I kind of got the impression that was an Apple 2 or 3 homage given the composite artifacting on the little necramech display animation, and the interface reminded me a lot of GEOS rather than Windows. I can totally see Albrecht being a hipster like that. Or he was being a cheapskate and bought palette loads of outdated Apple 2s and 3s that were being thrown away, using the money he saved to buy extra JoJo hats and expensive coffee.
