  1. Clearly, they must not. However as many others have already said, the only skins approaching this level of exclusivity were gimmicky console/website-themed things like Verv or Switch or XBOX/PS skins, and it was understandable, that those would be contractually isolated to only be available through those specific markets, and the overall price point felt cheaper, or like you got more for your buck, or both. DE said they never wanted to pull a "founder's pack" on their playerbase ever again though (someone else is gonna have to source that for me, just repeating to be transparent about it) with FOMO on that sort of scale, and here they are doing it again. Aside from Tennogen, and console/website promotions and supporter packs, the overwhelming quantity of non-tennogen skins for this game, have been available in the market for Platinum. We're strongly disappointed in DE for not making these skins a Platinum purchase in the first place like the rest of the "Deluxe" skins on the market, and making them Cash-only instead. The LEAST they could do is not extort us for MORE than 20$ per skin, when the rest of the skins on offer max out at like, 7 bucks for tennogen, and wayyyy less than effectively 20$ per other deluxe skins that only cost 200plat, about 10$ in plat before you factor in PLAT DISCOUNTS and the fact that it's farmable for F2P players so long as whales keep platinum in circulation. We know. We've done the math. They're charging about $20 bucks for each skin and then another $30 for Regal Aya and plat, and all of that is ridiculous. They SHOULD be willing to let us pay ONLY $20 each per skin/signa pair we actually want. That's still 20 or 40 bucks more than the 0$ we're willing to spend when they're trying to make us buy $30 worth of Regal Aya we don't want.
  2. Having to be more frugal with your money casts this consumer-unfriendly practice into sharper relief. I literally need to catch up on my finances (need car repairs) for the next few months. But what I want is the skins/signas. What I don't need is Regal Aya, since I have previously bought every prime accessory pack I wanted and am almost 100% caught up on my prime weapons, and totally caught up on my Warframes. Them INFLATING THE PRICE WITH REGAL AYA, to the tune of about ~$30 worth, is obnoxious and an extremely anti-consumer move. Good merchants and salesmen will let you buy different things separately as you so desire, but offer discounts when you purchase things altogether at once, sacrificing a bit of their sales margin in exchange for more overall money AND good will from the buyer who feels like they're getting a deal. DE did the opposite of that. They said you HAVE to buy x amount of Plat/Regal-Aya's worth in order to buy the thing we all wanted to buy, the thing they advertised. Scummy.
  3. It's totally relevant: we're literally hitting the point where our feelings are so strong that expressing them genuinely is meeting the threshold for being considered spam! They're literally driving us to the point of "spamming" our agreements with what other people are saying!
  4. DE if this was an acceptable solution you would not be being immediately re-dogpiled by nearly everyone over this. Make a skin-only bundle at an appropriate price. If the cost of the cheapest current bundle alongside the skins was cheaper than the current middle bundle, then I'd buy both in a heartbeat. But I'm not buying the cheapest bundles when I'd miss out on the skins, and I'm not buying the bundles with the skins when it's forcing me to buy ~30 worth of regal aya I don't need BECAUSE I ALREADY SUPPORT YOU by buying prime accessory packs!
  5. If that was the case they would have told us, because it would literally answer and resolve the overwhelming majority disapproval, even if they told us they're still working it out first.
  6. imo, if you respected good consumer business practices and wanted to avoid exploitative ones, you'd make packs that didn't contain the Regal Aya but contained the skins. Because already-loyal supporters don't need Regal Aya, because they're already caught up with every single prime (accessory) they want, because they've already been spending money to support DE. It makes it hard to feel like lessons were learned when you're still leaving Regal Aya shoehorned into these bundles to inflate their costs, and in the first place made nearly the exact same mistake as was made with Regal Aya in the first place, not even including enough platinum alongside them to make them feel worthwhile compared to your existing prime packs sales model.
  7. People who chose to buy it as it is, whatever. They should at LEAST make a 4th bundle option that's JUST the accolade, the 2 skins/halos, and price it appropriately for the lack of the price-inflating Regal Aya. Or at least make a PLATINUM version of the Celestial bundle for the same price, with 6 Regal Aya's value-equivalent in Platinum, so that LOYAL PRIME-ACCESS/ACCESSORIES-PACK CUSTOMERS can still get something useful alongside the fashion, not useless Regal Aya that we don't have anything we want to buy with it.
  8. Let's say the 6 Regal Aya out of the Celestial Bundle was about $20 worth, since the Celestial Bundle lacks any platinum. If they subtracted the Regal Aya and sold the 2 skins and the Accolade for $50, I would've seen it as "another Prime Accessories Pack", somewhat comparable to the types of cosmetics we sometimes get from Accessory Packs (Warframe Armor +Syandana + Operator Outfit, compared to Prime Cosmetic Skin 1, 2, and 2 halos and an Accolade). I am NOT spending $20 on Regal Aya I severely don't need because I've already BEEN a loyal supporter of DE for years and years and buy the majority of their Prime Accessories packs, and even some of their full Prime Access packs. Do you realize that DE? You're ACTIVELY PUNISHING LOYAL CUSTOMERS by inflating the costs of these bundles under the justification of your new "extra-premium currency".
  9. If anyone is experiencing 0% GPU usage on nvidia drivers, try today's driver. Just updated and Warframe started using my GPU again.
  10. Same, out of the blue it's telling me I'm not eligible to run the Steel Path Circuit even though I'm literally partway through the reward path already from earlier this week.
  11. Why again, DE? Why are you making all of these "Lining" Channels flat colors that clash with so many other outfits? The 19 other outfits that have metallic channels have them on the "Lining" channel, please swap the UI assignment for these 5's current Lining Channels with the channel for their outfit that actually has metallics in them. I don't want to be stuck using Harrier, Orizu, and Loneryder together nearly exclusively, in order to have the same color be metallic across the whole outfit, instead of garishly flat-colored and present as a metallic.
  12. I can understand a chosen color looking different than expected when you run it through the "filter" of a material's glossiness, or darkening/lightening textures over top of the raw color (commodore prime's rough texture overlay that looks like a layer of black specks comes to mind), but yeah, nothing should be preventing them from manually tuning it so that the effective input color is brighter or darker, or more or less saturated, in order to come closer to matching the rest of the roster's observable effective color output. If a texture would make something look 20% darker and 10% less saturated, make it so that it adjusts the input color to be about 15% lighter and 8% more saturated or something, so that it at least comes far closer to matching the rest of the outfit. And yeah, examples like this, or the Stranger's Hood glowing with the brilliance of a thousand suns (when it released), is just egregious oversight. If it's the same texture as any other existing textures in the outfit roster, it should express color the same way. If the textures are only slightly different, like the difference between a silky fabric and a satin/sateen, or between cotton and polyester and rayon-like fabrics, or between the "ceramic" and hard shiny "plastic" looking textures, then the actual colors should only be slightly different between them as well. These issues would be even less of a problem if DE put in more work to assign the same materials to the same color channels more consistently. Harrier, Kubrodon, Loneryder, and Outrider all still have funky non-Lining-assigned metallic color channels. Look at how non-matchy some of these things are, where the would-be golds/electrums end up weird flat yellows on the Harrier outfit, and where the copper on the Harrier ends up this flat peach, and the flat black on the Harrier makes the non-harrier metallics barely look metallic any more.
  13. I feel like I've also already given a fairly comprehensive cheat sheet guide for DE to merely... Swap which buttons hook up to which color channels on the identified outfits, here below again If they don't have an even easier way internally identifying which materials are on which channel of each item and which color-channel-button it's mapped to, they can literally just reference this list and hop the channels around, I imagine one intern could do that in one afternoon's work, and would fix the overwhelming majority of this issue. Non-metallic -> ------ <- Metallic Primary -> -------- <- Accent/Lining Would require no additional storage server space at all to do this, and then instead of having to manually color each attachment or operator outfit piece, most outfits would just take the colors correctly/similarly instead of mismatchingly.
  14. As much as I desire to see them grant us at least 3 Kaithe color slots, and 3 bonus purchaseable slots on Operator and Drifter, and I think they should be done, for consistency's sake to match Warframes' customizations, I can very easily see how it'd be potentially prohibitively expensive to store 4 more color channels per Warframe appearance config owned by every player. Some streamers get meme-gifted 100s of the same Warframes, so unless "default/none" is a shortcut (hopefully is) that saves them more server space, as much as I think it'd improve the player experience, I'm not sure that that's an option DE would pursue. However.... Often one chooses similar attachments on purpose anyways, maybe DE could add a simple binary toggle switch on each attachment that designates whether each attachment is utilizing color-set 1 or 2, so that there's still a majority of consistency between the color selections for a given Warframe and it only adds one set of 5 color selections per each config instead of 4 more sets? Maybe that's a good compromise?
  15. I see upvotes every once in a while, anyone else have more thoughts on this?
  16. ALSO annoying is the fact that we only have 3 configs to choose from for Operator or Drifter appearances respectively. Or ONE for the Kaithe, come to think of it. What's the point in having all of these customizations if you only get to show off a few looks out of the dozens available? Or in having all of these customizations only for a SELECT FEW to completely break the established norms of color channel materials? For goodness sake, the OPERATOR TRANSFERENCE ROOM and QUARTERS STILL have a PAINTJOB for the Tertiary channel instead of a METALLIC like the REST of the Orbiter enjoys!!! Why is that the Tertiary instead of the Accent channel anyways? Okay that's odd but at least the detail is small enough to predominantly overlook the inconsistency in material. Metallics assignments I identified that aren't just in Accents channel: Like..... Look at how random some of these metallics are spread across? For singular metallics, you have 9 assigned on Tertiary alone, 2 on Primary alone, and 1 on Secondary alone. Those are an EASY IMMEDIATE FIX. Just flip their hookups and color channels for their current metallic channel, with the Accent channel! Boom, you have 12 more attachments whose color/texture mismatches with other attachments don't make you want to gouge your eyes out. Like. For all that is holy, WHY is it that the Tennocon sets fail to match metallics channels with the Dex Raksaka or majority of Prime attachments? That one might bug me the most out of all metallic mismatchings, right up there with Loneryder, Harrier, and Outrider not metallics-matching the majority of other Operator outfits. And of course that doesn't begin to touch on the inconsistency of double or triple metallic-channel-possessing attachments not even consistently using the same formats. 9 of the 18 double-metallic channels already use Tertiary and Accents, actually, so just flipping the other 9 to match would go a long ways towards making more attachments match each other. And the triple-metallics are just a matter of choosing which channel isn't metallic, so can we please just choose Primary, since the overwhelming majority of sub-3-metallic-channel things have a non-metallic Primary channel? As a general rule, making it go from greatest non-metallic surface area to least nonmetallic, to least nonmetallic coverage to greatest metallic coverage, with minimal artistic deviations from this pattern, would make so many more sets go together more nicely. I'm dying to match the Tennocon, Hexis, Gazal, and Pakal, and the Loneryder Harrier Operator outfits, with other available options.
  17. It should be mentioned that this is an issue that also exists for specifically the Harrier, Kubrodon, and Outrider operator outfits as well, in addition to a number of individual Warframe skins, helmets, and attachments.
  18. I'd love for Warframe helmets and skins and operator outfits to be able to be independently colored so much. But they wouldn't even need to grant us that as urgently if they just took a few minutes to make sure everything with a metallic channel had it's color selection be tied to Accent/Lining instead of something else. And for additional metallic or metal-like materials to consistently be mapped to tertiary. If all things followed that rule, then you'd far more rarely ever encounter matte vs metallic clashes, where a color for realistic looking metallics end up looking super drab or sickly on a cloth material, and where a nicely colored fabric makes the metal look garish.
  19. Others have noticed and spoken out about this request before as well. People have been complaining about this inconsistency in various categories in the game since 2018 It just keeps happening. over and over again By so many of us. It'd be great to have some intern just bust out identification of current metallic channels on everything we can color-customize in the game so that it could be made consistent. Or at least *more* consistent than it currently is.
  20. This isn't a skill issue. I can find what works together and make it work. But WHY, WHY is it that the Lining Color channel on Loneryder, Harrier, Kubrodon Ventkid, and Outrider are for one of their nonmetallic color channels!? DE I love your game, and I love and appreciate pretty much all of your operator outfits for what they bring to the table. What's killing me, is that these four don't mesh with the other ~19 outfits that have their only (or one out of their 2) metallic channel on the Lining layer. Look at that. 3 different metallic colors across the 4 pieces. It's kinda garish :/ lots of mismatching there, with Outrider's metallic being determined by Secondary, Loneryder and Harrier being determined by Primary (and Secondary for Harrier), while everything else that has a metallic pulls from Lining like Koppra does there. There's ~20 other outfits that can all play nicely together because their metallic channels will be the same color, and the metallic color won't be elsewhere in a non-metallic texture. Outrider basically matches nothing, Harrier and Bishamo both have dual-metallics but they only share one of them, which is one that Loneryder can match, and of course Voidshell can be made to match practically anything. But that's still a very very very short list of more easily compatible outfit pieces for Loneryder, Harrier, Kubrodon Ventkid, and Outrider to be compatible with. It looks okay, but switch almost any of these pieces for almost any other Operator outfit set's pieces and it looks really off :/ and I'm already cheating by making things blend with more desaturated colors like black and blue-grey. PLEASE DE. Please, switch a few of the channel hookups around. I dunno if other times I brought it up you think I'm asking for you to change the actual outfit material textures or something, I'm literally just asking for the Lining menu item to map to and change the color of one of the metallic materials of the outfits. Harrier: Swap the current Primary (ideally) or Secondary material channel with the Lining Color. Kubrodon: Swap the current Primary with Lining Loneryder: Primary with Lining Outrider: Secondary with Lining And if the original lining doesn't make sense, please feel free to shuffle primary/secondary/tertiary around until it does. It'd be great if this was done, as we'd then have ~25 outfits that you can more easily mix and match together, instead of the current separate group of ~20 and group of ~5 whose metallics only play well within their own groups of options. On the Drifter side, it's literally only the Grineer outfit lacking any metallic texture (sans Waistband Gear) and only the Loneryder failing to match the other 9 non-Grineer/Voidshell outfits' metallic materials being mapped to the Lining color. Last thing on a similar note, for the outfits that do have multiple metallic channels, can they also get on the same page with where their two channels are? Ideally Lining and Tertiary consistently? Or Secondary? I would be even more happy fashion-framing if these mismatches weren't a problem >.< Bonus: my current main operator look But rest assured, if these changes were made I'll have extremely strong competition for new aesthetic combinations using Harrier and Loneryder (and Feldune), which I just adore.
