  1. I'm still on the page that LoS should be removed. It's historically buggy and has never worked as 'intended.' Ember and Khora players know the pain well. No matter how much you try to 'improve' it, it simply won't work, because it's been tried and tried before. You have too much geometry in the game that can interfere with it to possibly make it work, and everyone knows this from painful experience. Can we just get rid of it when it should never have been there in the first place? Nice to see some of the other changes, but the big one is still unaddressed. It would be nice to change Nezha's augment too while you're at it. The nerf was huge for multiplicative range.
  2. I find it darkly funny that they had to bring out Pablo to reiterate this 'fix' that doesn't fix anything about what people want. The forums and reddit are hugely disappointed right now and the only reason they aren't getting ratio'd so hard here is because most people that frequent the forums have already used up all their 'reactions' on posts they agree with, so they don't have to make their own. Saying nothing about Nezha's multiplicative range nerf too. You're a great guy Pablo, but not even you can make these changes palatable.
  3. I find this 'modifier' isn't talked about enough. The forums are focusing on Dante right now (for good reason), but I honestly hate this modifier. You've spent the past how many years trying to fit the Operator/Drifter into the main combat loop, from adding arcanes, amp arcanes, focus school reworks, etcetera. Now in the supposed 'endgame' mode you propose, the culmination of all the gear we've farmed and affinity we've gained, you consider it a 'modifier' to remove all investment into one half of the gameplay loop - the Operator - as well as remove our choice of gear? For players that have worked to unlock them, focus schools can definitely become important things to consider in a loadout, whether you want Unairu's poise for knockdown resistance, Madurai for damage, Zenurik for energy; they're choices we make that are now useless in what's supposed to be endgame. Removing choice isn't difficulty, it's artificial. The modifiers for Deep Archimedia don't come across as difficulty, they come across as fake difficulty, just like Grendel's missions.
  4. I really hate to say this, but one only needs to look at the "PSA: Heirloom Collection Platinum Changes & Lessons" to show they absolutely can and will ignore getting ratio'd, among other changes over the years. To repeat @Ace-Bounty-Hunter said a few posts from yours, if they want to, they certainly will cut off their own nose to spite their face. It would be nice if the changes were reverted, and the Nezha nerf feels wholly too much for a frame that doesn't see much use anyway, but I expect them to push through LoS alterations for Dante alone. Bonus points if it goes through without addressing the LoS issues many frames still have that had that added. To add my ten cents (heh), I too agree with fully reverting the changes, both for Dante and Nezha.
  5. I'm sorry if my once a month bumps to this post were too much. I haven't done one since your January post in solidarity, but with TennoCon 2024 already fast approaching, that means it's almost been a year here. I also can't help but emphasize how it went from 'when' to 'if', so I know it's very likely nothing will happen, but hey, I'm not giving up hope yet. A digital code should have always been with the physical soundtrack exactly like it was in the first one. I'm not going to TennoCon this year, so I won't get to talk to you again in person, but I do want to thank you again for all your work on the awesome sound design in this game.
  6. Nothing TennoCon-related has ever returned except for the drops they have during the livestreams - those always come back as Baro offering usually. All the 'TennoCon' armor sets and syandanas have stayed exclusive to the digital pack. The only minor exception so far has been the Tannukai armor set and longsword skin, but that was also a twitch drop and not a sold 'TennoCon 20XX' item. It would be nice if they did, since one of the very first TennoCon syandanas (2016) had the kind of slim, minimalist yet sleek design I love for my fashion, but didn't grab at the time. I started in 2016 and the TennoCon 2016 syandana hasn't come back since, so I'm going to go out on a limb and say they won't be coming back. Still, with the old supporter packs coming back to the market, we can't say never anymore. It would be nice, but I don't think it'll happen is all I'm saying.
  7. You know what, finally, after searching Google and all the other new articles and overviews, yes, that one header is indeed the time tickets went on sale, in advance like I asked for. So yup, the information was out there...just very limited, not at all intuitive, and not even updated on the Tennocon-dedicated webpage after the fact like it should have been. So yes, I'll take the L on that and apologize for saying otherwise, but I'll second your last phrase and add that there was no reason it shouldn't have been in more places, like the Tennocon page they direct every inquiry towards when searching for information.
  8. And didn't consider that knowledge important enough to highlight, or even mention in text for those looking for information afterwards, in their overviews or anything else. Sorry, not good enough, especially with the mentioned ticket issues.
  9. Ironically, I would have been fine with that. Any warning in advance. Guess when I got my email that tickets were 'available now'? 9:57 AM, almost an hour afterwards. In fact, almost the minute I replied to you the first time lol. It's just pretty sad. Posted on the website in advance like they did in years prior would have saved all that. I went to the 10 year anniversary in person on a collector ticket because it was the first in-person tennocon in years and the 10 year celebration besides, but I told myself I wasn't going unless I could snag a VIP this year because the waiting was just too much.
  10. On neither of those posts is the actual time tickets go on sale stated. That's what I'm talking about, since people are going to try for the best tickets available and they'll be there the minute of. I know they went on sale today, but not the actual time to be ready, so I was just refreshing and checking constantly, because it didn't occur to me that they wouldn't put out the times on their own website in advance, rather than just a post on twitter at 8:08 CST (my time zone), less than an hour before they go on sale.
  11. I actually didn't even manage to get a VIP ticket because I didn't know when things even went on sale. I only just saw this post after having finished my own about the obscurity of not posting the times in advance like they have other years. I shouldn't need twitter to find out when ticket sales for my favorite game go up when that game has its own website, forum, and a dedicated webpage counting down to the event. Besides which, even going through the digital pack was exactly as you said, more loading and page changes than I would have expected for the process in earlier years. This was a fail to me, and this year's tennocon is going to have that taste in the back of my mouth the whole time. I didn't mind the collector's experience, but with how much waiting it was, I really wanted to go the VIP route this year. Have fun! I guess I won't get to talk to you in person like I'd hoped, lol.
  12. Quick little blurb to the developers here: I don't like Twitter, and since becoming 'X' it's gotten even worse in places. Putting out sales times on twitter less than an hour before they drop is crazy when you've had a web page developed for months showing a countdown and information on your convention. I wanted to be able to try for a VIP experience this time around, because frankly the collector's edition last year was a lot of waiting while the VIPs got to enjoy everything for an hour beforehand without the crowd. An hour is a long time to even look over setups, not to mention the early merch access. I wanted to try this year and no time was given. I thought for sure there would be a news post, or forum post, or something come the update the day before, but nothing. And when I checked just minutes after 9 my time, I see things are already sold out, after checking the previous hour. Turns out I should have checked twitter, because that's where the announcement happened, less than an hour before it dropped. You had the sales time posted in advance last year. I play your game. I check your website, and your forums. I shouldn't need to go to a silly social media site to get a time when you have more than enough spaces to place it. This was sad.
  13. It's not a weapon-only pack, but if you load up the collection you can buy each item individually rather than needing to get the entire pack.
  14. I'm honestly disappointed to see YOU making this topic after the disaster that was the marketing of the Heirloom Collection, and so many of your other pro-player/consumer posts. What this means is that despite all claims to the contrary, and many Founders themselves stating they wish their items were available for every player as well, you would be that one Founder that would say they would sue if their 'eternal fomo' items were brought back. Doesn't that kinda feel off after how player-forward you've been all this time? I actually had this exact thought at the time as well. The wording is such that I thought after the packs were removed from the store, they would be brought back at another time in another way (either though the market, a different supporter pack, or some kind of return like prime unvaulting...except with packs). Consider how dumb I felt when they disappeared and no way of getting them in the future afterwards was laid out. But that was a long time ago. The wording as it exists definitely doesn't preclude these packs coming back, as far as I'm concerned, since that was my literal interpretation at the time. Am I glad I can get those items I missed back then? Absolutely. Would I be upset if DE brought back the Heirloom Collection in a similar matter? No, absolutely not, because everyone deserves the chance to get those items and I spoke out about the marketing even back when it was happening. I had the money put aside and I allowed myself to fall into that fomo trap, even if I waited until the last day to do it, hoping they would change something. I just recently had an extended family member start playing the game and it's been so much fun helping them learn the game I've played for years. I'm in no way looking forward to explaining about the 'exclusive' content that can never be brought back because of 'reasons.' I love that I have another GOOD thing to say about the monetization of this game after the Heirloom debacle. I'm sad to see a post like this even come up. This is an amazing thing I wish we saw more often in live service games.
  15. @[DE]TaylorI know you're an admin so figured I'd tag you here just because of how often poor Megan probably gets tagged. I'd really appreciate it if you passed along my inquiry. Erich responded once at the end of October but he hasn't been on again since the beginning of December. It's halfway through the first month of the new year and no further news about getting digital codes for our physical albums. I'm still waiting, and I will still continue to update this thread in the meantime.
  16. Well here we are - the last day of 2023 and the last day of this ill-advised, poorly presented idea that will forever stain Warframe's 10 year anniversary. 2023 had so many great releases in gaming, and Warframe too had some of the best updates in recent memory. It was the return of in-person Tennocon, even! And then we were given the opportunity, the privilege, of paying $100 to say you had supported the game over its ten year lifetime...even if you had spent money on the game in that time, either through plat, merch, or prime access. Even if you were at Tennocon, in person, paying for the ability to celebrate a game you loved with fellow fans and the developers. I still think they could have avoided so many issues if they had just given out the Accolade to anyone who had done those, even if the price would have smarted for the packs themselves. I waited. I waited until the very end here to see if anything would happen, just because I said I would over the course of this thread. I've watched every devstream this year, listening and looking forward to what's coming. You said you learned, but when it all comes down to it, we've heard that all before. You saw pushback with the very first Prime Access, and you said you learned. You saw pushback with Regal Aya, and you said you learned. I can point to reply after reply in this thread from player historians far better than I who pointed out those 'lessons' you've learned, again and again and again. You had the chance to make things right the very year it was released, but now we're in the very situation Rebecca said they would never do again. She's said live that they never wanted to repeat what happened with Excalibur Prime again, and later the same year she said that they released this. This is forever going to be something now locked from new players' inventories, either because they didn't have the money or hadn't started playing yet. They even unpinned this topic while the packs were still being sold because they refused to do anything suggested that would actually fix their issue. I love this game. I'm not a founder and thus forever locked from the shiny Excalibur Prime in my inventory, so I wasn't going to miss out on this milestone. The fact you had to FOMO it so hard will always taint the Heirloom Collection going forward, even if the Frost skin is the Prime he always deserved. I wanted to post here one last time before the end of the year and the end of this 'promotion.' This isn't the 10 year celebration Warframe deserved. Instead of celebrating 10 years of one of the fairest, most consumer-friendly F2P games on the market, we got the second most expensive macrotransaction in the game's history, second only behind the original Founders packages that helped save the game and offered tangible, real items with it. I love this game, and I'm still excited about where it's going. Getting teasers of future content is always iffy, but getting gameplay teasers for future content in current quests? That's a first, and way better than any devstream release or Tennocon trailer could ever be. If anything, I wish we were kept totally in the dark at Tennocon about 1999, to be super surprised at the reveal that we could actually play the teaser they showed then. It's a great change from past trends, and a good indication of things going forward. I just wish I could say I had as much hope for the monetization of the game staying as great as it once was going into the future too. Another example? Primary and Secondary Arcane slots used to be earned, able to be farmed even in the beginning with Steel Essence. Since there is no cap on an item farm, you could get adapters if you wanted to when you wanted to, and the incursions added later guaranteed one - if not more depending on the Acolyte spawns - gun arcane slot per day. Now, Melee Arcane slots are 50000 Syndicate standing, meaning not even the highest MR can get one in a day, and instead they're diluting a drop table of a limited-time game-mode filled with far more desirable items. Or you can just buy them for 20 plat. It's a sad regression from a much better implementation, which doesn't feel great. There's always the chance that will be adjusted in the future, since unlike this collection that's not a time-limited event they decided can never be changed. Even if this thread is unpinned, even if they do release a better version of the Heirloom packs in the future, we can still point back at this and say, "why couldn't you do this then?" They could have, they just chose not to.
  17. Bumping this again because it looks like we may have seen our last hotfix of 2023. DE, you're going on vacation soon. Everyone deserves one, and I would never begrudge you yours, but I bought this album back in August. Erich said something was in the works for this and I've trusted that - I was just hoping I'd at least get it before the new year. A timely Christmas present, if you will. I could use receipt codes, the code for the in-game poster art, I have lots I can provide that could be used to gain a bandcamp code, I just want to be able to take it on the go. This was offered free with the first soundtrack so it seems strange it would take so long for the second. I'm kinda bummed this was even in question, honestly. @[DE]erichdigital , any news? @[DE]Megan, tagging you again just in case. Anyway, enjoy your holiday!
  18. I'm in the camp that this is a baffling change and worse overall than the alternative. You had said for months that it would be ADDITIONAL and that was good for players. Now suddenly not even before, but actually during the release you walk-back that initiative everyone was so happy about? We literally have evidence you had to edit after the fact to contradict your 'changes' here. This adjustment, even with the recovery, still makes no sense. It was a net positive that turned into a net negative that you're now trying to make simply neutral. And that's not what you said. Keep it the way it is - the way you said it would be. A good change for the players should stay a good change. That's all there is to it.
  19. Well it's now the 1st of December. Tennocon was August 26th, and the digital release of the second soundtrack was finally made available a month and a half later in the middle of October. @[DE]erichdigital has responded a couple of times saying it's still in the works, but there has been nothing on official Devstreams or notices about progress.@[DE]Megan, as the community manager, would you be able to answer this question from a member of the community? The first soundtrack came with a digital download code so I don't see why the second one wouldn't as well, which feels bad to be asked for even more money for something that was given for free before. I'm going to tag @[DE]Rebecca this time too just for a bit of added exposure. Coming up on the end of the year here and I'm thinking I'm waiting for something that isn't going to happen. Since I tagged you anyway, I'd like to thank you both again for signing my artbook at Tennocon! I should have brought the soundtrack for signing too but maybe I'll do that next year if I go again. Thank you for your time. I'm going to keep bumping this occasionally because I was told something was being done. (Editing this to tag Erich after days gone by. I totally understand the two tagged are super busy though - I was just hoping to get some more information.) Erich, since you've been awesome enough to have replied to this thread a couple of times already, do you think asking if I'll see anything before Christmas an unreal expectation, or should I just give up? Is there another community manager I should tag that can pass things along? Asking the admin and creative director was a long shot since of course they're crazy busy, but wanted to give it a shot anyway. Thanks.
  20. I think something may have been messed even if you did meet the requirement because there's nothing quite like getting THREE weapon slots when there was supposed to be many different options. I know RNG is gonna RNG, but man does it feel bad when the others are so much better. This is the problem with having such a huge disparity between the drops. Yeah - IF it works - it it does feel good to get free stuff, but it doesn't feel good at all when you get the cheapest items out of a much greater lottery.
  21. It did come back for me too. Got a Weapon Slot like the other poster above. Kind of hard to be excited about a singular weapon slot worth 6 plat when there's so many more better items available. That's why Grab Bags are a bad idea in the first place. Yay more RNG upon RNG...
  22. Same. Says I can claim a drop but nothing is in the Inventory page. Progress was weird for a while but it did say I could claim eventually, but nothing. Disappointing. This is another reason why if you want to give out gifts and you have a platform for it (the game itself), it's probably better to just do it there than to trust a third-party application to do it for you and mess up.
  23. I absolutely hate these 'seasons' and have for years. The fact that the alternate helmets are locked behind the NW store - and ANY new frame added to the game within the season will NOT get theirs into the store until the next rollover - bothers me to no end. Kullervo has been out for months and we're only just going to get the ability to purchase his alt helm without plat at the end of November here. It's a bad system that needs a proper, automatic, store rotation. You can make the argument about Prime Accessories being bought and therefore waiting years for unvaulting/resurgence is a thing, but the wait for alt helms available for NW credits is just plain bad.
  24. Honestly, that was on my mind too. 80 plat for 1 or 150 for 3 was always in the back of my mind but at the end of the day one can be bought at any time for any reason while the other is a time-gated resource (NW once, SP shop every two months). The reason why everyone is always up for more Umbra is because if they miss one that's one they can never get again, which does make it an outlier no matter what when in a grab bag. I did mention their relative lack of scarcity to the longtime players, but the fact remains, hence the post. I do agree with you as well about the drop quality of the other streams too!
  25. ...I'm sorry, but I just have Sesame Street playing in my head. "One of these things is not like the others. One of these things doesn't belong." You know grab bags have been seeing mixed/poor reception for a while, but this feels pretty bad. I know we're to the point where a lot of players have more Umbra forma than needed, but it's still a rarer commodity. To be chosen at random in a 'Gratitude' drop feels bad. If it's a supposedly special prize why not just put out another extra alert like the QTCC goal alerts so truly everyone gets another, not a random chance at one? Anyway, really nice gifts this time which is always amazing to see! Sadly, the grab bag nature sours it somewhat.
