  1. It's about money and to get money you need as much engagement as possible. The changes suggest that the data DE has and the feedback analysis points towards the likelihood of MORE engagement if the mission was easier/faster. They've been at this for a decade and know how to balance the benefits of more engagement vs possible negative response and whether that attrition can be managed and is worthwhile. Personal opinions are subjective and I happen to agree with the op but that doesn't matter so much. What does matter is that DE constantly chases engagement so that this game survives as a free to play game and if DE thinks taking the risk to make changes like this is beneficial as a business proposition then so be it as I'd like this game to be around for many years to come. I may not like some of the tweaks/changes (like this one and changing the red key to yellow when there are 2 blue ones!) but considering the big picture I can live with it.
  2. Agree with comments it's just plain worse than before no matter what you tweak in the settings. It's not quite Borderlands but it's edging towards that kind of flat matt look. I see you've turned off the horrible atmospherics to make it look crisp and clean like me because they've really gone overboard on that. Understandable I guess as it hints towards realism to mitigate the graphics nerf and it's a new toy but being foggy everywhere even indoors is not for me. As an aside just look at the Soulframe demonstrations every frame is a pea-souper but I suppose it is a swamp land sooooo ok I guess but they definitely like promoting the new lighting system. I noticed they have been very careful not to use language suggesting it's 'better' or an 'improvement' which is clever and suggests even they don't think it's better! As with changes that happen when no-one is asking for them (cough void-dash RIP) I suspect there's always a solid technical reason behind these unfortunate changes probably due to preparation for ambitious changes planned in the future which isn't a bad thing all-told and it would be dumb PR to announce a 'nerf' and then 'promise jam' in the future. Anyway it's here to stay there's no significant backlash so we'll just have to move on and who knows perhaps they CAN make it look better but one thing is certain, in my mind and in it's current state no amount of marketing-spiel or white knight commentors will persuade me that it looks better than before.
  3. Not a fan of the new lighting we now have a choice of Borderlands or Borderlands with fog!
  4. Just got a melee vortex in a netracel mission..
  5. For Disruption couldn't you make one of the blue ones yellow? The red one is fine.
  6. I think we all go through a phase of doing them because it's something different to do. I rarely ever used any of the buffed frames or weapons though and stuck with my favourite loadouts. I do look at it occasionally on the off-chance you get a 'good' frame. I remember a few funny times when someone would be getting annoyed in chat for not getting res'd immediately after going down because they didn't understand the res' mechanic. Trying to explain that while staying alive was tricky/risky. I always thought it was a pity that the person who was down had no idea how many of those 'stars' (forget what they're called) had been collected.
  7. Very common issue been happening for years. We've learned it means you hit the mob cap. Hop into the derelict or side missions kill some mobs and ships will spawn outside. Should the mobs inside be de-spawning automatically to prevent this? yes but DE are aware it must be hard to do or something. Try to kill all or most of the ships first and this won't happen. GLHF.
  8. I agree with the OP let people abandon a Lich if they want don't punish them for hours because they made a simple mistake.
  9. I was just suggesting a more accurate description of this so called 'accolade.' A '10 year supporter' sounds amazing and implies you've supported something for 10 whole years but with these packs it only shows you were around in year 10 so this 'accolade' only proves you were around in the 10th year. Then there's the use of the word 'accolade' itself which suggests you actually received an award to acknowledge this amazing achievement when really you just bought it yourself like some dodgy college degree. So you see I'm on your side here. 'Heirloom' is another example of misleading wording as it's something you are normally handed down for free not something you have to buy but I digress.
  10. 10 Year Supporter Accolade 10th year supporter badge - Fixed
  11. Meanwhile Rockstar celebrates their 10 year anniversary of GTA 5 by giving away clothing, weapon finishes and other bonuses to their community for free!
  12. Bullet jumping is awesome we took a hit when they downgraded void dash into void sling but the Warframe movement system still has the edge over other similar games. Such a pity that Railjack never caught on I think if travelling to and landing in the open worlds had been somehow implemented it would have been more successful. With a lack of popularity I guess there just wasn't enough willing participants for everyone to have their own Railjack so DE turned it into a community bus with a 25% chance of being designated driver and adding a 'join ANY game' button on the space map to help people find a squad. I was hoping for some kind of integration of Railjack into Duviri because you do occasionally see a Wyrm flying alongside the Railjack when warping into a mission.
  13. Just make all the reactant already dropped visible to the late-joiner even if the reactant is miles away, make the range infinite not just locally to where they just spawned in. Bonus points for DE if they also include already discovered areas on the map overlay so the late joiner can more easily navigate to that far away reactant.
  14. Bold move disrespecting the whales who help keep the lights on and the game free for the rest of us. These angels with deep pockets god bless ‘em deserve to be treated fairly. Please provide something substantial to keep them around I’d rather not have to pay a subscription because they all left the relay!
  15. I don't know whether to be sad because people actually paying ungodly amounts for trivial items sets the bar too high for us ordinary folks who can't afford such luxuries or happy because these whales are keeping the game alive and free to play for us. Confusing times.
  16. Railjack was awesome at launch but someone said it was hard !!! This tragically gained traction and sadly Railjack was turned into a community bus with just a 25% chance that you will be the nominated driver plus the difficulty was nerfed into oblivion. Maybe they had to do that because of lack of engagement dunno.. Anyway even if you are lucky enough to be chosen one you'll lose that spot and your dome charges if someone wants to go back to dry dock because they think they lose everything by hopping out and you can't blame them because they'll be faced with an empty rewards screen! I still love it though despite all the quirks and features and yeah I play it a lot. I like the chaos of jumping into a public match and 'going where needed' you can make a huge difference if it's a group of people who are reluctantly doing it (and badly) because they need the drops especially if they have a rubbish ship and constant boarding parties :). So there's a real sense of adding value. You're also chasing that very rare occasion where the stars are aligned and for a precious hour or so 4 strangers come together and everyone magically knows what they're doing, cracking Axi relics in void Veil skirmishes in under 4 minutes! - it's a beautiful thing. It's also a rewarding challenge as a pilot having to do many things at once knowing where your crew is while you kill all the fighters, line up crew ships dealing with any shields for the big-gun guy, fending off boarding parties and knowing which radiator will be popping up next and being there when it does saving the POI guys the hassle of having to do it solo, managing who needs reactant if they arrived late, who needs to do the derelict if there is one etc. it's a fantastic challenge and not a simple matter of navigating a familiar procedurally generated tileset, instead each Railjack mission is massively different from the last one. Solo is just too slow unfortunately you can't rely on your autopilot hitting all the radiators no matter how well trained they are. They often somewhat cruelly only manage to hit them when you return to the ship!! There have been a couple of attempts at fixing this but the amount of work needed for a proper fix must be be too much commitment for them given the engagement levels so I think it's low on their to-do list. That's my experience on PC anyway maybe it's better on other platforms. Top tip if you find there are no ships left to shoot at the end of the mission it just means you've hit the mob cap; hop into a side mission/derelict, kill some mobs and ships will then spawn. It's not a bug.. well kinda, but not. Fly safe Tenno :)
  17. Making an item or two rare on a big update is a good way to hold back the avalanche of hungry beavers so the new content isn't consumed over just a few days. After a couple of weeks I wouldn't be surprised to see items like Pathos Clamps become a little bit easier to get.
  18. I always hoped the railjack would replace the orbiter using the upper deck of the railjack for the orbiter's interaction panels with all the rooms at the back of the orbiter moved to the dojo. The orbiter must be very confusing for new players when we now have a railjack to fly around in. You have this orbiter that you can't fly but somehow magically gets to planets when you start a mission and the ship you can fly (railjack) is connected above the orbiter via a tube for some reason! then there's a dropship which you also can't fly but you need it to go down to planets for missions and you also need it to access relay stations (arrival animation) but there's also a railjack dock at relay stations now so.. and where is it stored anyway? there's no sign of it in the orbiter, no hanger for it or even a separate tube! 3 different ships but you can only fly one of them, all very confusing. The dormizone is an extra home/base/location that doesn't need to exist. I'd be happy with a drastic simplification overhaul and would detail my plan for this but realise it wouldn't get off the ground because such an upheaval would cause too much controversy.
  19. Quick PSA - shrines still not all dropping (tested 3 missions) and no loot or chest rewards when leaving experience or killing the worm just intrinsics.
  20. I've lost hours of time and loot in this update I don't my a few bugs but this one has been painful edit: also the target not showing up bug is still present in the experience, come on guys this is killing me
