  1. I gave it a test drive when the console Warframe update landed. It pretty much gave the same impression as the rework before: It still felt clunky unless you modded Attack Speed from 1.8-2+ (Berserker is inclusive).

The slight pause/stomp on the downward slash opener to Threshing Grain feels awkward, it only needed the downward slash without the stylistic stomp. Less animations would make it feel more fluid in execution.

Still, I feel that prior to Melee 2.9999~etc/3.0 Wise Razor was where the stance shined the most. The combos in the stance’s execution felt fluid and felt right. It was post rework where combos are dissected and reformulated into Neutral/N. Tactical and Forward/F. Tactical where things fell apart. It became too focused on confining certain movements to the aforementioned inputs that the form factor to the combos felt dull and awkward.

The unfortunate circumstance to all of this is that we have to bolster Attack Speed just to muscle through awkward animations, and in a way it doesn’t have to be like this. It’s weird how melee is remodeled this way for Wise Razor, similarly to how Sovereign Outcast suffered with its animations.

  2. Remove the damage cap on enemy health modifier, then we’ll see any progression with Marked for Death. Otherwise it doesn’t matter how much dressing or make-up you apply to the damage output with this unfortunate cap: It’s restricted to the afflicted enemy target’s health and will expend AoE damage based on that health.

This alone already restricts how the ability is utilized. And it affects deeply for Ash’s Fatal Teleport which is a single target ability, whereas certain augments that increase the finisher damage modifier are generated in an AoE. And even then, why use Finishers any more with MfD when the approach now is enforced by Heavy Attacks with guaranteed Bleed procs with a slight sprinkling of Viral procs? This is what we’ve adapted to after the heavy nerfs, but it became restricted to this way of utilizing Marked for Death when the core philosophy in Warframe had always been about diverse builds/setups/gameplay.

So please, remove the damage cap on enemy health modifier. It is restrictive and wholly unnecessary.

The RNG behind Fish parts did not sit right based on player feedback, and we agree. Our intentions didn’t outweigh the value in this case.”

Hotfix this nonsense on consoles too, everyone thought it was a bug,  this is unreal.

Agreed, the fishing resource economy is out of whack on consoles. This needs a fix asap.

  4. Noticed Daughter and Son lines cutting out or repeating older lines when they are supposed to voice the lines that are displayed in the caption at verbatim during the Heart of Deimos quest. Missed out on vital information that they may have wanted to disclosed in order to advance the story. This may have been because when undergoing the questline, the player is immediately sent to a busy Hub lobby in Deimos and is thereby desync-ing any dialogue.

Did people just suddenly forget that Glaxion Vandal was initally a twitch drop from a previous tennocon only?

They have to give people reason to watch the livestream and this is a good way to do it. Honestly would prefer if they threw chinaframe exclusive weapons to normal warframe initally this way/

Glaxion Vandal was an event reward for Hostile Mergers, which was an event held in the summer of 2019. The Glaxion Vandal as a Twitch drop was dropped in December, 2019.

I had a digital ticket for both Tennocon 2018 and 2019. Glaxion Vandal was not provided as a Tennocon drop. If it was, you need to provide a source for your argument.

you have access to a online co op game and not twich? plus you dont need to have a prime account ..i dont get it why people find it so hard ..its like the people that dont want to wear a mask lolw

There are countries that allow console gaming but don’t allow Twitch/TwitchPrime/AmazonPrime to function in their part of the world.

Imagine that? There are other world governments that disallow certain online services. How maddening.

edit: Yes, the second sentence was used in sarcasm.

It would be settling at the very least to have a disclaimer that informs players that the Athodai handcannon will be made available eventually. However, the description used is to “hype” the Twitch drop for people that have access to Twitch Prime services and upsets people that do not. Especially for an item tied to MR.

What's the problem? MR 30 will definitely be obtainable without having EVERYTHING and I'm pretty sure they will make it a twitch drop again in future, so people who really want that 100% completed graph in their profile won't have any problems

We’re still dealing with the absence of the Machete bp along with other islands of content tied to MR. I doubt this is what is being argued.

The dispute is releasing a weapon tied to MR as a Twitch drop without predetermining how this weapon will be available in the near future, since Twitch drops were mostly about cosmetics and pre-existing Warframes/weapons tied to MR. Utilizing Twitch drops just to “hype” this condition doesn’t bode well for dedicated Warframe players that don’t have the avenue of Twitch or Amazon to receive this item.

    Guys, don't do this.

Give away free stuff, fine, but NOT NEW, otherwise unaccessible stuff.

This reeks of desperate triple-A, mainstream FOMO tactics.

Want people to be interested? Deliver good content, don't bait with "exclusive" BS.

Cosmetics, sure. Pre-existing weaponry that was obtainable from past events or content, sure. That had been the stance for Twitch drops for a number of years.

But now it’s a weapon tied to MR made into a Twitch drop.

    This is not good.

Twitch or Steam though. Maybe if they watch from Steam it works?

    Think of the console players.

edit: I can name friends of mine living in Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Philippines, Myanmar, etc. that have no access to Twitch or Amazon and exclusively play on console Warframe. They’re gonna be devastated by this bit of news. And they’ve been dedicated players of Warframe for 5+ years just like me.

The description reads as a weapon. Not a skin.

    TWITCH DROPS

Get Hydroid Prime for free by tuning in on Twitch or Steam for 30 consecutive minutes during TennoLive, starting at 5 p.m. ET. Plus, watch any TennoCon panel on Twitch or Steam between 12:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. ET to get the exclusive Athodai hand-cannon, reverse-engineered from propulsion tech to pack a serious kick.

To get your Drops, make sure to link your Accounts! One per account only.

You can only imagine the seething hatred that most of my clanmates will have to go through when they read about this because 1) Twitch doesn’t function in their region of the world, and 2) Twitch Prime or Amazon Prime doesn’t work in their part of the world.

Sure, I’m excited for the Athodai pistol. It’s because I live in the Western Hemisphere where this functionality (Twitch Prime) works. But... man, I don’t know where the rationale was in attaching a weapon tied to MR onto a Twitch Drop was directed from.

  13. It’s funny, because the self-damage on certain Prisms and Scaffolds felt right. They did decent dps output for a low return on self-damage. That should’ve been the concept that DE went with instead of the self-stagger mechanic.

Self-damage just needed to be toned down so that it didn’t one-shot if you were too close to the explosion radius (or have a maximum hardcap on self-damage). It just went from one annoying mechanic to another.

  14. RIP Old Draco. That map was small, compact, not a lot of cover nor having drastic elevations on tileset geometry, and the enemy spawns felt livid and uncapped.

That tileset was the only fun I ever had in a Defense or Interception mission. Now that most of these maps are larger and cover more space, it just feels like a slog sometimes.

  15. Before Archmelee Rivens become a thing, certain Archmelee mods should be fixed accordingly.

Seriously, why is Furor still granting +10% Archmelee Attack Speed to this day? At max rank??

It's not that it'd be hard, more that, besides aesthetics, what would the actual difference be between dual-wielding and not with our instant weapon swapping? On the one hand, Glaives get mid-air throws. On the other hand, they get stuck in a low-quality combo system that has no opt-out. Rapiers and machetes don't have the throw to benefit from, but they certainly could have a bad combo system shoved onto them....

To be fair, that’s a matter of preference with the dual-wielding combo. I actually like the Gun&Glaive generic combo, especially with the Pathocyst.

General benefits could be that attack speed on melee swings would be higher than per usual with stance combos. Maybe enhanced, uninterruptible momentum on melee swings can be a thing (like forward thrusting or forward arced swings). Nothing impressive or game-changing, it just has to be effective.

Another thing that DE can do with Warframe Gun&Sword is that they can tie-in gunshots into the combos just like gunblade’s High Noon. Or do flashy “visual-iframe” switch-ups when melee-to-gunshot or gunshot-to-melee where your character “blinks” for a brief moment when transitioning between the two attack plays (this was done in SAO:FF’s Gun&Sword, it wasn’t mechanically effective but it was flashy).

Really, when you think too much about making it unique the concept either doesn’t get done or it doesn’t get done well. It’s better to have this Gun&Sword pushed toward testing and then work from there than trying to theorize the completed concept.

  17. Low base damage low crit chance Impact heavy shotguns were negatively affected by the shotgun changes. AkBronco Prime, Bronco Prime, Boar Prime, Sobek could utilize 100% status per pellet to scale well, prior to the Status Update. With the status changes in effect and IPS:Elemental proc rates at a 1:1 ratio, they’re merely a shadow of their former selves.

With instant swapping being a thing, Glaives having quite a watered-down "combo" system with a secondary (which has no opt-out!), and machetes and rapiers lacking a throw that can benefit from dual-wielding like Glaives do, I'm not sure it'd be a good idea.

I mean, it'd be nice for an aesthetic change if the Warframe held both. But beyond that...

During the occasional Warframe content drought on consoles, I started playing Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet. Technically the gameplay is a spiritual successor from the PSVita’s popular seller “Freedom Wars” (both developed by Dimps). Anyway, in SAO:FF they were able to make Gun&Sword into a viable gameplay loadout.

You were able to shoot your gun, melee with your sword, ADS via gun, use melee sword abilities, etc. One defining feature was that to reload mid-clip you had to ADS and hit reload/context action to do so, otherwise you can empty your clip to force the automatic reload. Button configurations were somewhat similar to Warframe, with the exception that you were given Valkyr’s Ripline (UPD) for one specific button input and dodge for another specific button when in Warframe this could’ve been narrowed to the dodge/roll input on controllers.

Imho, it’s not at all hard for DE to make Secondary&1-handed-melee into a thing. You don’t necessarily need a gimmick like Glaives with charged throw to be a comparative feature with Gun&1h-melee. It doesn’t have to be super imaginative in its design - it just needs to happen.

Drake is absolutely correct! First feedback I gave about the new moa, was the exact same thing. It must be able to equip the deconstructor for obvious reasons.

I would go a step further and say that all Moas or Robotic Companions should equip Deconstructor. The “only Helios can equip Deconstructor” flag has been a running joke for too many years. This needs to change.

  22. Making the primary Catchmoon’s projectile radius a little wider, if not matching secondary Catchmoon’s projectile size, would be ideal to go with the current PC changes to primary Catchmoon (projectile lifetime extended, damage fall-off extended).

Other than that, I’d love to try it out when Deadlock Protocol hits consoles.
