?  Because there should be a large pillar of light where he spawns, but it only lasts for a few seconds.  If you don't find him and mark him right away it can make tracking him down really hard.  He's pretty small and blends in with the trees pretty easily.

  11. So a quick google image search of "Orokin Storage Locker" shows an image comparing a blue locker to the normal white one.  Looks like someone made a thread on these forms in 2016 asking about the same thing.  Nobody was able to come to any conclusions in that thread other than everyone guessing it was some type of bug.  Weird.

Here's a link to the form post I mentioned above:

  12. The Ghoul "event" is automatic.  It's return has no impact on Plague Star.  In fact last time Plague Star happened, it was at the same time as the Ghoul Purge.  It'll come back eventually, just be patient.
