Welp,RNG is probably just as annoying if not more.Especially when it comes to getting the rarest part on a particular relic.I mean even if you use a max refinement on a relic there's still a chance you won't get it because everyone may be going for something different.I wish yoU luck to your pubs.May RNGESUS shine upon you.

Wait what it is like a vote now? Not tried it yet so I don't know, but that is what it sounds like. O_o

  2. Here, have some punctuation marks. Put them on your post, please, or have an adult help. :P

Jokes aside, for the most part I do agree with your rant (What I could make out of it.
They made a bit of a mess of this update and changed the very base mechanics very drastically.

Just a question, what happens if there are 4 players in a squad,
but one of them decides the troll the rest and not take a key, yes I call them as such, with them.
And when the others in the team spend their 3 keys total on the fissure and the fourth goes "trololo! 404 key not found lol!"?
Are the 3 keys wasted all for nothing?

  3. ...when is Warframe coming out of beta? This has been a beta quite long enough thankyouverymuch :P

The new starmap is a bit too.. sensitive, and the head of the frame trashes and flails uncontrollably on the background, sometimes twisting 80 defgrres and then popping between their shoulders, ansd then the face of the frame pops out of their chest like an Alien Chestburster...

The starmap... Didn't we have this kind of thing in U7? Very similar to it at least.

Addendum: WF befins to remind me of the design of FireFall... At least here we don't lose everything we have every 3 months when they redo everything and literally every aspect the game mechanics is a**ebackwards. :P

Eh... What are you smoking? Can I have some too?  Seriously, it is quite confusing to navigate, and getting to where you want takes a lot of clicks, and takes a long time.
Now the screen estate is mmostly dedicated for diorama with pretty pictures designed to lure the attention span challenged goldfish, hoping someone bites and throws their money and panties at them. The menu navigation is also very slow and awkward way, because you will have absolutely no clue if you are going in the right direction in the "tree" when you look for something in particular. I don't particularly fancy having to mash my keyboard to find my stuff, Sure it is nice to have but it is the only good thing on Market atm.

I'd like to see more screen estate for the shop inventory and categories sorted in a more logical way.

It's their game, if they want they can change every frame into pink pony.

    Hey, I'll support that!

,,,Yes Pinkie, the PInkieframe is confirmed.

  5. Just perfect. Now get it the magician hat, glue on a beard and...

    tumblr_mq51elNTfo1srarguo1_400.gif

Damn,  now I want my own (FFS DE censoring R-word... Fine I'll use PC term) Developmentally challenged murderkitty.

  6. Okay, so apparently it is an uncommon core I got a bit miffed about. So I may have been mistaken about the reward item, thought it might have been an "Unique" rarity core, ie. Legendary It is not quite as apparent or easy to see the difference between that and uncommon. Unless Legendary is a L core...

Okay then, no big loss.. But the core reward is a bit meh. I usually brought home at least one or two per mission as just drops before update, no idea how much has changed since. Sure, one guaranteed core for a mission, that's nice I guess. Not like I get them from any mission, sometimes even lower difficulty so... Leads into a reaction "Meh, A common1 Core. Oh well, lets see if the credits are good and mission isn't too hiiiooowwhoa-okay lvl 38-45corpus Survival, f***that can't be bothered for a core and a few credits" :P

I've done a couple missions but would need to see if it "normal" core droprate is still as consistent as it was.

Oh well. At least you guys tried Next time, try adjusting the randomizer to hand them out in at least multiples of 3 or 5 and minimum max rank for their rarity.

No offense but that is a bit weak. But I appreciate the effort.

  8. Go check your inventory.for legendaries, just in case it is a visual bug. It could be one of those.

But if it is really an Uncommon1, then

But DE, what were you thinking, releasing an update of 4.2 gigabytes and then slap up a 40 minute alert for something unusual?
Most of us are stuck downloading the update at 500kb/s and finish a coupe of hours after it expires. That is just spitting down on "poor people" from your ivory tower. Seriously guys...

  9. Having to resort to non-stop cheesing everything to get trough sorties. And the following knee-jerk reaction nerfs that remove the said (technically valid) tactics by nerfing the abilities beyond useless without adjusting the difficulty to not require exploiting the sh17 out of game mechanics just to not have the whole squad get insta-gibbed by a couple of stray enemy bullets. Seen it happen to one frame after another, and still someone always comes up with another way to cheese the missions.

...And lack of mission variety in general. I want the old "Raid" type mission we had back in U7 times. Hopefully the new update will have something to entertain me. Current gameplay is just so stale like day-old oatmeal.

  10. I am definitely going to recommend a very mobile frame with a throwing weapon or Redeemer.
Redeemer can make this task trivial as it can break those orbs and take down enemies from quite a distance with its charge attack.
Glaive, Kestrel and Halikar are not bad choices either but are a matter of preference.

As the enemies are Infested, you don't really need to run after them.
They usually start running towards you as soon as they see you.
An Ember can trivialise the enemies as they will get set on fire or just die as soon as they get in range.
Alternatively you can run around until you have gathered all enemies within short range and hit 4 to blow everything up at once.
Other frames with AOE damage ability such as Equinox's Maim can work too.

In short, grab an Ember and Redeemer/Glaive, and just concentrate on getting all the orbs. Enemies will run to you anyway. When you want to get rid of the enemies/ gathered them near you hit 4 to blow sh*t up,

http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Mastery this page has information of all mastery tests and hints/tips for completing them, and a short video giving you an idea how to complete them.

  11. I actually kind of like Combas, at least they have some variety ad they aren't quite as cheeesy as Nullifiers. The only thing I would change about the Combas would be adding a visible effect radius indicator and LOS requirement. And maybe reducing their HP a bit to make them more like glass cannons.

Nullies can be taken out with any rapid-fire weapon as it normally takes 10-15 shots for the bubble to collapse and then you can just pop its head off (seems to be number of hits to the shield, not damage, and it shrinks at a fixed rate, and any extra shots are wasted) or by bullet-jumping into the bubble and spin-attacking them at point-blank range if you are feeling particularly adventurous.

  12. Mr 21 and can't complete a Mastery Rank 8? Well, that is a bit embarassing, but I am not one to judge. But seriously, he needs to practice his parkour skills a little bit more. Basically that test is easy as pie once you use bullet-jump and aim-glide. And learning to chain slide, bullet jump and double jump, extended with aim-glide together makes you able to fly distances you could never ever dream possible.

And if you are using a controller, ditch it and use keyboard/mouse, at least for the test.

I do admit that I screwed it up a few times too, but that is because I tried to rush it and messed up some stupidly easy jumps because I was a bit stressed and nervous. Those were real facedesk moments for me, but then I realised it is no big deal and tried it in a relaxed mindset, and BAM! Done. If you have trouble, there is a place on Relay to practise every mastery rank test that you have unlocked so there is no excuse to not succeed eventually. You have unlimited practise runs, but you can also do the actual test there once every 24 hours (like you normally do). If you have problems finding where, go to Relay, head over to Cephalon Simaris's room and it is the long corridor that leads up on the right.

    7 hours ago, Ciaus said:

Practice in relay + use soma or some large clip high accuracy semi to full auto weapon for easy aim, and install rush and glide mods. Totally doable without all of that, that just makes it a guaranteed easy win with a bit of practice.

I agree Soma is not really needed, if you can hit the broad side of a barn with a gun, even a Paris will do. There is no time limit so you can take all the time you need to shoot the orbs. I used Excaliderp and Braton MK-1. Because nostalgy.

    This test IS a joke.

Truly nothing compared to the other parkour tests.

Want to pass any of them?

Gain access to the simulacrum and practice your tests before attempting them.

    BOOM, DONE!

Simulacrum access is not required for mastery test practise runs.

  13. CC is your best bet. When enemies are flailing with ants in their pants they are not a threat to anyone.

I usually go with a pretty basic build with some duration and efficiency and I have never had any problems with any mission. You can actually get pretty far without the potato, and just the base mods.

This is my usual build (potato and a forma (or two, can't remember right now):

    Basic mods

    Steel Fiber, Armoured Agility, Vitality.

These give you a lot of armour and enough HP to ensure survival in almost all situations.
Armoured Agility is a very useful NM mod which any tank frame should have. Easy to get and it pops up on alerts fairly often.

    Rage
     - You have no shield so any hit you take tops up your energy. You have no excuse whatsoever to use Flow, you never need more than 150 base energy. Just get shot up to top up.

    IntensifyConstitution/Primed Continuity), StreamlineStretch
      - These should give you enough Strength, Duration, Knockdown Recovery, Efficiency and Range without any major drawbacks.
I'd personally go for Constitution as that gives you 28% Power Duration (more than enough) and 40% Knockdown Recovery.

    Exilus slot
      - Choice of Coaction/Cunning/Power/Speed Drift, depending on preference.
Aura STR/EFF, Mobility/Power Range, Power STR/Knockdown Resist or Sprint+Cast speed.
      - Handspring is also a viable option if you are happy with the abilities. Then you can swap Constitution for Primed Continuity if you want, but Constitution+Handspring makes Inaros "Neo" on steroids, backflipping all over the place and recovering almost instantly.

    Aura:
-Shield Disruption or Corrosive Projection, depending on enemy type. Anything but Energy SiphonDo NOT, I repeat, do NOT use Energy Siphon! You have Rage!

This build makes you quite fast moving and tanky frame and allows you to spam Desiccate, Devour and Scarab Swarm almost to your hearts content, as long as you can control the damage you take. But you have absolutely amazing CC abilities to control it. If you play this frame right, you are almost unkillable unless you have an absolutely colossal sh*t-for-brains moment and do something really stupid. :P

Please take note that this is just a generic template concentrating on survival, CC and outlasting the enemy, not dealing massive amounts of damage.. Modify it how you like.

    How to use:

    Desiccate:
If you need to heal up, throw some sand in the eyes of the enemies (Desiccate) and do some melee finishers with a melee weapon with maxed Finishing Touch and you should be full in a couple of easy kills (Best way to kill heavy enemies in the "end-game" IMO, can be repeated until enemy dies).

    Devour:
It can be used for quick healing up when you are not facing many enemies, or it can be used to give you a temporary invulnerability in a pinch until help can arrive. Perfect for single-target CC. Also makes it a free heal station to the whole team. The great thing about the ability is that It also stops those pesky Bursas dead in their tracks once you cast it on them!
P.S. Sand Minions need a serious duration buff! ;)

    Sandstorm:
Is a song by Darude Is not actually not quite as useless as they claim. It gives you a fairly nice damage reduction, and Rage will keep it fueled as long as you are taking some damage from the enemy. Can be used to mass CC and reducing incoming damage when you need it. And together with Devoured targets it will heal you.

    Scarab Swarm:
The ultimate tool to lock down and to stop massive groups of enemies. Throw one at a strong enemy in a choke-point such as a narrow passage or a doorway, but don't kill the target (it is like a totem in that respect). Everything that wanders in the range will be CC'd, and you can wander into the scarab field for quick health top-up. With rage you can stand in the middle of a Swarmed group and face-tank everything that is shooting at you from range.

    An example about that below.

    Spoiler

I have tried "Scarab Tanking" with Second Dream quest and the Stalker could not kill me, I didn't know what I was meant to do so I tanked him for something like 20 minutes (with some dodging, evading and using my abilities to stay healed up) until I got bored and aborted the mission :P
I also did this with the lvl 100 Sortie Lephantis with an unpotatoed Inaros. And Lephantis's second phase literally could not kill me as I stood on a platform right in front of him with some swarmed runners, chargers and leapers around me. Guess who put a potato on the Inaros after that mission?

Edit: Now that I look at my build I noticed it is very similar to the OPs build. I must be doing something right :D

  14. My suggestions:

1:Check to see if your monitor and game refresh rates match.

2: Turn down some effects in the game, such as Motion Blur, Depth of Field, Bloom and Glare and Colour Correction.

3: Adjust the gamma and contrast values of the game to your specifications.

3: If your warframes use very bright energy colours some spell effects can cause pretty intense effects causing eyestrain, in my experience neon colours are the worst offenders here. (Imagine standing inside Frost snow globe with white energy colour vs. dark blue/dark gray). When playing Ember/Nova/excalibur I tend to try to find a "broken" or "washed" colour that is more pleasing to the eye, while still having some visibility.

4: Check your weapons. If you use energy weapons the projectiles can cause eyestrain, so turn them down to something that is still visible, but gentler to the eye. Feel free to experiment to find something that you enjoy using the most.

5: Make sure you there is some ambient lighting in the room.

6: When I was having my worst period of eyestrain-related headaches I bought myself a pair of Gunnar gaming glasses (+0.2, yellowish tint) they did help a lot. A cheap alternative for this, if you are using a PC is a free tool called "f.lux". It changes the display colour temperature by reducing the amount of blue on the screen slightly when sun sets, creating a very similar effect. It is worth a try.

  15. If you have a multishot and at least 75% status chance the odds are that you will proc a status with almost every shot you take. It might be something like 1 time out of 10 when ir wouldn't.

As far as I know the status can not go over 100%. But personally I'd say 75-85% is more than enough on single shot weapons like Lex Prime, Vaykor Marelok and bows, and 40-50% on a full-auto weapon like Afuris, Akzani, Akstiletto, Soma, Braton, Burston and the like.

  16. Maybe as a boss enemy, but without those stupid invulnerability phases to make it more varied in terms of gameplay. They should have weakspots with destroyable armour too.

But I'd like to see them being generally large enough to be unable to fit into small corridors and tunnels, so that players can effectively use cover and use at least some sort of tactics against them. The battle in Binary Domain against the Spider was a good example (video below) of a well-done boss.

    Spoiler

    mlfw2181-13263075877881.gif

I am so sick and tired of Excalidurrs spamming EB endlessly from the second they spawn.

Here is an example of what I usually hear in 80% of the game with Excaliderps and it literally gives me a migraine. (Click to reveal):

    Spoiler

    *Players spawn in*

*Excalidork runs into a crate activates the autoclicker macro and starts to spam EB, while still running into the crate*

    Excalidurr: SWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISH!
    SWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISH!

Me: Uh, there aren't any  enemies, what are you-

    Excaliderp: SWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISH!
    SWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISH!

    Me: Oh come o-

    Derp: SWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISH!
    SWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISH!

    Me: OH COME ON!

    Excalihurr-durr: SWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISH!
    SWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISH!

*20 minutes pass, I have muted the audio at 3 minute mark and the derp is still swinging at it*

    Me: Are you there?

    Excaliderp: SWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISHSWISH!

    Me: Okay...

If I drop a squad early on, itis usually because of them. My ears can not tolerate it.

Right now Excalibur is the most ridiculously broken frame there is, because :
    A) EB does not require line of sight and passes trough solid obstacles.
    B) EB has a ten billion kilometer range.
    C) Innate, free short duration Radial Blind slide attack.
    D) The energy cost is negligible.
    E) It deals ridiculous damage.
    F) It requires absolutely no skill whatsoever to press 4 in the beginning of the mission, run behind a crate or a corner and spam melee (activate a keyboard macro) for the rest of the mission.

Despite of all these points most of the EB-Excaliderp players just plain SUCK when you get to higher level content. Because that is ALL they know how to do. Just walk around in circles and spam. It doesn't come as a surprise that they are usually the first ones to be incapacitated. They never learned to do anything else. Once in a blue moon you may see a Radial Blind from them, but that is because of the EB slide attack causing a short duration blind.

Excalibur EB should be nerfed to have:
    A) LoS requirement (no spamming trough walls).
    B) Short to medium range.
    C) Much higher energy cost.
    D) MAKE THAT EAR-GRATING, INFERNAL SWISHING NOISE STOP!

Or alternatively scrap EB completely as it is and just make it a channel-able  energy sword with a small damage multiplier and with the current energy cost.

    TL;DR:

It is time to put an end to this "press 4 to win" n00bframe and make it actually require the players learn some actual skill.

  18. Let me ask ask Gamer Luna...

    Spoiler

    mlfw2660_medium.png

Okay, the Princess has spoken. answer is no.

Jokes aside, I wouldn't personally mind this, but I would like to be able to set an option in game options if I want to participate in cross-platform games. That way everyone could choose their preference.

But as has been stated earlier, it is not an easy task to achieve and might not be worth all that trouble in the end. It would also bring delays on having to optimise all patches for two, or even three different platforms at the same time. This would severely impact the PC players and the frequency of the hotfixes, which DE is known for would be much slower as a result too. And then there is that XBL/PSN rift that is a whole different can of worms.
