updated the first post with a third edit to explain that there was a second hotfix for the wings and with info on what they do now. included what we want as well, since DE might not read the whole thread and might focus on just the original post. :)

bumping this because DE really needs to know that we're still unhappy with the outcome and their current resolution.
this compromise doesn't give us what we originally paid for, while yes i'm happy something was done at all, it's still not what i shelled $7 out for.
please give us the option to have the wings reverted to when they were bugged, give us a toggle feature, a second syandana, whatever is best, just let everyone be able to pick and choose how they want the wings to be. the wings closing in missions doesn't fix much as we're in a mission probably 90% of the time, i won't get to see my wings open and as they were from the beginning.
please hear us out DE and give us a toggle or a second syandana.

i really hope they give us a toggle or give us a reverted version. i don't want to refund in hopes that we get what we thought we were paying for, but at this point it doesn't look like its going to happen. :/ it's really disappointing, i wish they'd listen to us but i get the feeling they're very set with how it is currently.
i do think having them open in the preview again is misleading as they'll close once someone enters a mission and they'll not be frustrated since that's not what they thought it was.
i just feel that the best solution is a toggle feature or 2 versions of the syandana, this way everyone is happy. it might require extra coding but happy customer base >>>>>> coding

please just give us a toggle option. :( we really want them open especially during missions since that's where we're at 90% of the time.

i'm really hoping that at this point they just give us a toggle option, that way everyone is happy. people who want them open can have them open, people who want them closed can remain closed. i want to ask for a refund, but at the same time i want to see what happens. :( i'm so bummed haha.

Simple fix, they had it in the game for 4 days one way? now they have it in the game the other way? Release both as separate syandanas.

I'm personally not a fan of the response they gave where there gonna make it default open on non combat tilesets and have the bullet jump open on combat tilesets. I like them open and I spend more time in combat tilesets, this also doesn't fix the fact that they are closed while in Titania's fairy form.exactly! either two syandanas, or a toggle feature. like it can't be ignored that the reason why people bought the syandana was because of the huge open wings, that's what made people buy it. it should be reverted to the way it was. :/ i had friends who don't even play the game who i showed screenshots to saying that they loved it!

It's just a cosmetic item, it's not game-breaking in any way, sheesh.

since i have made the comparison a few times, i figured throwing this together in mspaint could help others who see/understand better with visuals.
with the sari syandana forcibly closed, it looks just as the other capes do but had a price tag of $7 and has a butterfly pattern. we bought it because it was wildly different from everything else, but now feels like a carbon copy of old syandanas.

and also, just ignore those trying give us a hard time about being disappointed/upset! we bought something that, when previewed, had the wings wide open. when it's previewed, that's what it's expected/accepted to look like and that's why people bought it. people bought it because of the huge wide-open wings, not to look like a cockroach.
many people are bringing up the clipart, yes it's closed in the clipart. the open wings would not have been able to show detail in the clipart and it wouldn't have looked as clean. saying that because it's closed in the clipart, we should have expected it to be closed is asinine. the valkyr prime clipart shows her with venka prime, does that mean everyone who gets her (by building, not PA) automatically gets venka prime? no, so what is in the clipart is different from what you actually get. what is in the clipart of the sari syandana is different from what we got and we were delighted! and it's what we bought, we bought it for the big open wings, not for what looks like plat-bought longtime syandanas that have been in the market for ages.

And wow! I didn't except this thread to get any traction haha. Thank you for your support, I really hope they give us a toggle option because having them only open in my ship/in relays still leaves us with them being closed 90% of the time, the whole point of the game is to run missions, that's what we're generally doing, having them closed during then still kills the original intent of the syandana.
Please give us a toggle feature instead so that those who want it opened can have it open and those who want it closed can have it as such.

It's a unique item with a unique function that is new to us, so we will be adjusting it in the near future to have the wings stay open by default in non-mission environments (Landing Craft, Relays, Dojo, etc.).

I and many others are happy that there will be a change, but a grand majority of us would really, really prefer a toggle option to just have them open permanently as they were before they were fixed. A toggle option seems to be the most agreed upon compromise, and the best thing to do. The open/close mechanism is already implemented into the game, a toggle option doesn't seem like it would require a lot of effort (meaning it's not going to take 10+ people to fix, not that anyone is lazy or anything like that!) and is the best option for players at this point.
Please really consider a toggle option, I want my wings open permanently (of course not when aiming, bullet jumping, etc.) as nobody can visit my ship, and I don't hang out in relays. :(
Again, thank you for your response, I genuinely hope that a toggle feature will be introduced so I can be an elegant butterfly once again. TT TT

Not too sure why my thread about the Sari Syandana was deleted with 0 notification of doing so (imo it looks fishy).Multiple people in the thread were voicing their complaints about the syandana now being closed rather than open, and were requesting a toggle feature to have them open permanently.A lot of people are requesting them be open while jumping, or flying (Titania) but I still want to reiterate the fact that I and many others bought this syandana for the idle open wings. I had zero issues, it didn't block my menu, it didn't block while shooting, it didn't block anything for me and that seems to be the case for a lot of people.
DE please give us back our wings, give us a toggle feature so we can have them either open or closed, I didn't pay for an overpriced Bombyx, Foxglove, Izavara, Nelumbo, or Sami syandana.
EDIT: the post was moved into a different subsection of feedback, i've not posted much in the warframe forums before, so was caught offguard by the "no permission" message. ty DeltaPhantom for clearing this up. :)

i get the unfortunate feeling that it won't be refunded no matter what. :/ and tbh i'm really sad since i really loved that syandana lmao. part of me wants to make my own and say that under no circumstances other than shooting, opening up menu, etc. should they be closed.

So...they were supposed to stay open?? ffs, just change it back, people bought it for the open wings not for them to be closed constantly.

here's to hoping something happens. :/ i really hope they give us a toggle because it really sucks! i went back to using the maharliqua syandana on valkyr but it just doesnt have the same feeling :( i'd definitely prefer a toggle over a refund.
