Interesting, I wouldn't count that out CannyJack.
Yea, the game is just filled with allusions and connections to other media. I've been seeing a bunch people mention things all the time. Recently for instance "shivenis : Kinda space Guns of Icarus" talking about the new stuff Steve was showing during his great Sunday stream (have you heard of it ;)).
(I've actually gatto say hello to the forums, but I was too eager to start posting.) -
I am pretty sure that Ray revealed what the next prime would be in primetime 150.

whoah, your right inarticulate. haha I thought otherwise for quite some time. plus you came up with what it really might refer to, nice.

DE can make "fixes" like this to eliminate a great deal of bad luck for those of us who fall prey to it, pretty neat.

Whats up, Warframe is a modern game which, amongst other things, has drawn upon many sources as inspiration. Far out, I'm curious what references Warframe has made to other media, and what some of it is inspired by. Here's a couple things I've noticed.
Ordis resembles Wintermute. The Cephalon are inspired by the artificial intelligences in the famous "Cyberpunk Bible" Neuromancer. Here's a couple quotes from the book (possible spoilers?):
"`You ever try to crack an AI?'
`Sure. I flatlined. First time. I was larkin'~, jacked up real
high, out by Rio heavy commerce sector. Big biz, multina-
tionals, Government of Brazil lit up like a Christmas tree. Just
larkin'~ around, you know? And then I started picking up on
this one cube, maybe three levels higher up. Jacked up there
and made a pass.'
`What did it look like, the visual?'
`White cube.'[...]"
"They ascended lattices of light, levels strobing, a blue flicker.
That'll be it, Case thought.
Wintermute was a simple cube of white light, that very
simplicity suggesting extreme complexity.[...]"
Lua is the name given to the moon in The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch by the great Sci-fi author Philip K. $&*^. As a side note in this book one of the main plot elements is a hallucinogenic drug called Can-D which allows the citizens to control mini dolls, a bit like the operator which controls Warframes, allowing them escape the dull environment of Mars and move about a simulation of Earth (as a matter of fact "simstim" from Neuromancer could also be an influence on Warframe). $&*^ was a very influential Sci-fi writer so I wouldn't be surprised if his work has inspired Warframe in multiple ways. Also there is a node on Mars named after a book of his "VALIS".
Please share any allusions or sources for inspiration which have caught your attention. -

Skip to 3:05 if you want to cut to the chase.

Requiring 5 thousand Mutagen Samples to research a weapon blueprint does seem a bit disproportional. Is it even the best weapon in the game?

The shadows of Tenno do not behave realistically in the Dojo and inside Ordis. The shadows behave as if a flame were in the room.
