  1. So instead of doing this, just do nothing instead. Or just revert back to the regular nightwave. On your current course its a grand net nothing for nightwave at absolute best. You have put in a bunch of work changing the weeklies to end up with essentially no notable change, no benefit whatsoever, and no...sense.
  2. It should change. Telling people to stop complaining about it and just accept it isn't exactly the best way to go about realizing that change. Discussing it in the forums dedicated to the purpose of discussing things seems like a better idea to me, honestly.
  3. So Warframe is a video game, not an educational simulation of reality. The entire purpose is to have fun, and a lot of people find it fun to improve and progress in their video game. Being arbitrarily gated from doing so for no real reason is frustrating and irritating. I really can't understand why this is such a difficult concept for people to grasp.
  4. It's a new system specifically aimed at long-time players. Why in the world do you think we're not going to focus on it? It's literally the only way for us to experience any sense of progression. You not seeing an issue with it does not mean that there is no issue with it. You might be OK with being pointlessly arbitrarily gated from new content. Many of us clearly are not.
  5. They are nothing at all alike. You can farm rare mods. You can farm the rarest arcanes. You can farm just about everything else in the game except Archon shards and to a lesser extent rivens. Because they are strictly time-gated. It's not difficult to understand.
  6. Nah. I don't need to try smashing myself in the face with a hammer to be reasonably certain that I would not enjoy the experience. With the current state of Archon shards, which has been essentially unchanged for more than a year, there's not much reason to give them the benefit of the doubt. Especially when they're being so tight-lipped about the details despite having a thorough understanding of what folks think of the current state. An extra shard per week would be effectively meaningless, and we have absolutely no reason whatsoever to assume anything other than it being yet another weekly lock.
  7. They didn't provide any details, and given how we're a year and some change since the introduction of Archon shards and they're still the most time-gated content in the game, I think it's a pretty reasonable assumption that this "new way to gain shards" is also very likely to be weekly-limited.
  8. Yeah the idea of "use your extra shards to make new ones!" is HILARIOUSLY short-sighted. If someone starts Warframe today, they will have to do every archon hunt AND khal mission for like a full YEAR to be able to even consider using "extras" for this crap.
  9. This isn't true at all. What they hate is playing the boring parts of Warframe. Literally standing still for 3 minutes for no reason whatsoever is not fun, it's not interesting, it's not difficult, it's not challenging. It's tedious, pointless, boring. I'm not playing the video game to NOT play the video game. I want to do something, and I want that thing to be worthwhile.
  10. While it's not the solution to OPs case, this was the fix to my issue. There really does seem to be some issue with UPnP while host since the Dagath update. I suspect they made some under the hood changes relating to cross-play and it's having some really strange and unintended consequences on certain systems.
  11. It's almost certainly related to cross-play. I'm having similar issues. When I'm the host of a cross-play squad, my FPS constantly tanks. This ONLY happens in cross-play squads and while I'm the host of the game. After disabling cross-play, the issue vanished entirely. It's not a hardware issue either. I'm running an i7-12700k, 64 GB RAM and a 3080TI.
  12. Personally I'd rather see them take a different approach and further streamline the new player experience. One of the things that is very desperately needed is a comprehensive tutorial on the modding system. As it currently stands new players are just thrown into the mod screen after the tutorial and that's it. That said I am fully aware that DE is required to monetize the game. It's a part of running a business, for better or worse. The truth of the matter is that it wouldn't be a net negative no matter which direction they take it. Veteran players don't have to deal with it, new players that aren't interested in spending money won't, and those that are willing to spend money can jump to the shiny new thing. It would ultimately only increase the players in the game. The idea of "Integrity" is subjective and nebulous at best, and ultimately it matters far less than most people think. It's also not something that is going to be damaged by offering a way to jump-start new players to relevant content. As I said, they're required to monetize the game. It's just a fact of life. The true issue at hand is whether or not they achieve their goals with whatever solution they go with. If they're looking into selling some kind of skip or boost, I'd rather them do it in a way that would actually accomplish their stated goals, hence my suggestions.
  13. Skip the grind, not the story. My recommendation if you want to go with the pay-to-skip path: A beginner Warframe (Mag/Excal/Volt) AT LEVEL 30. ~6 BUILT Forma (And accompanying instruction/tutorial on what they are, how to use them, WHY to use them, and where to get more) A selection of not useless weapons, again AT LEVEL 30. A Railjack with a sufficient amount of Intrinsics to be able to comfortably complete the associated story Railjack missions. A Necramech, you guessed it, at level 30 with accompanying weapon. A selection of useful mods for warframes/weapons/railjack/necramechs, enough endo to level them up to reasonable levels and a tutorial on what mods are and how to level/use them. A mostly unlocked Starchart. Leave at least one node of each mission type as a sort of introduction to those missions and a gateway before Steel Path. A brief introduction to what the Steel Path is, how to access it and when players should begin to progress through it. The goal should be to kickstart players into being able to participate in relevant content. The story missions themselves don't take a significant amount of time to complete, it's all the lead-up to them that takes time. Leveling the frames, unlocking the Star Chart, various rep grinds, and most egregious the insanely long build times for all the necessary things. Frankly speaking, the Star Chart itself is in dire need of a complete redesign. The visual aesthetic of kneeling in front of a projection of the solar system is REALLY cool, but strictly speaking there's not really much of a reason we need THIRTY FOUR (34) different Defense nodes scattered across 18 different planets and moons (not counting Empyrean nodes). There are more than 260 mission nodes at this point, and more keep getting added. It's hilariously overwhelming even as a returning veteran. This is another topic though so I'll leave it at that.
  14. The one challenge I do have just happens to be one I cannot complete: Convert 10 riven slivers into a riven. I have already done this earlier in the week.
  15. Still no fix for resource boosters not applying to stuff collected in the Undercroft?
