  1. Every major update always comes with free tickets to the 'How dare you tell me its a skill issue' choir performance.
  2. Never realized someone could be this tin foil hat over something like login rewards but here we are. Burnout makes people wacky.
  3. The first time a hotfix made me a little sad :(
  4. The old capture target scream. The horrors of a Tenno gulag felt more real when they screamed like that.
  5. OP proves that being a veteran player at MR30 or any number of hours means absolutely nothing when you still don't realize Steve moved on from Warframe over a year ago.
  6. The story of Warframe turns out to just be the war between Windows, Linux, and MacOS blown way out of proportion.
  7. Maybe instead of being so focused on wanting to call people stupid, take your own advice and listen to how -you- sound yourself. You've played Warframe long enough to know bugs are a common part of the experience. Don't suddenly act like your expectations were betrayed because it's not perfect. Obviously it has issues, and DE has very openly stated that fact multiple times over the years. Therefore it's not released to -everyone- because who wants a massive Holiday catastrophe? That is the whole point of this founder-first dripgate live beta-testing.
  8. Take a moment to ask yourself this OP. It's Friday, and suddenly this happens. And you're one of the people caught up in it. How special would you have felt then? You would have been the first one angrier than a Bombastine that just stubbed his toe on a random Shawzin sitting around, complaining that DE should have finished it before releasing it. Well that's exactly what this is. They are using us as fodder to make sure you're sound as a baby when it comes.
  9. Based on the explanations we have been given, you can merge your PS4 progress up into your founder account. The PC account must become the main account, and all your progress from the PS4 account (items, progression, etc) are merged into your PC account. If you want your founder stuff, this is the only path. However a word of caution: If you decide to still play on your PS4, your founder stuff will only be available when you play that account on PC. Not on any other platform. For safety, I would send a message to support to confirm the steps necessary before firing it off.
  10. I definitely was preparing myself for a sudden Kaiju style battle but then they pulled a Mortal Kombat Friendship finisher and I was still ok with that too.
  11. The on-crew does not need to be nerfed. You and your friend should definitely report people demanding you to cooperate with this style of play 'or else'.
  12. If you need to ask OTHER PEOPLE whether you should play a game or not, then I think the answer is resounding no. The structure of Warframe as a game is clearly not your cup of tea, and you will find yourself back in the same pit of grief that caused you to leave before. I would recommend looking elsewhere for ways to pass your free time. Enjoy what memories you had of the game when it was nice, but find your happy place elsewhere.
  13. Ah the mandatory quarterly doom & gloom thread coming in before the end of the year again I see. Warframe has to end one day eventually. But is it really worth worrying about what a very slow natural decline should mean? New games come out all year round, people's interests change, their available time to play changes, commitments, emergencies, all that stuff and life happens to players. They can't stick around simultaneously forever without skipping a beat. The only time you should be worried is if there is a sharp and unrecoverable decline occurring. A literal hemorrhaging of players. OP it sounds to me like you're trying convince everyone and yourself that this is what's happening right now and you feel obligated to pull the fire alarm again like the guy in the previous quarter, and the quarter before that, all the way back to that first guy a week into beta who thought this game was gonna die after he broke his first corpus ship window. Nope, still here and not actually dying. If you're worried that your time invested now is going to be kaput in 10 years, well just quit now and save yourself the grief I guess?
  14. Yes, because it is a non-problem. DE's decision to add another layer to the archon shard system by allowing combination of existing shards indicates to me that they feel enough people are engaging with the system and people have a healthy amount of shards sitting around, both normal and taoforged, to create a couple combo-shards with. Call me naive if you want, but if they truly winged every decision like a handful of people want to believe, this game wouldn't have made it 10 years and going. You can only get so far on luck. How do they know this? Obviously, DE has visibility into the statistics of players interacting with the archon battles, how many total shards have been collected, equipped, left unused, and by color and type. It's a no brainer. They can read these concerns, and then go check their data and decide if that's actually a thing that's happening or not. Remember when they went back and changed stuff like Railjack requirements? Pretty sure it wasn't because they went to the forums and saw the same 10 people who complain about stuff saying "Railjack sucks" to warrant action. Probably looked at their data and realized a very small % of the playerbase actually had railjacks completed or even started. They will go back and fix stuff that is truly messed up. Of course they can't get to it all, but they prioritize what is critical and players just have to accept that sometimes the thing they think is the absolute most critical and important world-altering bug is not as high on the list of concerns as they would like to believe. In my opinion, they will have a far more reliable understanding about the player base and what state this system should be in than people on the forum loosely arguing their point based on the scattered number of people they probably saw complaining about it on the forums. That said, might not be a good idea to call out someone as stupid for making an argument on assumptions when you're in the same boat.
  15. Once again, a non issue. The people who are complaining about the time factor are usually players with the most time on their hands anyways. They will quietly keep farming their shards despite how much they complain on the surface. Players who can only play so often have the pity system to get them their shiny shard in due time. Seeing as how they aren't playing 24/7 to begin with, its unlikely that they functionally need every single frame they own to be a walking tao-shard Christmas tree, beyond loose bragging rights. At the same time, its the irony that folks often complaining about being time-gated from their precious shards are also sometimes the people who are die-hard against the concept of rivens. Yet rivens are something you can roll 24/7 if the effort is put in while shards are not. How would these people not be complaining about shards the same way as rivens if they could infinitely farm them? Giving players unrestricted access would not quell these people's frustrations. It will just lead to the next wave of whatever frustrates them. No consistency in some of the complaining.
  16. Just because you buy a song on Apple Music, doesn't mean you are entitled to it on Spotify, on Amazon Music, on SoundCloud, on Youtube Music, etc. This is not hard to understand. Your beef is not with DE but with the other companies that hold the keys to their respective platforms and marketplaces and the licensing and contracts involved.
  17. Bad hosting is not exclusive to only internet connection. People with absolutely horrendous PC specs or chalk full of spyware or other issues can do worse.
  18. I do not believe rivens need a rework. Especially in the current landscape of all power options we now have available to us. > Rivens are a one-of-a-kind mod; practically an NFT of the mod world. Your own unique personalized power. Rivens give room for flavor to the weapon. Especially if it's a weapon you really like. Rivens and the requirement to roll them will be valued differently by everyone. You might be someone who thinks you need a "Godroll" for it to have value. You might be someone who has mastered that weapon and you need specific stats to work with the limited slot count You might be someone who enjoys experimenting with mechanics people don't usually see at face value and need a special combination of stats to bring your Frankenstein gun to life. Rivens mods are the only mod that can give you more value-per-slot than any other mod and even circumvent sacrificing slots for other things you may have wanted. It's practically a blessing for turning your favorite weapon into your very own personalized version. Even at it's worst (dispo 0.5, cheapo roll), a 'mediocre' riven can still potentially outperform any single mod. It's the one mod you can customize around what arcanes you choose, what helminth skill you subsume, what archon shards you add, or what ever other augmented power choices you make for your warframes. This is why I am always in awe at people who go great lengths to exercise some kind of anti-riven activism. I get people hate rolling rivens, hate farming KUVA, hate playing slot machine, and hate dealing with disappointment. But when haven't games been RNG at every level for the sake of great(er) power? Warframe is literally farming, RNG, and the journey to more power.
  19. It would just drain more energy and would also be prone to overwriting an otherwise higher buff derived from Furious Javelin augment if it was executed prior within a more preferable quantity of enemies. (Example: You run into a crowd of 30 enemies, execute radial javelin, hit over 1000% buff. Suddenly you reflexively slam attack and re-execute javelin and drop down to 200%. Also lose energy.)
  20. And as soon as they start making ONLY one thing like OP wants, OP and others will eventually be back with the follow up post: "Why does DE keep making the same boring stuff?". It has already happened.
  21. OP do you realize that to everyone outside of the EU, you have "bad ping" too? Doesnt matter if you have fiber or Gigabit internet because longer distances across the globe will always account for higher latency.
