  1. so i just got back to my orbiter after collecting every hashcode scan

    Spoiler

(was directed to the place with the lock that is not unlockable/interactable yet in dialogue)

in a single session with a little help from a map(because they don't show on the scanner outside 30m lord help us all), post patch.

orbiter ui says undiscovered for 100% of them. what the heck?

i have relogged, and reentered vallis to check the one closest to the entry from fortuna which reads "codex entry complete".

now i believed for a bit it might be only displaying progress as complete when enough people communally discover them all, but some individuals show that some or all of them show complete for them in the same ui.

so, uh.. which is it supposed to be, or which is the bug?

i ask this as this seems like the place for official clarification, and cursory perusal and a quick search for a couple word salad combos didn't turn up any(clarification).

  2. so this appearance of the grineer event, finally churned out parts for it and built.

installed gravimag from the menu option that is prompted on attempt to equip for land use slot, and was not prompted to install a catalyst first(it was also mr0 fresh out of the foundry).

i believed this might have been a feature so noted it and checked stock, catalyst amount available remained the same as before gravimag install this way, yet capacity on newly gravimagged imp vandal was appropriate for mr 26 with a catalyst on an unranked weapon(52). no plat removed either. so what the heck?

okay thats either a bug or a feature, i legitimately do not know, if its a bug could i get some help?

ahem. moving on, proceed to try some leveling for formaing.

on nearing end of first leveling process notice that damage values listed inside the upgrade menu ui is MUCH MUCH higher than in the vehicle loadout ui for BOTH land and aw mode, but ONLY for elementals.

proceed to examine more closely and find that imperator vandal, with zero mods was showing toxin and radiation in addition to ips inside the upgrade ui, but only ips in the vehicle loadout hover stats.

it seems this mysterious toxin and radiation is being added to the elemental damages listed if any elementals/combos are added, but only inside the upgrade ui.

i tried to cover the different config weirdness in the following video navigating around the ui and loadouts.

as i am not seeing this specifically reported elsewhere, i begin to suspect this may be related to the gravimag upgrade noted above, and that this entire run of things is somehow all rooted in a singular bug, that i as an end user can't simply fix.

i checked and it does not apply to the regular imperator, nor is there any weird erroneous damage values for any of my other aw weapons gravimagged the normal aw mode>catalyst>gravimag way manually step by step.

this also is beyond the reported ips spread being nerfed to match the regular imperator for some patches. it also isn't a session issue as it persists through relog(ie appears permanent, cannot fully determine if any ui is correct/ its a purely ui).

should i be contacting support directly as well as this report? has anyone else had this happen?

So, today i happened to take a look at my Keewar build to make sure my riven was equipped but i noticed that the damage numbers were not what they used to be a couple of days ago, the parts for my build are PLAGUE KEEWAR + PLAGUE BOKWIN + EKWANA II RUHANG which should give me the following stats

    ATTACK SPEED 0.783
    CRITICAL CHANCE 10.0%
    CRITICAL MULTIPLIER 2.0x
    STATUS 36.0%
    STANCE POLARITY V
    TOTAL DAMAGE 118.0
    IMPACT 32.9
    PUNCTURE 16.4
    SLASH 38.8
    VIRAL 29.9
    LEAP ATTACK 236.0
    SLIDE ATTACK 252.9
    WALL ATTACK 196.7

Instead this are the numbers showing up when i'm playing

    ATTACK SPEED 0.783
    CRITICAL CHANCE 10.0%
    CRITICAL MULTIPLIER 2.0x
    STATUS 36.0%
    STANCE POLARITY V
    TOTAL DAMAGE 29.0
    IMPACT 7.9
    PUNCTURE 4.7
    SLASH 9.1
    VIRAL 7.3
    LEAP ATTACK 29.0
    SLIDE ATTACK 63.0
    WALL ATTACK 49.0

Did i miss the nerf in the patch notes? because i have been looking and i cant find anything.

    Thanks for the help!

wearing an extinguished dragon key by chance? 118/4 = 29.5, ie the damage after a 75% reduction, which coincides with dragon key:extinguished

  4. solo.

tier 1 orb bounty. no reward screen after fishing, even after going to 3/3 and transition to phase 2 objective. no reward from bounty list for phase 1 either(relic, component or mod should be awarded).

phase 2 so far.. 1 instance of no datamass.(sent to pearl location)

2 instances of completed defend and nothing, sticks on defend.(1 time at pearl, 1 time at transport center)

bonus noxiousness? 1+ minute dialogue each time you start bounty 1 that is unskippable. at least the orb bounty overall intro is skippable(the one before getting to the bounty list).

  5. oh sweet summer child. have you not built chroma yet?

    how about nidus or harrow.

then let us talk about farming for war hilt+blades, coolant leak, silent battery, condition overload, vengeful revenant, any specific kela de thaym mod.. and so much more.

rng with no safety net mechanics, even at absurd points like boss kill#1000, allowing a choice from a list.. because generally you can always choose to just buy it.. is the gift that warframe keeps giving. forever.

  6. interesting. kudos for not suggesting one that makes your codpiece grow for every crit.

although working form that, perhaps one that increases the size of companion for each companion kill, with a falloff timer?

    need catzilla.

other thoughts. flagpole on corpses. similar to ribbon concept presented but with higher visibility beyond self, perhaps flag corresponds to method of death for target, or perhaps glyph equipped.might be weird with dissolve etc type status proc effects.

Offtopic but I still want to point it out since so many player get it wrong

    U6orbaa.jpg

It is either Li or Ii not 2

    You mean Rapier, right?

look at the provided image for ekwana jai. one circle one rounded rectangle/pill shape.

look at ekwana Ii jai. TWO circle parts one rounded rectangle/pill shape. ditto jai v jai Ii, ruhang v ruhang Ii.

it doesn't matter how you take it, this is a contextual point. the difference between one and two is Ii. so it means two or double no matter how you write it. further every single word has autofirstcap now which is when this occurred. so its capital i lowercase i. roman numeral two.

  8. this. information additional: seems like its getting stuck in "not solo". ie squad chat tab remains.

personal anecdotes, related. changing mode to solo from any other mode while in the starchart ui almost always failed to remove the squad chat, will result in "not really solo" unpausable.

exiting starchart ui and changing modes, then back to solo works sometimes. success seems dependent or at least co-incident with triggering removal of squad chat tab.

have also observed restarting game(and/or game and machine game is running on) starting in solo setting of grouping dropdown, but with squad chat tab present.

notes this is aberrant behaviour for the client in itself.

could others kindly try changing modes in and out of starchart and seeing if and or when the squad chat tab is removed, while on your orbiter?

then if you find setting solo removes the squad chat tab, see if pausing is working?

think this might be actually key to the problem.

    - umm, why does this matter to the discussion? Doesn't mean I'm wrong.
    - I was using that to make a point in a different thread. I've only actually done that a handful of times.
    - If you must get a backstory on me..... I actually hate Hydron (mostly for the reason stated in this post) and usually take to leveling my gear in Spy missions.

because it directly relates to the argument you CHOSE to use in the first place.

yes we believe you have only done afk for 15 minutes with ember "a few times".

and this third line is what drives the point home. you hate hydron because some players in some public matches run a buld that gets some players who aren't prepared killed in a map you hate but are in anyway. yet you don't see anything illogical in that argumentation.

worse you proceed again and again to think that having multiple ways a thing CAN BE PLAYED is a NEGATIVE THING>

so lets define it as one and only one way and if you weren't doing that before, get hosed people.

how about this. go visit find a squad recruitment and find those that share your views instead of like OH SO MANY crusading that everyone suck down only one way for all.

but hey lets go back in the time machine to other DE intended mechanics, how about the one when they changed to radial affinity and added mr based starting mod capacity, both as a stopgap measure intended to be temporary(as a certain founder redditor likes to trot out frequently) way back in 2013 when the founders program was ending. there are a great deal of not as originally planned elements.

and holy crap as i write.

what are we playing shooters for you say.

protip and fact rolled into one.

the first thing you are doing at the very tippy tip of the game after cinematic and picking a frame to start with, is use powers to nuke. before even GETTING A WEAPON>

    "shooter".

that the game allows lassitude in its design such that it can be played AS a shooter and not a powers only, or melee only game is exactly the same sort of variability you are herein arguing to remove a chunk of.

the problem is your perspective or lack of same.

  10. 3 minutes ago, RayxAyanami said:

Why do I feel like people will always have a problem no matter what DE does.

Maybe we should just make warframe a Mobile game with lootboxes.

no but, sweet jebus would it be nice as a standalone instead of online only.

suddenly moddable, or if one doesn't like a major change one can hold on a prior patch and , you know enjoy the game without this weeks churn breaking or burying something for them... and that holding true for everyone suddenly even those with wildly different views.

then if op wanted no speedva, well hot dang, they could mod that way the game itself and see how popular the communities they can find supporting that are or aren't, all neatly wrapped int heir desired space.

but yeah, beyond that a quick review says op is in fact overpresent in hydron, as noted by one of their last comments in another thread on their 15 minute afk ember build for the node.

I could afk on Hydron for the first 15 waves with my build before the rework, and take all the orange stats. :P

and continuing to ignore that newsflash, people are different.

theres always ways to hose someone else over. some of them don't even have ways to do anything about it even knowing its possible. a pencil is a murder tool in the hands that make it so as well, lets eliminate those. sigh.

  11. pointless focus on nova.

its a wider problem of player intent conflict.

public exists as the default post vors prize.

it cares not if it throws four of the same frame with non stacking buffs as their build focus.

it cares not if its four desecros with an mr0 weapon loadout hoping to leverage utility against noodle damage output.

it cares not if its four nukers then displeased at not being the ONE doing the thing above all.

from an external perspective the population that isn't on nova wants simple things.

her 1 does jack crap for them sot hey don't care if you built for it, if you did you are bad.

her 2 is a nuke and direct competition to other nukers, so if you built for it and its slower or stealing their action, you are bad.

her 3 is troll as hell in the hands of most, hell you can exit and land above the skybox with it in coba earth tile leaving everyone stuck ~100 meters above the combat area permanently. its hardwired to not apply to most desirable situations like escorts nowadays, and it generally is a clunky pos for getting hostiles into the concentration area on defenses while adding no damage, debuff, or similar to hostiles. even the augment requires trusting the nova to not be a derp or a troll for piddling movespeed.

    which leaves the four.

its a damage multiplier even in speedva. which is NOT in fact a bad thing in hydron, unless of course like so many others, you have randoms and noobtard leeches running at a wall with their toe on a key while they netflix and nosepick.

meanwhile slowva is still exactly as troll af when not making things take all week is desired. remove public or actually force the work to improve it. removing options to ensure noone has to fire two consecutive braincells ever.. just no. even the cesspit of design that is games like league require just a hairs breadth more consideration of what to bring and where while providing *some* options for variation beyond the normative.

so you are ultimately barking up something. mostly bad ideas that remove options in favor of pushing the braindead afk farm pit over, you know, the fact that the rest of the game exists?

  12. 31 minutes ago, WhiteMarker said:

But you asked for ways to buy this stuff. I gave you an answer.
And 20k standing, that's one pack of relics a day. And after farming for 4 days you get another pack. Pretty chill.

    cool lootbox story brah.

What would you think would be a better solution?

this is by their own admission a data collection setup.

its not like they don't have data on hammering in a repetitive mode space already. infested salvage and nidus. defection and corrupted bane mods plus harrow systems.

huh. theres the void. theres the entire lack of variation in capture reward tables(one loot list for every capture on the map).

there are alternative places to put them, but choice? no because want to draw the maximum people over time window FOR the loot added specifically.

it doesn't take much to observe the plains focus side benefits they expect to reap as well. more people on plains is more justification for the design which falls to dirt low figures when there is no "event" on them. peak 40 cetus instances down to as low as 2?

and more people on plains means more chances to catch reports on the bugs that riddle them, and keep recurring or persisting too.

its a closed loop of justification, good intentioned or not, and each reasonable enough step leads to the next until we get this mess of a state of things. road to hell and all that.

so step one is convince them they've made reasonable steps that lead to other justifiable reasonable steps each getting farther from good, and closer to pure arbitrary no choice or variation grinding.

I'm ashamed to say but I'm willing to jump into any lore thread around here, especially grineer medical issues part of it. Warframe. What I feel about Grineer is, the way they work around their problem is rather paradoxical. So let's define how genetic deterioration work first before we move on. But I'd say that for grineer to prevail due to gradual 'racial' deterioration is very unlikely now at this point.

    What is 'Grineer Deterioration'

    • It is likely just a group of deleterious mutations in their makeup that cause health problems, while real DNA-repair disorders exist, they generally look much more severe than what we're seen of grineer. From the look of it, Grineer does not seem to have extremely fatal/damaging condition that puts itself on unmanageable level or would kill someone in their childhood. But still can be considered severe, if compared to general population. For example, an augmented 'genetical Grineer' would not be able to join military as it is today.
    • It's established that the clones will get worse every generation, although in reality, while mutation could've arisen during the formation process of the clone. If there is a genetic temple sequenced for the best version, I'd assume the technology of Grineer is advanced enough to just build strands of DNA on its own and placed in a blank egg. Clone of a clone to cause a problem, seem to only happen if Grineer take a genetic sample from a grineer of previous generation, just like how cloned animals were made today, then repeating the process.

So here could be some reasons for it to happen :

    • Resource issues after Orokin fall : Grineer were just workers without much knowledge of any genetic manipulation, and they've always been sterile for a long time. After Orokin fall, and under the reign of the queens. They needed to build required infrastructure first, more workers are needed, they used the traditional cloning method because sequencing whole DNA precisely can be a bit of difficulty at the time. Until enough time that they'd sequence the standard template, the best specimen they could find .
    • Allowing evolution to happen : Now we've sequenced genomes of many species, yet we don't exactly know everything about its function and how they work together as a whole. Orokin Empire probably knew, but It'd take thousands of years from now on to get to that point. Grineer starts from mostly nothing again. So cloning a clone with advantageous mutation could ensures a better generation in the future without actually manipulating the DNA directly which is more resource intensive. Now comparing to painfully stupid Veytok, they'd come a long way, now we have potentially intelligent clones like Vor, Regor and other boss grineer with maybe Lech Kril as an exception.

So why it is a big problems now? It's mostly the method of growth, selection and philosophy that went into it...

    • The Queens' standard of selection could prevent actual, healthy clone because of one limitation The limitation that the clone must be obedience to both of them, at all cost. Dumb slaves forever. Since minor health issues could be fixed with cybernetic augmentation an medical interventions. It's better to have a slightly worse breed to would never defect. If the Grineer were independent being, they could actually try to better themselves, or even finding a way to reverse their Orokin-locked sterility. They'd become practically normal human at that point though. This is just like show dog breeding where extreme trait could come with harmful side effects.
    • Harmful Mutation might not be seen due to Heterozygosity This is your usual dominant/recessive alleles, a seemingly optimal clone with one part advantageous mutation could have other harmful mutations hidden in their genome. They're then later cloned for next generation, becomes a template, for long enough time a second allele mutation pops in and that could cause issues.
    • Accelerated Growth could promote greater health problems in Grineer, I don't know what they put into the tube for grineer to become fully adult in, I'd say not longer than a few years. They are still more or less human, so take that as a base. Their organs could fail to develop normally, causing individual deterioration. Rapid cell growth could introduce more mutations into the specimen (This I'm using cancer as the model, we're talking hypothetical science now). If the particular clone found success. Already mutated DNA could be taken for next batch, which would introduce the issue into that generation. This is supported by the ghouls being hastily grown, and much more unhealthy compared to normal grineer troops.

Here's what I think about that, Realistically Grineer could have many genetic templates in use now which is in the range of 'usable', for a different task, and some of the clones will be cloned from these templates. Some will be clone of the clone for evolutionary purpose (essentially creating a new template by chance). If the mutation gone to far in 'clone of the clone' line they'd probably just discard it. It is just more likely that their base templates weren't really good to begin with, but they'd otherwise at least staying the same place.

    Now answering your question

Grineer might not only amputate somebody's legs just because it is necessary, but because cybernetic legs could be better than a real thing. It could be easier to maintain, would not get infected, get tired or feel pain. Or perhaps it's just because you can't send a limping crippled running into battles. Cybernetics replacement could be just a result of combat injuries, remember Vay Hek is a chicken machine because he was eaten alive, not because he was born too weak. This could explain about older Grineers as well, also when they are getting old, the performance of replacements exceed natural body parts. For female Grineer, the genetic template might not have the strongest legs around, Cressa and Kavor defectors might be from a different line with good legs, or did not have much labour intensive work to get their legs replaced. Along with genetics that results in difference in expression of genes even with mostly the same DNA. Although I am sure they are likely to have circulatory problems as the whole.

And Tyl Regor would not be helping much either, but Grineer would be worse off without him, his job is, trying to find deleterious mutations in the template and replace it with a possibly healthier alternative allele. He is still limited in their method and philosophy of the queens however, that they just need hastily made obedience soldiers and workers, easy to grow and control. Sterile, so no independent reproduction, and no natural selection as well.

P.S: I am no MD, just a Biology uni student who'd rather wasting my time typing up this useless sh!t trying to explain a game with space mecha ninja magick kiddo rather than study. I get you I'm bored too

not wasting your time. just imagine how many people will fail to generate anything new at all today. you are performing a minor but valuable service.

nice thoughts on the topic though. had me thinking on the 1k a pop gene splicing by mail order you can do nowadays i first learned about when those fellows were shooting for glow in the dark moss(insect genes spliced into moss), and shifted to naturally scented, gene edited moss batches. was a nice thought to raise on time to master the area to properly direct outcomes predictably versus naively or disastrously.

  14. nice theory, but wouldn't cutting to the chase be simply noting that the degradation eventually becomes unmanageable at all? all it takes is blocking efforts to work around those issues and they will die off anyway -being unable to produce viable, even with modifications, clones any more. at which point even the queens will go unless they set up some shop to personally abduct non grineer for inhabiting instead ahead of time.

which itself begs yet another question with regards to them: why inhabit grineer bodies with modifications, instead of sending troops out to kidnap some non clone healthy bodies?

ie warframe in a nutshell: nothing makes sense when trying to make sense of it. repeat "magical space ninjas" until the need for reasoning to prevail, passes.

Okay, but Riven Transmutation doesn't ask you for powerful Rivens. It's specifically for subtracting Rivens you don't want from your Inventory for a new freebie Riven. The kind of Rivens put into Transmutation, nobody is going to pay real money for. The Rivens are free (especially the ones up for Transmutation), the Transmuter is free. It gives a player anohter chance at something they want. I'm not seeing the cash grab here.

bulk purchases from others in trade using bought plat because addicted to rolling hoping for what i want, or big score.

just because we make players complicit in whale fishing, doesn't mean thats not the behavior we are centering on with the design of the space or system.

  16. you missed something critical.

because they have only done so ONCE so far since introducing them, everyones failing to get that if you have some "godlike" riven and the disposition of the weapon it is for changes to weaker, the stats drop retroactively.

which means not only is it limited slots even with paying through the eyes for more, while still not covering the arsenal.. but havin the ones you desire can still see them rendered useless by disposition change.

hint, thats coming along with beam and melee passes. it was noted in the primary/secondary pass it was so.

the entire system is a trap. yet its not early game. guess that makes it an eldernoob trap. or more fittingly, a trap for those who buy into what they put out and just accept it, because of glacial change pace not making it hard to do so.

unless you think a middle disposition riven for say 120% multishot plus 200+% damage going to 30% and 50% is still great for the effort time and rng involved.
