  1. Also for the record: The Paracesis is NOT that expensive to build. Except for the eidolon shards (which aren't that hard to get anyway), the other parts can be gotten quite easily if you quit being lazy and just play the bloody game. You want something expensive - try getting the Hema. That's 5000 mutagen samples and a Torid prerequisite just for the clan research, and then when you've met those requirements you need one forma to build it which takes 24 hours to build or 20plat to purchase. I mean honestly, you can get 1000 ducats in less than an hour if you're lucky, and if you're not, it'll take three hours at worst. Galatine doesn't have any prerequisite weapons and the ingredients for building can be acquired very quickly with no luck (it doesn't even require orokin cells lol). And speaking of which, orokin cells are piss easy to get your hands on with about ten minutes of grinding and a little luck.
  2. After looking into discussions on one of my previous topics, I decided on coming up with a new weapon idea altogether, rather than converting an already-existing weapon into something else. It's not very original in any sense, and is basically just a more simplified version of the Tatsu that is more balanced for general gameplay. While it is physically more powerful than the Tatsu, the Kazenobi is much slower and puts more emphasis on critical hits to do damage. While it can still work with status mods, its main damage focus is critical. Naturally, it would work with the Wise Razor stance. "Based on the long-forgotten tools of Orokin executioners during the Old War, the Kazenobi is just as lethal in the heat of combat as it is when delivering cold, bloody retribution." It is more standard in design, resembling the traditional odachi of ancient Japan. More ideas and adjustments are welcome to this topic.
  3. The Tyrant form sounds a bit ambitious but you do seem to have thought this out well. I'd support this idea.
  4. You should check around the Steam Workshop more.
  5. I don't really think of it as mass murder - more like pest control. Grineer are the termites and my gun is the spray wand! xD And yes, that first part was from GTA:SA. Being a pacifist makes you look deep and wise, but it's boring. What fun is life without a little carnage here and there? I'm a believer in balance - too much pacifism makes us weak and passive, but too much malevolence makes us destructive and unreasonable. Life and death must both be a thing. When you think about it, killing things isn't really evil - it's just a psychological inconvenience to our sentimental values. It's a necessary equalizer that plays an important role in the balance of both society and nature. Life cannot exist without death, and peace cannot exist without malevolence. And that's how I turned my own thread from a discussion about autistic players being autistic into the philosophy of killing things being morally neutral.
  6. I mean when people are talking about new features on Warframe and they're talking about the Opticor for example or the Galatine and they're like "that's not a weapon a ninja would use, so why is it in warframe?" Uh maybe because it's just a game, and the devs have never explicitly stated that this was a ninja game! I honestly think players take the whole ninja thing a bit too seriously. THE GAME ISN'T SOLELY ABOUT NINJAS! XD Basically, who gives a ? Most of us didn't start playing Warframe because we love ninjas - many of us either started because our friends were playing the game or because it's fun to shoot and slash things! Stop being so needlessly pernickety and enjoy the game! xD Seriously they could add a pillow for a weapon and I wouldn't mind 😛
  7. Yeah... and looking at it that way I'm starting to come around to that idea. I guess I wasn't as staunch on this idea as I thought I was. Go fig.
  8. Okay well that is a good point. I'm actually hoping that Hitsu's Suprema skin gets released sooner rather than later :P
  9. I kind of have the opposite problem - the challenge was fully visible, but once I completed it, I got nothing!
  10. But I like his current blade storm more - it's more controlled and balanced instead of being just another OP nuke.
  11. Well we do have have the Magnus, though I'm not sure when they plan to make Magnus Prime a thing. I think I have heard in the past though about making "ancient" skins for weapons that basically resemble guns that we have today. But don't quote me on that, because for all I know this might have been a dream or something. Looking back I think (emphasis on the word "think") I once heard about devs wanting to make a skin for pyrana or something that basically resembled a sawn-off shotgun.
  12. I'm definitely willing to admit that my argument is flawed, very flawed actually. If I was so sure they were going to do this, I probably wouldn't have cared enough to make a forum about it! xD But yeah, there is no real evidence, just speculation based on the weapon's shape, concept art, and it's resemblance to the new Maligna skin. Additionally, I know this is a bit more of an aesthetic argument than a pragmatic one, but the thing is that the Paracesis has a wierd, non-symmetrical shape which is very unusual for greatsword weapons in this game. It actually looks more like it was intended to be an odachi-type weapon over a traditional greatsword. I'm probably just using wishful thinking right now though, I could be wrong and it may actually have been intended to be a greatsword all along! This is just my idea, based on opposition to idiots saying that it should be dual-purposed like the Dark Split-Sword. I'm in support of a full conversion rather than making a glitchy multi-purpose weapon. Everything has to have a balance, and we can't keep asking the Devs to add stuff to a decent weapon just because it's not overpowered enough. I think that instead of adding more to the Paracesis than it already has, maybe just change the weapon type to something else.
  13. Seriously? I don't think the Gram is really designed to be swung like a nikana. xD We have to remember that there's quite some differences between a greatsword (Gram) and an odachi (Tatsu). Eitherway, a tad off-topic.
  14. Exactly what it says on the title! I have yet to see a forum dedicated to this matter so I'm going to just put it out there, though I have seen topics that brought it up which inspired me to make this forum! Some people argued that it would frustrate players who already have a heavy-blade build on it and didn't like the Wise Razor stance, while others say it should should be a double-purposed weapon like the Dark Split-Sword (basically, being able to use both heavy blade and 2HN stances). I disagree with both arguments, and think that it should just be converted to a 2-handed nikana like the Tatsu. I've given a few reasons to why the Paracesis should be converted entirely from heavy blade to 2-handed nikana: (1) We have enough heavy blades in the game as it is, with at least three outclassing the Paracesis in terms of stats, even after it reaches rank 40. (2) It was reportedly supposed to be a 2-handed nikana at first, but the problem was that the Devs were still working on the mechanics for this new weapon type. Now that 2HNs are a thing, I think it's time we got something better to put Wise Razor on than the Tatsu. (3) The Paracesis doesn't need to be a heavy blade, and for that matter, it doesn't even look like one. From it's size, it looks more like it should have been a longsword like the Dakra Prime. But then again, it's a bit too big to be that either. (4) Who can deny that it wouldn't look good with the new Maligna skin? It's the perfect motivator to do the Nightwave missions this time! Blue text denotes a submitted reason from comments. THIS THREAD IS FOCUSED ON THE PARACESIS AND 2-HANDED NIKANA WEAPONS. PLEASE LEAVE GREATSWORDS LIKE THE WAR, GRAM, AND GALATINE OUT OF THIS DISCCUSION.
