     I agree. This is also really frustrating because for years now I have ran melee health tank builds on Excal and most of my frames. Now since this doenst apply outside of those frames I literally cant play the way i have for years whenever there is a source of over guard present. And they keep adding more and more ways for playing to give over guard.
     

    Will you all at DE please consider making it so that over guard generates energy for hunter adrenaline and rage. That or please give us a toggle to opt out of receiving over guard. Im not trying to be dramatic but this is quite literally ruining the game for me and id rather not start dropping from squads that have an over guard frame whenever i see them. I would rather simply not receive the defensive benefit from over guard if it disables my main play style.

    I feel like maybe I would be nice that you could unlock an intrinsic to be able to pick the warframe you want. But at the same time, I feel like I need to experience it before being certain I'd miss the ability to pick one of my favourite warframes anytime I want to. Because I may be wrong, but the core design of Durviri content seems to really rely on that randomization aspect. Circuit at the end seems also to be some of the most replayable content we will get so I don't know if that would be cool to remove that aspect from such a big part of Duviri. I think it's fair that they kinda enforce you to follow how the devs intended you to play Duviri because it's apparently built around this randomness aspect.

    And in comparison, the bounties are probably about getting the drifter melee weapons & components more than anything else. Which would be not unlike the bounties we currently know. Lots of words to say bounties would probably loose replayabilty faster than circuit and circuit sounds like the "evergreen" part of Duviri, therefore the biggest I guess? So it's hard to ask to remove a core aspect on the biggest part.

    Thanks for your reply. Yeah I totally get what you are saying and was thinking about that before making my initial point. I think its totally valid to look at things from the perspective of the randomization being one of, if not, the core aspect of Duviri. If that does end up being the case, to me, it just feels like if there is no way to select what i want from among what i have. That the game design behind Duviri is at odds the the philosophy of the main game in a reductive way instead of an additive way. More so than most other games it really seems like player expression is at the core of warframe. From selecting loadouts and frame to how much emphasis is put on cosmetic choices. So it kinda makes me feel like im being penalized for having a main gear set in a game that seems to heavily encourage and rely on incentivizing players to at first try as many things as possible before focusing in on the gear you like the most and pushing that gear to its absolute limits.  And as someone who has been playing the game for 10 years, while I like going off the beaten path from time to time i also have a very solid idea of how i like to play the game the most. And it seems like almost every other game mode is in favor of this.

    All in all, Like you said, ill also ultimately need to play it first before concluding how I feel about it it just seems like another inevitable situation where an update is released without a small fundamental features that makes the quality of life better, that often times is added in the Echos update anyways. Id just personally not like to wait  potentially 6 months for them to add a feature that seems like an easy win, at least in concept. (i cant personally speak to how hard or easy it would be from a technical aspect to allow parts of Duviri to support player choice in gear)

  3. I have been paying close attention to all the reveals as they have been covered by both DE and content creators. It could be that I simply missed it but I have a question that im not sure has been explicitly addressed. Will there be any warframe modes in Duviri where we can simply select the frame we want to play as, in the same way that the standard game has always worked?  As someone who has a main that I have always a very much like(as im sure many others have their own as well) i feel a little worried about not having the options to go with the play style I like. Im totally cool with the story only Duviri mode and well as the "true experience" mode forcing randomized warframes. However I feel like it would be reasonable to expect that the warframe only circuit mode would allow you to select the frame you want to use. Is there anyone at DE can speak to this or does anyone else know whether or not this is the case?

  4. Anyone else besides me feel like DE is going full evangelion with the operators and warframes.

    I thought of this years ago(im sure im not the only one) but never said anything because there wasnt much to go off of but the more time and content that comes out specifically with the last lines in this quest coupled with the lines your father says it seems more and more likely that we are "piloting" our parents.......or whats left of them...lol

    yep, go with high duration so he stays banished for more than a minute, and just pay attention to the timer so u can quick recast it when it's running out, he'll be invulnerable and with u being invisible you won't have to worry much, i recommend the boltace telos cus u can proc the invisb from farther distance with the wave, but my fav setup is a maiming strike, weeping wound, bloodrush, gas slide crit lesion, the red crits proccing gas, amazing lol., but u gotta get closer to proc the invisib even with primed reach.

    I recommend natural talent, you want to get in get out the rift as quickly as possible, depending on the difficulty of the mission.

    You can, however, use your fourth ability to block out the enemies similarly to Frost's Snow Globe.  Or maybe just use Frost.

    I see and yes in my case it may have to be a static defense target, although I havent tried the sortie one where you have to protect a person. Also will your method work to stop all damage because its one thing to solo and another thing for not even the shields to take damage once,

  6. I agree with a lot of the sentiments brought up in this post. As a grand master founder I really, really dont want to give up on the game and am trying to squeeze some fun out of it. But honestly with lunaro and then the kavats and having to back track the star chart when I am MR 22 and already have all the primes ect. My main issue is this game has no endgame. They mentioned adjustable difficulty like a year and a half ago and nothing ever happened to it. I am honestly really sad about it. This is the first game I have put so much into. But like...the fun of the base game play is just not there. Up until you have everything its not as noticeable because you are constantly distracted by all the new stuff. The issue I have is that none of the systems DE adds have lasting appeal. And their cyclical development style really magnifies this because with each new system it takes longer to get back to any give other system. Like just playing the game to play the game needs to be fun but that has never really been a priority its always been second to loot drops and new content. Feels bad man....

    That's competently incorrect. Everything is false outside of the fact that hitting with the actual sword is what makes the combo counter increase. However the shadow debt mods still do not apply regardless nor does hitting with that waves reset the counter.

    I agree with both of you. I have always been a proponent of lengthening the actual melee counter to at least half of what it is with these mods maxed. Idk why DE made body count instead because it is an obvious band aid mod but I am trying to work with them here. Ideally they would buff the melee combo counter and let Exalted melee use these mods therefor everyone wins. Bloodrush and body count are no longer mandatory to make melee viable but you can still enhance melee as well as theults in question if you want too.

    I like the place that exalted melees are in. The weapons do more damage, but the abilities have extra utility. 

    If we're allowed to get Body Count and Blood Rush on EB, Hysteria, and PF, then we're right back to the Excalibur/Valkyr/Wukong or GTFO scenario that melee combat was not too long ago. 

    Honestly not trying to be factious here. However this kind of thinking logically leads to every frame being able to do a little bit or all of what every other frame can do.

    Life strike isnt as good at healing as one of trinitys or oberons powers. 

    Likewise nova isnt a take and Rhino isnt a nuker.

    I think it is ok to have some frames (especially thematic ones whos whole design philosophy is founded on a single idea i.e swordsman/ melee berserke) be better than others at certain things. Also it seems you missed a little bit of the point. Right now  regular melee is just pretty much better than Exalted melee. As in there are frames who have a whole power slot- a power that drains energy dedicated to a move that any frame (including those very frames) can outperform with almost any give melee weapon provided the combo counter is high enough. This is just faulty design at this point. When it makes more sense for the melee frames to forgo using their melee powers in favor of a more powerful wider available cheaper option.

     Oh no you're right radial blind is a great skill. I should have been more clear I was mentioning that I tend not to use his mini blind on his ult. So I personally wouldn't mind if it was removed for that reason. Although I know some other players may use it I never really was fond of it because it was nerfed quite a bit from the actual 2nd ability.

     I agree with this so much. Please post this in the new mega thread for the recent excalibur changes so that DE can see it as well as others

    i would rather get rid of the blind effect and be able to use spin attack freely. 

    spin attacks for any melee, including exalted blade, is too important, beyond the blind ability. i do not want to be losing energy for spin attacks. since spin attacks get used so much even without the blind for changing direction and and AOE, exalted blade burns up energy super-fast now. get rid of the blind(though i do love it!) if you have to, or reduce its area and duration.

    not sure what the solution is, but extra energy loss for spin attack is foul.

     I can honestly get behind this. I personally never use the blind. Also it is really frustrating to have to try and kill the habit of using slide attacks as they are one of the oldest melee attacks in the game. It almost feels like im being punished for reflexes I have developed over the last three years
