dragon key?

Could also do with an increased range for the illuminate fish part of the ability. It seems to be a lot shorter range than using the luminous dye and in all honesty I've found myself using the dye even when using the oxylus purely because it's lacking range and missing a load of fish.

Got to be honest the first time I saw gauss using his aoe I thought... how did this get past QC when you get people complaining about limbo....
In all honesty it probably does need to be toned down a touch.

That's gonna depend entirely on the community churning through the invasions at a decent clip. You can't control that.
true but you can still get more than 2.... and in all honesty the community will likely do more of these at least for a short while as it's 'new' and they haven't found out how poor the rewards are lol

I get that this is also a standing supplement of 1500 per planet, or roughly 3k per day. But, you have to remember that's 8 missions for 3k standing, when most 4.5k challenges are done in 1-2. Heck, some 7k challenges are a single 5-minute mission.
You can get more than 2 in a day. If the invasions end for a particular planet the event mission changes too....
-
Throw in the fact that the sigil doesn't even appear to be a 100% drop chance means the sigil is literally being used as the only reason to go back to the mission..... You can get the scans in one mission, I got mine all done in a survival mission (except the pods, they don't scan properly).
Considering I first need to do 3 invasions, which I have no need to do, to even access the mini event mission this is an excessive amount of grind for a sigil imo.
Oh wait... I get 1500 standing to add to my standing which is pretty pointless for me seeing as I'm already over tier 30...
In all honesty, imo this doesn't bode well for the rewards from the 'finale' of fighting the boss, we already have a majority of the items that were dropped via the wolf, we have an operator helmet, we have a weapon skin (yeah I'd have preferred it as a new weapon too) and even though it's only a shoulder we have the armor too...

Speaking of which, Helios refuses to scan the new stuff unless it is a pod.
my helios has scanned the new infested quite happily (even filled the codex requirements) and continues to scan the pods....
Haven't seen a new zealot yet so can't say about that one but see no reason for it not to though.

So, basically the Gram or Gram Prime from the looks of it?
Rather a new skin then a new weapon i guess.
Besides what damage should it do?
We got alot of slash weapons like that already, how make it stick out etc.
Desing alone not will make a new weapon today sadly i fear.
or closer still... the old plasma sword model is almost exactly like that image, just a slightly longer on the blade

every game since arcades was a thing has been about getting and using the meta stuff. there is and always will be the lazy approach to games like this whether you like it or not. absolutely no one plays any games the devs makes, as how the devs wants the game to be played, ever.
the masses will always find loopholes, glitches, hacks, cheats, shortcuts, and meta weapons to beat a game as quick as possible.<< see game informer and game genie from back in the day.
todays gamers seems like theyre living in an alternate reality when it comes to gaming. just straight up anti everything that's fun.
warframe got popular with 3 things (facts) 1. abilities, 2. releasing new mod cards in reasonable frequency, and the bi weekly releases of quests, frames, and new weapons.
in reality, no one is forced to use abilities or meta weapons but why over complicate a simple thing?
Yeah but by totally stopping us from using abilities that then limits what we can use.... like I say their 'design choices' for difficult enemies is actually limiting options that we could be using... there was no reason why they couldn't make something have a reduced effect instead of complete nullification for example.
Because DE basically sees difficult enemies as making us use our weapons and nothing else the masses, like you say, will find the shortcuts which is essentially what we call the meta.
IMO DE in essence needs to rethink how they see difficulty again, nobody really complained about the nox which had a 'weakspot' but could still be killed albeit slower via the rest of his body... there is nothing stopping DE releasing more enemies like this.

Honestly I don't mind the 'extra' emissary missions (not that they're actually any different to usual outside new units)...
What I do mind is the need to jump through hoops (do the 3 missions for 1 key) to get access to them. It's basically getting mesa all over again and all we get is 1500 standing (and supposedly a sigil). It's basically feels like more 'chores' before you get to the good stuff....
Luckily I've finished my 30 tiers so I have no need to do these other than getting the codex scans (and the sigil) but these would have been much better if they just skipped the need to run invasions to get the 'key' to access them.
-
Honestly... I wasn't that enamoured with the original and I've been in no rush to do the new ones... disruption is basically excavation with a 'difficult' (well doesn't get killed by abilities and large health/armor pool) enemy to kill before it gets to the tower and one shots it....
Sticking in a unit that basically disables (most bosses have it, arbitrations has the drone) one of the main reasons most of us plays warframe (ie abilities) is one of the laziest (imo) approaches to making things 'hard' and essentially is just forcing players into using a certain combination of frame/weapon set up rather than being able to use abilities to supplement weaker weapons or to help the frame 'stay alive'..
Honestly I've felt we need a damage revamp of the secondary and primary weapons for quite some time (as does some of my clan) purely because I have secondaries doing more damage than primaries and while I expect outlies I don't expect the majority of secondaries to out damage my primaries.... essentially a machine pistol should not be out damaging a machine rifle...
-
Quite a while ago now....
If you have the blueprints you can still make them (last I checked) and you should also be able to share your bait with others in the same group.

Not all of us want to hear other people's music...
I set octavia music down so I can hear it and I'd do the exact same thing with the shawzin (which I still feel was wasted resources)

Or even the ability to just remove the existing lenses would be enough...
We can remove arcanes but for some reason we can't remove lenses.

... that describes what Warframe really is though...
It might do now but it never used to be like that. Yes there was grind but it was never excessive.

- I never once said anything about how you grind for this, yet the thing you complain about is that it is too grindy...
- I disagree on a more foundational level about the grind.
The Focus grind isn't bad because it is long, it is bad because it is tied to affinity and is only a reasonable grind when using two or three methods. Warframe needs a long tail end grind of stuff to work for, things that you unlock in two hours of grinding are also important for a healthy "content" flow, but there needs to be things to keep us playing in-between. Token rewards that are only useful once are why so many game modes are "dead". DE fearing making a grind is why people are complaining about having nothing to do. Also, I'm not sure what is innately wrong with "grinding". As long as the grind is fun and rewarding, why are you complaining about playing the game?
And again, it is a bit disingenuous to ignore literally everything I said and say that it won't work because it will be too grindy... despite me never mentioning grind.
Considering you basically called it focus 2.0 that in itself implies there will be a grind to it....
We already know how DE are trying to 'fix' endgame rewards with the original idea of echoes of umbra, anything that's even remotely like the idea you're putting out (and it is basically a focus school) would just be turned into an excessively drawn out grind fest like the current focus schools are if you don't do the meta approaches to gaining focus.
Warframe doesn't need ANOTHER massively grindy element, it needs a replayable FUN element that also has a relevant reward to end gamers at an enemy level that actually gives players at least some challenge... doing a mission just to get points (or however else it's levelled) for what is essentially another focus school isn't fun in a lot of people's eyes.
You're also assuming people want to use the operators as the main part of the game play... I didn't come to warframe to play as the operator, I came to play as the warframe, it's bad enough they're forcing the use of operators onto us by making enemies immune to warframes and normal weapons..
43 minutes ago, Uhkretor said:What did you expect from an automated answer of someone that hates grind above anything else?
OH you know me so well.... actually you don't but hey don't let that stop you from making stupid assumptions.
Actually my distaste is for unecessary and excessive grind... but clearly you'd never understand that distinction because you believe my response was automated...

No this is a meta complaint about primed chamber using something that is irrelevant to your real reason for posting... you could have just posted PLEASE RELEASE PRIMED CHAMBER or found a thread already asking for it...
-
No thanks, I don't want something that is essentially another focus school to grind... the current ones are bad enough

Your answer is just as toxic as wrong :
- Artax is far from the best to go for CO. Its base stats are weak and even rivened it won't at least reach 50%.
- Not comparable ? Two mods both vintage removed from the game, people asked both back but only artax is back wich is now a bad luck drop ...
And still trying to keep the meta complaint going by making out I said things I NEVER said.....
You also clearly don't know how the artax works even though it was pointed out to you earlier on in this thread....

So you care about the rewards and not the fact that a pre-existing mission type being added to other tilesets was literally the only content we got out of that pile of pictures and text? I don't know why I'm surprised. Someone let me know when something actually happens in this game. I'll be sitting on 10k medallions wondering why this matters.
I've honestly given up complaining about lack of content....it's not like DE are going to take any notice of us when it comes to lack of content when they're not really taking any notice of their warframe partners who are quitting because of lack of content. DE have got their 'grand plan' (I personally never wanted railjack...) in their heads and are working full steam ahead on that at the expense of pretty much everything else, content be damned.

So the thread is basically the OP has meta complaint about not being able to get primed chamber and then tries to make his point by using a stupid argument saying artax riven is useless all while ignoring the fact that it's a good source for status effects which work well with condition overload...
Yes it would be nice to have primed chamber made available somewhere but comparing it's lack of availability to a riven mod is just...

Console player here, honestly its not worth complaining about them deciding to introduce a new way to gain standing. With it me hoping if they plan to rework syndicate missions & the system to boot, to be more condensed and further expanding on it without making players have to do burn out grind for it.The potential acts more as a more potential goodie then endo, trash mods, etc. Though i guess the same can be arguing for it `hogging` drop chance space for the more useful goodies.
Though it could definitely use some better rates like have rotation A & B able to drop maybe a 500 version while making sure the chance of them dropping is taken more out of the common trash goods then the rare`r goods. At the very least, its something different then just another event that is a lazy rehash of very old content stuff that forces you to do it, to gain keys to access the main appeal of its content (aka exploiter orb).
I will have to wait till the console version comes around, but it is still possible for D.E. to introduce hotfixes to improve things, which i am some-what happy when i read some of the notes and saw changes which included smoothing out Titania`s kit which indirectly buffed the durations & aura ranges of her tribute buffs, since an extra 5 meters and 20ish more seconds is always appreciated.
Personally I'm more interested in the medallions than just getting even more relics (I'm honestly fed up with relics being the 'only' rewards in a mission) that will just sit in my inventory until baro brings something worth spending on... If the medallions at only 5% drop chance in rotation c there is no reason (imo) why they couldn't have been equal to the 5000 standing medallions in a syndicate mission... or even 2500 if they're worried about economy. 1000 could have been in rotation a and b at a higher drop chance, say 25% or something.
-
Paragraphs would have been nice but yeah 1k from rotation c with a 5% drop chance does seem a little poorly balanced. Especially when you consider how quickly a player can hit daily caps in eso (I won't mention conclave because well that's conclave lol)
Been a while since I even had to worry about this but can't medallions be applied on top of the daily cap...
-
Didn't they nerf the way stealth multipliers worked a while back, maybe with this 'fix' it needs another look as it might be too much of a nerf.... or maybe they only want us to use eso for our focus farming....
Have they nerfed frames again?!

So it's not dragon keys.. the only other 'change' in the game I've noticed of late is a change to the 'awareness' of enemies, they seem to essentially be more aggressive (and slightly better accuracy maybe) since 25.7.0 update and will come after you from several rooms away and stealth kills aren't even that stealthy at the moment.
Could it be that more enemies are actually attacking you compared with before and as such you're taking more damage meaning you don't last as long?
Prior to 25.7.0 I could literally walk up to an enemy before they'd react but this was introduced in an old (got to be a year ago now) update, the current enemies feel closer to the awareness before that, they just seem to have an increased 'range' of awareness though which is a bit screwy for things like stealth kills.
edit: Had a thought, the 'fixes' DE did to the bow damage could also have been applied to other weapons (depending on how the code needed changing) so potentially the damage from enemies might have been buffed a little too.
