  1. Because the statement is just outright wrong solely on the premise that not everyone plays the same way you do. If you do want some specific examples: Surging Slash and Rising Storm are still relevant as not everyone runs builds that ignore/bypass the Combo system and not everyone is using Kai mods. Iron Shrapnel does more than just let you recast Iron Skin. Plus recasting Iron Skin isn't that useful of a function since baseline shield gating is more than enough leeway to recast Iron Skin when it expires. Even Reinforcing Stomp would still be useful if Iron Skin could be recasted as maintaining it semi passively is an entirely different approach than constantly refreshing it. Blazing Pillage absolutely wasn't DOA thanks to status scaling and not everyone running AOE weapons and/or Heat damage. And even Pool of Life can be relevant thanks to Health Orb effects. Such as stacking Arcane Blessing, gain energy from Equilibrium/Violet Shards, and trigger Synth Fiber/Health Conversion. Sure that all can sound redundant with Energy Vampire and Blessing but consider that the augment could enable using Helminth to remove one of those two abilities. Also even if one wants to say that most players don't use a lot of those augments that's still not justification to just slap them onto a frame's base kit. Just because most players gravitate towards the path of least resistance (regardless of it being to their detriment or not) doesn't mean options should be removed from others. As making them base just homogenizes builds and pushes everyone towards the same setups which goes against the entire point of having mod options.
  2. Y'know I was going to explain how you're wrong on nearly every single one of these (and even then the bad ones are bad because the base ability is unusable) but it's not worth the effort. Just because you view something as bad or as a band-aid doesn't mean everyone else builds/plays the same way.
  3. Mechs take a few days at most to get with the biggest "wall" there being rank 3 in Deimos and rank 1 in Necraloid. There's effectively zero mandatory RNG in getting a mech and the "grind" is one that nets you access to a whole slew of content just from Deimos alone. If anyone finds this process to be a chore then I don't know how they played the game long enough to reach the point of needing it for New War. Really the only issue here is that Necraloid is tucked away in Deimos where most players end up not knowing it's there in the first place.
  4. The "issues" you're describing are literally intended features of the modding system. Needing to actually make a decision as to what you want your build to do and what you include in it is the entire point of even having the choice. As well it shouldn't be an issue of having to choose the "best" augment a frame has but choosing the best augment for what you're trying to accomplish. For instance you're saying Volt has better augments than Capacitance except Capacitance is a better choice if your build needs a survivability option while Shock Tropper would be better if your build needs/wants more weapon damage over other effects. Also as I recall players didn't want ability mods removed. DE did because they realized most players were only slotting 1-2 abilities and rarely using a frame's entire kit. Which also means the two slots DE removed for that change was a net loss for a lot, if not most, builds. And if you want lesser used augments to be used more the solution is to buff said augments. Making them innate just means the effect would go ignored/stay weak since it already wasn't valued by most players.
  5. If 90% of augments were hot garbage and not worth a slot then these threads/arguments wouldn't exist in the first place. Nobody would be asking for "hot garbage" to be an innate part of a frame, to be able to have those effects equipped for free, players wouldn't be claiming that they're "band-aids" as if they're fixing the frame, nor would players insist that so many frames are "unplayable" without their augments. Instead all of those threads would be solely about wanting said augments buffed. Which is a topic that gets thrown to the side with players instead asking for them to all be entirely free additions to their frames.
  6. A few things to note: The Mech grind isn't remotely as bad as players think it is so long as you know the Necraloid Syndicate exists. It turns the mech grind from RNG part drops to a guarantee after a few days of standing grind. I got a friend who went from not having looked at the game in 3-4 years to having farmed out and claimed their Mech within a week of returning. NW was only a pain on the first season or two. Now you'd have to literally not play the game at all to not hit 30. As for how long they lasts IIRC they're in the range of 6+ months now but there's no hard pattern. Also the story seasons are pretty much "gone" as DE hasn't dedicated the time to making more of them. Focus has been made a casual grind for awhile now. From enemies that award Focus, the Convergence Orb buffs, Lenses being easier to get, and Eidolons being a joke boss thanks to the powercreep. And most new weapons now end up having some unique gimmick, interaction, and/or alt fire. If you're finding that fun you can look forward to Incarnon weapons/Adaptors from the post New War content. Plus NW tends to have a few weapon augments now for older guns which either make those weapons interesting enough to use anywhere or outright meta warping.
  7. Except we don't need yet another layer of powercreep, especially one that'd be massively inconsistent per frame. Also I don't see how needing to spend a mod slot on an augment is ever a bad thing unless the mod is massively underpowered. If the mod has enough value to be slotted then it's just worth using just like every other mod you put in a build. The only thing augments need is for the weak/too niche ones to be buffed so they're worth slotting. If players then feel like they're forced to spend a slot on them then that's their problem.
  8. CC was already long dead back then. The CC build was the only thing she could do beyond low level missions and players claiming it was viable were on massive copium. Same thing goes for the damage amping build as damage creep was and is still a thing. As for current Ember she has damage resistance, armor shredding, far more AOE nuke damage than old Ember, and via augments: DR for allies and infinite energy orb generation. Plus she still has CC, for whatever value that is, with Heat procs and the knock back on Fire Blast and still has a damage amp with Fireball Frenzy.
  9. As yes "fix" a frame by making them only viable for speed running Lith Fissures. Old Ember was trash and was only tolerated for being able to clear low level missions with zero effort.
  10. If you're suggesting removal of the endless join lockout there's a number of issues with that. Players "fishing" for an endless near C rotation. Where players repeatedly join and leave pubs hoping to snag a free C rotation drop without having put the 20+ minutes in. Players who do want A rotation rewards could end up having a harder time getting them out of a pub without spending longer to go past the first C rotation. This issue alone would push more for the option to force host a pub. And players simply being able to get rewards they didn't "earn". Some players don't see the issue with this but it does affect many others and will cause them to change behaviors. After all if someone can put in less effort for the same reward then why not do the same yourself? As is the whole issue of players bailing at the first opportunity is already solved by finding a group that wants to keep running (friends, clan, recruiting, etc) or just running solo.
  11. In case this is referencing dialogues you see repeatedly which delay objectives there is a way to skip pretty much all of them. If you're solo (or the host) you can open the Nightwave menu which causes Nora's dialogue to override the mission dialogue but still activates post dialogue triggers.
  12. Sorry but the only thing that makes some frames "impossible" to use in SP is lacking key upgrades or a player's inability to make a decent build. Every frame can abuse some form of invulnerability and all frames have some abilities that're useful in SP before even considering Helminth abilities. And every frame can be used as a "weapon platform" frame by building solely for survivability and optionally throwing in some debuff/weapon buff. Really anyone struggling to run some frames in SP at all isn't going to be helped by some stat bloating from a frame Riven.
  13. Gonna need a link to where it's claimed to be for new players. Though that aside New War isn't all that much of a prerequisite with how much DE nerfed the grind. All anyone really needs to do now is their junctions, quests, and the heavily nerfed grind for a Mech. Meanwhile quest/junction requirements were nerfed and a Mech takes only a week at most depending on how low that player's MR is.
  14. Considering they at one point, and never recanted the statement, considered deleting stand-alone Archwing missions entirely and they never again mentioned the modular Archwing system I wouldn't go holding your breath on that happening.
  15. Except Netracells are easy and it takes 7-10 minutes to solo? The only change they need is for the farmable Arcanes to be pulled out, everything else about them is fine. But even then the potential reward for how easy/fast they are is pretty substantial even if you sometimes get a dud drop. And as for the new Shard system we already have three sources of Shards and creating Tauforged ones is really just there for the players who only care about Taus.
  16. I don't think getting the absolutely worst odds possible is really indication that there's a fault with it. As for the rest of the system if anything it's too easy/quick to get Kuva weapons. Between everything from their mechanics getting nerfed, having some RNG removed, Oull being added, and how little overall progression it takes to start getting them.
  17. Personally I feel like a lot of his issues would be resolved if his status chance wasn't awful and un-moddable. Since we've received multiple mods/mechanics that benefit from status effects and multiple have been reworked. Scream would be a lot better if he could apply multiple stacks per second thus you'd only need to have it cast for a second or two and get the DOT/Armor stripping/Crit buff on a crowd of enemies instead of his fixed 1 proc/s. Or Effigy being able to apply those effects to an entire room instead of being a turret that doesn't do much but mediocre damage and unimpactful CC. As for the things brought up here, Vex Armor would be pretty broken if it was a toggle considering how much armor and damage it grants. It's also not really fair to compare it to Roar when that's the only damage buff that applies like Faction mods. While Elemental Ward would make more sense as a toggle but then consider that having a toggle means Chroma no longer benefits from energy regen with it active.
  18. As far as connection issues go those are exacerbated, or can only happen due to, having a poor connection quality. There's also specific issues mostly present on last-gen console users where if their host is on a faster machine (new-gen/half decent PC) you can get hard locked if someone brings you into a mission while you're still loading your Orbiter. Which is less of a network/connection issue and more so an obsolete hardware issue. As for the other things mentioned: hosts don't have any "power" because they don't need it in this game. The average mission is too short for kicking to be a concern while this player base would abuse the Hek out of such a feature. And Conclave got dedicated servers because a fair connection environment is crucial to a PvP environment where it makes no difference for PvE.
  19. As I understand this isn't a "non-PC" issue but an outdated console hardware issue. The spawn rate issues aren't present on the PS5 and Series X and is only a problem with the PS4, Xbone, and Switch. So if you have gripes with the system it should be properly directed at least. Really though it's an issue that DE will need to deal with sooner or later. The game launched on those consoles without the ability to properly run the game and have only encountered more issues as the game has evolved. Eventually DE will have to make a version of the game exclusive to those versions (like they tried to do with the Switch), disable crossplay/co-op/hosting entirely, and/or drop support for those consoles.
  20. Rivens already serve their purpose and really don't need changes. As for adding the missing faction damages I can only imagine that going over very poorly with players complaining that it's diluting the pool of effects they want to roll. Also there's no reason to make Warframe Rivens as, unlike weapons, they're intended to be viable at all levels. Plus frames already have access to two Arcane slots without needing adaptors, the Shard system, and are guaranteed to get upgraded variants (Primes) eventually.
  21. The purpose of survival is to kill as many enemies as possible to maintain life support. While in Railjack it's possible for some players to never encounter enemies, thus the drop rate is both higher and Reactant is shared across players. These are two entirely different situations. And no, the issue really is players. Even with low spawn rates all anyone needs to do is wait for Corrupted enemies. Players killing non-corrupted enemies or doing other things to hinder spawn rates are intentionally hindering the mission.
  22. As always wait for enemies to get corrupted before killing them especially in situations where the spawn rate is lower.
  23. Minus Incarnons the Cinta is the only real grind in Duviri, plus that content is still relatively "new". And even then Duviri was already made easier with the addition of Decrees that buff guns. While Citrine released with a pity system. Also most things already have a pity system of sorts via trade. Which applies to the Aoelak for instance as one could turn their Zariman standing into Arcanes to sell/trade for parts.
  24. The same thing applies to every actively updated game especially live service/"mmo" ones. Also while I can't personally relate as my breaks have only measured in the months (while still keeping up with updates) I don't see how there's a grind issue. Nearly every past grind has already been made easier either directly or through other systems/powercreep. Plus anyone who's slightly knowledgeable about the game should know or know how to figure out the best/easiest ways to finish grinds.
  25. Either one weapon I'm actually using throughout the entire mission with everything else either there for the ride or being ranked up passively. Or one weapon I'm testing a build on, one weapon that can carry the mission, and one that's just there or is being ranked. There's just never any reason, outside of PT, to bother with multiple weapons in a mission aside from personal preference. Even priming weapons are entirely superfluous as they're just more effort for more overkill damage.
