  1. If people with money want to provide monetary support to companies whose business practices they are appreciative of, that's their prerogative. Some people DON'T like chasing the maximum amount of money they can make all the time, there's nothing wrong with them "investing" in good companies instead of other "actual investments".
  2. You mean the way you've been "done" and "not coming back" like, 5 times now already? Lol. I dunno about you, but at this point if this is how DE is going to treat it's playerbase and supporters and their wallets, I feel all of my former support (prime accessories packs, platinum, supporter packs) turning into rancid buyer's remorse. I'm going to spend the same amount of energy I spent supporting the game and talking it up, on telling people "DE isn't the same any more, it's WORSE". They can learn that you can't un-poison a well. So yeah, me and others will continue "pointlessly" padding out threads like this, and posts elsewhere, so that potential new Warframe players know exactly what they're signing up for, if they do: FOMO, exclusivity, and money milking.
  3. Use the Viral Augment instead? Also armored Robotic Corpus enemies exist. With how creep happens, I would wish for DE to aim for the upper ends of Warframe efficacy bell curve (excluding top outliers), not just prop up a Warframe to be barebones barely at at the bottom end of the bell curve instead of dragging down the average by being nearly last place. I do feel like your attitude in your complaints/critiques are a bit disproportionate, especially given that this could be subject to additional tweaks, buffs, and changes with our feedback. I do think that they're probably aiming right for right down the middle here, giving him a gather ability and making his 4 non-griefy and potentially saving players a mod slot with the change to his 1. SOME Warframe has to be the bottom of the barrel, relatively speaking, if he's above the bottom 10 with these tweaks I'm not sure how much more is really justified in demanding. I'd actually prefer them to nerf down some of the outliers in over-performing abilities so that they can tone down some of the enemy scaling, so that weapons and abilities are both reasonably consistently useable. You know, rather than make him the new everyone-picks-him-because-he's-the-easiest-or-best Warframe and adding more creep.
  4. What's the new player path experience going to be for obtaining the Frost and Mag Prime Heirloom skins from 2024 and onwards? 🤔
  5. It warms my heart to see this community so united in support of non-toxic business practices and continually decrying toxic business practices that it feels like every third comment is about it, and curdles my stomach to see DE so spineless and quiet about putting in such toxic FOMO and blatantly unwanted price inflation via "premium" currency bloating. DE are you going to stab us in the back with silence and heavy-handed chat moderation erasing all traces of so many people's concerns and distaste, and just give us primed disappointment? Or are you going to do right by your community and actually fix this bogus predatory money grab that has made many of us not even want to touch Warframe since this was announced?
  6. Thanks! And is it just me, or are the mods compiling our responses if we make several consecutively? If so, that could mean that the number of pages this thread COULD have had might be over 100, if anyone was like me and responded to different responses to ourselves across different pages consecutively. Granted, 5 people triple-posting over and over again to inflate page-count wouldn't prove anything, but with them REMOVING triple-posts or whatnot, they only add more credibility to the 90 pages that are here. Especially considering some responses were doubtless outright way too rude to DE, or Megan, or other posters, and those would've been removed outright, even if they came from a genuinely justified place of distaste for how DE's handled this Heirloom debacle. What a freaking pity, that their 10 year anniversary has to be marred by such terrible insistence on their end at monetizing the hell out of their customer-base beyond reasonable amounts.
  7. It is what it is. Thursday at 2PM EST isn't exactly the most universally convenient time for people in CA/USA timezones either. At least in Mountain Time Zone that'd be during a Lunch hour for the average 8-5 mon-fri worker, but other than that? It just is what it is. Set your phone on a charger open to Warframe's channel open, or watch it after the fact.
  8. Hah. No. That'd dig directly into their bottom line, as currently the primary means of obtaining these are Sorties (good luck with RNG) or Nightwave (good luck affording them amongst everything else, if you're a new player), or the Market. Being too impatient to wait to buy/build/earn Catalysts or Reactors is the same as with Forma, one of their presumably BIG platinum-burners and therefore money earners. The one grace, is that Forma can be grinded for via relics, at the expense of the fact that you need them several times for most individual items you'd apply them to, instead of once-each like with the potatoes. A lot of people agree that Inaros and Valkyr need work. However, they can not die *and* still be fun to play with, with extreme tankiness. Hydroid's "undying tank" option does NOT allow him to be fun to play with, you just sit there as a puddle draining your energy doing nothing, unless you're draining EVEN MORE energy doing something. I don't think any Hydroid enthusiasts will disagree with you that Inaros is the next most-needed rework, with Valkyr potentially up next.
  9. Soulframe has nothing to do with Warframe, but as Warframe is DE's "main" baby rn, they use Warframe's platforms as a bit of an advertising boost so that Soulframe'll have a good launch eventually, presumably. If you don't want to play another game just ignore it whenever it's on-screen or being discussed. Warframe 1999 will likely either have, or pave the way towards, major revelations about the fundamental nature of the Void, Wally, Albrecht, and even the origins of Warframes and the Technocyte virus or whatnot, potentially.
  10. Kullervo has lore in his dedicated farm that isn't just "some game rotation" but rather custom-made for him (afaik, I got him with plat and haven't farmed him yet). Citrine and Voruna got new slightly differentiated game-modes. Citrine has lore dialogue shared to us by Loid/Otak, Voruna has a Leverian. Styanax has a 5 minute mini-move about him and was made the reward for a unique game-mode (Kahl) Gyre is the last Warframe we had close to zero lore for, and Caliban before her. Yareli had the Waverider Quest and comic. Sevagoth had the entire Call of the Tempestarii Quest. All that to say, while I agree with you that another full quest-frame would be nice for lore and just for a fun experience in general, acting like they "just simply put the components as reward on some game rotation and call it a day" is a bit insincere and uncalled for. What is called for, is asking them for an update on the Heirloom Collections DE, you have 90 pages of replies on your own forum, with 200+ unique forum respondents Liking responses that call out how your response was insufficient, criticism has topped the Warframe reddit page several times with thousands of upvotes, and content creators are criticizing this left and right on YouTube. At what point do we have to get to, before you just make a 4th bundle like everyone is asking for, and ditch the FOMO and forced-premium-currency-bundling BS? Getting players to buy their way into looking like they've been a "10 year supporter" and ignoring all of the supporters who have actually supported you for 10 years, looks awful and ugly of you.
  11. I'll see if YOU can see why this validates the 90 and counting pages of criticism and feedback. This is us expressing many things that feel wrong. DE provided this farce of a solution in the form of inflating the "values" of the packs with platinum, without actually addressing the overwhelming majority of reasons why people feel like this is still WRONG. We're telling them what feels wrong. We'll continue until they design a correct solution. It doesn't though. People who paid for the 70 or 90 dollar packs decided it was worth their money. Our outcry has given those users more platinum already. Offering a different option that ONLY gives a few things, like the skins, even WITHOUT the exclusivity of the ACCOLADE, would take nothing from you or others that paid for it. You honestly only have yourselves to blame for not JOINING us in the boycott to prove to DE that it was worth it, so that you could buy it at the cheaper price point. Gating exclusivity behind A) having $70, and B) being here right now, spits on the faces of users who have spent $5 here and there for discounted plat, or $50 for prime accessory packs reliably, but can't justify the purchase of an additional $70 on top of those. Exclusivity and FOMO is a sucky concept to introduce so heavily to Warframe, especially for cosmetics to a game that PRIDES itself on "Fashion-frame is Endgame". And at the end of the day, DE could give users options to convert down to the lower bundles if they were so inclined, that would unfortunately be unable to be refunds, most likely, but hopefully allow users to get credit for future Heirloom sets, or convert to platinum or regal aya or both. It's just a matter of how much they want to do so. But if they AREN'T going to allow you to change what you're buying, you should be yelling WITH US that they shouldn't have done this in the first place, like the rest of us are already saying! Don't fight us because you regret not standing with us against poor decisions on DE's end. It was from somewhere else on the forums, can't take credit, I lifted it from them and keep reposting it because it's SUCH a concise and informative summary image of what DE's doing with this pack. I think it was literally just from earlier in the pages of threads, like first 15 or something.
  12. Same. I'd cough up $30 for the skins and signa even though I'm borderline broke rn. I WON'T buy any plat or prime accessory packs like I usually do. Before the Heirloom bundle announcement, I was super antsy about saving money up for their art book if it became available again, and maybe even their Warframe Soundtrack records. Now? Not so much. I don't want to support the devs that pull this bullcrap.
  13. They haven't responded AFTER the community collectively (yes including repeat posters like myself and some others, but LOTS of unique posters) told them this was still an AWFUL response from them. FOMO is awful. Forcing people to opt-in to buying plat and regal aya in order to buy 2 skins and 2 cosmetics people want is awful. Forcing people to buy it ALL when they might *only* want ONE Signa, or one Warframe skin, is awful. Their response was tone deaf, just "throw more plat at them to shut them up and ignore all of their more major concerns". Aka this, which I'm reposting again. ^ There may be 4 or 5 of us who are repeatedly posting, but if you REMOVED the top 5 recurrent posters of posts in this thread, you'd still have like 50+ pages of comments. High post count doesn't mean everyone's suggestions within are correct. But as DE has repeated as a game developer sentiment themselves before, "players are good at expressing what feels wrong, but not necessarily good at designing correct solutions". This is us expressing our outrage at how TERRIBLE DE's optics as a "free to play" game developer has turned with this decision, at least among us, but also across a number of online news articles, with headlines like the following. PCGamesN Warframe fans enraged as new Tennocon skins cost more than Starfield Sportskeeda "The worst, most predatory thing DE has done so far" - Warframe community expresses concerns over the expensive Heirloom Collection It shouldn't have happened this time. And you know who might actually lose? DE, if enough of their previously loyal mini-whales who consistently bought their Prime Accessory Packs realize that DE doesn't actually give a S#&$ that they already have everything they could spend Regal Aya on, and don't need the Platinum either, and realize that DE won't actually reward them for their loyalty in any way, instead blatantly trying to milk them for more. It's a scummy move of DE. And like WotC, Unity, Twitter/X, Adobe, and lots of other companies, they might find that they have burnt the goodwill, and their reputation, and have initiated a spiral down from their heights of success. We'll see, with time, who truly lost. Or who truly wins, if DE actually bothers to do the right thing and stop trying to FORCE people into paying for so much platinum or regal aya that they don't want. Some Celebration of 10 Years of Warframe, this was, when a thread can go on for so many page's worth of comments. Lol you're right though, how out of touch are these white knights simping and sucking on DE's monetization team's boots, to ignore 86 pages of feedback, when there are over 200 individual player's likes for several of the first-page comments that stated the same thing we're saying again later, that we wanted a RegalAya/Platinum-free bundle that was not inflated in price by those premium currencies. They KNOW DE's wrong, DE knows they're wrong, and they're both hoping for silence in the hopes that they can ignore the issue and pretend it doesn't exist, and pretend that DE's still the super fair, super nice listens-to-their-community (when the community is JUSTIFIED of course) developer. It's just to defend their own enjoyment of the game, despite the fact that support of this move will only deteriorate people's opinion and support (including financially) for the game.
  14. Except it's not just skins. That's the point. We WANT a bundle that's priced appropriately for JUST being the SKINS. (And Signa, I assume, for most people).
  15. +1 on the flickering since whenever, it's super annoying, and only started recently, and it IS worth letting DE know that there's a specific update that seemed to contain elements that cause flickering where there previously wasn't, and has been deteriorating and getting worse. My entire chat UI menu is like, CONSTANTLY doing little flickers. Sometimes it's just individual lines of text or symbols (username, platform/chat-type icons, and messages flicker separately) and sometimes it's even the entire window flickering.
  16. Management and Legal and PR need to be more on top of things then, completely separate from Megan. They (DE as a whole) shouldn't hardly ever end up in a situation where a S#&$ show is ongoing for a week and then stewing in frustration for an additional weekend without at least *acknowledging* the concerns and indicating that it's being looked into. If Megan ISN'T taking a day off, afaik it should be her TOP priority to at least have a placeholder acknowledgement to last us over the weekend, wrestled from legal and management however possible.
  17. It's highly unlikely to be her fault the packs are like this, and this isn't a pure community/PR issue like certain historical controversies have been. The community manager is essentially primarily just the mouthpiece of a company, they deliver news, they don't make decisions. Just aim it at DE. Megan doesn't deserve abuse for decisions that were out of her control. But @[DE]Megan it costs nothing to put a pause on the rage and make our complaints feel heard by simply acknowledging it and confirming that internal reviews, discussions, and assessments are occurring internally over this topic. We'd appreciate it a lot. and if you don't, we'll be justifiably pissed off at the apparent commitment to this course of action, to the point that, while I disagree with and don't condone it, I'd understand people continuing to be pissed off enough that they'll stoop to these targeted personal attacks, because human psychology makes people attack more tangible, identifiable targets with faces, because the attacks feel more effective. And people are going to feel justified over such attacks when DE looks like it's just putting it's head in the sand and waiting out the complaints and stubbornly committed to putting this black spot on the 10th anniversary. just tell us if you need a week to hash out sticky legal roadblocks or console-cert stuff. We'll get it.
  18. Unless anyone's getting doxxed over this, or publicizes their location, they're physically safe. And it's not like the criticism is unwarranted. Buying the pack is a choice, it's not an immutable characteristic of someone like their ethnicity or identity. Your energy would be better spent joining the mob and complaining to DE for making purchasers of the pack into targets of criticism because DE was the one to make the packs worthy of so much criticism.
  19. 🎶 58 pages of heirloom complaints, 58 pages of complaints. Hunker down, Pray the fuss dies down, Several more pages of heirloom complaints 🎶 DE, this is just obnoxious to see silence from you on this. Do right by your community that's kept you employed and funded for the last 10 years. Make a Regal Aya and Platinum free bundle at ~$40USD or less, that includes the skins and signas. Or even better, like everyone repeatedly asks, ~$20usd packs per each skin/signa combo, and/or a $20 pack for just the signas. You owe your ACTUAL 10-year-long supporters that actually buy your prime access(ory) packs an option that doesn't give them a useless currency they don't need or want to buy. Inflating the prices with Regal Aya is scummy.
  20. "What would have happened if you hadn't been offered to be spat in the face for 5 dollars?" Then obviously it should have been assumed that their labor and money was being put into everything else we saw at Tennocon. These skins objectively could have been released like normal deluxe skins, or even double priced ones, for platinum. The bundles could have excluded regal aya, or at least had one bonus bundle that only had the cosmetics at a reasonable price. What kind of white knight question is this? The founders pack saved DE from bankruptcy and failure, and made the game into what it is today. They wouldn't be hosting an expensive convention with extraordinarily generous cash prize giveaways, or be sponsored by so many other companies, if they didn't think DE was a financially successful, thriving company. Tencent/Leyou wouldn't have purchased DE if DE wasn't a moneymaking machine. And let's say they weren't making money recently. Like I said recently elsewhere, they could regretfully announce that they have to keep up with inflation in NA and globally, so we would see yearly 1-5% cost increases for platinum and prime access and regal aya. That'd be respectable and fair! What's not fair is forcing us to buy regal aya we don't need just to buy skins we do want!
  21. Monitoring for issues Meet issue Instead of FORCING us to buy Regal Aya in order to buy the skins and signa (and accolade, for those who care), if Platinum and Regal Aya need a price bump to keep up with global and NA inflation in particular, be honest and just announce that you may perform a yearly or quarterly increase in prices moving forward to not fall further behind inflation. That'd genuinely be more fair and welcomed than this anti-consumer practice.
  22. Ikr? "Ten Year Supporter" as an accolade and bundling Regal Aya into the only two bundles that include skins, just reeks of disrespect towards players who've already been supporting them.
  23. Giving DE negative feedback for a bad choice is productive. An average of like, what, 1 new post every 5 minutes on this thread? 90% of which echo the sentiment that this sucks? Should speak to the seriousness with which DE should be taking action to rectify this situation. We intend to be loud until DE proves they're ACTUALLY listening this time, instead of doing this I can't wait until my Reacts refresh so I can upvote more comments like yours.
