and like i said might as well not of released excal umbra since, well warframe players tend to get starving for new stuff. i mean some other new variant of frame that you get from a story without having to wait, lets see. 3 days for an entire build. umbra just being a excalibur prime stand in just feels like a waste. and like i said. DE shouldn't of had excalibur prime as a founders exclusive. i mean what does excalibur prime, skana prime, and lato prime even do now days? collect dust? to be honest i don't really care for excalibur prime. the only reason i got on a excalibur prime tangent right now is because i think the excuse of excalibur umbra being a prime stand in is, irritating. if we get another umbra like frame that comes from a story that that stands on its own, then i would be happy more so if we get that chroma variant. i mean he would be easy to fit the emotional cycle thing. also if we do get orowyrm frame. then that will be the third frame that can change its element and the 2nd dragon related or dragon adjacent frame. and i feel like DE tries to avoid making anything too familiar. since well the "vampire frame" has turned into more like an eidolon frame, and the werewolf frame is more like a "pack frame" and well chroma as a word means color or something. and colors are tied to emotions. the whole theme fits chroma to a T so well it makes me a little bit depressed that there is nothing chroma related.

also i would rather not purchase another chroma deluxe skin till he gets some kind of love. i mean at this point in the games cycle chroma's loosing his foot in the only thing he was considered good at. boss killing. from what i remember necramechs have replaced chroma with the eidolon. and i would be surprised if the necramechs aren't as good at killing the profit taker as well. what does chroma even have left to do?

sorry for the small excalibur prime rant. couldn't help but think that would be the only reason why someone would argue against the idea of the variant. or the bit about dissuading players from buying prime access or prime resurgences. which also nettles me a little bit.

to be honest umbra should of been a deluxe skin. i mean why did we even get him? because excalibur prime is an exclusive? if thats the only reason then DE shouldn't of make a primed warframe and weapons an exclusivity. should of done some kind of fancy skin instead. i mean thats 1 on 1 with what other pre order games did. i saw someone on their patch notes griping about skana prime's incarnon form not being as good as the regular and prisma ones. yet the reason why the skana prime hasn't got that good of benefit was because it would be unfair for those who didn't get something that was exclusive to the founders. sure it might be unfair for the founders. but again we can get most if not all primes except for excalibur prime and his primed weapons. all because we got in this game too late. so why should umbra be the only non prime variant of a frame?

added spoilers for this in case. but after playing duviri i can not stop thinking of a chroma variant like how we got excalibur umbra. some kind of wyrmking chroma or something. and well this is based of, well you can guess what. the orowyrms. and the rotation of emotions also plays into it. can't really think of how it could be implemented but this area just screams chroma like nothing else to me. its hard to explain but couldn't help but think of it. as for how it would work i don't really know. i just couldn't help but think of chroma during this whole game mode.

i personally feel like the war is an overshadowed weapon. well because people favor either the broken war more then it, or will pick the other heavy weapons over it. because of a few factors, one of them being because it is an impact weapon. and to be honest i kind of feel a bit jaded because that it is not considered a "good weapon". its such a cool looking weapon. yet its not as good as the galatine prime, paracesis, or the gram prime. and the paracesis is also a story based weapon. so why does the war have to be shortchanged?
