If you damage a Tusk thumper (any of the 3 types) without hitting the kneecap protectors off (in my case with an explosive weapon such as Tonkor or Kuva Bramma) it bugs and you cannot kill it afterwards. The kneecap protectors stay on, but the explosion damage goes through and when the thumper's health reaches 0 it just stays like that permanently and you cannot shoot off the protectors and kill it. When I did it one of the knee plates fell off and the leg was destroyed but the other 3 stayed on and couldn't be destroyed once the Thumper's hp reached 0.
