  1. Agree, it's not about acceptable or not, it's about how much certain traits are increasing and or being changed. The reason I can see a paid battle pass coming at some point is due to the way things have been going.... introduce nightwave so you get people doing daily and weekly (chores) tasks, tie rewards to said task with a small fomo, introduce kahl missions and shards but with a larger fomo, increase fomo with duviri circuit and in all honesty quite a large grind to it.... people without enough time complain and next thing we get is a pay to skip option..... then you can throw in aya as a 'new' cross platform currency you can't trade for (I said back on release the aim was to remove plat trading, still think it is). You could kind of have that with railjack and farming corrupted holokeys, even now... it's far more efficient if you have a players dedicated to specific roles and speeds it up immensely..... still hate the multi layer grind though. Nightwaves are unsustainable in their original design of a new 'story' each time, DE doesn't have the time management for that.... it needs to change to a syndicate and let us just buy everything. Not that there's much to buy for those of us who have done all the other nightwaves....credit options suck. Having said that you could argue that nightwave was the prototype for the current design of the circuit rewards, it's just longer.... But this is the way it's always been :P The issue with warframe in some respects is people are too willing to accept 'rubbish' updates and fall back on the 'beta' tag that warframe likes to try and use.... I'm sorry but warframe lost the beta tag the moment it started monetising pretty much everything, not to mention it's around 10 years old now..., how many times have we had something added to the game that was half baked or just completely wrong for warframe because 'DE' saw something shiny in another game and decided to shove it into warframe... And everyone seems to be ignoring the fact that duviri has been in development for around 4 years, yeah not exclusively, but you'd have thought that it wouldn't feel rushed when it was released... it's almost like it was changed last minute to be that soul frame beta test theory some people have....

Guess who is a minority shareholder in Diablo Immortal's dev company....yep you guessed it Tencent and we all know, well those without our heads in the sand, they are very poorly regarded in the mobile game space due to their tactics etc. I'm kind of dreading the direction the game will go when the game goes mobile because you just know that it will drift into the pc/console version, arguably it already is. I don't begrudge a company making money, just value the players time etc when you're doing it.... I even had the ironic survey question in game asking if I felt DE respected player time and investment a little after duviri released... I didn't say yes and it was a yes/no question....

I stopped bothering with watching live devstreams years ago pretty much because it was more about 'here's the new stuff, give us money' than it was talking about the game development and player feedback etc. Throw in the immature jokes and it was like... nah I'm too old for this and I'm younger than Steve etc. But there isn't a problem if you don't take any notice of it..... insert your meme of choice, there's plenty to pick from I've said it before, in one of your threads iirc, the way the game is going is being heavily driven by mobile phone game tactics and in all honesty I'm fully expecting a paid battle pass at some point.... Even the bit mentioned about Kullivero dropping items, note the plural, we can exchange for the parts could be argued as ignoring the issues we have regarding necramech and necramech weapon parts on deimos. It also doesn't say (or I missed it) how many of each item we will need so grinding out 6 levels each time is again ignoring the necessity to do 6 rounds etc.... The introduction of multi level grind for stuff, I just want to fire the person that had this idea, it's one of the worst additions to the game. Time gating for a new frame is pretty normal but everything is kind of starting to feel like the game play and enjoyability of the game comes second and 'how we're going to sell something' comes first (which is very mobile game type philosophy), the UI with duviri, especially the cave is a perfect example of this. RNG sucks but so does the 1 week to get the loot from the circuit.... not everyone can dedicate that much time in a week to warframe, if I can't guarantee I'll be able to complete 5/10 rounds why would I even bother starting it in the first place. Also pretty sure the resource booster not working is pretty high on the list of bugs we want fixing lol

  6. Why no kavat one.... seriously nobody uses kubrows at the moment because Sheldon's rework hasn't turned up (still waiting...) and kubrows are just outclassed.... Got to be honest, I think the speed at some of the nightwave goods being re-added is maybe a little too fast.... and as usual, those of us that have all the helmets, mods and weapons we basically have nothing to spend out nightwave credits on other than kuva and potatoes... there's only so many nitain we need and I don't need multiple vaubans.... so can we PLEASE get some other useful items added.
  7. Not just that but why are we only getting the duviri gene kit for the kubrow and not the kavat.... I use my kavat far more often and the gene kit being kubrow only isn't going to change that (kubrow kit is pretty poor). It would be nice if they also worked with deimos pets too.... it can't be that much rigging needed.... I'm guessing armor etc has far too much clipping.
  8. It was a very long time since I last bought forma.... they were an option from plague star but your guess is as good as mine when or if that's coming back. Didn't dog days have them at one point and then have them removed? Acrithis from duviri update has forma in their rotation too but it's just a bp. Nightwave sometimes has forma along with the occasional alert. Honestly I used to just run a few junk relics, usually got a forma bp pretty quickly and then had the daily build going. I know it seems like it won't happen but you will get an excess pretty quickly after a while, especially if you're more selective on where you put them.
  9. Pretty shocking if that is the case.... I'd be more annoyed if I'd actually bought a booster, I've lucked into 2x resource boosters from logins, but it shouldn't really be an issue in the first place.... having said that I do think they could give all people who have had a booster during the 'bugged period' some sort of compensation, I know for a fact I've lost some rune marrows due to this bug.
  10. So things like the resource booster only working as the drifter on rune marrows couldn't have been fixed before the pause....
  11. It's just the usual 'encouragement' towards purchasing stuff with plat... nothing new and very unlikely it will change. Decorating in general is overpriced whichever way you look at though imo.
  12. Honestly, I was more annoyed by the fact we needed to farm resources to build it ourselves rather than it being prebuilt like usual.... I haven't had a chance to try it yet but I'm not expecting much of the custom stance based on the drifter melee.
  13. Probably as simple as keyboard versus controller, unless you mean via microphone (which most people I know have turned off), it's far easier to type on a keyboard than use an on screen keyboard and controller.
  14. what is good about cross play - (cynic in me) hides the lack of (pc) players playing in public groups..... Honestly as a pc player I can't say cross play has been a good thing, 99% of the time if I end up with windows pc users nothing goes wrong, if I end up with someone who isn't then there's usually at least one person disconnect, even worse if the console is the host. Loading times can feel like I've been stuck with a toaster for a pc if I end up with older consoles too and when in the mission it often lacks spawns etc. Often as not console players can't keep up with pc players due to kb/mouse being (generally speaking) better way to control warframes etc. In all honesty I think most players would have preferred cross save to cross play.
  15. Jump off and aim towards the next segment, it should be glowing, then melee attack it.... that's how I've been doing it anyway.

No thanks..... the drifter just isn't fun for me, I've been trying to like it while farming resources and intrinsics (painfullly slow and in all honesty quite boring).... the drifter/duviri is supposed to get better with higher tier intrinsics but I'm yet to see anything really improve. Personally I think the melee is clunky and as said it's incredibly weak without the right decrees. I haven't found a way to colour the weapons etc yet to match my drifters look (not looked overly hard, but I shouldn't need to look hard for it)... we're also missing a lot of 'operator' fashion which was supposedly going to be converted to drifter but hasn't been.... it is end game after all lol. The operator isn't exactly great either but at least they can move around more freely than the drifter (at least give me double jump....) and doesn't die when jumping off the horse or falling from a tall height by mistake and you don't roll.... (rank 10 to not die from jumping off a horse by mistake is daft... but then it's rank 8 to name the horse...) In all honesty I'd rather have the drifter deleted and replaced with the operator in duviri, preferably with a version of an archwing rather than the horse (which can't hover and blocks my view far too often) I didn't change to the drifter before duviri, I stuck with the operator....
  17. Yay more nerfs for cc/ cc frames... not like they have limited use or anything these days... oh wait.... Resource costs need to reduced in more than just the ones mentioned... farming resources in duviri is PAINFULLY slow compared with other locations.... and that isn't even including the buggy mess that some are having to put up with.... And nerfs to decrees because DE didn't think about synergies in the first place..... when will you actually start considering this when developing them, this is not a new thing.... but did you really need to nerf them, drifter melee is clunky and these decrees just about make it useable....
  18. Hating on the new release is not the same as hating on DE like the title implies.... also giving opinions/feedback is not necessarily hating either. The simple fact is that this update will be incredibly divisive purely by the fact it's focusing on something that isn't the warframes and people have generally speaking not been that interested in non PvE warframe content.... railjack, necramechs etc. Then throw in the usual buggy release, clunky drifter melee mechanics along with an 'unpopular' rotation schedule and you just can't expect everything to be positive. It really doesn't help that it is so different from the rest of the game... even DE said it was inspired by rogue like games which are completely different in playstyle and mechanics to what is normal PvE warframe.... and to be honest, not everyone enjoys having another completely different style of game bolted on to another game. Personally if I wanted to play a rogue like game, I'd go play a rogue like game.... And this might seem obvious... if we don't tell DE about the bad stuff we can't get rid of the bad stuff. If DE only get 'positive' feedback,even when they've done bad then we will end up with getting more of the bad in future releases because DE will assume they're doing everything right (they're not).
  19. Cynical side of me.... to sell stuff for plat. Seeing as there is less focus on the warframes since drifter was introduced they need another location to put items they sell. I want my operator gear from orb vallis and plains of eidolon converting too, it's not prime but that hasn't been done either... but like your prime gear that doesn't bring in any plat sales like the new stuff which is currently plat only.... Supposedly this conversion was on the cards years back, but we all know how fast DE are at some things...
  20. that will likely be due to the change in default graphics engine.... you'll need to go back to classic (click cog top right on initial load screen) but that is being discontinued at some point.
  21. I haven't even finished the quest yet.... I couldn't be bothered if I'm being honest because I'm not a newbie and it's INCREDIBLY BORING (seems to be a trend of late sadly) Experience from quest: No idea how long the quest is going to take...would be nice to know in advance.... Could you have maybe used a different voice actor for the main enemy character rather than main voice actor from vent kids (Roky)... they're annoying enough there. Drifter is so slow, kept wanting to void dash/bullet jump but obviously it doesn't work.. melee is clunky and slow triggering abilities on the drifter are slow and are over-ridden by 'stun' mechanics even if you've started that action... basically you can't get health in some situations. The cooldowns are a little too long imo too. shooting the gun is slow and doesn't do any damage 'reaction' triggers for enemy attacks such as reflection are not triggering fast enough... I had to trigger about 1-2 seconds early than I needed to, I'm on pc, not switch.... at the current speed they just seem unnecessary and I literally just said screw it and didn't use them after the mandatory bit. The death 'video' is annoying I want to fly the horse everywhere but nope... can't do that, got to follow the road... No radar for resources, no obvious vacuum either... I'm going to assume the resource rates are going to make this a long grind like usual too Using a non levelled frame/weapons is annoying... but I can use my levelled up operator which does more damage, moves faster etc.... I really feel sorry for a newbie doing the orb collection mode from zariman... I really don't need a tutorial on stuff I've already done Oh look everything seems to be plat only.... is there anything new tucked away that isn't plat? I actually feel the 'dax' enemies on duviri are maybe too high for the newbies who haven't played warframe before.... Intrinsics need a higher/faster drop rate imo. Did I say it was boring.... edit: I forgot about lock on using R.... it was quite annoying, during the test I could not get it to lock on to the other enemy because it wouldn't turn away from the one it was locked on to. Couldn't get it to disable, couldn't change enemy.... in the end I just killed the enemy but that really is poorly designed if that isn't a bug.

Why do you think they plan on allowing the next batch of newbies to skip out on all the old content with duviri, while basically nerfing veterans back to basics....well if we ignore the obvious aim of selling plat. It's another way to avoid fixing the outdated content/enemies/scaling and bugs that have been around for ages. Is this the way to go about it, not imo, but DE are basically taking the 'new content', 'power creep' and 'excessive grind' approach to selling stuff these days..
  23. To be fair DE have been saying in some of the devstreams etc that our operator will be being getting intrinsics and iirc focus might not work in duviri. Throw in the comments that duviri is going to be a 'reset' as such with new players able to start at duviri or go through the rest of the game first, not to mention the 'weekly resets' being mentioned as well and it would be fairly easy to have concerns if the poster doesn't have English as their primary language....
