This happened to me this morning, actually.

Made me sigh, vent in clan chat and log off.

Somehow I don't think 'log off' is what DE wants.

Well, it has been happening me constantly. I tried it several times and every time something like this keeps happening.

  2.

Really? For what? I'll use my Redneck brain and simplify it onto ground: Lets cut Grind into half > u speed up progress x2 > u reach "final chapter" 2x faster > screaming for new content will start > DE must increase new releases 2x faster to not loose old players > content for new players rises 2x. It's hard to balance content to be friendly for both sides, upcoming new players and not to loose old players. It's hard to balance and posts like " I'm vet Grind is ridiculous then before" doesn't help these situation, of course it was when we had around 10 Frames, 40 weapons and 2 Sentinels because encourages new players to play and I will not speak about a quality of players rushing the content.

Uhh... In the bit I quoted you are saying "Decreasing grind for veterans equals to Increased grind for new players".
It does not take a mathematical genius to see the mathematical equation is untrue.
It should be "Increasing grind for veterans equals to Increased grind for new players".

ALT + F4 and restarting the game before the host migration has been finished should work to keep the prime parts.

Ha ha. Very funny. Somehow I don't believe it would work. I would like to have a solution that fixes the issue, not a workaround that may or may not work. The game is supposed to work like that.

  4. So, you have finally finished a grueling, laggy public Orokin Rift Mission, and you FINALLY get that ultra-super rare Prime part you have been trying to get for last 2 weeks? You click on the reward  to choose it and wait to extract...

    Host Migration in Progress...
Host Migration Failed. Returning you to Multiplayer Menu.
    Updating account information...
Your connection to your squad was interrupted unexpectedly. Do you want to rejoin the squad?
    Session not found.

You look at your reward screen... It is empty.
All the affinity, resources, rewards, the time spent to complete the mission,  EVERYTHING, including the relic, GONE!

This describes my Warframe "experience" for the last few days since I have returned to the game after a long break. Almost every single Rift mission I do to get some Prime parts fails like this. Now, not a very enjoyable experience, IS IT ? So far I don't feel like I am getting much enjoyment out of this game and it is starting to make me feel like not playing anymore. Let's just say the experience while returning to the game has been less than stellar.
How about we FINALLY get a fix to this? I am not the only one having this issue, and to be quite honest it is starting to et incredibly frustrating when I see hot-fixes for PURELY COSMETIC garbage mere minutes after release while the game itself is broken and literally unplayable.

Which one is more important? Cosmetics or ability to play the main game instead of playing with 3D-mannequins, painting them black and red and then standing still in a relay?

I have reduced my ping limit to 175ms, but even that doesn't seem to help. I am behind a 110/10 Mbps VDSL2 connection, UPnP settings are fine and the connection tests fine. My hardware is more than capable of handling the game.

I am MR 21, could probably get to 23 by just doing the tests but can not be bothered to, 3300+ hours in the game so I am not a "noob".

I hope someone working for DE sees this and relays the following message to the team responsible of the game:
Stop fiddling with the skins and fix the game! Your game is not working properly!

  5. Well, it really depends on what you want.

Vigilante Armanents is basically a 60% chance at double damage and double status chance (per pellet).

Vicious Spread is guaranteed to give you an 90% damage boost, but it increases your spread by up to 60%
which can cause some to miss unless your shotgun has a narrow spread or you are at point-blank range.

  6. For being unstoppable you sure got stumped quickly... ;P

Joking aside, if a Rhino is what you really want to craft, you need to go slap Jackal around a few times to get the blueprints for the component blueprints.

There are some more resources you will need to find to build the components.
http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Star_Chart check here where they drop.
You can sometimes get components for Ostron Bounties too, but that is a time-consuming way.

Then plan your route across the star-map to get there or ask for a "taxi" to your desired location in chat.

  7. I feel DE seems to be busier fixing the minor deluxe skin "issues" than game-breaking problems.

MAJOR issues like the "Host Migration in Progress" at the end of Rift missions that result in loss of relic and the rewards. Right now playing Rifts is pointless because 80% of the time I just get "Host Migration in Progress" -> "Connection Lost, returning to multiplayer menu" -> Connection lost, do you want to reconnect to squad?" -> Session Not Found".

But I guess this post will disappear soon and I will get another warning for criticising and "making libelous claims" towards DE.

It is heart-breaking to see how a game I used to love and spend a massive amount of time into fall apart like this.

  8. This happens in Fissure survivals as well. I believe this is a bug with the mission end in general.
What it looks like for me is that as soon as the reward selection pops up the game kicks everyone out and gives all the players host migration message,
followed by host migration failure and returning to "multiplayer menu"

This results in wasted time, lost relic and no reward and everything you looted in the mission is lost as well.

In other words, Fissures seem to be ****ed.

  9. The self-damage is there to add a "risk vs. reward" element that requires utilising at least three functional brain cells to the game.
You have been given a weapon that out-damages almost everything with a massive AOE blast.
Of course there has to be a downside to make it balanced.
The self-damage just makes sense because if the explosive weapon damage was reduced, then the inferior damage,
combined with low fire rate would make the weapons just weak, awkward and cumbersome to use compared to everything else (Convectrix being an exception).
That would remove the unique nature of the launcher weapons.

Before Tonkor got the "nerf" everyone was just running around without a care in the world and spamming them at their own feet or
running point-blank to the enemy like demented suicide-bombers. The only skill required was to be able to run to an object and press a mouse button. :p

Here is a tip if you want to use or get the affinity for the launcher weapon:
Build the weapon, equip it but bring a decent secondary with you, and join a public game. It will level up passively as you play (safe).
If you want to use it, by all means, take a shot or three if you have enough distance to the target but switch to secondary the instant they get to close to medium range.
Treat its power with respect and learn to plan where your nades land and stay away from the "hot" zone.
And remember, if you have a explosion radius increasing mod, it doesn't mean you MUST use it. Think those to be for "special occasions" only.
After a while you learn to use the launchers and you won't even miss the lack of self-damage.

  10. The daily logins do not need to be in a streak anymore. They are now cumulative. So you should only have missed one day for not logging in. Just takes one day longer.
The login reward weapons are pretty nifty so it can feel a bit sucky to have to wait a little longer. But if you have missed a login reward completely (as in gone from, for example day 99 to day 101 and not getting anything in your inventory) then contact support. They may be able to sort it out for you.

  11. Well, there is a bundle-exclusive item (Frysta skin) which got practically tripled in price. If it was available separately (for it's original price)  I would not be too fussed.

Such a pity. It looks quite nice, too.

  12. So, I just saw Frost Harka skin discounted from 165 to 74 platinum.
However this is not reflecting in the bundle that includes Frysta longsword skin.

It would be nice if the prince of the bundle was brought down to reflect to the actual price of the frame skin.

Because right the prices have gone from:

    Bundle Price - 215 Platinum
    Frost Skin - 165 Plat
Frysta Long Sword Skin - 50 plat

    To:

    Bundle Price - 215 Platinum
    Frost Skin - 74 plat
Frysta Long Sword Skin - 141 platinum

Anyone else notice a 91 platinum price hike for the sword skin?
In other words, anyone who wants to buy the bundle for the Frysta skin gets completely shafted because it is not available separately because they have to pay the full price.

Could this be fixed at somepoint so people wanting to purchase the bundle are treated fairly?

I plus that, Now I'm not completely against a rework but as she is right now with skill she is very OP and can kill anything with the right build.

    With Skill.

Skill, that weird thing makes ANY frame seem OP. It also took skill from a player to make a Banshee build work. But once the build was shared between everyone then everyone uses the same cookie-cutter build. That is because people don't want to have fun or use skill, they want to win.

To me, Banshee and her abilities seems to be just fine, aside from Sound Quake. Because for an "ultimate ability" it feels a bit weak. The range could use reducing with increased damage.

Also, one thing I'd like is a BANSHEE PRIME!
Seriously. She has been ignored and pushed aside every time a new Prime comes up. She was one of the "original frames" that were available YEARS AGO. And now another "press 4 to win" frame gets a Prime before it.

  14. Yep, it is driving me up the walls, too. It is there to mainly to annoy. Can't even listen to music without these interruptions while the game updates.
Just like you, Acos, I am NOT going to just sit there staring at the numbers changing at snails space. I have better things to do on my PC while I wait.
I only assume this applies to majority of other Warframe players too.

So please, DE, if you are listening, stop putting annoying auto-tab-cycling with sound into the launcher, or at least add an option to disable it.

(A workaround for now is to mute Warframe from mixer settings. Shouldn't have to do this every time game updates though.)

The backtalk I often get when I say this is "As a new player I shouldn't have to take this long path because you did."

Yes you do. Grow a pair. First gaming world problems.

    P.S.

I also have read many people outright refusing to do Corpus missions because they hate nullifiers and bursas. "they're too hard and cheap"
By avoiding Corpus missions, you are automatically avoiding any means to steadily get Oxium drops from Oxium Ospreys. So it's these specific players' own fault if they complain about not having enough Oxium.

You are assuming a bit much. I haven't got a problem with Oxium myself. I was talking from a new players perspective. And many of them are still trying to get themselves off the ground. It is not easy. Also, you are saying you have 100 million credits. Well, good for you but that is completely irrelevant to the topic at hand. Sure, once you have all of your mods maxed and do sorties with nothing to spend credits on they start to add up. So it is not a real measure of progress or skill. It could all be AFK-farmed on Draco before it was changed for all I know.

The "old content" which is mainly the old weaponry has become weaker and weaker by the day in what Warframe has become today. A lot of the "über" weapons of old have become little more than awkward paperweights because of the power-creep. So it is quite natural a new player would like to have something usable and be able to be able to at least try to do something. I have seen people quit WF because they got bored of running walking after the Embers who just speedrun the mission and and nuke everything in their way, leaving the "little guys" little more to do than pick up loot. That is why a lot of low level players are sporting almost exclusively all-prime gear, because they require almost no resource farming and are more powerful than the "stock" counterparts.

Also, the nullifiers ARE cheap. You can't say they aren't. They are a completely and utterly lorebreaking unit. But that is not the main point. The point is that Oxium ospreys are very well armoured. And they often blow themselves up before a player with weaker weapons can take it down. Another reason for newer players lacking Oxium is that they are usually still unlocking the map and don't want to spend days grinding on a single node.

For real though, make Oxium drop from all flying drones (hence the reason they can fly). Just in lesser amounts than Oxium Ospreys.

Now this is an idea I could support. I think all the drones should have at least a chance to drop a few so that it can just build up over time as players progress trough the starmap. I can not see a reason why this could not be done. "Oxium Osprey" could just mean that they contain an unusually high amount of it.

  16. It is not a problem for me but I can see it being an issue for some newer players when a new toy is introduced in an update and it requires 10k Oxium. Are you saying they should not want to have it too? The current resource requirements sometimes feel like they are a bit skewed, as if the devs are assuming all players have a massive excess of all materials.

Anyway, could we PLEASE get some actual use for those Detonite Ampules, Fieldron Samples and Mutagen Samples? I have close to 20k, EACH and literally NOTHING to use them on. And I get more every day from missions and my useless Distilling Extractors (thanks to them only producing the beforementioned materials 99% of the time)...

  17. I think being able to do a  simulated "practise run" would not be a bad idea. Because watching videos tends to be boring, and it is much more fun to practise with a team. It also helps players to learn to work as a team and to see if their strategy is sound, and allows trying new alternatives.
