  1. I feel like everywhere I turn, something is being changed for the worse. The new UI (Ref Brozime's rant) is less functional than the old one, and the melee changes take away control I used to have.

Whenever I think about item labels being off by default I feel like shouting and pounding a table because it's such a monumentally bad idea and I don't understand how it was allowed to happen.. and stay that way. DE aren't stupid. They play their own game. Surely they have tried to find a prime part without item labels. I can't for the life of me think of a rational reason for this being the way it is.

Another example: Simaris' page in the syndicates  console has the "Visit" and "Offerings" buttons in different places compared to all the other syndicates. This kind of inconsistency is bad design and I don't understand why!

Melee 2.9 was the worst thing to ever happen to Warframe. I can see it being easier for a new player to get into, but I was used to the old melee. For me, auto-blocking and the accompanying auto-aim-glide is truly awful! Might as well have random button inputs messing me up. Melee improved a lot in the latest iteration, but they kept auto-blocking; the very worst part of it.

Mercy kills lock the camera so I can't look around and decide on my next move. Look at the cool animation we made! Everywhere I look something is being made prettier and less functional, and it's so dismaying because I Love Warframe. I don't just mean I enjoy playing it, I capital-L Love Warframe! It's always been the crown jewel of gaming that does AAA better than the AAA companies, and F2P better than the F2P cesspool that is mobile gaming. I'm thousands of hours and hundreds of dollars in. I've done everything I can to convince my friends to play with me.

I'm so sad and angry about the direction Warframe is going, and keeps doubling down on, I'm not even excited for Empyrean. I started the quest but I'm not feeling it. I dunno...

  2. Just adding my +1 to the pile. Autoblocking is terrible because it takes control away from us. Please let us longpress F to lock melee mode like before.

It's bad enough that if Melee 3.0 is ready tomorrow I'd want you to roll it back today.

  3. Mixed feelings about autoblock. Not happy about how much control it takes away from me. Like others said, Electromagnetic Shielding and Guardian Derision are... let's say Impractical now. Glaive and gunblade charged attacks, as well as Blind Justice's multiattack combo which starts with a charged attack were broken. They would get interrupted all the time but seems to only autoblock attacks with knockdown now, and only when I'm not status immune anyway, so super happy about that one!

If you don't have a secondary, pick up a datamass or something, you drop it if you right click. If you do that with a half-empty thermia canister, it disappears. (This last part might be fixed. Haven't tested recently but I lost a few bonuses to it last week)

Enabling LMB melee works fine (IE, like it used to) if you don't equip a primary or secondary.  Otherwise it becomes contextual and difficult if your timing is off. And even if you don't bring guns, equipping a scanner makes RMB re-equip the scanner for the rest of the mission. LMB melee is just straight up better because you don't have to take a finger off the WASD keys to hit something. I'd really like this to work properly.

I'm all for effectively allowing combos with quick melee but for goodness' sake let us lock into melee mode like before. It would solve all the breakages we're dealing with now.

  4. Please disable idle animations while the color picker is active. Many animation sets have the warframe flailing and twirling their weapons around so I can't see them. Khora Noble actually hides her pistols behind her back. I know that's not deliberately to annoy me but HARRUMPH.

  5. It's like the Sanctuary is Hell, Simaris is half Satan and half Dr. Mengele, and I'm the guy who put hundreds of people in there, now going in with a pitchfork to kill them over and over again. It feels TERRIBLE and I've never been less sure the Tenno are the good guys here.

I know they're just pixel men and I'm already over it, but adding this was a bad idea. There had better be a real good, tangible justification for why Simaris needs this data. Have the Lotus squeeze it out of him when she comes back. Or just delete him.

  6. I've grown to hate Konzu. He keeps adding to my small mountain of lenses. Meanwhile he's sitting on my Auger Seeker, laughing at me. "Have another meso relic. No? Perhaps you think you are being treated unfairly? Want me to start giving you credits again?"

So how about some "thing" that boosts the drop chances to the level of a radiant relic? We could buy it for standing, you could get one per bounty or partial bounty, have it drop from Grineer during bounties? That should help get the leeches away from the gate too.

  7. The entry in the codex says how many scans you've done and how many you need to fully unlock it. Once you have enough the scanner will say "Codex entry complete", and the thing/creature will no longer be red when seen through the scanner.

  8. The second audio log, after you complete the first part, plays the audio and subtitles from the first (opening) audio log.

Update: Third audio log also plays sound and subtitles from the first.

  9. An index grind? Really? I've done four matches so far and I'm SO...BORED! I'll keep going but I'm not having fun.

The first mission was super cool. Why couldn't there be more like that? Hive, Defense or Mobile Defense missions with little twists. A few rounds of Index thrown in maybe? Literally anything would be better than this.

Edit: Okay the last part was better. Better than "win three rounds twice to get started" which was very offputting and made me expect a long meaningless grind.

  10. So I like stealth. Affinity multipliers, peace and quiet, no bursas. All the good things. But the syndicate operatives seem hellbent on triggering alarms. If the mission starts within sight of enemies, they will *immediately* open fire. Now my plywood-and-ricepaper Loki has a head-on fight on his hands. Normally I can recover from this by clearing the vicinity and parking the operatives in a cupboard where I hope they cry and starve.

But today... today they were conspicuously absent for the first half of the mission. They appeared from thin air *inside a data vault* (the one with tree laser grids fencing off the middle of the room). Bang bang, alarms, bursas, MOUNTAINS of bullcrap piling on my 225hp.

Now, don't get me wrong, I don't want DE to remove them. I want them to turn on friendly fire for operatives so I can kill them and watch them die. Ideally make them capture targets so I can pick them up as items, bring them to Uranus and give them to Tyl Regor for live dissections.

That's how much I hate them.
