I really only agree that the orbiter feels like it needs a "crew" or the pets and sentinels roaming around a bit more. The orbiter is still lore tho... A near perfect stealth ship you launch from that houses the operator and all equipment he needs to run his missions

Touch my cozy space cabin and i will slap you with a salmon

just to be clear here, im not wanting the orbiter to really get gone, i just want to see it overhauled, more life, a little bit more space (rooms), for exemple, i would fcking pay a ton for an Arsenal room, with the warframe manequins (kinda like ironman's suit room) and weapons on a shelf, that would be insane, the one we hae now really seems limited, in terms of design and creativity.

  2. The current "orbiter" has got to go, its completed it "lifetime" the game has grown exponentially since it was introduced and we still only have that? in concept the orbiter is H U G E yet we still only have access (with no hint to other places) 3 rooms ???? so we are using like 10% of it???
Also, it just feels "dead", i mean for a ship that large is it seriously just us on it?

I think that the orbiter can be replaced with the completed railjack or at least based on it, it would be nice to see other people/bots walking on the ship as well doing random stuff, more space/levels something to feel more alive, mor customization (not just decorations), i mean come on, its been 4 years and the christmas/lanter/prime ship decoration still only affects the top part?? i mean really?? that just seems a bit lazy imo.

Edit: tl;dr current orbiter needs an overhaul imo.

you didn't think to just run down and then exit because you don't have to start the boss fight if you don't want to.

well you see, that wasnt clear for me, as far as i knew, if you went down there the boss fight started, as i said, there is no UX thought there, or at least its not that clear.

  4. Just now, EinheriarJudith said:

do you get a prompt telling you to exit the area when you enter cetus? nope.

do you get one when entering fortuna from orb valis? nope.

why should be be different there when its practically the same. exiting Deck 12 resets orb valis instance.

because maybe, just MAYBE deck 12 has a different intention than the open areas??????? deck12 is a boss/quest location, and just for that.

  5. 5 minutes ago, EinheriarJudith said:

you have to walk a bit away from the door. its just like when you enter cetus from plains. you have to leave the area where the outside door is. the loss of time is your own fault.

oh okay, so then just the UX team was absent, ok.

edit: on another note, why tf do we always have to go back to fortuna/cetus to exit (and keep loot/exp) the open world area ????????????????????????????????????????????????????
just why? it makes no sense...

  6. so after around 2h of mining in orb vallis, i accidently entered the orb cave (the 2nd spider), and the door shut, and i couldnt get back out, i mean, WTH DE.

Did no one mention this at the design meeting? so i just lost 2h of mining cuz of a silly mistake, cuz there was no prompts ("bla bla bla beyond this point cant go back bla bla bla"), and the door simply closes shut, thats some serious design flaw.

No, no, a thousand times no. This suggestion comes up every time something vaguely new enters the gaming industry/twitch bait shows up. MOBAs are popular, Warframe should add a MOBA mode. PUBG is popular, just bolt on a battle royale mode. Asymmetrical PvP is popular, have players be the Stalker or his edgy children and, even better, rope in that super popular Dark Souls mechanic and just jump in to some lowbies game and make sure they never play the game again.

"Just" scale a map and existing mission framework from the current conclave setup to "only" 50-100 people. "Just" add dedicated servers for a fad.

ok so, you don't want new things in warframe, noted.

As much fun as PUBG is, I don't think a warframe version would work as well given the differences in the games.

Though the biggest problem is server size, since only the relays and dojos are hosted by DE, everything else is on a host system, so DE simply doesn't have the resources for this.

    Fun idea though!

that's the twist about it though, PUBG can be somewhat slow paced, and Warframe being what it is would be a little hectic, IMO that's awesome, having ground battles as well as air battles (archwing) is surely adrenaline inducing, also DE could host some servers on their side (idk 2-5) and "they could also let players host dedicated servers (like conclave)"

  9. As the Title says, i've been thinking on ways to make pvp in warframe fun, and now with the plains of eidolon coming, i thought it would be the perfect time to add a Battle Royale of sorts, players drop from a Liset/Orbiter thats passing, find guns(every gun/melee available in conclave) on the ground and start fighting with a fog (could be ice damage or something, like in frozen open maps), till one is left alive.

    Pros:

    • the map is there already (PoE);
    • the guns are somewhat balanced already (use conclave versions);
    • the twist on the genre is: besides being a F2P game, the Fashion Frame is present, the warframe skills (conclave version) and the parkour/archwing make it a very arcade-y and fast paced action.

    Cons:

    • the only challenge would be the servers and making dedicated servers for this mode (because 1 person hosting a 50+ people mode is insane), and it doesn't have to be 100 players, anything between 50-100 would be good as parkour/archwing is high mobility.

As in lore (conclave has minimal/no lore whatsoever), it could be something like Tenshin trying to find the most skilled/honorable tenno, or that Darvo has some "fresh" in stock items to give out, but in limited quantity (1 player / top 3 only) and so holds a br tournament.

Final Thoughts: although making dedicated servers on DE's side would increase servers costs, they could also let players host dedicated servers (like conclave), a game mode like this would surely bring some new folks to warframe (since its the buzz right now) and also spice um warframe's PVP (that's pretty much dead or has a small devoted playerbase), anyway that's just my 2 cents.

  10. So after the latest update 19.12.2 my warframe doesn't take priority over the windows bar, while in borderless window, thus making me click out of the game window while aiming (on the windows bar if i aim/move my mouse upwards), it's starting to get really annoying, i don't want to put it in fullscreen 'cuz i don't know why but, it REALLY lags while i alt+tab out of warframe.

    Hey Tenno!

Sorry for the delay in a reply on this matter. We're running with a smaller crew this holiday season, and there's a lot to handle today!

Let's get to it: The requirements for the Hema are intentional.

This burst-fire Infested rifle offers a unique mechanic, and with the ability to absorb health and ammo from enemies it adds a new level of variety to your Arsenal. The Resource costs, the Mutagen Samples in particular, are set to encourage Clan participation and collaboration in investing for this new weapon. It is clear to us you are eager in doing so in the most efficient manner possible, so let’s break it down:

To meet the Mutagen Sample requirement, each Clan member would need to contribute 500 samples. Depending on what kind of squad you run with, the requirements can be met after running a few Orokin Derelict Defense missions (especially if you have a few Nekros’ to help). Many of you may already have the required samples, if not more, already in your inventory.

Ultimately, Clan research is meant to take cooperation and effort. It won’t necessarily be something that can be done with resources you have lying around already. Although we do not intend to make any changes, we appreciate constructive and respectful feedback.

i've been wondering this after some time now, you guys don't really play the game you've built do you ? It doesn't seem like so, who the f*ck thought this game mode + 30min rng was good/fun to play ? Please give me their names, i would like to personally have a talk with them (civilized don't worry), i would like to see how the mind of a sociopath works, please make a new account and play from 0, THE GAME IS STARTING TO GET @(*()$ BORING WITH THESE ENDLESS GRIND AND RNG, seriously, i've been around for 3years now, i love warframe (almost quitting it tho), and hell no i wouldn't start over again, just imagining all the grind i would have to do gives me new levels of mental stress, i WILL NOT BUY Nidus with plat and i WILL NOT FARM Nidus with that tedious new game mode and stupid rng after 30min of my life, later DE.

Another point of view to consider:

Let's say I bought the Ember Prime Vault PA when it comes out. 5 months later, DE decides to follow through on their "promise" (not a promise, but w/e) and put everything back in the tables. I just wasted over $100 on something that I was told was exclusive, which is now readily available for anyone to get at any time. I would be pissed and demand a refund.

Prime Vault is staying. Let. It. Go.

well you see, the thing is, it was never EXCLUSIVE (the warframe/weapons), only the accessories, PA are just a way that players can rush to get the new primes, hence why the are farmable day1 after releasing the PA.

So basically, your argument boils down to "if I can farm it, it's not p2win", ignoring the fact that you could farm other things and sell them for plat to achieve the same effect. It also requires you to ignore the fact that some items are technically farmable but doing so is completely impractical (go calculate how many JVs you'd have to do on average to get a full set of energize).

Nobody's forcing you to wait a year for the prime stuff you want. If you want it that bad, go farm for it. If you're patient, you can get a set for <800 and that doesn't take anywhere close to a year.

you're not even making sense anymore, read what i said, i want to farm the actual items (prime parts) and not sh*tload of other stuff just to trade it for premium to buy it from another player. Also widenose do you even economics bruh ? having stuff taken away from the droptables just make it grow in value, a set of Frost Prime is around 600-800plat right now, as he's already been on the Vault PA once, there isn't a good chance he's coming back so soon, so that means that by demand his pieces are going to get more and more scarce, making its value grow (for exemple the well known glitch Primed Chamber(thats a discussion for another time)), how the hell is a Newbie/Casual/NonFrostOwner supposed to get him ? him being in the droptables makes his price more manageable, a newbie/casual can steadily farm his pieces or buy them from other for REASONABLE prices.

The problem with leaving all the key sin game is that at that point you're just creating massive relic dilution and just making it harder and harder and harder to get a relic you want as time goes on.

Right now we have 7 relics per Era with 6 farmable per era with 1 being unavilable due to the Vault.
When the next PA comes out then more relics will be released to hold the prime items.  Which if they don't cycle out the relics of the item that they vault now instead of looking at a 1 in 6 chance at getting a relic you need from a mission that drops that era of relic you're now at a 1 in 7.  And then the next PA happens and its a 1 in 8, then a 1 in 9 and on and on until its next to impossible to get the one relic that drops the parts that you are after.

And if they just suddenly unvaulted everything currently vaulted and tossed them onto new relics to farm it would be so ridiculously annoying to get a specific relic that the old void table dilution would look so very nice in comparison.
All that would do is make everyone yell and complain about relic drop dilution as you are now having to hope and pray that you get one type of relic out of 12+ possible ones.  And that is if the mission gives you a relic at all.

    Further:

    This is completely correct.
DE never promised to end the vault and make everything obtainable.
You may have read into what they said and say "But they implied it..." in which case I could just say that you were probably mistaken.
DE never came out and said that they were going to be unvaulting everything.  The forums just read too much into things and assumed and ran away with it and repeated it like absolute truth.

your whole argument on existing the prime vault as a way to reduce relic dilution is the same as DE used in the first place, EXCEPT the did a WHOLE NEW SYSTEM around that same idea, so nothing really changed, plus WHY THE F*** does EVERY relic contain e forma drop (some even have 2 drops) thats just wasted slots, also just spread the keys to MORE MISSIONS TYPES AND NODES, in reality its really easy to make a system/distribution that doesnt make 1 mission have 10 diferent key drops,

When will people understand that certain things are a luxury good?

Ember prime is 1300 plat (if you're bad at trading, but let's stay on point) for a bit more shield and armor (on a frame that doesn't really get hit to begin with), and 6k mastery. Obviously not a very good value. There are things you could spend 1300 plat on that would provide much more "winning".

If you're at the point where spending 1300 on ember prime sounds like a good idea, then you're either:

    1. In possession of more plat than you know what to do with, or
    2. Already have all the good stuff, so you have nothing else to spend plat on, or
    3. Really desperate for MR, or
    4. Not very good at spending money wisely.

So for #1 and #2, it's a non-issue. Specifically for #1, if it was easier to get certain things, they would no longer be as desirable since they would stop being luxury goods and status symbols. For #3, I encourage you to look at Quanta Vandal prices. More expensive than EmberP, for half the MR. For #4, can't really help you there.

Saying "this is expensive, therefore it's pay to win" is a total non-argument when the thing you're paying for is not even noticeably better than the non-prime version. If you were making the same argument based off, say, Arcane Energize, that would be one thing.

Besides, if we're going to equate "costs plat" with "P2W" then you might as well call the whole game P2W since slots and other essentials cost plat. I'm not necessarily disagreeing with that, but using something like EmberP just trashes your entire argument. If you're going to complain about something that was "there from the beginning" getting taken away, at least use an untradable item as an example, since that's actually unobtainable. Or something that's only available in PA.

dude, i got my mag/rhino/ember prime when they were like 20plat each, i'm not saying " this is expensive, therefore it's pay to win", they know what pay to win is, why do you think Arcane helmets were taken off ? having to wait 1year for the prime vault to open up the frame you want is F******* terrible, i didn't get the chance to get Frost Prime (wasnt really good at the game back then), and it already came once on the prime vault, who knows when it will come back again, this is what im calling BS on.

Accept it or not, Stats for money is pay-to-win, convenience (say exp boosters, or foundry rush) items are not, primes where in the convenience "category" with them being farmable, now that they get "vaulted" they just go to the p2w "category".

  14. 1 hour ago, BloodForTheBloodGods said:

No one's paying 1300 plat for Ember. Cmon.

Other than that, I agree with you. However, DE has to make money, and you can farm the parts as well, when the prime vault opens. It'll probably never be changed. What definitely should be happen, is to release prime vault accessory packs.

that is was i was thinking, prime vault the accessories.

      OR

Vault the accessories + warframes (but don't take them out of the droptables (nor their keys, current iteration is still sh*t imo)).

for exemple Loki has been vaulted, make him droppable again, and later on unvault the accessories that came on his prime access as well as him, sort of a Prime Access for old primes, while still maintaing EVERYTHING farmable.
