I know someone earlier in the thread touched on this and I will try to remember what they said as best i can. Basically, the old UI code was all kinds of crazy and having both UIs running at one time will not be cost effective for DE (most likely the conflicting code will cause tons of bugs as well and we dont want that). So instead of continually pushing for this, we should make suggestions on how to improve the new UI.

Since that person does not work for DE they have no way of knowing . The old UI navigation was absolutely fine.  It was quick, easy to navigate and focused on console . This new one is focused on keyboard and mouse navigation and is absolutely horrendous for controllers . Having the two simultaneously for people to choose from is absolutely possible if having 3 types of archwing controls is possible .

But it isn't, the sooner you accept that the sooner you can actually provide useful feedback, because this is a done deal now. Just like the UI changes were is U14 that the PC users railed against.

Doesn't matter what i think, it's not for me either. It's for DE, they need to de-cruft thair ui codebase and this is the interim result, you need to provide feedback on what you have (that isn't just "undo it") or accept you're not part of the discussion. Same as what happened to PC users circa U14

As you can see. We are 11 pages deep and no one likes it . I repeat my point . You play on PC so you don't know how it is right now for us console players . Controllers were not designed to function this way . It' awkward, clunky and breaks a lot of UX rules with redundant buttons etc etc.  For example to just change a weapon or warframe, you need to navigate with the left stick, select equip. Scroll with the right stick and navigate with the left then double click on what you want. With old, press A navigate with left stick, click on what you want once . See the problem here ? It takes double the  button presses and it's clunky and awkward as all hell . For you PC guys this is simple because moving the mouse around moves the cursor . It comes naturally .

You wouldn't know whether they succeeded or failed because the unification is for their development benefit, not yours.

Controller UI is why you play on a console? Seems like hyperbole to me.

It actually should be for our benefit because we play the game. We use the UI . Also controller UI isn't why I play on console but I sure as hell don't want to play using PC navigation on a console . It's just plain bad for console users.  You are a PC user so you may find it easy to use or natural. To us it' anything but easy and natural

The point of this update was to unify the messy UI codebase which was essentially two UI's, one for controllers and one for mouse and keyboard. There is no way at all that DE are going to go back to a split codebase, this is pure money talking here, it's just not going to happen so I suggest specific feedback to improve what you have, it's not going away.

If this is what they set out to do, they failed . The UI is mostly PC now on all platforms . If I wanted a cursor and drag and drop functions, I would be playing on PC not console

  5. I feel like this was a completely unnecessary change. The old navigation was fine, fast to navigate and didn't have too many redundant button presses. I've played around with this for a while and I can say it's the exact opposite . Twice as many button presses, slow to navigate and got rid of many small quality changes like being able to rotate your warframe with the cursor having to be away from a menu screen while customizing , using X,Y,B,A to go straight to the upgrade, customize, appearance and abilities screen respectively .  A good UI should be fast and easy to navigate and honestly this whole thing is anything but that, a straight downgrade.  If it ain't broke, don't fix it. If there's someone out there who likes this, let them keep it but please give us the option to go back to the old one

  6. Xbox has a similar feature called looking for group built into all games where you can go to a games hub and see a list of people wanting to group up for specific activities. would be awesome to see it built into warframe itself for ease of access and so all other platforms can enjoy as well

My god man, what stream? who said it? Do you have an actual quote? IF you don't have any actual proof then this is nothing more than a gross overreaction.

last devstream when onslaught was being shown off scott said they were gonna address adaro.

Doesn't even make sense because people aren't using any exploits to farm focus in there. they merely use the tools given to them by the game .

Like your post. Because twice in one sentence? Seems like you should pull in the reigns and QA your posts.

The irony of how this entire post is talking about things being rushed is just so awesome considering the subject can't even be spelled correctly.

Please guys, keep complaining, I have not laughed this hard in days..

what even does this mean ?  like what are you on about ?

  9. It was definitely rushed but it's because there's been a content drought because DE has been focusing all their attention on the plains and ignoring the rest of the game and now they're scrambling to finish both the sacrifice and the venus landscape . what they need to do is pull back on the reigns a bit and slow down . work on fixing onslaught and then going back to working on other things

More seriously, when did being a "veteran" translate into DE being your servants, here to cater only to you and your definition of what content should be? I must have missed that rule.

Oh wait. If it's about how big your "veteran" badge is... mine's bigger. Literally one weapon not mastered out of over 400, over 2k hours playtime. And these joke mods are my favorite part of the update. I can't wait to start shooting enemies full of flowers, because I'm so far past needing to care about efficiency, and I've spent so many hours doing exactly what Rebecca said - making my gear so good I can do whatever I want, including replacing a mod with a joke item, and still win - that this is my biggest motivation to keep playing. Getting to meme harder.

Thanks, DE. I'll be sure to have my flower mods on all the time.

No on is implying that though. people are just miffed that this entire thing was supposed to draw veterans back to the game. it was said again and again that it was gonna be for veterans with some cool rewards and it turns out one of the confirmed rewards is just a big joke ? seriously ? of course people are gonna be less than happy . now you can love these mods sure, that's your right but don't expect everyone else to be all sunshine and rainbows about it
