  1. People needing to extract early?

99% of the time I have just needed to say "I am awfully sorry, guys, I know you want to carry on but I  got to go.Something just came up. Could we extract at the next 5 minute mark?", and everyone has been happy to extract, and then re-launch their mission and continue without me. There have only been a handful of times when I have been completely ignored in the chat, but I assume that was because of a language barrier. I haven't really had to suffer name calling either.
I usually ask how long the squad wants to go for before we start, so we all can get an idea about what kind of time we aim for, and everything has been going nicely.

As I see it, the problems with individual extractions are a bit tricky. Because the loot inventory for the leaving player would need to be "frozen" for the duration of their countdown. And secondly the Host migrations if the extracting player is the host. These two make it unfeasible.

I think this "problem" is all about the players' general attitudes. Please, try to communicate with your teams, it helps a lot to avoid this sort of frustration.
Because if someone can't stay for more than 5 minutes and the others want to stick around for 60+ minutes, the 5-minute guy can always say "Okay then, I'll just hop to another squad, good luck and have fun!" and disconnect, to go solo or run another pub with people who only want to check the node. There is no need to be dramatic about it.

Of course, the emergencies are different. Then you need to ask others to be understanding and "let you out". If they can't, then sure, you may be stuck for a while or you can just bail (disconnect) and join another match whenever you can continue playing. In a 10, or even 15-minute run it is not a big deal, sure, you may lose a mod or a rare resource, but this is just a game. You can always get it again later.

And I find it despicable to "force extraction" by wasting the LS at 100%, as this only shows the selfishness of the player doing it.

    TL; DR:
Communicate with your team, be polite and ask nicely.
Be polite, be professional, but have a plan to kill everyone you meet. - Sniper, Team Fortress 2

  2. So... I just realised I can't see the standard NM missions anymore either.

Is this just another fun thing stealthily removed? Those were pretty much the only things to do to break the monotony, along with the now-broken invasions.

The standard map NM nodes had various mutators, such as HP drain/vampire mode, timed mission(extra time for kills), low gravity, no map and so on, which made them more varied.

The NM alerts are always no shields, so no variety there. Basically just means you need to grab a frame with some armour and decent HP pool and go to town. Lack of random element in NM makes them so predictable they are easy to beat if you have more than two living brain cells.

  3. Nope, not working here either. Currently only chance you can complete these missions is to hope to get the tileset with a Corpus cave.
I managed to finish the invasion, but only by restarting around 30 times (15+ times in a row) and hoping for a different map layout.

Also, it is worth noting that in missions with breach torpedo no (non-target) enemies are spawned.
Capture target and mission objectives spawn, but nothing else. Capture Target can summon additional enemies (drones, drahks etc), but that's it.

I also noticed the Capture target does not move when confronted.
I think it can not find a path to the escape room (broken assault pod prevents progress).

I think this qualifies as a high-priority fix, yet this has been broken for weeks.
This has made Invasions pretty much unplayable. And they are pretty much the only variety to the monotony of the current missions.

  4. The assault pod / breach torpedo is bugged. Your only chance of completing the mission successfully is determined if you get the Corpus caves as the later half of the mission or if you get a "breach into the Corpus ship (which is screwed)". Also, no enemies spawn in missions with the breach torpedo tube.

Seriously, I'd imagine this to be a high priority fix as this makes the invasions borderline unplayable.
To get 3 completions I had to abort and restart 20-30 times over 1½ hours, sometimes 15+ times in a row.

  5. To add my opinion to this, I also dislike the Synoid Scrublord, and its standard variant, in the sense that it literally gives me a migraine in less than 5 minutes because of the constant ear-rape and particle effects. I refuse to resort into using it unless I absolutely have to (the stage when everything else is completely ineffective, but Scrublord still works fine).

But that is not the only reason. I have done many sorties in the past, and several times, a clueless Mirage brings their Synoid Scrublord into a mission with "RADIATION DAMAGE" modifier, promptly insta-wiping the whole squad when they get hit by enemy fire. If the Simulor vortexes don't get you, the AOE syndicate effect will.

This weapon is the most ridiculously overpowered weapon, even in sorties, and fundamentally broken by design. It just negates the need for having any skill whatsoever and replaces it with mindless button mashing as you run around like a headless chicken while everything just falls over.

Personally this weapon needs some nerfing. I'd start by cutting down the AOE range a little and adjusting the vortex damage. And limiting simultaneous projectiles to 3 or 4, maybe even 5 before having to detonate them and the resulting vortex.

Kavats have energy though so if you know what you're looking for you don't really need the scanner, that and half the time they're already fighting something else in the mission.

Well, they also seem to be more likely to spawn in certain tiles. Once you learn them it gets a bit easier.

Oh, well, I guess it is time to go back to it. "Gotta catch them all!" and all that.

  7. I decided to take a while to try to obtain some Kavat Genetic Codes for a couple of hours.

The thing is, the Kavats are a limited spawn, so they don't spawn in any great numbers. And they are invisible so you have to keep looking through the scanner..
So off I went and spent the next three hours in the Orokin Derelict with the Scanner glued to my face as I looked for those elusive invisible kitties.
This went on for a while, and at one point it all clicked and I came to a realisation...
Tait, isn't this what people do now for fun in real life too, walking and staring at the screen constantly and trying to catch invisible monsters?

...Yep, that's right. We are playing the Warframe equivalent of friggin' Pokemon Go.

Of course, my reaction to this sudden revelation was...

Sigh. We waited so long for this update and... we get a virtual Pokemon Go. :D

I am talking about regular old void missions giving traces, NOT fissures. Fissures would only be for opening your relics.

So, with "normal" Voids you mean the missions on the "Void" planet?

Okay, well that sounds a little better. But how about making corrupted eximus type enemies in the Void drop the traces,
regardless of the mission type or if there is a fissure on the mission or not?
This would make the "normal" Void missions worth playing at all.

T2 Survival for one hour with friends was really really really really fun and you got some rewards along the way - Who ever thought up the idea to change it ---Why? What was your true motive?

Yeah, that is how I feel too. Now there is no point staying there for anylonger than it takes to close the fissure, 5-10 minutes tops. I literally used to play 40 minute T3's to level my unranked stuff, and to get 2 or more prime parts. Now... "Nope, you get one part and that's it. What, you are still here? Get the f*** out of my Void!". The long endless missions were almost fun, even with the ridiculous RNG because it was also about taking a risk and pushing your limits to see how long you can manage.

    we have roll controls

bind your 2nd Hold to crouch button to something other than Ctrl (Ctrl is AW down so it overrides the Hold to crouch)

then Hold to crouch + A/D will make you rotate

Did you read my post at all? I said the modifier key won't be good enough. It is too awkward to use comfortably.
It renders you unable to use the sideways movement and makes it impossible to do certain aerobatic manoeuvers
that allow avoiding incoming enemy fire (similar to snap rolls, aileron rolls and barrel rolls).

There comes a point where you binge a game so much that you out-do its content. Take a week off, you'll come back ready to kill some grineer scum.

Last time I did that, it was much longer than a week... And I still felt apprehensive. And it has gotten worse.

  12. 1) Yes, my motivation to play the game has been dwindling because the updates are always a huge disappointment
and the developers don't seem to know what kind of game they want Warframe to become.

    2) Yes. The amount of grind has been going up exponentially with each update.
Also the old weaponry seems more or less useless now, thanks to the constant powercreep.

I have been playing this game since U7.3, a few weeks after it entered open beta. But as the grind increases, my motivation decreases. I have burned myself out on this game, literally. Every day I still log on, but I have great difficulty even looking at the missions because all they instill in me is anxiety and frustration because deep inside I know the RNG is going to suck and yet another day passes without me feeling like I accomplished nothing at all in the game that day. Running mission after mission, running voids in the hopes of finding that prime part. I have more resources than I know what to do with. The only thing that I lack is Argon,

And even that I don't feel like grinding for because it will just melt away before DE releases something for me to use it on. And the new primes pile on top, adding into the grind...

This game has mutated into a monstrosity, and all the things I used to enjoy about it are being stripped away, one by one, leaving behind nothing but grind and paywalls. For me, Warframe stopped being fun over a year ago. But I try to play the game I have invested so much of my time, and I admit, money too. But I fear this new DNA sequence grind may be too much for even me to endure and be the one thing that finally will make me snap.

Most of my friends are from WF community, and if I stopped, I'd be left alone in a social void. Without them I wouldn't have anyone.
But every day, the familiar names in the clan and alliance list get fewer and fewer...

I feel tired. Warframe, what happened to you? Where did it all go wrong?
I don't think I will be quitting, but I will mostly be on for social interaction, not for the game itself.

I really hope DE will remember their promise of reducing the grind they made a long time ago...
I can't remember which Prime Time it was, but I think it was Steve who promised their goal will be to work on reducing the grind...
At least that is what I remember.

  13. If anything, I'd prefer it to be much faster. Or even better, give us roll left/right controls so that we can control it ourselves.

Why give us 6 degrees of freedom in 3D space like in Descent if you only give us 2D controls? I know there is a roll key in the options,
but it seems to be a modifier key that needs to be held down. No, a modifier key is not enough.
Give us roll left/right and then the new AW might become playable for people like me who cut our teeth on games like Elite, Elite II: Frontier, Warhead and Descent.
It might also make people less nauseous.

But if you insist on keeping the auto-leveling, at least make the sensitivity and speed adjustable from the options. The roll keys would be preferrable. Thank you.

it was boring.  I took a rhino and practiced avoidance and popped LS now and then, bouncing bots out of the way with my sonicor.

You do realise the alert was Melee only? So how were you able to use a Sonicor if it is not even allowed in the load-out?
I call BS on this story.

  15. Did this with a squad of 2 ivaras, both equipped with a dagger with Covert Lethality.

Seemed easy once we managed to find a spot where enemies crowd in a tight clump, activate prowl and get some of the needed LS that way Surely you will get some from the group swarming you two standing close to each other. And then use sleep arrows to open finishers.

Me and my clanmate finished with something like 30% on the LS meter and one unactivated pod.
Would have been able to stretch the LS even more, but the enemies stopped spawning completely with something like 2:30 left on the timer.

I have to admit this was not the best alert ever. It required absolutely no skill and relied too much on RNG and cheese, and will surely cause many players to give up in frustration.

But it is doable, managed to pub it with a rank 20 Chroma as well, with a Redeemer. Redeemer was fairly useless but I Spent most of the time running after LS or standing in place to bait enemies in one large pile for other players to have easier time killing them.

My question is how you did this by killing nothing. Locker opening w doggos ans sahasa to dig ls? Needs explaining.

I'd only imagine he ran around the level using the life support pods when needed, and broke all the containers for the extra life support, and never let the LS go 100% or over. That way you can maximise the time you can survive with the limited resources.
