I’m guessing they did the cross save only recently, when it reopened in January.

I did my cross save in December.

    My process is as follows

    1. Sign out from the forums. If you get "Something went wrong. Please try again", then hit sign out again.
    2. You should be redirected to https://www.warframe.com/ after signing out. Clear site data and cookies from both https://forums.warframe.com and https://www.warframe.com/
    3. Login from https://www.warframe.com/, not https://forums.warframe.com, using the desired platform portal.
    4. Now when you go to https://forums.warframe.com, you should be logged in with the platform used in step 3.

It works consistently for me right now.

  2. Have you tried clearing site data and cookies for both https://forums.warframe.com and https://www.warframe.com? I can login to both my console account and PC account by choosing the appropriate portal after doing so. For a while, the forums would send me to my PC account regardless of login method, but clearing site data and cookies seems to have fixed that (for now).

Alternatively, try swapping to different browser (basically the same as clearing site data and cookies).

  3. There's only 2 worth considering, 3 if you squint.

    1. Discipline's Merit
      1. Consistency booster
    2. Opportunity's Reach
      1. +Range and more generous window to use your free heavy.
    3. Condition's Perfect
      1. Melee doesn't have great +status chance outside of Weeping Wounds, so it's useful if you don't want to run a combo build I guess? Really borderline here

Somebody has brought it up before.  Probably @(XBOX)TheWayOfWisdom or

I don't remember where I said it, but yea. I "discovered" it late June this year. Fun fact! Eximus get to triple dip for 15.625x shields in addition to their modified scaling formula.

The dipping bug has likely been a thing from the Introduction of Steel Path as far as I can tell from old footage.
This video from ~3 months after SP's launch gives figures that line up with the shield modifier double dipping.

Some context before I explain the damage numbers matching:
The shield damage number (i.e the blue number) on hit that kills a shielded enemy shows the total damage done over both health and shield (then modified by shield's damage type modifiers, but that's not relevant here). So that blue number is the total health and shield damage done.
Tesla Bank had a bug with Limbo that made it discharge instantly when an enemy entered the Rift, dealing lethal damage.

At 0:44 a level 104 Elite Crewman (you can tell the level by the 367 affinity popup after it dies) takes approximately 74k shield damage.
    A level 104 Elite Crewman has ~15,338 health and ~59,202 shield with the dipping bug. 15,338 + 59,202 = ~74k

Just one tauforged shard will give +3 proc cap, which is 100% armor strip.

You need +4 proc cap to get 100% armor strip with Corrosive. 26% for the first proc and 6% for each subsequent means you need 26% x 1+ 6% x (9 + 4) to get 100% armor strip.
    +3 proc cap would only get you to 26% x 1+ 6% x (9 + 3) = 98% armor strip.

  6. Devstream 175 introduces 3 new archon shard colors, formed by combining two archon shards. This MASSIVELY exacerbates the issue already present of shards being extremely time limited. Now you need up to 10 shards per frame. To add insult to injury, you get tauforged versions only by combining tauforged shards.

  7. It refers to forcing a particular mixer and drone spawn, done by going to particular locations before the mixer (go to Cetus gate) and drone (go to Africa). The location you go to force the drone spawn is near an potential Teralyst spawn called Africa by Eidolon hunters (Can't recall why, likely related to it being very far from Cetus and being a "bad" Teralyst spawn). So the name got co-opted, hence the name "Africa method".

If you shoot the enemy directly you will proc those 2 to 3 impact procs from the radial as well but now there are also another 2 to 3 impact procs from the projectile making contact that are NOT forced, because they occur only sometimes.

Except the direct hit does have forced Impact procs. You can literally see the direct hit attempting to proc Impact on certain status immune enemies.

Me too, but I'd like to hear from somebody who's Icarnononanated something other than Strun Prime.

Strun Wraith Incarnon has a forced Impact Proc on direct hit and AoE.

  9. Bronco, Despair, Gammacor, Kunai, Lato, Vasto, and Zylok all have very low Incarnon ammo max

    1. Bronco - 20 shots, each pellet only charges 0.5 Incarnon ammo resulting in very slow charging, exacerbated by its wide spread. Dual Toxocyst gets 270 Incarnon Ammo Max and 30 charges/pellet while sharing the same gimmick. Bronco could be buffed to 40 Incarnon Ammo Max and 1 charge/pellet.
    2. Despair - 20 shots. We have much stronger AoE Incarnon primaries (Braton, Latron, Strun) that get 40+ Incarnon ammo max. Despair could reasonably be buffed to have 40 Incarnon ammo max. The embed delay also feels awkward. I'd rather just have them explode immediately.
    3. Gammacor - 15 shots. Again we have much stronger AoE Incarnon primaries that get much higher ammo max. Ammo max could increased to 30 easily.
    4. Kunai - 20 shots. Angstrum gets to have a similar gimmick (arguably better thanks to ricochet), but 6x the ammo. The Incarnon ammo max could could reasonably be buffed to 60.
    5. Lato - 24 shots. Similar case to Bronco. Incarnon Ammo Max could be buffed to 50.
    6. Vasto - 24 shots. 36 shots would feel better (6 bursts for the six-shooter).
    7. Zylok - 12 shots, only charges 1 shot/pellet. Again, we have much stronger AoE Incarnon primaries (Braton, Latron, Strun) that get 40+ Incarnon ammo max, with better charge rates. Zylok also suffers from excessively slow fire rate, compounded by being a charge weapon. Removing the charge mechanic (like you did with Gorgon) would be a large improvement.

  10. Gonna use these as reference

Disclaimer that this is how I understand it.

Currently on PC you have 4 options. In order of price:

    1. Weapons + 1050p pack for $50
    2. Prime Accessories + 2 x 90 day boosters for $50
    3. Frame + Weapons + Glyphs + 2625p for $80
    4. Frame + Weapons + Glyphs + Prime Accessories + 2 x 90 day boosters + 3990p for $140

On Console, you have 2 options:

    1. Prime Accessories + 2 x 90 day boosters + 1365p for $60
    2. Frame + Weapons + Glyphs + 2625p for $80

What is going to happen is that PC's #4 is going to be added to consoles, and PC's #2 will have its price raised to match console's #1. More stuff will be added to compensate for the price increase.
    PC's #1 will be retired.

I can't say I agree. For example, enough players had trouble with the Angels of the Zariman quest that the level needed to be dropped after only one day. And those were players who had to play the game to get there, who would have had all of the gear requirements met!

No, they had met the direct quest requirements, not necessarily the implicit gear "requirements". For example: You can play the Sacrifice with without a "real" amp iirc, but you're going to have a hard time doing it. Having an upgraded amp is an implicit requirement there.

    16 minutes ago, PublikDomain said:

A player that could pay to skip to that point will be even less prepared, even if they are given all of the same gear.

There's not much to prepare for except get better gear. If you're given a sufficiently good package of mods + weapons (I tried Stradavar + Akstiletto with basic damage + multishot, and 2x elementals), auto install can handle it well enough for the expected content level. The fundamentals of playing aren't complex either. Half the game is "kill this goon". Parkour isn't required at all effectively, it's only so you go faster.

    29 minutes ago, PublikDomain said:

Being handed a pile of stuff you haven't been taught isn't going to magically teach someone how to mod or which mods are important. Improving the NPE's modding tutorial would.

Yes, DE should add a better tutorial for that. You can do that alongside story skip though. It certainly helps to have those mods and the ability to rank them up immediately, just like this pack would potentially provide.

    26 minutes ago, PublikDomain said:

I'm not sure how you envision the pay to skip working? You pay money, get a bunch of stuff checked off, but still can't play the new content because a bunch of junctions and timegates are still in the way?

Whispers presumably requires access to Deimos, which only requires 2 Junctions with pretty mild requirements, neither of which have a timegate. With decent gear, it would be trivial to do quickly.

Because grinding for it implies actually playing the game. A player that's played 20 hours to reach the new quest will have 20 more hours of experience and knowledge and skill and resources than the player who played 0 hours and paid to reach the new quest.

I'll say that this experience doesn't really make a noticeable difference, as it's not going to where it matters. The battle is won in the arsenal, not the field. What makes "hard" content challenging is mostly the gear requirement, not direct player "skill". Grinding 20 hours for those 10 core mods, or new frame, or new gun doesn't make you better at applying them. If anything, the opposite is true. Having immediate access to them allows you to actually use and experiment with them.

    7 minutes ago, PublikDomain said:

Skipping the early areas where the game is more forgiving won't help get players engaged and prepared.

You still have junction requirements. The post doesn't say they would be skipped.

I also have doubts that enough content could be included to actually prepare a new player for the bleeding edge of content.

I hang around the modding advice channels of the Warframe Discords a lot. So I'll say that "playing the game" doesn't prepare them or let them know how modding works either. The mechanical skill (which WF doesn't require most of the time) when required is extremely low, so that's not a major concern.

Also how does buying a gun or frame vs grinding them suddenly make you know how to use them better? How to use a Braton effectively is the same as a Kuva Hind. if all you've used is Excalibur, Rhino is going to be a shakeup regardless of whether I paid the 200p for him from the market or ran Jackal 10 times.

Provide value in this pack by giving gear that would be earned in the course of play so they are ‘ready’ for content at a given level range

Warframe's core concept is power progression and the story, giving new players a way to completely get to endgame where they are either going to be carried or complain that "game too hard"

To what endgame? Most of the "hard" content would still locked behind completing the entire starchart. The story skip pack would also have gear that enables them to be ready for the more difficult content.

and once again we might get DE dumbing down the game. I've had countless friends drop the game once they saw the quest wall, but if a skip were to be added i wouldn't enjoy having to explain every single system/mechanic up to that point because they decided they were lazy and now other players have to carry their ass.

Most gamemodes that would be covered by story quests aren't mechanically complex. The worst offenders would be the Zariman modes, but even those aren't complex.

It may appear so, but console players have the advantage of being able to purchase in-game items from lower-priced regions without facing any penalties. On the other hand, PC players are restricted from enjoying the same benefits.

Moreover, Digital Extremes (DE) has a more lenient account management policy for console players. They have the freedom to convert their in-game platinum currency into real-world currency at any time.

Tell me you don't know consoles work without telling me you don't know how consoles work. Or PC for that matter. Please direct me to where I can cash all my plat out in a legally approved manner for USD.

You'll put a 500k Heat dot on a demolyst, try to double it with Thermal Sunder... and get a completely irrelevant 2000 damage.

Sunder never doubled heat procs when used against demolishers. That the infused version has diminished effectiveness as an expedite suffering for Heat procs is regrettable but in the end incosequential. Easy enough to shift to the effectively equivalent Sickening Pulse.

  18. So as a general rule, modded punch through doesn't work on AoE (undocumented change from like 1(?) year ago). So punch through does not work on Torid at all, even the Incarnon form.

    42 minutes ago, Zakalwe said:

I'm a bit confused why I seem to be seeing 11 beams total with 0 mods, and any info on punch through would be great. Thanks!

Torid Incarnon's beam has an AoE on the end, which can create a new 5 chain tree for each enemy the AoE hits (downside is the AoE and chains from it don't benefit from multishot)
