  2. Operator: Aridum Mise

    Race: Orokin

Warframe: Harrow and Oberon (For they support their teammates and rather slay their prey with pride than to mindlessly kill them like a berserker)

Weapons Sybaris Prime (For its elegance and accuracy, Aridum will never miss) AK-Stilettos Prime (Aridum always favored dual pistols, these just sweetened the deal) Silva & Aegis Prime (The balance between offense and defense)

Focus School: Officially, Aridum was a student of Zenurik. Working in the shadows at some points, yet taking foes head-on sometimes. But Aridum does not let this define him. He has dabbled in all schools of The Tenno so he will truly be able to dominate the enemy.

Bio: Aridum was a simple boy of the Orokin Empire. He got straight As during school, took martial arts, and dabbled on the mandachord sometimes. His mother, a smart and caring engineer, and father, a bio-engineer, were quite proud of their only child. So very proud

When of the few things I don't remember for days old was how I and my family embarked upon The Zariman Ten-Zero.But I am sure you are aware of what happened upon that ship, the transformation, the twisting... the bloodshed... I will speak no more of the subject.

I wanted to make my mother and father proud, that is all. I wanted to live a normal a pleasing life. In the many months of questions, experiments, and therapy I fell into a deep hole of depression and grief. And then Margulis found me, she found all of us. She introduced me to the ways Zenurik. She was smart and caring... like his mother, his real mother. He wanted to make her proud. He learned the way of Zenurik to ultimate completion and dipped in each other schools but never fully completed them. After that, he became one of the quickest to ever master transference and the ways of his 2 warframes Harrow and Oberon. He made his Empire proud, and most importantly, he made Margulis proud.

The Old War, as we call it nowadays, was at its hight! The Sentient have taken the majority of The Origin System, and they were simply swarming over the gas planets. We didn't have as much defense as the rockies. Millions of Tenno have given their Warframes for this war, The Orokin were throwing us like darts hoping one of us got a bullseye. They didn't care about us. Still, we did our duty. We took back several Solar Rails, we saved billions and drove The Sentient to The Moon, and that was that. We served our duty, time to die.

The Seven feared us, they feared the power we wield. We could've overthrown The Empire at any time, but we didn't. We died for them, instead of with a ceremony they "protect" themselves from us stabbing them in the back by stabbing us in the back. They almost shut the entire Warframe project down. They probably did, I'm not sure. The last thing I remember of old is me in my cradle, almost ready to enter transference. She was making a few cradle modifications, the computer screen listed a few lines of code behind her. "Good night, my sweet angel." The cradle doors started to close, she smiled. But not a truly happy smile, the kind of smiles you use to hide the tears behind your face when you truly love someone. When you love someone enough to lie to their own face. The Cradle Doors closed, I grew colder and colder... and colder... and that's where now begins.

I later figured out what happened while I was in The Second Dream. What happened to Margulis, how The Lotus lied to us after all this time, The Grineer Queens and their Continuity... I know it all! But there is still much to be learned. I have finished learning the way of all 5 Schools. I have mastered my 2 warframes and weapons. Now it's time for me to find my own answers.I do not make The Lotus proud, not my tenno brothers, not my parents, not even Margulis... I make myself proud. I make Aridum Mise proud.

  3. My friend turned into a ghost.

After 20 or so minutes in the Kuva Fortress Survival, my friend was playing Titania and randomly he said that he was stuck in a room because he couldn't open doors. All I could see was his bullet jumping into the wall. I could see all the action he was doing, but they weren't having any effect. So after a few minutes, he used his 5 and was back in the... "physical plane. A few seconds later it happened again. Basically, he was a ghost for a few minutes. (T-T)

  4. On August 23rd, 2016, Nekros Prime was released on PC. With that, you could find his parts and blueprint in relics. Axi N3 held The Nekros Prime blueprint as a rare drop but was later tossed into the vault. So it was replaced with Meso N3, a relic that you can obtain as of April 17th, 2017. The Warframe Wikia does not hold such information but the warframe codex does hold the drop locations of said relic;

I go to Titan all the time to level up weapons or to just have fun killing things. So how come in the last 2 months since Meso N3 has existed in-game, I haven't gotten 1! I am honestly starting to think that such a drop I bugged. I want my Nekros Prime DE. Comment if you have the same or similar problem.

  5. When I heard about Nidus, I thought he was going to be and ok frame. Now I'm starting to feel like that Nidus came up to me and said: "You underestimate my power." (Star Wars reference)

First of all, "snowballing" is a UNDERSTATEMENT! Blizzard or avalanche comes closer. Once I get max stacks, I can make high-level corrupted enemies non-assistant! Second. that self-healing is great, especially with parasitic link and standing on Ravenous grass. 3rd... I have to try really, really hard to kill myself. And when I say really really... I mean void enemies standing all around me shooting and me standing there with 90 more stacks to go! This is ridiculous. This makes Inaros look like a sad sand pit. Nidus is easily the best new Warframe of 2016. I'd say that Inaros in 2nd, and Titania in 3rd. But that's my opinion.

Nidus is the most scalable warframe in this game. And also now my new favorite warframe. AND also the definition of OP.... WTF!?

I give Nidus 9.5 tumors out of 10. (He's still got a few bugs [get it... no?])

But I also give The Glast Gambit Quest 6 Index Points out of 10. (It was a good story line, but playing in The Index was so annoying!)

And I give the new Infested Salvage game mode 4 antiserums out of 10. (Interesting concept but need to be refined some more. Also, can you up the drop rate for the antiserum!? And reduce the requirement of mutagen samples for the Hema... it's ridiculous!)

  6. We have all experienced this in our Warframe careers. You are in an easy survival mission, you're trying to make your way to 1 hour, and for some reason, you have it on public. Everyone agrees to go an hour except for that one guy. "The guy who just started to play Warframe 20 minutes ago" guy. "The guy who keeps forgetting how to switch weapons" guy. "The guy who keeps spamming the life support tower when you're only missing 25%!" guy. You keep telling this guy that we need to preserve life support but he's in the groove. Hacking and slashing the enemies. He's not gonna look at the bottom left the corner for no reason. You can't stop him and he's gonna keep spamming the towers thinking he's doing the right thing because he couldn't just take a second to press "T"!

Once minimized the chat window is very hard to take notice of. The point of public it to have a team to rely on and communicate with. Yes, we have microphones but most people mute those in-game or don't use them at all. Therefore we use the chat, but no one really pays attention to the chat, so they just keep on slashing. Overlooking the chat can easily be fixed by just putting some kind of notification within the works. A red exclamation point beside the chat window wouldn't hurt anybody right?

BTW - That first paragraph was not intended to put any hate or shade upon newcomers to the game. Just a little comedic relief if you will. So don't get triggered. :)

We're ninjas, we don't need them. Not to mention we have the Penta, the Tonkor, the Kulstar, the angstrum.....Essentially you're missing out.

I'm not missing out on the other grenade launchers. I'm just saying that would be nice to have a Tenno Grenade Launcher.

We're ninjas, we don't need them.

Ninjas... we have robotic super suits that could level an army, swords as tall as its users, machine guns, energy rifles, and space ships that could fly to Pluto from Mercury in under 2 and a half minutes... and we don't need a few grenades!?

  8. The Corpus and Grineer have hand grenades. The Grineer have a grenade launcher, The Corpus have a REMOTE DETONATED Grenade launcher. What do we have... we have shurikens that have an 80% chance to explode (Yeah, I know that's cool but I'm trying to prove a point!). WHY ARE WE MISSING OUT!? We need a Tenno grenade launcher and a hand held grenade. It only makes sense.

  9. Lantern. An ability that is the bane of my existence. I'm not mad at the damage, not the butterflies, not the radius... the way it moves. If you don't know what Titania's Lantern ability does, it turns a target into a ball of light. The enemies will be attracted to the light and will get to close to the Razorwings around said target, once the duration runs out it will explode. Pretty nice if you ask me... but it just keeps moving in random directions making it go out of range or it not killing enough enemies. If you shoot it SHOULD go in that general direction, it doesn't. So I'm thinking, why don't we make it like Nova's Antimatter Drop. While you're staring down your sights, you can move your crosshair around to move the lantern. It would make this ability so much better wouldn't you say!?

    2nd Point

Also, can we not make meleeing with her 4th suicide. It's ridiculous.

You may have played dozens of games (I mean, I have been gaming since before the 2000s. "dozens" would be a horrific understatement) but it doesn't seem like you've played a lot of MMOs, nor does it seem like you've played all that much Warframe with how you're describing them.

A tank is not only about absorbing damage, though that is their most powerful ability and they do need that to even be considered among the class. A tank also serves to provide support, usually in the form of CC or a damage buff (as you did note, but you said it was useless for being a tank). Because of this, I have to disagree with your assessments of some Warframes, and add 2-3 to the list.

Frost himself is not notably tanky, but his abilities give him a lot of room for it. Snow Globe, for example. His passive also lets him tank a small amount more melee than normal frames by freezing melee attackers. The team bonus he provides is shelter from ranged fire and large-scale CC. Makes him a fairly effective Warframe, though he's only kind of a tank.

Inaros. Yee. Tank. Large-scale CC. Blind ability. He's a good tank. Easily one of the best, and immortal 90% of the time, solely because of his ridiculous amount of HP and the synergy of Covert Lethality and Pocket Sand. Easy to maintain him at any level.

Rhino is much better than you seem to give him credit for. Iron Skin is a given, and with the augment it can be a nuke, provided you stack tons of power strength. Roar is incredible for a tank, as it lets allies do much more damage to the enemies you're distracting. Stomp is amazing CC, and stacked with Roar, your team will do even better against enemies. Now, I am not super fond of Rhino (well, haven't used him in a while, so I might take him out for another spin sometime to re-test and whatnot), but it's undeniable that he's a great tank and provides adequate support to the team. It's very much worth having a Rhino much of the time of tougher missions.

The fact that you have only looked into Ice Chroma is appalling. On top of that, he can stack massive amounts of damage and be dangerous at any range as long as both Vex Armor buffs are active (compare to Inaros, who is most effective at melee range).

You forgot Valkyr, who is one of my personal favorite warframes. She's an amazing tank, but most effective as a Berserker-type player. On top of that, Hysteria is ridiculously powerful and makes her invulnerable. Great tank, as she boosts survivability and melee DPS, on top of her tanking ability.

Trinity is also a tank with Link and Blessing. They both negate 75% of damage, which lets her tank lot of stuff.

Nyx with the Assimilate augment is nigh immortal so long as she has energy.

Lots of Warframes can tank. There is no specific class. Merely some powers or traits that give some frames the ability to eat more bullets than everyone else.

    10

Ok, obviously you came here to prove a point... which you did quite well. But there are somethings that I didn't include in the original article that I should've and some frames that I've forgotten.

1st of all, yes, I meant to include Trinity due to her 75% percent damage reduction. SO SORRY!

Now Valkyr is a berserker (In my eyes). She has good CC, with buff and a power that turns you into a crazy cat lady. Her ulte has the ability to regenerate her, so I mainly user Hysteria to just say "Get ready to die." and heal a bit.  Beserker.

3rd I wasn't including augments because I was mainly making this topic for a friend who just started Warframe a few days ago. He wouldn't have access to augments and augments would make such an argument unfair.

Nyx's Chaos... That is an "Oh s**t" button (In my eyes)

And plus I was mainly listing the "most famous tanks". I was looking at the frames at a stereotypical POV. With said POV I look at Trinity as a healer and Nyx as a utility frame. But you pose a good point. Cool.

  11. 8 hours ago, Inarticulate said:

Warframe doesn't have clear-cut roles because Warframes are typically designed to be self-sufficient and capable of fulfilling enough roles on its own (Warframes without reliable damage mitigation typically have crowd-control options to compensate). As such, there isn't a need for a "classic tank" in most squad configurations.

I completely agree. I'm not saying that all warframes have cookie cut roles in the game, but people see the frames that I listed as tanks than anything else in the game.

  12. I've played dozens of games in my life. Most of those games had a class system. Mage, damage, TANK! That's what I want to talk about. Rhino, Frost, Chroma, and Inaros I classify as Tanks (If you don't see one of those 4 as tanks then I'd love to hear why BTW.). The point of a tank it to soak up the damage for your team and do a moderate amount of damage. Some of these frames don't do that as well as others. Let's look at Inaros first.

Inaros has thousands of health points and is able to regenerate said points. He also has a good chunk of armor. I think that Inaros is the best tank in the game. His 1st power blinds people, therefore, preventing them from shooting. His 2nd power is strict to support himself and his teammates. His 3rd grabs enemies and throws them up in the air. I like to think of that as the "Oh s**t" button. But not for Inaros, but for your team!  The point of a tank it to make the enemy attack you and allowing the rest of your team complete the objective.  And his 4th does two things. If you hold it, you drain your health to double your current armor. If you tap it while looking at an enemy, then you will discharge 25% of your Scarab Swarm onto the enemy, stunning them and producing corrosive. And if an enemy comes within 5 meters or so then the swarm will spread. And enemies affected by the swarm will give off a healing pulse. HES THE BEST TANK EVER!!! He prevents, he heals, he kills, he's everything that you could want.

Frost  has a good chunk of shields and has an ability that can easily safeguard your friends. That is what makes him a tank. His 1st is called Freeze... you know what it does. His 2nd and offensive ability that can do a good amount of damage. This ability does not support the fact he is a tank. It's just a power that can help you kill enemies. His 3rd is what makes him  THE KING OF DEFENSE MISSIONS! He makes a sphere of ice that has a set amount of health. Any enemies that enter the sphere are slowed down. This makes him a good tank. He can protect his friends and deal ok damage. And his 4th is just a massive AOE. His 3rd is the only thing that putting him in 2nd place. The other three are if you want to play offensively.

Rhino has one of the best defensive abilities in the game. This gives him the tank title. His first is called Rhino Charge.

    Juggernaut2.PNG

If you know who that guy is then you know what Rhino Charge does. His second is the most defensive ability in the game. He wraps himself in ferrite armor and protects himself from all damage. But it's a fairly selfish ability. There's no way to cast it on your friends and it only protects the player, nothing special. His 3rd is a damage output buff for you and your friends. The last is a massive AOE that disrupts time and outputs a good amount of damage. Rhino is in 3rd because the only thing that he can give to the team is a damage buff. Iron Skin only protects you. But that doesn't change the fact he's still a good tank.

And last but certainly not least is Chroma (Note that I am only paying attention to the Ice version of the Chroma Warframe.). His 1st power spits ice. Its has a crappy range and does next to  no damage. His second makes an ice shield around Choma's body. If enemies hit Chroma while the power is active, bullets will ricochet off of him, and the attacker will get a cold proc. It also adds armor. The ability is duration based is an okay ability. His third makes him sound like a berserker. If his shields get hit then his armor will be increased. If his health gets hit then his weapons get a damage buff. Another okay ability. And his 4th lets him shed his cloak and the cloak shots ice everywhere. But half of his armor is removed. Eh. His in dead last because he is a survivor than a tank. He's not about supporting or diverting the damage, but just to save his own skin. You could argue with the fact that he has 3 other elements, but I'm looking at the ice.

How to be the best tank for your team

    Step 1: Get Inaros

Step 2: Get  Guardian Derision for your melee.

Step 3: Always be in the front to take the brunt of the axe

If you have an opposing opinion please do tell.

  13.

As time goes by, DE's ability to make cooler looking things in Warframe has grown immensely! Mainly in the Prime department. Nekros and Valkyr are the two most recent primes to come. Both look amazing and look very different compared to the regular counterparts. But then we take a look at Mag Prime, she has a weird floating ring and some other "things". She looks ok but comparing old primes to new primes, well there out of date you could say. We all know what the art team is capable of. SO why don't we get a Prime Modle and Texture Revamp? What do you think?
