I was talking with some friends and I think I know what the next warframe(after Khora) is going to be. Here are some points on why the next frame will probably be a sentient frame:

-The next Warframe is quite late on the schedule, and DE probably would sent the next one in line if a frame's development takes too long. Maybe the frame can't be launched before The Sacrifice for reasons of lore.

-Geoff said that Bikatana, who really looks like it's Sentient in its origin, would come out with the next frame after Khora, and weapons that comes with Waframes usually tends to be thematic .

-Steve has used an avatar in the past that really looked like a Sentient Warframe and when asked in an old dev stream (I think maybe around 2 years ago) what his avatar was about, he mentioned that this frame model was ready a long time ago.

I thought that Chroma was the "sentient" warframe? In that he used the adaptive tech of the Sentients to create his vex armor hide?

Steve's Periscope Stream at GDC 2018

    The Sacrifice (Umbra)

    • Apologies for laughing the Umbra question off, apparently it was a nervous laugh for not releasing it already.
    • The Sacrifice's story is finished, the script is in final draft.
    • The custom gameplay and levels (including encounters and enemy types) are being worked on.
    • The current development phase is: "Okay, get her done."

    Venus Open World

    • Release date of Venus open world is still unclear.

    Miscellaneous

    • Steve is in San Francisco to attend GDC 2018, motive was to study how other developers fix their endgame and other systems (armor scaling, damage types, melee).
    • There are plans to expand on the Helminth Charger/Virus.
    • Primed Streamline is getting removed from Chinaframe.
    • Non-humanoid Warframes aren't considered (yet).
    • Geoff is apparently Steve's co-writer.

Thank you very much good sir, I didn't even know he had a periscope stream on Umbra recently till I was browsing the forums. You're the best.

I was standing next to a grineer eximus unit in the plains and i took time to stand next to it and observe it before splitting it in half. I realized that thing is like 4m tall and it made me wonder if its expained WHY they are so big anywhere where in the games lore, especially since every faction has massive eximus units. For gameplay purposes I'm sure it's to show the player that the enemy is a greater threat and very powerful...is that really it?

It is a deeper spiritual mystery that we must all unravel.

ever since i became close to the Arbiters of Hexis i been wondering what was the Tenno code? i know that Honor and chivalry were the cornerstone of that code but times have change and we know little to nothing about it so maybe its time to make our own. i was thinking we could do the job of the Arbiters for them. i wish for us not to be just mindless dolls fighting wars for the highest bidder but more of an honorable warrior with morals. here are a few codes we may abide by:

-Strength is life, for the strong have the right to be called a Tenno

    - Honor is life, for without honor one may as well be an empty shell

    - Loyalty is life, for without Loyalty one may as well be a feral beast destroying everything in its path

-Compassion is life, for without compassion one may as well be a pariah

feel free to add you're code. i want this to be an open discussion of what could be the new code or creed for the Tenno to abide by

    I have one code.

    BE AS EDGY AS POSSIBLE.

  5. Limbo.

Once a upon a time, I built him. I maxed him and potatoed him. I furnished him with mods.

Then I took him for a spin. All of a sudden, I felt a dark power grow within me. I began to get evil thoughts and evil ideas. I begin to press shift more and more often, going into another realm. I was even tempted to banish other players, to bring the entire game to a halt, all for my pleasure.

Then an angel spoke to me. It was in the form my Revenant-mode Ash Prime. And the Warframe told me that I must resist the darkness within...that I was must sacrifice Limbo on the altar.

    And so I did.

And I swear that any Limbo that crosses my path from henceforth will also die by the edge of my Galatine Prime.

    -:satisfied:

  6. I think Umbra will be a new expansion on the system, just like the Focus system was. This will involve learning to control the 'umbra system'; why this system is attached to a different frame, I know not. Perhaps it's something like Equinox Day/Night mode or something; but I'm pretty sure that Umbra is some sort of "expansion", not just some kind of transformation or option.

  7. I found this great video from a Youtuber called AlphenX while I was looking up information on the concept of the Jungian Shadow, Carl Jung's term for the 'dark side' of the ego. I'm thinking that perhaps this is the key to discovering what Umbra really is. Please analyze this in the context of The Sacrifice trailer and come up with your best hypothesis. I think we're on to something.

    Hello everyone,

As most of you probably know: raids have been 'temporarily' removed and those that completed a raid up until today got a new sekhara!

I personally think it lacks a little bit of creativity but I like it in general. It's basically the sevati sekhara but with some special effects, even the names look alike but whatever.

What do you think about the sekhara, what do you think it should've been like?

I wish we got a little noggle or something. Most people don't where sekharas because they clash with fashionframe and armor. Like others stated a sigil would've been nice as well.

What’s the point of making them end game worthy now? There is literally no reason to make them end game because there is no more Archwing end game. I know, making a weapon capable of killing JV Jordas doesn’t really take that much but seriously, DE needs to make an endless Archwing gamemode or something to make all these weapons worth using.

The ramp up time + reset puts them int o a  trash tier category compared to  most other weapons where you can get full damage every shot on every enemy  regardless if you miss or not.
You run across hallways/plains, shoot a target, move on - that's the style of gameplay warframe has - not stop, aim, shoot, wait, move on.

    One word.

I think the two handed katana will be released with Umbra

Could be. I know they will release Ballas' sword with Umbra though...I do hope the katana comes out before Umbra. Khora has her own dual swords and needlegun that's coming out with her, so hopefully we'll just get the katana before either of them.

  12. I could not agree more. From my experience, the worst eidolon fight experiences I've had are with high MR players who claim to be "experienced" and have the meta setups, crit cats and all, and then go bonkers because someone shot a limb before the lure was charged...and they are usually the ones who end up screwing everything up by letting lures die, not coordinating, etc.

The best squads are the chill ones where people just do their best and play the game.

If you wanna do 3 sets of the 3 eidolons in one night, you need to play with your friends, not on public.

make day shorter and night longer thank you.

or atleast make them 1 hour and 15 minutes each

I agree. 1 hour day and 1 hour night or something like that, idk why DE made night shorter...after all, I think the plains are more fun...after dark. It's just too hot during the day. I have to sit under the shade and fish.

Help I need some opinions since I'm arguing with people in another thread and I need references.
Riven users would help a ton.

    Arigato

Don't spend time arguing with people about weapons; if you like it, use it. Some people will always find fault with even perfect things.

Also, once rivens get involved, pretty much any weapon can become sortie viable.

For the record, the supra vandal was always amazing. But now that it got a massive crit chance buff, it's even more OP. It is by far one of the most powerful assault rifles in the game, only surpassed by the Soma Prime.

Atlas is based around rock and stone, Gara is based around Glass, but where is our King Midas Warframe?

I know I shouldn't be throwing things out when I don't have much planned out for such an idea or even concept art. I'm actually horrible at drawing and I don't know how one would make a frame with a focus around gold and "incandescents" fit in with the current cast and their abilities. So if anyone sees this and feels like making this idea into an actual concept go ahead! I would love to see what comes out of it!

Well, many deluxe and tennogen skins have the Midas touch. I think they will add a "metal" themed frame in the future probably, but not a gold one, because gold is...well, generic. We do have gold frames. We call them prime variants.

    With all that being said:

  16. Hi so I'm not sure if I be posting this in general discussion, so mods please feel free to move it to where it belongs. I just didn't think this was worth bugging support about so here it is.

I'm going to be getting a new laptop soon, and I also might be moving to a new place. I've heard of people getting autobanned by logging into their Warframe account from different devices or IP addresses. Is this true?

I'm not talking about people with multiple accounts, because that's a violation of EULA. I'm talking about honest people, like me, who only have one account (and rightfully so) but want to log in and play from a different laptop from another location.

Has anyone had any experience doing this? Is it possible to play Warframe from different devices and locations without raising flags?

    Thanks.

A 4-8 Player squad will team up to enter a new Orokin Tower known as The World Tree

Not so sure about the lore but this is what the new Void should've have been. The new dark sectors will be something like this in a way but I wish they had unique maps and enemies, not just the same old Grineer or Corpus. I want to fight enemy shadowframes or elite syndicate operatives.

Its a damned if they do, damned if they don't.

They release the update but it has bugs?  Forums catch fire because of said bugs with tons of people saying "They should have taken more time to fix bugs first."
They hold onto the release to fix the bugs?  Forums catch fire because the updates take too long and "They should release it and hotfix it later"
The tell us the date?  Forums catch fire if they can't keep to the date they say.
They don't tell us the date?  Forums catch fire an demand DE tell them when large updates are coming.

There literally isn't a way for DE to win in these situations....

I agree. Sometimes I think the community just really needs to chill. I know that sounds cliche but like for real. We need some chill. If anything today's devstream showed that DE really is listening, and that sometimes they just don't know to respond to 100 different viewpoints about how to handle a certain problem. It's a 300-strong development team and they aren't always going to have all the answers right away. They're finite just like the rest of us. Their intense ambition is what makes this game both great and buggy at the same time; I'm ready to forgive bugs but I don't ever want DE to give up on their ambition.
