  1. I mean they cost like 90 platinum, not 90 bucks. All the cool kids devs do FOMOs now.
  2. I believe so. I simply consider those defending FOMOs to probably be some mfs who brag their exclusive BS to the latecomers and new players. As a consumer, FOMO items bring literally ZERO benefits. We have a limited purchase window instead of the item being always available, the price tag only goes up if they have a limited supply, and they are not necessarily better designed than non-FOMO items (because some of their value comes from FOMO - which is quite literally nothing but time pressure). Paying for them is one thing but defending them is something else.
  3. Victim of "missing out". Wow I can see why some people are having difficulties in understanding stuff. Certain player started playing 6 months later: Wow it's a cool skin, totally want to buy it. Hypernaut1: Shame you didn't play this game 6 months earlier. But I did and I got the chance to get it. Now you never have the chance to get it because it's timed exclusive. Die knowing it's your fault for not hearing about this game between June 2023-31 Dec 2023. Jealous yes? I believe you are a decent enough person to not be like this but that will be what happening to some players after the FOMO stuff is out of the market. Understand now?
  4. I say just copy the Apex Legends model, $5 for a pack that randomly gives different tiers of cosmetics, each pack will give 3 cosmetics including at least 1 blue tier, and opening 500 packs will guarantee a heirloom tier, boom now DE is rich AF. 4 heirloom tiers ability visual effects + skin + helmet. Why charge $90 for all when you can charge $2500 each? By the way the idea in your post is EXACTLY the idea behind Sentient-themed evolving armor set and syandana. You do cr@p with the armor set or syandana on then you progressively get them "evolved" into prettier cosmetics. Only 1 set is created tho. For obvious reason.
  5. It's not about whether you have the chance to get it or not. FOMO overall is just horrible business practice. Just because you haven't fallen victim to it YET doesn't mean it's problematic to complain about it. Gamers are just so get used to the FOMO business model some of them even defend it which is just sad because we literally have nothing to gain from FOMOs. Maybe the right to brag at the latecomers, IDK.
  6. So it's bad to complain now and OK to complain 6 months later? Bad business practice is bad 6 months later or not. Players complain FOMO now so they don't fall victim to even more predatory FOMO in the future I guess it is kinda hard for some people to understand. When the predatory marketing trick works, they test for your bottom line, then they test it further and further and then that's basically how you get EA. Say like Regal Aya. Perfect example of bottom-line testing. We used to occasionally get PV accessories packs that have a syandana and armor set (say like Chroma Prime). Under the current system the same money gets you 3 ayas and syandana and armor set each costs 2 ayas. So tada now we lost the chance the getting a syandana AND an armor set forever. But wait, before that the platinum was also NOT INCLUDED in the aya packs. Bottom-line testing you see? And there was huge players backlash, players complain and complain and complain, and then DE gave the platinum BACK which was always there. But we still lost the chance the getting a syandana AND an armor set forever. See how this bottom-line sh1t works?
  7. Well they surely heard the players who complain about not getting a change to pay for a timed exclusive $90 skin pack alright
  8. If they can break the vow of no more timed exclusives then I can expect them to break the promise of Excalibur Prime not returning anymore right? I mean the $90 will actually be worthwhile. While yes it's not like the promise is written in the EULA but the EULA also doesn't forbid them to resell Excalibur Prime.
  9. If you like this weapon you should be happy to receive an upgrade right? If you hate this weapon then I doubt it even matters to you.
  10. Gauss has 2 signature weapons so we won't be seeing Daikyu Prime (if it exists at all) until the PA after.
  11. I think the change from void keys to void relics in the long term greatly hurts DE's revenue from prime equipment. Most prime parts are dirt cheap even after vaulting. People pay less frequently for platinum because it costs less to buy from other players and they pay even less for PA because of how easy it is to get it alternatively. Before the change a set of prime warframe could go for 150p minimum when it's not vaulted. I think Ember went for 500P+ after she was vaulted.
  12. The only thing I can tell from the demo is Durivi is gonna be cast aside and forgotten like many new content came before it.
  13. I missed the Tennocon live and therefore missed this gun, at least I haven't missed much it seems. Wish they release this gun in game ASAP.
  14. Strictly an ethical choice. According to EULA they can sell as many time-exclusive items as they want even reselling the Excalibur Prime package without any consequence.
  15. I support you but honestly even without any Aya and Platinum I doubt I'd pay for it. Paying real money for digital cosmetics is just dumb, and Tennogen is already a cash-grab as it is now. I mean you can get Armored Core 6 for $60 FFS...
  16. Actually this question should be the other way around - Orokins should look like normal human beings instead of blue-skinned humanoids with asymmetrical build. Example: Margulis and Operators, everyone on the Zariman. But some Orokins look how they are now and we never have a proper explanation. Grineer Queens are descendants of high-class Orokin but when they performed continuity they still chose a symmetrical body instead of one built like the blue-skinned Orokins which theoretically should be much more natural for them.
  17. They are still businesses and businesses never say no to more money.
  18. If the rework turns out to be arse then yes. If the rework is actually good like Wukong then no. Avalanche is the one of the best abilities in this game and Globe is one of the best defense options. He REALLY isn't in need of a rework. Tweak in numbers maybe.
  19. Why tie them with Platinum and Aya? At least there should be an option to get the cosmetics without any premium currency.
  20. I would if there's actually a reason to play RJ. Not counting the Corpus missions because they are essentially starchart missions but with RJ taxi. After you get your RJ fully modded there isn't a real reason to play anymore RJ as of now.
  21. Don't spam 4 when he's vulnerable. You can pin down the bombards and whatnot with 1 first before you start throwing javelins. Also Arcane Aegis.
  22. I don't know why DE isn't making another set of evergreen prime weapons (obviously they don't want to do free work and not get cash but still). Braton/Burston/Orthos/Fangs/(Ak)Bronco Prime have been in the prime drop table for years already. It's quite clear some of the Tenno weapons that have no variant are unlikely to ever get a prime if they follow the current prime package pattern. Tonbo, Kunai, Kama, Gazal Machete, Anku, Dual Raza, Nami Solo to name a few. Special mention to Nami Solo because Nami Skyla is already a thing and we haven't even gotten a prime machete yet. There is also Akzani which missed the prime pack because DE wasn't doing prime signature weapon back then, it will probably never get a prime which is sad.
  23. How did it work though? Like how did it affect the actual gameplay mechanic? Because I can't seem to recall the Squadlink affecting my gameplay in that event beyond some talking heads. The progress of the ground team and space team are not interlocked with each other in the slightest possible way. Had never failed a game because the other team f**ked up either. Essentially just 2 teams (assuming these 2 teams are actually related in the game coding at all) running 2 separate game sessions that don't affect each other.
  24. The Squadlink thingy was kinda unnecessary in the first place. I played that event first-hand and still have trouble recalling what it did (only remember you can pay credit and whatnot to aid players on the other side). Pretty sure it can be omitted without harming the main event. I'm positive it's not something like a specific foundation to that specific event because it played literally just like any other typical Warframe content. It was something like linking a Murex team and a ground Team except the "link" didn't really do anything beyond visuals. You got to see the talking head of Tenno on the other side but I don't think it's actually a real-time event (i.e. the game probably just showed you some other random players who were also playing in Scarlet Spear). You didn't get to interact with the other team in any way too.
