  1. Be a nice QoL thing to have an option to toggle off the random colors option so it can't be hit by accident. Or some means to "bookmark" a look so it can be recovered easily.
  2. Failed a bounty today because the caches in the Enrichment Center were impossible to find. The interface was directing me to places that didn't exist (an arrow indicator was outside the map) and I scoured the highlighted area again and again until the timer ran out. I suggest, yet again, to get rid of this particular variation of the cache hunt OR make sure they appear in easier to find locations.
  3. I question making Negation Swarm part of Scarab Armor. I feel like at the rate status effects can get applied, it would chew through Scarab Armor very fast, overall nerfing it. But having never used Negation Swarm (fearing this exact scenario), I dunno how true this is, and I suppose it will be easier to reapply Scarab Armor on the fly. Of course, it's possible that the rework of the augment mod will mitigate this concern. "*Augment now offers death protection, but will hit you with a Slash proc after the Invulnerability period ends." Also, I don't understand what this means. Does that mean we get slash proc'd after casting it? Does that trigger the Negation Swarm part? Would that mean the armor decays immediately after applying it?
  4. Just do what Brozime says. A tap/hold system is simple and resolves all current issues with it. The end. Why make it more complicated than it needs to be?
  5. I was looking on my account page to figure out how and the only option was to link to another account I don't have and don't need. I don't really mind if we all have to enable it, but I keep finding conflicting information and unclear instructions and it's rather confusing. Having to make an otherwise useless account to cross trade in general seems needlessly convoluted.
  6. So do PC players have to do anything to trade with non-PC users or is this just a concern for anyone who wants to use console? Because I want to trade, but have no need for a console account personally.
  7. I don't even get how to enable cross platform save. I don't need to link my account to another platform but there seems to be no option to enable this without doing so which makes no sense. I just want to trade some stuff with a friend on Switch. Or does my friend have to create a PC account specifically to link to in order to trade? I could really use some simpler, specific instructions.
  8. So I did the Sortie today with a friend and got mind controlled by Mutalist Alad V. He cycled through some of my powers and after it wore off, my warframe was in super slow motion for the rest of the mission. The slowness was similar to me being under the slowing effect of my own gloom aura, but it persisted even when I had control again, even when the aura wasn't on, and even after Alad was defeated. Lasted until I exited the mission. I don't know if having gloom available on my warframe was the culprit, but it's the only common link. If Alad had some other slow effect, I'm not aware of it.
  9. Gave it another try. Tried using pherliac pods and Vortex to group enemies together, but it still didn't work. Pods wouldn't deploy and Vortex seems to make it so the canisters don't actually work (they changed color, but were taking no damage). Plus having to go from one end of the field to the other to get the timed canisters spreads enemies out. No advice anyone suggests works because the test does not work the way people say it should (and "skill issue" is a worthless meme phrase that changes nothing). Been stuck on this mastery test for over a year. I want to skip it because it has no value whatsoever and is immensely frustrating.

Anyone know why that is? I know I see Orokin lasers in Derelics and the Void tilesets just fine so it's just these.
  11. Dark Sector and Warframe superficially resemble each other because one pre-dated the other. So what? We're once again made to play someone else (so our main progress continues to mean nothing) while still doing the bare bones basic Warframe experience. Even the enemies are just reskinned infested. It's basically going back to start again. But sure, cool cat. That totally makes up for another quest that reminds us how pointless all our mainline efforts are.
  12. New War is the prime example of this problem. "Prepare for the New War" was a big, disappointing, waste of time given how much of that preparation they encouraged was irrelevant. New War just shows how much of a bad habit this is.
  13. I assume we won't get our gear because that's how this stuff always works. Arthur's just the next Khal. He might function a bit more like a Warframe, but he's someone else. Another start over.
  14. I'm not going to change your mind because I agree: it shouldn't be left up entirely to RNG. Other things can be worked towards without luck wasting our time, so this should too.
  15. In other words, you gotta get lucky. Nothing says "challenge" like just waiting for the game to give you permission to proceed, which is what luck boils down to. Personally, I prefer to be challenged at my best. Otherwise, there's no point in even working towards a best. Randomization doesn't make me want to develop my arsenal, it makes doing so a tedious chore with no benefit because they just find another excuse to take it away again. Randomization is just another tool in their kit to make the whole pursuit of power in this game pointless.
  16. That doesn't address my point. Yes, they keep providing stuff for us to chase, but there's never a reason to chase it because when something major comes up, we're not allowed to use it.
  17. Is this sarcasm? Either way, knowing everything we worked towards gets abandoned to throw some new rando at us every so often means I have zero reason to care or get invested in this new guy. He won't matter in a week either.
  18. Why have that power exist to chase in the first place? The fact is that despite nerfs, despite making us abandon it for other characters, they still provide more of that power for us to chase. Why? What's the point? Why do we even care about whatever the meta is since it never matters when it counts? If they don't want our power to run amok, then maybe they should stop providing more of it to us all the time.
  19. I only look at one Youtuber and only rarely if I actually want his opinion. Otherwise, I do my own thing and build my own way and ignore them. There are other things to watch in youtube besides opinions I never asked for.

New War was kind of the biggest wake up call I had in regards to the ongoing pattern that the loot chasing we do is pointless because whenever something big comes up we're forced to play someone else. After the Operator, Drifter, and Khal, I am just plain tired of being someone else. I'm tired of my efforts feeling invalidated because of what feels like trend chasing whims. I'm tired of any potentially interesting story threads going no where. So at this point, I really just can't care about this new guy because not only do I just not want to be him, but I know he's not going to matter after the questline is over.
  21. Good point. As it is, we fight enemies in a massed, mixed horde that approaches as a randomized blob of guys, so armor types are going to be so mixed that the only worthwhile elemental distinctions to make are faction specific, not unit specific. But when the armor typing isn't even consistent between enemies of the same type (Lancers, Baliffs, ect) it makes armor distinctions even more pointless to remember.

So I just found out if you attempt to fast travel somewhere and, at the same time, get attacked by one of those animals that they want you to cure as a random side objective, you'll teleport to where you want to go, snap back to the animal, become stuck and then become frozen forever, unable to do anything except force abort the game. When you first snap back, you can shoot the orbs near the animal, but then you'll be completely frozen afterwards. And you still can't move regardless. I suggest making it so I can't be attacked, staggered, or grappled while actively teleporting or prevented from teleporting while those things are happening.
