They trashed any mods you had that were versions they got rid of. Great way to do things, really. People seemed to think they would get the appropriate mods when the change hit. Glad I had not been trashing any of my mods for awhile.

Okay, yeah, I get it now.  My zetki bulkhead, hull weave, etc. are gone from my railjack because those mods don't exist in the game anymore; they're only vidar or whatever now, and I had to re-max those.  Thank you.

  2. I think it would be a major quality of life upgrade if players in a turret or pilot sea--in the railjack, or in a crewship--could waypoint drops in missions the same way we can in non-railjack missions.

It can be easy for the pilot to miss drops, considering that they're looking for a small colored dot against the backdrop of infinite space, the play area for these missions is massive, and ships will often explode to the side of or behind the railjack after being killed, meaning that their drops aren't in the pilot's line of site.  On top of that, neither the railjack's nor the archwing's vacuum radius is very big in these missions, even after the hotfix buff they received.  Considering that gunners can see things that the pilot's fixed and narrow point of view can't, and they are even able to look 360 degrees on every axis with that one gunnery intrinsic, gunners are much more likely than the pilot to spot important drops like wreckage and avionics that no one in the squad will want to miss.  Being able to waypoint those drops would mean they could just get the pilot's attention and have him or her fly over and snag it, which is much better than requiring the gunner to leave the turret, hop into archwing, and get it personally.  As long as we're at it, it couldn't hurt for pilots to be able to waypoint things, too.  I see no downside, and maybe they will sometimes want to mark something like a high-priority enemy that is constantly flying out of sight or a point that they want to make sure they check out when they don't have a more pressing concern.

On another note, it would be nice if either 1.) Cy would let you know every time there is a player in the railjack slingshot (not just the first time) so that the pilot knows to face a crewship, or 2.) there were a callout option in the tactical menu like "Face a crewship" or even just "Crewship" so the pilot knew what to do (we could just type that in chat, but this would be a little faster and more fluid, I think).  I don't know if it's a bug that Cy only says there's a tenno in the slingshot the first time a player enters the slingshot, but it would be helpful if the pilot could be made aware every time the slingshot is loaded.  Tying in with the point about being able to waypoint things, maybe the player in the slingshot could waypoint crewships?  He or she would need to be able to waypoint crewships even if they are outside the slingshot's line of sight, though.

    Thank you!

  3. I noticed this happening during the past week or two.  Every time I play the defense mission on Helene, Saturn, I get kicked when it requires a host migration (primarily when the host leaves after a rotation but I continue fighting).  If it gives me the option to rejoin my group, which only happens sometimes, that will fail too, either saying that the group is full (which doesn't make sense, since I've never heard of someone new joining a group after the second wave) or just that joining the group failed, or it won't say anything at all.  I've been doing a lot of experience grinding lately, so that's where I've noticed the host migration failure the most, but I think I have played other missions where the host migration works, so I'm not sure exactly what the issue is there.

Also, every time I try to join a group via invitation, like when I'm trying to go on a vault run, the invite fails and I get the "failed to join" message.  I haven't tried inviting someone else to a group for a mission because my latency is so bad, and I don't want everyone else to suffer from me being the host.

Are these issues that a lot of other people are experiencing, or is it something on my end that I need to fix?  If the latter, does anyone have any ideas?  Thank you.

    God bless y'all.

  4. I'm having this issue with a bunch of achievements as well, all of which seem to be achievements that I got before the update that adjusted achievements recently.  I know I should have achievements like "caps off to you," "the camera adds ten pounds," and the various "savior of _____" achievements, but they don't show up in Steam, though I can see that I've completed them under "challenges" in my profile in-game.

  5. I've looked through several pages in General Feedback and am surprised not to see any posts directed to this issue, so please excuse me if this has already been thoroughly investigated.  This has bothered me almost since I began playing the game almost two years ago, though, so I feel like I at least need to voice my concerns.

I feel like basically every type of grind present in Warframe, including resources, focus, clan research, and especially primes and prime parts (and relics), is way too excessive.

With resources, it may be more of a balancing issue, since there are a few resources like nano spores that I have an absolute boatload of, but there are several resources like plastids that only drop in doses of a few hundred each mission (at most), while many blueprints call for thousands of them.  Even resources that are more common, like alloy plates, are called for in so many blueprints and in such quantities for each blueprint that it feels like no matter how many you get, it's never enough.

With regard to focus, it just seems like such a small percentage of your experience goes toward focus that it feels like it takes forever to buy a single upgrade in any school.  Admittedly, I only really have one basic lense for each school (except Madurai), but that is partly because I haven't been able to get more or greater lenses; I'm not at a point where I can succeed in sorties without a team that has a pretty good idea of what they're doing, and even if I succeed, it seems there's only a small chance of getting a lens or one of the better rewards.  They did make a change a few months ago that added greater lenses to the reward pool and I believe made a few other balancing changes, which I do greatly appreciate.

Clan research is difficult because it just demands so much of each resource, especially the blue research resources.  I joined a clan (Reign of the Lotus) around a year or year and a half ago, and at the time, they had practically all research completed.  Since then, I've tried to be active in the research as more items have come out, but it seems that membership has gone down to a handful of dedicated individuals who, for all their effort and contribution, cannot surmount the massive wall that is the thousands of resources required just to research an item.  On top of that, after dedicating so many resources, research doesn't give you the item, but you have to invest even more resources to actually build the item.  It's just really overwhelming.  In particular, it seems that blue research resources only drop in very small amounts, yet the research projects ask for a ton of them.  Further, resources like detonite injectors, and fieldrons can't be obtained in normal missions, but must be acquired through conflicts that only pop up once or twice a day, give only three of one of those resources, and that take a day or two to be completed before you receive your reward.  I want to be active in my clan and see it flourish, but I simply don't have the resources to contribute, and I feel like this grind wall is at least part of the reason why our clan feels so inactive now.

Primes and prime parts are the most frustrating for me.  When I think about all of the hoops you have to jump through to get that new warframe or weapon, I just don't understand it.  To get a weapon or frame, you first have to obtain the blueprints and parts from a relic that contains them (or in the case of frames, the parts themselves have to be built from individual blueprints from relics, costing additional resources).  However, when you go into a mission with a relic, there is only a chance to get the part that you want, which can be very small if it's a rarer drop.  You can increase the chances of getting a rarer part through refinement, but even if radiants say you have half a chance of getting their rarest parts, it still feels like it can take three radshare missions before that rare drop appears.  Before that, though, you first need to obtain the relic itself.  However, every mission that offers a chance of a relic has a ton of different relics in it, so it can take several attempts before you get the specific relic (or relics, if you're lucky enough to be chasing a part that comes from more that one relic) you want.  There doesn't seem to be much rhyme or reason behind where relics drop either.  Sure, low-level missions drop Lith, going up Meso, Neo, and Axi as the mission difficulty gets higher, but beyond that where relics drop seems randon and difficult to keep track of, even if you look at the relic drop sites in the codex.  So it's like, you only have a chance to get the relic, but the relic itself only gives you a chance to get the item, and you have to do that several times before you get all of the parts and blueprint for a particular weapon or warframe, at which point you have to invest several resources to actually build them (each of which takes twelve hours), and then you have to build the weapon or frame over a couple of days.  It's just very frustrating trying to obtain something with so much chance involved.  Additionally, even if you got the right relics and then the right parts on the first try, it would take half a week to completely build a warframe (weapons, thankfully, are much faster).  This whole process of obtaining primes is further complicated by the fact that primes are constantly being added while others are moved to the vault.  It always feels like there's a scramble as you rush to get that last part before the relics for the item become unobtainable, such that it's difficult to keep up with everything new coming out.

I like that DE continues to add new content, like the constant influx of new weapons and such, it's just that there is a lot of it, and I cannot raise the resources and time to meet it.  I also do feel like DE recognizes that some of the things I mentioned are an issue and have taken steps to resolve them, such as when they changed void keys to relics, and I appreciate the amount of work they have put into their game toward making it the best possible.  The variety of weapons and warframes is impressive--staggeringly so--and offers so many ways to play, it's just hard to get and experience everything.

If I were to offer some suggestions for how to fix some of the grind, I would either reduce the resource requirements for building items and conducting research, or increase the drop rates of resources.  Similarly for research, I would appreciate it if more experience were converted to focus points and if focus lenses were slightly easier to obtain.  Primes are difficult, and I'm not exactly sure of how the system could be fixed, as it does seem to be a problem with the mechanic itself as well as the RNG, though I have a few ideas.  Perhaps it would help if each relic could only be found in a few locations and that each location would only drop a few different relics.  That way, if you knew which relic you were looking for, there would be only a few missions you would have to look for it, and the chances within that mission of getting your intended relic would be higher.  Maybe it would also be helpful to reduce the number of items that drops from each relic, and have each item only drop from one relic?  I understand that what I'm suggesting are some pretty expansive changes, but I feel like they may be worthwhile to make the game smoother and more enjoyable, or if not, they may at least lead to other ideas to accomplish the same goal.

I hope that I've been able to express myself well.  I don't mean to come across as angry or anything, so please excuse me and feel free to let me know if I do.  I hope this isn't too long or ranty.  I appreciate all constructive comments and hope that this input helps the game.  If you made it to the end, I'm impressed.  Thank you for your time, and God bless y'all.

  6. Many others have already said it, but I feel like I need to convey my appreciation for this post as well.  D20, you give some really helpful guidelines and follow your suggestions as you give them; you're ideas are clear and to the point, positive, relevant, insightful, everything.  Excellence all around.  Thank you very much, especially from someone like me who hasn't yet participated very much in the forums.

    God bless y'all.

  7. I like this post.  I agree; I think that there is too much time between killing someone and collecting the oro, although oro does seem to have some significance at least in terms of lore, which may be why it's here.  Still, I think it could at least be collected faster.

I don't want to slam DE; they want to bring more people into PvP.  However, I don't think this is the way to do it.  Playing Quick Steel just felt awkward, especially with the nikana and lag.  As others have said, the nikana is so slow and it takes so long for you to recover.  In addition, I would often immediately attack a second time, even if I hadn't pressed the button since right after the first attack started.  This was very frustrating, and I didn't really enjoy playing it, but I stuck it out for the rewards (without AFKing).  I also feel like dedicated servers would lessen the headache of your sword going through someone without hitting them.  I hope to see improvements in the future and am confident that DE is capable.

  8. I don't believe that I was in this group, but I joined into a Hieracon mission a couple minutes before the update went live, with three others, and I know that we had at least one Axi E1 relic by the end of it, but it's not in my inventory either, and although I saw it once the excavator was done, I did not see it in the mission rewards in the end.  This was a bummer because that was only the second one I had found after intent farming for a few days.  As I recall, it's always been the policy that as long as you enter a mission before the deadline, you can keep playing past the deadline and still get the rewards, so I'm led to believe that this is a bug of some sort.

    Thank you.  God bless y'all.

  9. I'm sure this has been mentioned already, but I think it would be nice if we could use the scanners inside relays, so as to scan people like Darvo and Maroo if you didn't scan them during their quests.  That might also provide an opportunity to add an "allies" section to the codex, along with the enemy factions.

On another point, I feel like vaulted void relics should be in the codex as well as those you can still get.
