They should just delete 2k Endo as a reward.

Nahh.. gambling with rewards is much more fun! RIGHT?! *sarcasm*

Imagine this..  if your salaries IRL were also RNG like sorties..

"Oh you worked 42 hours this week? Well you get only 50% of your pay.. because I rolled the dice!"
"Wow you worked 38 hours? The RNG of your salary says I will pay you 125% of what you should get!"

"Wait you did 10 hours overtime this week? Hah sorry the dice decided that you only get 25% of the pay (which in our case is 2K endo..)

Anyhow what I'm trying to say is.. why are sortie rewards so RNG with bad rewards? The bad rewards shouldn't be there in 1st place.. it's a REWARD for 3 missions.. not a lottery raffle entrance requirement that we complete, sigh.. Please @[DE]Rebecca, guys just think about it from our point of view for a second.

We want to feel rewarded and not punished with what we get after spending our time in high level missions, because honestly we could earn that 2K endo anywhere else and in much shorter time than what we spend in sorties along with much less effort + other valuable rewards with it.

The feeling when you get 2K endo or any of those low tier rewards is like a kick in the groin, makes you feel like you wasted your time with it than give you a feeling of being rewarded along with a euphoria of accomplishment.. and discourages you to do sorties in future.

    Just my two cents,

    ~Jester.

Are you mocking us DE? I just went and did the sortie and got 2K Endo still (and I know a ton of people that still got 2K endo earlier as well when they did it).

Where are your radically reduced chances? I even used to get 2K endo much less before TWW.. what is this madness?

    Spoiler

    LpnNVDJ.png

At this point I am not sure if I am just super 'lucky' with the RNG and should go buy a lottery ticket or should I just go cry in my shower that this is just stupid and a waste of my time to do it from now on?

Um accepting or declining a roll is 100% useless. It might be a "feel good" measure but it has no practical value. You still spent the Kuva. If the new roll is worse than the existing (the only use case that having this option is valid for), then two things will happen.

    1) You will accept the worse stats on the mod, and end up with a Riven mod you want to reroll.

    2) You will decline the roll, and end up with a Riven mod you want to reroll (because you already tried).

How does this help you? The only time this helps is if you are your "last roll" before it becomes too expensive. in every other case you are re-rolling that mod whether you accept or decline, and you are spending the kuva if you accept or decline.

There is a use for it though. Let's say you decide to take a risk and reroll a weapon with + crit + multishot - damage.. and you want to get something better~ You don't risk on losing those stats over some worse kind ones. See what I mean? It's still better than losing the stats forever into the RNG abyss.

  4. By the way @[DE]Rebecca, guys please consider changing up the system maybe? Instead of +multiplicative stats, how about make them additive? That way weapons with bad crit chance or status would benefit more from it.. for example:

Let's say weapon has 5% crit chance and people want to use it.. but it's just bad, because of that low crit chance.

If the riven mod gave +15% crit as additive to the base 5%, that would mean 20% base crit = people using that weapon again! Thus people would be able to apply their multiplicative mods on the 'new' base crit chance and get decent crit chance! :)

Instead of.. 5% crit chance weapon + 127.9% (multiplicative stat) =  11.395% no one would still use that weapon.. I hope you understood my blabbering and take this into consideration.

    Just my two cents,

    ~Jester.

Some of this Dev Workshop will be a continuation from Part 1 (https://forums.warframe.com/topic/719453-spoiler-dev-workshop-new-mods/), but the rest will cover some more clear changes coming to Riven Mods.

    Part 1 Primer: Riven Disposition.
You may recall we talked about 'Riven Disposition' on Monday. Here's the repeated information in a nutshell:

    - 'Riven Disposition' is the way in which power level of Mods is attuned to the weapon it is generated for. Mastery Rank and Stats will factor into this attunement, so you can expect to see more powerful Rivens for less used weapons and vice versa.
    - This modification will also affect existing Riven Mods to reflect our desire to give new life to ‘discarded’ weapons in a unique way, and not increase the power of the top tier ones.
    - Prepare to see a difference in stats of existing Riven Mods in an upcoming hotfix.

This is great news guys! I just hope you also will tweak it so we cant get an IPS of weapon that does not even have it.. for example I kept getting +puncture damage on my Zarr which does not even deal puncture damage~ etc.

But I'm glad to see you guys are taking this to a right direction though! Keep it up~

This is another problem I've noticed, and that's weapons being given effects they can't use because of the random generation. I've seen synapses get added slash damage, simulors be given extra impact, etc. If these are meant to make weapons that fall by the wayside get more use, then they definitely need to be tweaked to make sure they can actually GET used in the first place.

Yeah I kept getting +Puncture on my Zarr .. like 4 times n a row now.. :( It keeps ruining that perfect stat combination.

Let people keep the stats of what they have now just balance the new ones unveiled after the fix.

No, we don't need another Primed chamber situation in here again..

Please explain what do you mean by " Prepare to see a difference in stats of existing Riven Mods in an upcoming hotfix. ". Please elaborate more? if its just making 20% less damage. I can take it. But if the stat reroll into something garbage like zoom +100%, I think I will claim a complaint to DE for releasing another No Man Sky scam for this riven mod. If you really want to make this mod a prototype or subject to change, you should not make it available on market in the first place. This is just making case like me a victim.

I spend 2k Plats for my Tonkor Mod. I want to ask who is responsible for this upcoming nerf? You are just like taking back my Prime Chamber. I dont care if DE want to nerf all riven mods on the new riven mods, but let the existing riven mods remain as it is.. DE is also at fault and have to be responsible.

Donald Thrump says "muslim banned", the next day the post is deleted. You think Muslim people can forgive or forget that kind of mistake?

It's not DE's fault you paid 2000 plat for something, a price tag is clearly there.. you were impatient to get a tonkor riven yourself from RNG along wih good stats .. so you paid 2000 plat, clearly that is your own fault. DE did not come and tell you to "GO BUY THIS MOD OR YOU WILL BE A PLEB".

It's an MMO there will always be rebalancing, yes DE did execute it poorly, since it shouldn't have been a tradeable mod to begin with at least not until all the balance kinks are sorted out, but that doesn't mean they don't have a right to fix it / rebalance things still ~

All I hope is that DE has learned from this mistake and will improve the execution from now on.

    Just my 2 cents,

    ~Jester.

i didnt get my login reward today (it didnt show up at all, it was just skiped after my first login today)
i hope it didnt reset my streak, im about to reach 150 days streak in few days

    anyone else or just me?

It's not a streak, it counts total logins not consecutive ones :) So you can skip a day and be fine to continue next day! Also it happens sometimes.. it does not show up but it does count the login~ However if you are still concerned just write a support ticket and they will answer your worried question!

    Have a nice day~

It's very obvious a DDOS is in stake. There site keeps getting attacked & its a reoccurring problem, its clear that someone is being a script kiddie, iv'e seen it all the too often to know.

If it was a generic network problem im sure it wouldn't be a all outage across every platform. Someone is hitting every platform & the site also on the 31st of October i remember them saying they where dealing with a DDOS, so it's likely its continued to carry on.

Yeah exactly. I think the same and I do remember them stating about it a few days ago~ All we can do is wish DE good luck to deal and have patience with it ._.

Our spoopy radars have quieted down, seems whatever was looming over us from the shadows has scurry off. You should now be able to log in. Stranger Things have happened in the DE offices, seems the Grineer are pulling out some tricks today. If you're still experiencing difficulties try to log in in a couple of minutes.

We'll continue monitoring for any further issues.

    Thank you!

affinity x2 needs to be extended or repeated next weekend as does the ceres ludi catalyst invasion....

The frequency of these 'attacks' is getting far too common and really something needs to be done at the root of the problem (and I don't just mean the attackers) to reduce this.

No it shouldnt be extended, it shouldnt be an incentive for them to repeat it again just to get more 'extensions' in future.. Even doing double baro was a mistake.. Basically by giving a repeat of something - letting attackers win.. :)

Eh, mine's still in clan research so I haven't used it yet. I just didn't want to immediately jump on the nerf train without seeing it for myself. If they actually removed its ability to proc reliably in any way... well, that is kind of lame.

Yeah.. Sadly, they took away the only thing that made it unique and great. I cant believe I spent time on 2x Forma and potato.. plus 5 nitain and 10 mutagen mass.. sigh.. >_<

Sadly, we'll always see this happen. Most people don't have the foresight to realize when something looks grossly overpowered, it is going to be fixed. All they can think is that DE took something they could easily kill things with away. And now that thing is useless. Time to quit the game!

It's sad. Same reaction with Smeeta and countless other things DE have fixed.

Sorry, but the weapon wasn't overpowered. Yes it was strong, but it was not broken. Also you can easily kill anything with almost any weapon in the game.. if modded right..

Ehh.. RIP Caustacyst, a melee status weapon done good... 2016 - 2016 #NeverForget

    Dearest Tenno,

It’s been 3 years of Carrier dominating the Vacuum business, and only recently we've even started a dialog on a topic you've brought up frequently. Experiments (such as The Vacuum Within) typically have 2 sides- you either fail or you succeed. Our previous idea to have universal Vacuum be a 3 Mod makeup was proposed on Devstream #80, to which we then scrapped after acknowledging the copious amounts of “please don’t do that” feedback.

From that, our new idea was to have Vacuum built into every Sentinel with a reduced range. Upon reading the constructive feedback from our Community about The Vacuum Within, it was clear we needed to make some tweaks- and here we have experimental Mutation X! Vacuum is now an equippable Mod (Precept) for all Sentinels. We have also increased the range from 6m to 12m at max rank. All current Sentinel owners will receive this Mod instantly, as well as retroactively with every Sentinel crafted or purchased- much like other default Precepts.

With that being said, we appreciate those that kept the feedback valuable and refrained from death threats. We changed something precious to you, and we will continue to change where needed as we listen to the Community.

PC players can expect this today- stay tuned!!

Thank you DE for listening to us and admitting the mistake, you actually surprised me and I was not expecting any resolving of this issue anytime soon.

I highly apologize for yesterday's tantrums that I've done, because you guys have proven me wrong and I admit it I was childish. Keep up the good work by shining new hope on you guys, that I had lost but now I've found it again. I guess in the end we are all just humans and we all make mistakes.. most important is to learn from them, I won't jump the gun ever again in such situations since you proved that you actually do admit that some experiments did not go that well. What I am trying to say is in the end that this Love-Hate relationship has turned more into Love-Love now towards you all. ^-^

Thank you so much for proving me wrong,  since I love this game with passion so yea ah ^^ And again keep up with the great work.

    With best regards,

    ~Jester.
