  1. @BroDuttI understand what you mean by this but what I'm saying is I don't speak that language that they are typing in. Unforunately, most of us don't speak all the languages in Asia, what do you do from South East Asia if you come across a Korean or Japanese or any language that you don't speak? You see the stars ****. Maybe also because they don't speak English. What then? The servers are way too big, and there is no translation support. There is nothing in the game that helps us deal with the different languages that we may come across.
  2. Hello Devs and Community, I don't talk on the forums much but there is a major issue that has been rising over the past few years within the game. For a bit of transparency, I am in the Asia server and I speak English. North America, where DE is based - geographically has Canada and the US (both English speaking countries) - with players that can easily communicate. With the recent pushes within the last few years by DE to add for more multiplayer and teamwork based game play, I understand that the very concept of adding layers of difficulty within the game in addition to more complex mechanics lead to need for more team work. Warframe is a deep game with complexities of theory crafting and explanations within the game outside of the actual missions. Builds, formas, progression path, calculations and the list goes on. These things make warframe beautiful and unique in it's own way and the fact that these things fall to players to help players has many advantages as it promotes interactions for players. As Warframe is an international game, this same model has issues when we apply it to continents and countries that do not share a common language. Let's take for instance EU servers that have multiple countries like Spain, France, Germany, England, etc... Problem solving and explanations can go right out the window. Asia for instance, the server covers as far north as Mongolia which borders with Russia, and as a far south as New Zealand and Australia. It goes as far west as Turkey and the Middle East and as far East as Japan and Korea. The amount of countries with their own respective cultures and languages is awesome to see, but becomes a nightmare when doing simple things like trading. Missions in Duviri that require more complex team work interactions becomes frustrating to the point where it is very easy for hostility to arise. This hostility I feel, is not good for any game as can be a starting point for racism and stereotyping. I understand that Warframe no longer has an active presence in China however, how often is an AU player going to come across a Chinese player who is using VPN and as a host is going through massive packet loss which equals borderline magical things happening in the gaming experience. I hope DE that you can take this not as whining but as an issue within the game which affects the player experience in large part. As a player in Asia, I am in more squads that have stars ***** in chat which often leaves me clueless to what is happening than playing in North American servers where I would be more comfortable speaking English. Essentially the game play is there but communication is not viable - how does teamwork fit in this type of environment? On top of that, if there are issues with the chat, unfortunately happens, well we can only use waypoints to communicate which is a huge headache. I am aware that there is no quick remedy solution issue. Even in aspects outside of Warframe, maybe in business - this is challenging and for a gaming company to face these things is an incredulous task in itself. However, I am sure I am not alone in how I feel and I am sure many players outside North America, will say the same thing, that this is an issue that really affects us. As always I wish you all the best and appreciate you reading all of this. Kindly and Respectfully, Jazoom
