I mean there is a large body of water between you and Digital Extremes.

Sure, but they've not even shipped it yet. I do expect it'll take time to get to me, but like no reason for it to not be shipped, when the last e-mail said they'd ship them by the end of November or something.

The last e-mail i got was the automated response when i asked them a while back if the shirt was coming. ive also gotten no shirt or any other email from them. Maybe its because i only ordered the shirt and not the statue bundle?

I've only ordered the T-shirt too, as when they made the pre-order (almost a year ago... ugh), I didn't want to spend that much money before x-mas on myself; so I ordered that T-shirt as a little memento at least. Kinda sucks there's been no update for us.

  3. Would love to have my Valkyr sentient in an Umbra-fashion, but as a 24 hours thing? Doesn't seem as good. If it's a permanent thing - great.
I know they said they are rethinking this, and plan to add another reward instead, but really - I hope they'll add the Umbral Echo or w/e it's called, as a permanent possible upgrade. Not as much for playable reasons as far as I'm concerned, but as a precious little thing for my most favorite Warframe. :satisfied:

  4. Having the same problem. I'm not sure if I got the NW reputation, as I didn't check it before the mission, but the NW doesn't tick off as completed, despite of it being announced as complete in my mission.

EDIT: It registered as completed after running it a second time. Still a bit wonky, but at least it worked in the end.

  5. I don't enjoy K-Drives, and the fact they're tied to Mastery progress is just... not the best design decision. That's why I use Archwing to move over the open maps instead. There's nothing else to it, really. Nerfing Itzal comes along to add up to these bad design decisions. They could literally improve K-Drives and other means of transportation... but choose to do a nerf of something instead. I'm not a fan of such attitude, in the slightest.

  6. More options don't hurt anyone - I am all for more options for the characters/Operators. (Unfortunately, from practical standpoint, it involves more work, which is why we don't have it yet).

To me, I'd prefer if faces were removed from specific bodies - ie. I like one face, but it's attached to male body automatically & I'd like to use it with a character that's intended to be a female - quite honestly, some combinations of 'male' faces look better than what we have for female faces.

Also, as long as said 'male' hair continue to be useable regardless of gender, I'm good. I've wanted short hair option that doesn't look emo for quite a while, long hair just don't cut it for me. Was happy to see the new hairdo they showed on Friday devstream for this reason. DE, take my plat and give me these awesome tomboyish spikes, o-em-gee.

  7. I'd very much like this too. Having my Valkyr Prime to run around freely, after applying the Umbral polarity. :inlove:

Also - Given how much stuff they have planned, it's unrealistic to expect a new Umbra 'frame anytime soon, so it'd be shame if only one Warframe had this little 'passive'; and this would let people to get their favorite Warframe exactly that - I hope they'll give us more Umbral mods instead, that will be useful on other 'frames too, so that umbral polarity is not just for like 3 Warframe mods.

  8. Being a Valkyr main with over 3k hours in mission time with her (yes, she's basically the only 'frame I play, bite me, haha) - Whatever they do, if ever, with Valkyr, they better not touch Warcry. It's bread and butter of fun for Valkyr, when combined with Eternal War augument and perhaps that one ability, that work fantastic for her. I would perhaps like if the slow-down of enemies was functional on sight, rather than on cast, so she'd have some CC capability that could be benefical for the teamplay, but otherwise, Warcry is in a fine spot for her.

I personally am not a fan of Hysteria; its' invulnerability part is the reason it got the treatment of increased Energy drain over time, plus the casting speed is just terrible, in an event you only use Hysteria for self-heals <--- My case until I got better ways of self-heals, that aren't Life Strike or other gimmick. Sadly, I have no answer to this ability, as to what'd make it more appealing to me. A side note, it sometimes glitches to the point that I am unable to attack, or cast any ability when using it in the quick sequence of turn on and then off.

I would love to see some synergy for her abilities perhaps, that complement and support melee-gameplay even further. Paralysis is not all that useful in its' current state either and Ripline.. I only use to joke around & ripline my best friend to Extraction.

In my tangential defense, no one is purely melee or guns only. I was being maybe overly simplistic and/or eager to provide a point for emphasis . But nevertheless, good catch.

I have been melee only; for the last three years, since I joined the game. The melee system is fun, gunplay... not so much - for me.

I've not logged on Warframe last 5 days, after logging on daily, loving the game for these last three years - that's what the potential loss of being able to play style I enjoy did to me, pretty much. Don't get me wrong, I'm not throwing fits, I'm not angry - it's just a huge feeling of letdown, sadness and lack of motivation to play, if the one thing I really loved, style-wise, is potentially going away soon.

I keep saying - this change is good, if you like mixing your gunplay with melee, and if it works and offers people to do exactly that, without removing choices from other players - excellent - but if it comes at the cost of other options being impossible or hampered by clumsy controls - that's a step back, not forward. You don't just remove options from players, and hope they will like it, regardless of their previous preferred style. I haven't joined to play a bog-standard shooter with a bit of melee on side. I joined to play awesome fast paced hack & slash with my melee, to be a space ninja (seriously, ninja with guns..?) with some Space Magic.

Reasonably speaking, once the changes are up, I will give them a honest try, and see how much it impacts the capability to play melee only, and will provide a constructive feedback - as DE had done a lot of good work, and to not even try it would feel wrong, petty and unfair to them. They are passionate people, who seem to mostly want to provide a good player-experience; but at the same token - I am a passionate person too, and removal of my favorite style is something I don't want to see - as then, even if I love these folks and this game to pieces, my real means of enjoying the gameplay will be practically gone. What would be left for me there to do? Idle in my Liset and take pics in Captura? While that's amusing, it doesn't substitute the gameplay, unfortunately.

PS: I am the one who tweeted at Steve (Jan The SA******, lol) - the rare instance of me tweeting at devs - as I normally really dislike doing that, knowing they have enough workload to have some random internet person to bug them. Me doing that goes against my own personal sensibilities - as I really want to enjoy Warframe in the future, so bringing up constructive discussion to make it possible is taking priority over that little sensibility of mine.

Well, I disagree with you on the notion that frames should be rebalanced around the meta. But on the specific topic of melee-focused abilities, I do not believe you should be able to seamlessly switch to guns. That undermines those abilities completely imo. I believe dedicated melee abilities should remain melee-focused abilities, and if they are lacking in any way, they should be reworked or rebalanced in a way that better supports dedicated melee gameplay (seeing as they are dedicated melee abilities). The fact that they are making that possible says to me that the focus of this rework isn't so much on "reworking" melee as it is completely getting rid of the ability to have anything dedicated melee in this game.

From what I've seen, that's what the focus of this whole endeavor is, more than simply making swapping between weapons faster. I say that because the focus of just about everything Steve has shown is about getting you back to your gun as quickly as possible and about giving dedicated gun players access to full melee combos. That's why blocking is gone (because they can't have you aim gliding while blocking because they want your aim to switch back to your gun, and so they can't have aim gliding with gun and melee). That's why dedicated melee with LMB is gone. This entire rework is about players who primarily use guns, not players who primarily use melee weapons. If we want to be clear about what this rework is, it is a gun rework that changes melee to better facilitate gun play.

Thank you for saying how I feel about this rework. It's not a melee rework, it feels more of a reworking melee around gun-play, regardless of our preferences. (ie. hitting right mouse button swaps back to gun.. again.. why. As someone who wants to primarily melee - I obviously don't want my game to do that). And once again, I'll say it again - it's great for players who want to involve more mix & matching of their weapons, but it may potentially cause that alternatives, such as having pure melee, impossible or unnecessarily hard, as opposed to what we have now. I'm not a fan of having an antire gamestyle removed at the cost of what is basically smooth sweapon swaps. As someone said - it's one step forward, two back.

PS: I have a special place in my heart for people who downright worship "meta" and who toss around words like "power-creep". (Ugh.)

As a melee player, the fact that we're talking about a fundamentally melee-focused ability being rebalanced around using ranged weapons is an irony that just doesn't sit well with me.

As a melee player & Valkyr main - yeah. While I don't use Hysteria and generally prefer Warcry build, Valkyr is and always has been a melee-focused frame (That's why I personally play her, duh). People really need to stop suggesting she should be changed to fit the gunplay as well, while ruining her melee-focused kit. She is a melee-focused frame and should remain as such. I could imagine Hysteria work differently, but definitelly not to rebalance it around/for gunplay.

I'm one of the few who doesn't like this new change at all. But it's so obvious most of these people here and on Twitter rarely equip their melee. They didn't even realize that animation in the video was old. That's how little they pull out their melee weapons. I don't like spamming E to swing my melee weapon, and I don't like using guns in Warframe, mainly because I'm use to shooters where your gun is always pointed forward. I also don't like many of Warframe's guns. I'm definitely one of those players that prefers a dedicated melee mode. But I can't say I'm surprised. Ever since Reb mentioned changing quick melee, I had a suspicion that they were basically reworking melee around quick melee and gun play. And that's basically what this is.

You're not alone in that regard.

It's fine they want to make swapping weapons more seamless, for people who like to mix and match weapons. I get it, and it's not a bad idea per-say. If people want to mix and match weapons, if it can be made smoother - great.

But it shouldn't come at a cost of making other options impossible. I am melee player myself, I only ever carry melee weapons to all my missions, and don't bother with guns. Both I don't enjoy gunplay, as well as if I don't equip it, it saves me hassle to have to swap to full on melee. Melee is what got me interested in the game in the first place, been around for 3 years because of it. The way things seem to be going is, Warframe is changing that one unique thing, to blend in with other similar games of this genre - guns play major role, while melee is sorta.. sidelined. It was simply nice to be able to choose, if you liked one or the other & while there is a benefit of this change for players who want to seamlessly change, it may essentially make the option of playing just the melee impossible.

Anyways - this change can pose several problems for people like us. The right button switching back to gun? Why? What if I don't want that? Let alone that right button, in movement, is for jumpgliding and parkour, and when you're in a gun mode, it'll change your entire FoV, which is different to FoV while in full melee mode, and that gun-mode FoV is entirely impractical for melee players.

I don't want to go too indepth into the unreleased system, but as someone who played melee (full melee, not quick melee) all this time, this has several rather crappy implications already. It may even be so, that you won't be able equip just the melee weapon anymore,  & even if we are - even that may not remove the obstructions this new system may bring - depending how well the keybinds can be changed or not.

    • Removal of scaleability from Combo counter bonuses (Because 'normal' attacks won't be applied to them, and heavy attacks will also consume the stacks).
    • Unnecessary nerfs to range of polearms & longer weapons overall, to make other weapons 'viable'. (Except, that's a wrong way to address this)
    • Not fixing the actual problems - ie. lack of fluid movement & being locked in long, pointless animations, making you a target - a lot of weapons suffer from this.
    • 'Flat' damage buff to the weapons themselves in no way will be enough to justify removal scaleability of melee we have now.

I could go on, but these are the most jarring things. I generally praise DE for their work, but in case of Melee 3.0, I say - toss the entire thing out of the airlock and never look back. As a pure melee player, I find literally nothing that seems like an improvement, but rather, nerf across the board. I don't want biggest part of fun in Warframe to me, to be ruined, and unviable in high level content. (Those claiming melee is not viable on high levels, please don't. If you seriously think that, here's one for you - You know nothing, Jon Snow.)

  13. Spoiler

    Valkyr Umbra.
Melee 3.0 to get tossed out of the airlock, permanently.
    More Lore/Story
    Raids
    Melee for the Operator

There's more I'd actually love to see in the game, these are just some of the main things.

Mhh... Well, again, few ways to do it.
Casters - Saryn, Mesa, Equinox, to name a few.
Melee, if caster-frames aren't your thing (definitelly aren't mine, loool) - Valkyr, but gotta pair it with a well-built melee weapon with decent range.
