  1. RE: Sniper rework

    I am interested to see how this plays out, either it sounds nice or bad on paper, in game could be an entirely different story.

    My suggestion for sniper rework is have them interact with enemies differently instead of bandaiding mechanics on top to make them more appealing. The suggested rework atm seems to be good for solo/spy/stealth play. But feels rather lacking when it comes to group play.


    (My philosophy)
    In groups, snipers with their low ammo capacity,  should be used for taking down big threat units. They should be used only when a high value target appears or a heavy units or an eximus or a nullifier, and the other times sniper frames should be using secondary/melee to conserve ammo and not waste it on smaller enemies that spawn by the thousands. I think this is kind of the group dynamic snipers need to be in. Maybe have them deal double damage by default to eximus/boss/high value targets. Be able to pierce nullifier shield (Makes having a sniper in those high end missions worth having but not absolutely needed). and punch throw smaller targets? (coding problems?) have some more supportive perks that makes a group want one in their missions.

    I think the solo/stealth philosophy of snipers being perched high up somewhere and shooting from a distance (how a real sniper irl works) isnt unreasonable, but in group play, in the scope of the current game and its mission tilesets, that is really hard to achieve if not impossible.

    My philosophy is really just making sniper frames seem more like a legolas type role but differentiate the weapon from an actual bow and arrow.

  2. One would think it'd be common sense to know that this is not okay. I don't think there's much you can do right now though. If you do get end up getting banned and hadn't done anything wrong other than making those offers that never went down, you're gonna have to contact support I suppose.

    I play alot of games where trading items between other games isnt banneable, like i said before i didnt really think twice about it.

    I recognize its not allowed now. Just hoping I dont get banned :S

  3. So I didnt know this wasnt allowed and i saw quite alot of people doing it in trade channel over the years i played this game and didnt think twice about it. So today I posted in trade for this first time and was told by someone after posting the trade over a few hours that its apparently banneable?

    Didnt actually make any trades today for said items and obviously wont make anymore in the future.

    Just a bit worried I got reported and will recieve an incoming ban soon Q.Q What do I do?

  4. he clasps his hands together and forms the sword like that. atleast that's how it looked to me. but the sword outta the ground thing seems like it'd take too long and would require a natural talent just to speed it up

    Yeah i know the animation, its kind of something we see from like anime/cartoon.

    We could add a mini stun/blind to the effect.

    Enemies are so stunned from watching the one that pulled out the excalibur that they cannot react or get blinded by the light of the occurance :D EPIC!

    We all saw the animations for activating his ulti on the dev stream. But i was chatting with someone in warframe and he brought up an interesting idea.

    His name is Excalibur, why not have his ultimate activate with him pulling the energy sword out of the floor instead of pulling it out of the air.

    It fits his name origin and has a higher coolness factor :)

    Anyone else agree?

  6. Well we should keep this thread bumped and visible if everyone is on the same page as I.

     

    But yes they feel like "Elite Mobs" more than "Bosses".

    I mean when your undergeared the bosses are somewhat difficult. but they should not get outclassed that quickly once u get decent gear. So intuitive bosses that wont get outscaled by players gear for late game :)

  7. Bosses. They are a bit easy, almost all of them can be zerged down really quickly. They need different mechanics and abilities that prove a challenge to a player.

    Are there thoughts about making bosses abit more challenging, having these named mobs that strike as a huge threat to the Tenno and then end up being giant push overs have been disappointing to me.

     

    I am a pretty big gamer and have been spoilt to think bosses should be difficulty and gut wrenching at times to make taking them down give off that epic feeling of accomplishment.

     

    Anyone else have thoughts/opinions on bosses currently?

    Should they be more difficult besides your general stomp the ground knock-down aoe spells?

     

    Is damage the only way to down a boss or can other objectives during a boss fight determine if you succeed or not?

     

     

     

    Some suggestions i can offer are:

    1. A damage immune boss, no spells/melee/guns work on him and the way to down him is to destroy energy pylons that power his shields/armor/whatever. While being swarmed by enemies.

     

    2. A time limit boss, has X amount of hp(Increased/decreased depending on number of people in the group to allow soloing) and the group have a time limit to take the boss down before he "Runs away" or "Escapes".

     

    3. Multiple Bosses, 2 or more bosses with 'shared' health and each boss has different fatal abilities we have to watch out for.

     

    4. Boss that disallows the use of Guns via...some ability so you can only use Melee weapons to take him down.


    Im not sure if this is addressed in the past but i didnt see any one ask this during livestream 5 so thought id throw it out there.

     

     

     

     

  8. I personally have no problem paying for games i enjoy.

    It is on a equivilent basis as buying a beer over the weekend. I may not of even liked the beer, i may not of even drunk the beer and it might not even be for me. Or maybe a sandwhich or a meal you truely disliked, maybe a bet you placed at the casino. Think of all the money we have wasted that does not even bother us abit in hindsight but when it comes to paying for stuff on the internet we are all very hermit about it.

    Why do people squibble over a few dollars when the game is already FREE to play? Theres always the argeument where people say "I already got the game, why do i have to pay more to use it and enjoy it?" This is the case with your car, your house, your appliances (electricty and repair) your computer, your xbox/playstation. These all require money AFTER you have bought it.

  9. Just a few suggestions to make Ember abit more viable for all types of factions.

     

    Fireball

    Make Fireball do more damage on impact OR burn, in addition to ignoring Armor/Resistances.
    Currently this does a pitiful amount of damage to be spammed or used late game, even early/mid game i find little use for it over my gun/melee weapon. Compared to Excalibur that deals more damage to a single target and increased damage against infested and moa, ontop of which ignores enemy armor/resistances.

     

     

    Overheat - Im okay with this ability in all honesty, Ember doesnt sound like a tank Warframe like Rhino does so there should be some distinguishing difference. She is described as a AOE specialist, much like a Fire Mage would be like in a RPG game. They have amazing offensive capabilities but lack survival. This spell is your o-S#&$ button. Not a god-mode button.

    We dont want all warframes to end up doing exactly the same thing as each other but with different graphical affect. Class homogenizing is something that ruins most games, i rather not see it happen to this.

     

    Fire Blast - Love the spell, probably the most useful spell for the Warframe. But i think it can do with some improving.
    My suggestions are to make the ring do damage if you stand in it aswell as passing/walking through it. Currently i dont see this spell doing damage to mobs/creeps that stand ontop of the ring, would it be too overpowered to include this feature into the spell?

     

    Aswell make the Blast a ring of fire that expands out quickly from the Warframe to a maximum radius of 10meters, rather than having it start at 10 meters. Helps clears creeps that have already swarmed you rather than only doing damage to those coming towards you.

     

     

    World of Fire - Not going to spend much time with this cause i know you DEs are working on this, but it needs to turn tides in a fight :).

     

     

     

     

    Overall I like this Warframe, was my second warframe choice but i was severely disappointed at its lack of scaling into the late planets.
    My general impression of this warframe is that of an AoE Warframe, using overheat only when its needed against a swarm of enemies that you need to take out quickly with an arsenal of fire spells.
    However it becomes counter intuitive when your spells are only decent when your in melee range (Effective against 1/3 factions) have bad scaling, andnot cost effective against Ancients/Bosses

     

    And suppose that you guys WILL bring out new planets and new solar systems, which evidently would be harder than what we have currently, how will Ember stack against these new places?
