  1. Thanks for the solid points everyone!

As pertains to point one i just have way to much trouble activating the pause and hold combos. i never considered the people who are not using melee towards camera setup. Directionals must really mess with them. I think a two button solutions would be very superior.

On point two, i think a way to stop someone from just spamming the same single move would be to make them flow well only when not repeating the same move. Also if each move had clear uses it would make you  vary it up situationally.

  2. So I've just finished the tactical alert and have decided to crystallize my melee thoughts. These are mainly about stances and their implementation.

    1. Stance ease of use. Currently we have several methods of triggering a combo. we can pause the attack button, hold it, attack while holding block, and attack while holding various directions. Of these options pausing and the holding of the attack button seem to really not fit the flow of warframe combat. When I have options in a stance I never use the pause option on purpose. Where as it's very easy to use holding down any other input while attacking.

Basically, I would like all the hold attack, and pause attack inputs switched to holding block or a direction while attacking.

    2. Combo length rework. The other issue I found was that most of my combos were useless since the enemy was dead well before I even got to the blows that the stance would have changed.

To fix this would take a more serious rework and thus will make several devs cry :P (sorry guys). I propose that a stance provide individual moves and WE made them into combos on the fly. Lets craft an example:

    heavy sword stance:

    Strike: E

Head cleaver: Hold forward + E

Wide slash: Hold left or right + E

Pommel smash: Hold block + E

Thus in play you could approach an enemy, pommel smash them for a bit of stagger, strike them, and then head cleave them. Or any other branching out as the situation demanded it.

This could be basic as just stated or there might be more complicated maneuvers that have prerequisites, but I think that'd just clutter it up and start to slow it down and lose the speed and warframe feel again.

    Thoughts?

  3. I feel the "ammo pool" mechanic is what throws off weapon balance the most. High rof weapons are considered non-viable due to poor ammo efficiency and limited ammo pool. High damage/efficiency weapons become OP because they don't have to incorporate ammo mods into their builds, allowing for more damage mods. Multi-shot far out values fire rate, on the basis of ammo efficiency alone; multi-shot granting free bullets, and fire rate merely increasing the speed at which you run out of them.

I think ammo pools and drops should be eliminated in favor of a mechanic more akin to that of Archwing weapons, and balance downtime via reload speed or a recharge mechanic.

I wish i could vote yes on this more than once!!!

Then the ammo mutation mods would become a speed enhancement on ammo recovery!

Ammo items would grant infinite ammo in their area of effect for a time that would vary by strength...

    I can but dream...

Course some of that is because the reload time on the supra is INSANE...

  4. I think a good  would be to make Banish a small version of the current cataclysm that can have several bubbles of rift open at once.

This would allow for you to cast 2 areas of rift and if you need to attack enemies in one, you walk into the other. very easy for allies to use, and distinguish who is affected and control when to not be affected themselves.

Riftwalk seems fine with this change as it has it's own uses.

Riftsurge would need to be changed. maybe made into a teleportation power or something

Cataclysm would need to be replaced. maybe made into a proper area of affect attack. Say opens a lot of very small rift bubbles that eat enemy shots and explode if touched.

Add to that the ability to grab pickups in the rift and the frame would be awesome!

  5. My biggest problem with bleed procs and such is that they are not even between Players, and Enemies.

I've almost never killed something by bleed proc. for a player it's completely laughable damage. whereas i can be effectively killed by it since there's only one of me.

Now, that said i don't feel that the procs coming from enemies are bad. they seem fine where they are, but the one coming from players are not balanced yet.

  6. Remember their are tiers of weapons for a reason: rank restrictions

Now you could argue that not all weapons have the correct rank restriction on them, but that's different.

Also i want to chime in that i for one love these events. It gives me a reason to play, try a new weapon or two and generally have fun.

Don't think nothing new is coming out. the big things like new stuff that might pop up in a mission, or new mission types tend to be in the big patches. Say going from version 13.x to 14. And usually those DO have new interesting things added to the game.

    Just my 2 cents

  7. The fact that they can die is why I will never use mine.

I took it for one or two missions, found out about the degradation and huge cost for upkeep then promptly put it in stasis never to be used again.

This is just as bad as those other F2P games that make your weapons disappear after a certain amount of time. It kills my investment and desire to use them.

    This. So much this.

I'm a rather casual player and I'm never going to use my cute little Sasha again. Not only do you have to worry about it's attitude (which is fine by me actually) but you also have a constant degradation till it dies or you buy an item?

Sorry but i'll have to stick to my sentinels.

I really do love the kubrows, and would use mine as my primary sidekick thingy, but i just don't have the time to farm money for her.

I say the degradation should be removed. It's just not fun.

    Just my 2 cents

  8. I've been loving the hell out of this update!

Yeah there are bugs, but that's coding for you, and i for one would rather play slightly buggy, than wait forever to play.

    Also KUBROW!!!!! :)

So thanks DE! Keep up the good work, and i'll keep shoveling money at you :P

  9. It would make sense for the kubrow to not die when we do. I think that would basically be a good fix.

Besides it would be adorable for the kubrow to sit next to your corpse and howl mournfully.

After murdering all the guys who killed you of course...

  10. you can get rid of your frame completely from the shot if you use the codex scanner(or any scope) and remove the ui from it.

That is what i do for screenshots normally, but i'm talking about just normal running around and shooting things. I'm just hoping for a way to adjust the position of my warframe when fighting.

    -Edited for redundant redundancy...
