  1. So thermal sunder damage over time decreases with the diminishing range of the area, Why would that be a feature if the area already decreases in size and you need to cast it more than once to get full damage?

Also reminder that mach rush doesn't damage enemies you directly run into despite turning gauss into a high speed object.

  2. So along with mach rush not damaging enemies you directly run into and redlines overall inefficiency, thermal sunder seems too expensive when it feels like you're supposed to use the two functions at the same time. Maybe halving the cast cost in some way could mitigate that.

  3. So after formaing gauss, I gotta say that his kit feels very micromanage-y. I have to try and focus on his synergies, anti synergies, and gauge levels along with the other stuff happening ingame and it's almost a chore, especially redline.

Redlined by the way seems worth it but with how long it takes to fill the gauge despite spamming 1 and 3 and the innate drain while also not counting kinetic plating drain, the duration will be over half gone by the time you get to enjoy the full buffs. The redline buffs also seem weirdly made, with the holster buff providing the most tangible benefit at any gauge level despite being the least useful. If the other buffs were on par with the holster buff, the time needed to fill the gauge would seem worth it.

As one person said before me, it's weird having a stationary skill on a mobile frame. It'd be cool if Mach rushing through a Thermal Sunder zone picked up the effect and carried it along with Gauss.

What if the base ability effect followed you and mach rush left lingering trails of ice or fire?

  5. I think that new banish and rift surge are worse than old banish and rift surge. Banish being able to work between dimensions made his gameplay smoother but now you have to make sure you're in the same dimension as an enemy, banish that enemy, rift surge him, and then go in the same dimension to unbanish him to only make him auto re-banish himself along with any other enemy in range.

It's a needless set up when old banish could simply banish and unbanish enemies no matter what dimension they or you were in. Incidentally this makes it the only frame ability that doesn't work between dimensions. Makes limbos lazy too since they rather sit inside cataclysm and wait for enemies to try and rush in because they can't use banish to target non-rift enemies from inside the bubble.

  6. His 1 would be alot better with the effect following the camera and the reactivation delay removed, it's actually a pretty good ability but orientation based on baruuks position instead of the camera and the delay after attacking makes it feel slow and wonky.

Other than that he could get his separate damage reductions improved, especially since getting restraint is slow. Maybe make serene storms deflection damage enemies.

  7. There's like only 2 archetypes of gluttonous characters though, extremely skinny or overly rotund. Either way they both are extremely voracious.

Heavy guys can't get the same respect

I feel like they shouldn't, any motivation to get healthy is fair.

  8. You forgot his passive, which I hope the enemy cap, armor bonus, and energy drain are generously reasonable. Also hopefully the damage grendel takes and done to the enemies inside him works like zephyrs tornados; includes crits, status, and damage from allies.

I also wondered if feast and meatball consumes pick ups and if those gave him buffs.

    2. Projectiles deal toxic damage.

Why toxic? If we are talking about stomach acid, that should be corrosive damage, as you know, the stomach has UNDILUTED (or close to undiluted) hydrochloric acid

Thought that was kinda weird too, though if the damage has a chance to proc toxin then it might be decent enough to overlook it. Though otherwise it should definitely be corrosive.

  9. Not necessarily cause of the shatter shield thing but auto parry tanking controls is probably the worst thing about it. Wished it was like before where blocking didn't override other effects but blocking effects still persisted.

I had ideas like these but unlimited bulltet jumps can't match the current tailwind speed

Yeah but tailwind is usually unwieldy because of that, most maps are too small for it and you'll constantly get stuck or overshoot, that's where bullet jumps are better.

  11. I doubt de would be for the idea of no cap thralls, despite a description of revenant saying something about controlling an "army of zealous thralls" or something.

But honestly any propagation on death would work better than the current way, especially considering thralls made by the seeking bullets don't drop pillars on death. And honestly this wouldn't be a problem if they did.

    Most people have saryn

So what? op probably doesn't and is also probably at the early stage in the game where the annoyance of killing enemies slowly hasn't set in. For those who do are just mad that they didn't get the bigger number in the mission report.

Back in the day (in 2016 to be exact), we put a topic to rest that 'Cold Status Effects prevent other Status Effects from being applied, because the target is frozen solid'!

Doesn't surprise me, but obviously that's not how it should've been in the first place.

Yet again, to be fair, being frozen technically should stop some statuses but not others. Taking that even further some statuses should get a positive multiplier against frozen targets, but others shouldn't or should get a negative multiplier. It's alot more complicated than necessary so making all status plainly work on frozen targets is actually the compromise here.

  14. All this sounds good, but also what about making the initial stab of her 1 inherit the damage of the melee version with a guaranteed proc, along with the 10% max health added on?

Im fully against rivens when it comes to any aspect of a frames kit, even khoras and atlas one.

Me too, never liked sacrificing a slot and a stat stick for an ability, you lose out on having 4 good weapon options for still having 3.

Serene Storm can be great, but having two different instances of the punch (the actual punch, and the wave) make things too complicated. I'd wish the waves would create a combo counter, and be the only instance of damage; being able to be channeled, and such.

Disagree, they have the same stats but are counted as separate instances, so hitting an enemy with both doubles your damage, or up to quadruple damage if both instances crit without counting crit damage mods.

Of course the actual problem is that alot of the combos make the waves ragdoll enemies away so you don't benefit from that most of the time.

    "Elude"

It would honestly be a great ability if the effect followed the camera and not baruuks orientation, that and having the reactivation delay removed. As is, this ability feels extremely wonky to use cause of that. Aiming sorta fixes it though.

    "serene storm/passive"

I'd say serene storm should keep using restraint as an energy source but getting and upkeeping restraint should be more efficient, cause it does slow down baruuks gameplay as it is now. And also because of that, the damage reduction of atleast serene storm should be improved, but it's unreliable and low for both still. Though most of baruuks defense comes from desolate hands anyways.

    New Passive

That's pretty great, I'm always up for just giving him adaptation as his passive but I'd take this compromise.

    Danse Macabre

Kinda disappointed that there's nothing about it having better damage adaptation.
