In my opinion there is almost no scenario under which it is useful.

    • Bless does it better - heals faster, provides damage reduction.
    • EV will freeze a target and kill them at the same time.
    • The limited use case of extending the life of a target to get more energy is not needed in a horde based game where there is no shortage of enemies.
    • the limited use case of Equinox requires excessive coordination, pre-made squad composition, and you've taken two people out of the fight for 8 seconds while they do this little dance.  Almost always some other better way to go about it.
    • The target has to be damaged to provide healing so now you are focusing effort on one target instead of the masses.

It might not be that useful but it's an existing interaction. And well, that's always one more use for the ability right?

  2. It can be used to extend the lifetime of an enemy in order to get more Energy Vampire casts off of him.

You can also use it with an Equinox in a squad. If the Equinox has the Energy Transfer augment it can be used like so:

    - Night form Equinox sleeps a target

    - Trinity casts Well of Life

    - Equinox swaps to Day form, casts Maim and performs a finisher on the target with Well of Life. (keep in mind Trinity's duration has to be at least 5 seconds on the ability)

That way you can accumulate huge damage numbers for Maim, depending on the health of the enemy killed.

    Potentially, there is.

It was coded as immune to weapon damage because DE very clearly wanted this to be something that your Operator had to tackle. Stacking four Shield Disruption might very well, in their eyes, be something they never strictly considered. It would be interesting to see DE's take on this and whether they consider it to be breaking their intended mechanic or not. Shield Disruption is clearly considered to be intended for every other enemy in the game that has a shield, but the Eidolon Teralyst is not guaranteed to be the same.

You aren't DE, and you can't make the final call of whether it can or can't be fixed. Don't presume you can speak for them.

In other news - this may potentially see the Eidolon's shield reworked if DE decide that they don't want Shield Disruption to interfere with it, or it may see DE do nothing because they feel it doesn't impact their special boss enough to warrant a change. Either way, we all always knew the Eidolon was going to turn into another farmable boss, and changing the way Shield Disruption interacts with the Eidolon's shield won't change the fact it's still easy to farm. People that have been farming it since release have already gotten themselves better Amps and are farming it faster than ever, and the shield makes not one whit of difference to that. Whether it gets changed or not, the Eidolon was always going to be farmable from the word go, and the only real thing that they made very obvious was that the Eidolon is not supposed to be a solo job. Aside from that, it's really not that hard of a farm at all.

Fishing is true end game, anyways.

If you actually paid attention to my post, you would have seen that I said: "Once Prime accessory packs give way for new ones"

put yourself in this position: You bought the accessory pack when it came out and you get a pretty neat syandana. Judging by how long prime access is out for, you have 2-3 months bragging rights before it gets put into kiteers inventory.

Why do you assume that everyone who buys the accessory packs/ prime accesses only does that to have bragging rights?
