  1. Keep telling yourself that one.... if you'd like to read the reasons people don't want to play conclave (not just in this thread) you'll see that it is anything but. If it was a such a special place and everyone is invited why is it so few people actually play conclave.... hmm....
  2. Ah that response explains everything.... I suppose some people need to feel more special than others after all. I suppose the rest of us will just have to resort to rigging the concalve reward system like most of the current conclave players have already done... I never knew a group of people would be so worried about a 1000 point 5% drop chance medallion affecting their 'special place'...
  3. I'll happily admit I don't like conclave (my view on it has never changed)... it's a poorly designed PvP bolt on for a PvE game. It's reward structure is completely unbalanced as is matchmaking.... I don't mind a well designed PvP like UT/Quake but conclave is anything but well designed and the fact that DE basically refuses to do anything about it really doesn't help matters.... If the concalve players who complained hadn't been all upset about the universal medallion affecting their little subsection (your term...) of the game there wouldn't be an issue would there....I'd maybe go as far as say those complaining are more concerned that they won't be able to milk the 'newbies' for their own standing if players can get standing elsewhere but that would be cynical wouldn't it. Funnily enough you don't see people who levelled ventkids (which is just as separate to the PvE game as conclave) complaining, you don't see the ones who completed cephalon simaris complaining, you don't see any of the other syndicates complaining... nope just conclave... the rest are sensible enough to realise that 1k standing at 5% drop rate is hardly going to impact the rate of progression on a syndicate.... It's fine though, removing the only reason for many of us to even bother with disruption isn't going to make us come to conclave, it will still remain a dead subsection of the game like usual....
  4. Game mechanics imo are more due to the way that the warframe moves in conclave is tied to the way it moves in PvE, ie bullet jumping etc which just ruins any sort of fun in the game for me personally. Yeah I get it conclave is going to be faster paced than PvE but at the same time some aspects of PvE don't fit into PvP imo... I keep referencing UT/Quake as a benchmark for a good PvP and that's because they are dedicated PvP games and were designed around it rather than being 'bolted on' to a PvE game. Lunaro just has issues with even finding the damn ball and the last time I tried it there was zero 'notification' if you're about to be tackled etc so you can't even try to evade the enemy. You can't even practice because here is no 'against AI' option which could work both ways.. a slower rep grind and practice. Clearly they can add AI enemies to conclave, that's basically what the Dog Days event was. Rewards. Yeah they need a general buff and imo part of the issue for standing is that (last I checked) if you came 4th our 4 players you don't actually get any standing, throw in matchmaking that may stick a 'newbie' with someone who actually likes conclave and well thats soon going to 'put people off playing'. Yeah we can 'rig the system' with private groups but we shouldn't need to do that. As to the medallions... I honestly feel like they're something they just slung together at the last minute to add something to disruption reward tables. The reason I say it was last minute, well they had to take out that umbra essence and outside of gauss (which you only need once in most cases), kuva (on kuva map) the lua lens and the 2 new weapons (which don't even drop from the reward table) the only rewards are relics (annoyingly you can't even get axi relics) and some stupidly low amounts of credits...so they basically needed something for players to 'return for' so stuck it at 5% drop chance on the higher tiers... the problem is that for many of us the only reason we even cared about the medallion was because it could be used on conclave standing too. I literally have no reason to do disruption now I have the weapons, gauss and am already overloaded with unused relics...
  5. When you've been here long enough you come to realise that there is only one consistent thing about DE and that is their inconsistency....
  6. Everyone has a different opinion on what is 'desirable', I've only been talking about my own opinion on that subject. The main 6 syndicates don't need to be done separately to every other game mode so they're almost passive to PvE. Simaris isn't much different either other than the daily visit to get a new scan target. Arbitrations is supposed to be 'end game', we've had numerous threads about what rewards 'end gamers' want and it usually boils down to cosmetics... mind you arbitrations has it's own issues imo but thats a different issue. Operator cosmetics.. most of them are available for plat. Little duck/quills.. yeah there's some bits in there you can't trade but in a way that kind of fulfils the 'better weapons for better rank' that some players want. In all honesty though they're fairly quick and easy to level up because they're PvE... The closest PvE syndicate to conclave would be ventkids where you kind of have to break away from PvE if you want to do things quickly you need to do the races but you can still buy the boards via plat if you just want the standing. In all honesty though I managed to level up and do all my boards in about 2 weeks once they buffed the race standing and because you ALWAYS get standing in a race, unlike conclave where you can en up with nothing for your time. The likley reason the community is 'annoyed' about the change is because DE basically changed their mind after a couple of players (honestly only seen one) complained to steve on twitter, even though the general consensus from the majority is that conclave is not a good game mode to play, some of the 'conclave community' can be quite toxic to 'non regulars', and well even if we were the luckiest people in the world 1K standing from a 5% drop item would hardly speed us up the rankings, it would be one hell of a grind... I managed to get both the new weapons and gauss parts before even seeing 1 of the medallions, now I was lucky in my drops but still....
  7. This is the thing, I don't actually mind weapon skins being kept exclusive to whatever it is and if it was just weapon skins and conclave mods in conclave rewards I doubt we'd be having much of a conversation about getting the items or using the universal medallions to level up. But when you throw in warframe cosmetics things get a little more interesting because more people are interesting in making their frames look pretty than the weapons. Weapons in most cases have better options via plat or tennogen (which has it's own issues, for another day lol) anyway. Most other syndicates can trade all the items except for the relic packs, the pizzas, the syndicate unit spectres (they drop anyway), warframe/operator suit parts and the syandana. To be fair I have no issue with the syandana's being kept exclusive to those who earned them (same as my view on login cosmetics needing to be left at 800 and 1000 days). However if DE follow through with adding in more items such as armor to the normal syndicates those of us who have done one side and moved to the other will be a 'bit annoyed' because that means we'll have to re-level again just to get those items. Being able to trade armors might become a necessity if DE decide to keep adding items to syndicates and hopefully they might consider adding that option to conclave too... or just let us buy the armor for plat...
  8. Honestly the only thing(s) I actually want from conclave rewards is the armor sets which aren't available for plat... the highest tier riv elite set is available for plat but strangely the lower tier ones are not. I'd happily buy the other two for plat but for whatever reason DE don't even give us that option.... you can't even trade for them (which is a little concerning seeing as there is talk of PvP syndicates getting armor etc, I really don't want to have to re-level 2 syndicates again...) While I don't mind the syandana, the fact I'd need to 'keep it alight' would soon get on my nerves so I wouldn't use it, pretty sure even some conclave users don't like that aspect of the syandana. I don't really care about the weapons skins, they're not really that good looking imo and the mods are only useful to completionists and conclave players so pretty pointless outside of that. Relic packs and warframes etc are easily attained elsewhere so....ironically the relic packs are PvE content lol.
  9. Don't go asking silly questions like that.... PvP shouldn't be connected to PvE remember, thats why DE have listened to the minority and stopped the 5% drop chance 1k standing medallions from working on conclave after all.
  10. Really... you're now adding in a minimum duration to disruption arbitrations.... well not going to do that then... Universal syndicate medallions not working on conclave standing... well that removes the only reason for me to bother with that game mode once I have gauss/weapons. I don't need creds, I can get kuva at a faster or equal rate on other modes and I don't need more relics as I'm already overloaded. The only thing remotely interesting and/or worth returning for was the fact I could (slowly) level up conclave standing with the universal medallion if it dropped... it isn't even a common drop so it's not like it's going to suddenly make us speed through conclave ranks at a stupid rate. The universal medallion has no real use for someone who is mr27 max standing on pretty much all the main syndicates, I can max out my simaris standing in a few days by doing the daily scans (not that theres much other than companion rivens to spend it on) which is far far quicker than 1k per medallion with their 5% drop chance... hell I can max out a normal syndicate within a week from normal 'grinding' and that's without using their own medallions. I'm not going to play conclave because of the issues it has as a game mode (note I like quake/unreal tournament style pvp...). Stopping me from levelling with the medallion isn't going to suddenly change my mind and make me play it... it needs a complete overhaul before that would happen.
  11. Now I haven't played it yet (not exactly a fan of disruption in all honesty) but if those reward drop rates are accurate then I think the universal medallion needs to have a higher drop rate.... I'm far more interested in the universal medallion (for conclave points) than the kuva and especially the relics essentially because of the below. The rate of gaining kuva should be at least equal to other methods, if it gives me less per 'hour' compared with other modes I'm going to basically do kuva map once then ignore it. Can we please drop the resource rewards and can we get something other than relics too on maps other than kuva.... from a personal perspective I'm on relic overload already, I don't really need more. Honestly I'm getting fed up seeing relics as 'end game' rewards...as end gamers we likely already have everything the relics offer... Also the credits rewards are comically small... why would I run Neptune disruption when I have index which is infinitely better return versus time investment. Oh I do love an artificial time gate for getting gauss by sticking it all in rotation c...and with a 10% drop chance.... I'm not exactly chomping at the bit to get gauss so I'm not likely to buy it and I'm not likely going to be in a rush to farm it with it's current positioning and drop chance... it makes khora look ok. Essentially when all I see is relics as the rewards or stupidly low drop chances on the items that might interest me I lose interest in doing the mission type pretty quickly... I'm not going to farm the same thing over and over when the only reason I'm doing it is because of the forced low drop rates. Disruption would have been a perfect opportunity to have a store like plague star or arbitrations, in fact you could have made a joint store with arbitrations where we can buy stuff instead of drop tables. The store could have included things like repeat purchase items like kuva and one time items like gauss
  12. Well I know why they've added eidolon lenses to the market, we need them to make the lua lens along with a resource only found on lua disruption... won't be using many of them then because that means farming PoE to get eidolon lenses and well I have no reason to go back to PoE and needing eidolon lenses won't change that... lua lenses could have at least been ready made lenses. To be honest the majority of the rewards in disruption are pointless for me, I've got no end of relics already which I don't use and the credit reward one is just comical.
  13. Personally I see the lua lens as another 'band aid' instead of fixing the bigger issue with gaining focus (for those of us who haven't done the grind already). Outside of meta farming techniques such as ESO the rate of focus gain is just far too low in the normal game.... so instead of tackling focus gain in general, DE just give us another lens with higher percentages. Now I haven't maxed out my focus (honestly don't feel a need to), I haven't even used my eidolon lenses yet either because I'd literally be wasting the greater lens I have installed so this lua lens isn't going to suddenly make me want to swap out my existing lenses and farm focus... I'd have been more inclined to work on my focus points if it wasn't for the stupid capacity cost and the need to 'meta farm' for any real progress to be made.
  14. I wasn't really expecting it till just before the weekend if I'm honest...
  15. Honestly, and I think everyone will be the same on this if they think subjectively and don't just blindly support DE due to them 'being a small company' (they're not that small) or whatever, I have to say that no I'm not satisfied and the game is not in a good place. I do find the lack of being able to hit their own deadlines pretty poor, maybe even edging on 'unprofessional' seeing that it's not just a one time thing, it's pretty much every real update. I understand that things happen and can understand a small delay but the delays are getting longer and in all honesty I still don't think the update is going to be polished when it's released (like usual) We have skins shown from the last tennocon, not this years, still missing from release such as titania's yet other frames, which were shown later, have had theirs released.... and don't even get me started on the lack of backup procedure which led to the loss of zephyr deluxe... We have bugs/issues still left untouched years after they were first brought up, we have game modes that were supposed to be being looked at left half finished and/or in a worse state than before. We get inconsistent results from warframe reworks, if we're lucky they work out really good (saryn, nezha) but at the same time we get reworks which are no where near 'good enough' (ember, nyx, titania) and in some cases make something worse.. New frames are now just 'shoved into the game' without any real thought and in many cases are just attached to the 'newest thing' like hildryn, wisp and now gauss rather than having even the most basic of quests. Then to top it off we have dev's thinking that 'end gamers' want to farm 2 locations for a 24 hour consumable that isn't even as useful as a specter when you think about it. When you boil it down, the real issues started when DE decided they'd add open worlds and they then started diverting (too much) resources to that at the expense of pretty much everything else.
  16. You're not the only one missing something then because I've been using hildryn quite happily against both those factions but then I did change my aura to the toxin resistance one and use adaptation with her... I wouldn't be surprised if they're using CP on her which as we know nerfs her effectiveness.
  17. I'd prefer a way to max out all 6 as well but like I say I don't think it's going to happen. As I said in my post, disruption is more aimed at long term or 'end game' players (pretty sure DE even said this) yet as you've just agreed the rewards aren't really aimed at the same type of level of player...they're more aimed at players that are not at 'end game'. This is a constant issue that keeps cropping up, game mode is aimed at 'end game' yet rewards are aimed at 'newbies'....it's not just players who see this even some of the warframe partners are raising the same issue.
  18. I'm assuming the universal syndicate medallion just means it can be used on any syndicate rather than it giving 1k to all of them at the same time or not giving negative standing at this moment. If it works like usual it would then deduct (500 and 1000) from the chosen syndicates enemies and give 500 to it's ally... basically like a normal medallion, just without the restriction on who to use it with. This is why it's only really 'beneficial' to an 'end gamer' if it removes that negative points aspect of normal syndicate points imo.
  19. Maybe it's me but unless this universal medallion doesn't cause the negative rep on the 'enemy syndicate' then these are pretty much useless to me and I'd guess most other players that are likely to dedicate a lot of time to disruption and are as such the target for these nodes (ie 'end gamers') will be in the same situation of having maxed out their syndicates and have nothing else to buy from them.... I have 4 maxed syndicates, I've actually done all 6 and I'm 99.9999% certain I've bought all of the items (I might need to buy a buy the room skin or captura on a negative syndicate) they currently sell and the only thing I'd like to do, as an mr27, is be able to max out all 6 syndicates and not have them go negative anymore... If these universal medallions only give 1k and still work the same as the existing medallions they're about as useful as a common vitality mod imo. This really does seem like the usual conflict of targeting higher tier players with content and then making the rewards better suited to a lower level of player.
  20. IMO Grendel is just based on the beowolf poem... with a bit of creative licensing. In the poem grendel basically devours his enemies so that he 'has his fill' and tbh it was obvious from the first showing that he was going to be based around 'eating stuff', he had a 'mouth' for a belly... Do I think that he should throw them back up again... probably not in all honesty as it does run a little close to bulimia etc. I'd maybe argue they ran out of ideas with this bit but then I remember that DE seemed to enjoy (imo tacky) 'butt jokes' in most devstreams..... EDIT: no idea why he has sumo stances for his animations, apart from being 'fat' he has nothing even remotely sumo like in his design...
  21. Any news on the new kavats? How much longer are we going to have to wait for titania deluxe? Can you confirm once and for all that there will be no cross over between excalibur prime and umbra prime cosmetics (in all honestly I'm getting fed up with founders asking for this when you've already said as much)....
  22. Ended up grinding out the captura and the emblem after the 'bonus pearls' were added...I couldn't be bothered to get any more than the one ball and the colour palettes before this..and I basically got to the point where I just couldn't be bothered with the game mode anymore once i'd got the captura... Did my grinding solo so I didn't get kills stolen from me... no idea who's stupid idea it was to put bonus pearls linked to the kill or more accurate, the last hit on the enemy before it dies as it all it does it promote kill stealing. The gun still sucks, wouldn't be as bad if it didn't need pumping up every 2 to 3 shots but it made an incredibly boring chore even more annoying. Accuracy was just pitiful too. The inflatable rings were not enough to tell who was an enemy and who was an ally in my opinion. It was literally one map, one warframe with a different skin on, one gun and essentially the same set of enemies EVERY time we did the mission... The map had more 'holes' than swiss cheese and considering how small the map was it could still lag like crazy.... The event was anything but fun, it literally sucked the enjoyment out of the game for me and the reason for this is due to the most simple things going... it was incredibly monotonous (why do you think people were afking in the first place) and the amount of pearls needed for the stuff from nakak was just too high, it made a 'fun' side event turn into a massive grindfest, even more so when you added in kill stealing which essentially meant the optimal way to grind was to go solo... When we get events like this it literally shows just how little you play your own game....this actually felt worse than the first season of nightwave and that had so many issues....
  23. how many did you actually kill ?
  24. Still doesn't change the fact the event boring... So is this bonus group bonus or individual bonus points for kills... if it's individual it's just going to make it even more annoying when you lose 'your kill' because someone else gets that last hit on the enemy... it's not like the water guns are accurate or anything... not to mention the only people that are really going to make any progress with that are the conclave players. Would have been better to have just halved the time per mission and/or doubled the rewards imo. edit: appears it's personal kills... DE did you not learn anything from the 'conclave' events where players who didn't do conclave were basically geting screwed over... this is the exact same situation.
